Cut it down to 30....then down to 25...back up to 28....now it's....29 I think.

The first volume I actually tried to create a POP album to my ears.

This one I didn't try so much.

It started out really gloom n' doom....so I went back and replaced a lot of the gloomy songs with a little more upbeat....but it still gets pretty dismal at times. :laugh: Oh well.

It's the rules....the 2nd in a trilogy is always the darkest.

I think its easily the best video game movie too, but I kinda hated how they changed the order. They were far more mysterious and evil in the games but in the movie they are pretty much indistuingishable from a modern Puritan church imo.

I think its easily the best video game movie too, but I kinda hated how they changed the order. They were far more mysterious and evil in the games but in the movie they are pretty much indistuingishable from a modern Puritan church imo.

The cult stuff from 0, 1, 3 has always felt a bit mish-mashed to me. I try to avoid thinking about it so I'm not wrecking my enjoyment by thinking of plot-holes and such. 1 and 3 are definitely the ones where the vast majority of my enjoyment comes from the environments.

That's true for the entire series, but 0 (Travis specific stuff), 2, Homecoming (Alex specific stuff) and Shattered Memories definitely shine because of the protagonists and their.....life decisions.

The Order stuff in 4 felt pretty damn specific to telling the story of Walter. The same goes for Homecoming, where they officially "merged" the movie and game mythos of the Order. The Order drives the outcome of Alex's life and Walter's.

0, 1 and 3 feel more specifically about the cult itself through the lens of Alessa.

I guess I'm saying oddly enough the point where they officially brought the two versions of the Order together is pretty great, for me. And, it was before that where I feel a bit uneasy about it. But, not in any large way. Even when it was a focal point of the series, I enjoyed the small bits of the characters we saw (Harry and Heather).

I can definitely see how the movie Order is much more specifically reminiscent of a puritanical church, though. But, I'm the sort of person who enjoys seeing those sorts of groups get their comeuppance. So, it doesn't bother me.

I want to buy it on bluray, but still confused as to whether the audio is lossless or not.
It has a PCM track, I think. But you need HDMI (level 3) to playback the 5.1 of PCM properly.
Which I don't have :(

So far, the case still says "Dolby Digital 5.1" which usually means AC3@640Kbps... :sad: (Lossy)
And not TrueHD.
(I really only need TrueHD to convert movie to DVD without any quality loss on the audio :rolleyes)

Some bad reviews of the bluray cirulated as well. People weren't happy with how dark it was and something about the PSNR or some crap... >.>

I've never played the PSP original, but the PS2 port is great.

If I recall correctly one is darker than the other, but that's not a bad thing in SH. Other than that, I don't think there's anything noticeable different, iirc.

Have heard the theme but havent ever had the inclination to listen to the whole thing, much less finish the movie.

Read the book imaging most of the actors as the characters with the exception of Ryan (Imagined him as Harrison Ford who played Ryan later).
