ET... i shouldn't have to explain why the arcing plot is dumb. alien kid gets left behind and wanders around and befriends some kid? yeah they can travel to different galaxies but they can't keep track of their young.

Saving ryan's privates... no one in the high command gives two shits about infantry or really anyone unless they're someone important's son. they wouldn't waste an entire crack squad just to retrieve the last of a bloodline, some members of the squad being last of their bloodlines as well most likely (iirc, i don't think there was an order to assemble a squad that all had siblings that were safe).
sure that whole point i just brought up is a statement of the futility of war, maybe he intended it, maybe he didn't.

but either way it makes him look like a jackass. such a powerful statement: an entire squad being lost for one man representing how the old throw the young at their problems expediently, and any other theme expanded by the situation, is made completely moot by the fact that the situation they're in would never happen in the first place.

Mark of Kri is awesome stuff, its like if they made a rated R Disney animated film set in Asia. Great combat, awesome cutscenes, graphics aren't bad for being a launch title, and the music is awesome (still pissed there is no form of it available).

Obviously no way I can comment on anything else, since there have only been 2 episodes. I am already dreaming of G3 Rinko, but Toei tends to let me down in the lady rider department. Oh wait, the sizing. I could have sworn the sides were spring loaded. Nope. They are selling sizing sets, but from the looks of it, they each have a couple sizes on them. So, to have one for every ring would be hella expensive and you'd have a TON of excess plastic sitting around :sad:

I've had a weakness for ring gimmicks for a long time. Maybe it's a Green Lantern thing? I think the sizing might actually not be an issue for me just because my hands are so small. I can wear kids rings here with no problems, so unless kids rings in Japan are much smaller, I should be in the clear.

No, no, I agree with you. I have no problems with it on the show, but as a toy, for what they cost, it's just not very good. I feel like it's more a figure/ring set than something you'd really play with. If I could get the sizes right, Wizard could ride Unicorn and that would be pretty cool, at least. It's definitely a downgrade though, which is a shame because I think all the ones we've seen on the show are pretty cute.

Mark of Kri is awesome stuff, its like if they made a rated R Disney animated film set in Asia. Great combat, awesome cutscenes, graphics aren't bad for being a launch title, and the music is awesome (still pissed there is no form of it available).

It was my first PS2 game :erm:, I still have it in better condition than people keep new games in.

Not my first, but a genuine surprise. It had zero promotion from Sony, but they released it anyway and then went on to get numerous game of the month awards with most reviewers asking "Where did this game come from?"

Yep. PC, Mac. I don't remember a PS version of either. Available from GOG (around 6$ each) or Steam. On both sites they tweaked the game so it works on Vista and 7.
