The scene was actually shot the day after the Hollywood premiere. (That's why it's in such crappy video.) The whole shawarma thing (when he was on his back after waking up at the end of the fight,) was an improv by Downey. The idea for the post credits scene apparently came up after joking around after the screening, and they just decided to go for it. Keep in mind Wheadon is the guy shot an entire feature length version of Much Ado About Nothing in his house in a week when he should have been prepping Avengers.

You'd have to ask Downey. He was just making up shit on the set. Then they decided to go crazy with it later.
Apparently you can SEE the Shawarma Palace in the fight. (It's in the background when Iron Man gets spit out after the 'Jonah' maneuver.) So, he really did see a place a few blocks away... It's just that he saw it for the first time only a few minutes earlier.)

I only stopped playing because my battery died. I was on wifi downloading the LBP beta and demos to Resistance Burning skies and Gravity Rush, which Was over 3GB. And, yes, everyone here needs to buy a PS Vita and Gravity Rush when it comes out. Such a beautiful and fun game.

Never read John Green. Looked up his bibliography and got no reaction at all. Looked up a synopsis for The Fault in Our Stars and want 'dear god, no, I don't want to ever read something like this.'
I read less now since I started writing. Grow my own, is probably the best way to put it.
Of course I'm not writing as much as I should be. I'm supposed to be doing a synopsis a week. I've been stuck on episode 3 for like two months, with no end in sight.
I don't get a tenth of the stuff done I want to do some days. (weeks, months, years...) I can't worry about that anymore. When I'm behind, all I can do is ask what matters, what really matters, and grind forward, even if it's at a dead crawl. It's not always the speed. Sometimes it's just about the movement.

You shouldn't be living for other people's expectations. Sometimes we do even when we say we aren't. When it sucks, when you look around and see that a week went by and you don't even know how, fuck the schedule and the deadlines. Do something, even if it's small, even if it's stupid.

You'll find a pace eventually. It will be your pace, and that is the only one that matters.

I had a really bad time when I watched it, for circumstances unrelated to the film, so I might be remembering things as worst than they were. But I remember almost every character in the movie being pretty awful, with her character being the worst. The cemetery bit really made me lol though, because I'm weird.

Devil's Rejects is great, but I think I like House a bit more. Something about it.

It really set a new standard. So many quirky scenes in between changes.
Gritty, grainy, and stark raving mad.

Very experimental with the story, great development for the story.
The whole introduction of everyone and the establishment of the family.

DR doesn't have much else to develop. Very standard in cinematography compared to the first one. No wild scene changes, no extreme zooming and MTV-ish camera effects.

1. The scene where Christine's nose squirts blood is extended, adding a shot of blood pouring out of her mouth. She covers her mouth, causing the fountain of blood to erupt from her nose.
2. The shot of Christine raising the knife above her cat is extended, showing Christine plunging the knife down several times, with some squirting blood.
3. We also see the cat's bloodied body fall into the hole in Christine and Clay's yard, just before Christine begins to shovel dirt upon it.
4. When Christine drops the anvil on Mrs. Ganush, Christine still gets splattered with Mrs. Ganush's eyeballs and brain matter, but now it's blood red colored.

They're delaying the movie. to resurrect a character that was NOT correctly portrayed in any way, and to put the spotlight on him.

Instead of Dwayne, who's a lot more credible as "Roadblock" than Tatum ever was as "Duke". Feck, the whole movie premise was that phrase by Rock "We're all that's left" while looking at lady jaye, Flint, and thinking of Snake Eyes and Colton (and maybe a few other retired joes). I don't care if the test panel was made of idiot teens who can't relate to a big guy like the rock, or of ladies who want a good looking WHITE guy as the hero. this is just wrong on too many levels.

If that's really the reason and not that the movie was fucked up in its storytelling, then fuck you, hollywood. Fuck you very much :mad:

Next thing you'll know they'll bring back Marlon Wayans. just to piss off GI joe fans a bit more. and if death isn't an issue anymore, bring back the whole damn cast of the first movie !! :mad:

Yeah, I'm furious, because GI joe was the main thing in my life for all of my childhood. I had the toys, I still have them, even saw the whole cartoon, and the cartoon movie.

