Star Wars: X-Wing Verses Tie Fighter and Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter both had better controls.

Never mind the 'Rouge Squadron' series.

Wow, you seem to have strong opinions about flight controls.
I liked the simplicity. A lot of flight simulators are overly complex to me.
I have played some of those games you mention and was frustrated by them.
Of coarse the best thing you can do with SWBFII is play with a friend.
Either to beat their ass or team up to defeat the enemies.
It's always fun when a friend steps on a well placed mine.

I'm a big fan of flight games.
Been playing them since the first Star Wars game back on the PC.

I think the games I mentioned are all rather simple.

I do like playing with friends as well.
SWBF2 is best on PC, with the internet on.

But 'Ace Combat' is a REALLY fun series to play with friends as well.