I even had the videogames and some beach ware GI joe branded.

The world is full of stupid people. I like to think they all sprung out from hollywoodland.

Indeed. and the context was different. Gi Joe was a kids cartoon. No way they could really "Kill" the hero. that was not "correct" in cartoon back then (hence, IMO, the superiority of Japanese anime who never back off from killing a character.), and the kid would have really been disoriented (again, they took kids for idiots. but that's another problem). In the gi joe comics, though, characters fell like flies facing a big can of baygon. Here we've got a relatively "adult" movie.

I'm pretty sure some of the actors, like Johnson or Willis must be pissed. because the return of Tatums character will reduce their screen time. And both love to be the stars.

Funny thing is that when the movie will be released, Johnson will probably be too fuckin' busy training and repeating for Wrestlemania 29 that he won't do much as far as promotion goes.

They killed Optimus Prime. Such a great move.

I believe the first cut of the animated GI Joe movie done back in the eighties had a similar premise, including killing off Duke. (And adding a wrestler, Sgt. Slaughter.) By the time it finally aired, (instead of going to theaters as intended,) they changed their mind and added a line saying Duke was in the hospital. Of course, he was never seen again in the film...
None of which matters. I stand by my understanding of events. The film is a mess. They are trying to dance as fast as they can. Putting Duke back in may not be so much for Channing Tatum's standing, (although to be cold hearted, he's had some strong films lately,) as first, people found his death bizarre and unfair, (the Mrs. saw the first movie and shrugged. She heard he gets killed early in the second and went wtf.) The bigger reason though, is that the studio needs a cover story. They didn't pull the film to do 3D conversion. They did it because the film is a mess, and they will need to reshoot. By saying they want more Tatum, they have an excuse for rolling cameras, something they shouldn't be doing if all they need to do is convert to 3D.
Studios lie like a rug. They know questions will be raised, so they need an excuse to cover their ass. More Tatum is that excuse.

As for Khan not being in the next Trek movie, I stand by my sources. Simon Pegg is a fine actor, but he is a Trek toadie of the first order, and is saying whatever Abrams wants him to say. (He's also gone on in the past about how amazingly brilliant the script for the first, and later second movie were.)

That still leaves me dubious, at best. I wonder, if one day this original cut sees the light of day, if it'll be as bad as the executives think. Most of the time (not always, but most) reshooting a movie ends up with something fiercely worse. To be honest, Tatum isn't the problem. he can play a tough as nail soldier, as he proved it in "eagle of rome". he's a good actor, but I still think of him in Duke's part as a miscast. but that's the old time GI joe fan speaking. Im pretty sure execs, who can be incredibly stupid, thought the movie was too hard to understand, while it isn't. it depends of the test panel. and they are not always the best way to see if a movie is good. I remember when it was said the test panel had shown "very positive response" toward...Dungeons and Dragons. yes. The one I inflicted on Cuckoo. Today it barely has a 10% score on RT. and a big fat 0 on the Nutblog.

oh well. As long as they keep Robert Remus (Sgt Slaughter) cameo and still give a relatively big role to Roadblock and Firefly (best. GIjoe. Villain. Ever.), I'll be somewhat satisfied.

I remember almost every character in the movie being pretty awful, with her character being the worst.

They were pretty awful characters but each and every one of them all got what was coming to them.

...particularly Ben Foster. :laugh:

Zombie's a filmmaker that is in desperate need of a co-writer/director.

He's got a wild imagination but has a problem fleshing it out or giving it any real life. With a little help, he could come up with some brilliant b-movies.

If not for Sid Haig's perfectly over-the-top performance, I don't think Captain Spaulding would have been quite as good as it was had it been anyone else.

He's got Clint Howard in his next film though.

I used to do it years ago. It was fun, trying to be random but keeping it balanced at the same time. It helps hide the artificiality of the base, and sometimes made quite a difference. Docrate probably did the same thing.
