Godai/Yuusuke is a pretty neat guy! It's a little strange for me to watch him in Kuuga because Odagiri Joe is so different now. Well, maybe he was always that way, but the character is so different from how he looks now/roles he takes now. So neat he got his start on a Kamen Rider series though. ^^

It feels more basic and simple. Less bombastic and over the top. But....there's nothing wrong with that :)

Avatar score was all right.......it has some wonderful action cues and ethnic playing, but once it lifts it's feet up and doesn't keep them up...............a lot of filler for me......i can't even begin to think what the 5-disc edition is filled with. :-\

The Hurt Locker was probably one of the more controversial scores to get an Oscar nod, nevermind just being a score. Critics and score lovers hated it...............i thought it was all right at first, but listening to it today completely changed my mind about it........it set out to do exactly what the movie does.......make you edgy, depressed and insane.....i bumped it up 2 more stars since then.

I watched my Roger "In the Flesh" dvd earlier today.

I have no idea who Conan is and the picture won't load for me. :( The audio is there but only a blank rectangle.

I did hear "If you don't eat your meat..." That was cool.

I'm like one of the only Floyd fans on this planet (and possibly other planets too) that would consider "The Final Cut" one of their Top 5 favorite Floyd albums.

I guess, really, it's more a Waters solo album rather than a Floyd album though.

The dvd is really good. I'd recommend it. He gets to use the voice of HAL in a song from Amused to Death that Kubrick refused him. It's a great moment. The 3 women he has on backing vocals have the voice of angels.

The Final Cut is a fantastic album. I view it as an extension of the Wall. The reissue actually had that song from the Wall movie where young Pink finds his father's uniform and stands in front of the mirror (When the Tigers Broke Free) I don't have the reissue. :(

"When The Tigers Broke Free" is an excellent song.......you can hear the Michael Kamen orchestrations stick with him when he went on to score "Band Of Brothers" some decades later.

I was so stoked when they re-issued it with that song.

It's also on "Echoes" but it doesn't make use of the haunting wind ambience for as long as "The Final Cut" version does.

I've been waiting and waiting for The Wall to come to Bluray but still no joy. It got a great 2 disc DVD with cut scenes. A great scene with Pink and his estranged wife sitting on opposite ends of a bench. The second disc is a treasure trove of info.

I haven't watched "The Wall" in years.

It always disappointed me that they left "Hey You" on the cutting room floor. That and "Mother" are my favortie songs off that album.

we have it (2 CD/DVD) in Canada for about �17.........$27 here.

It's a bloody import apparently.....still, that's a decent price for 2 cds and 1 dvd.

The CD's have the same track list but hey aren't from the same session as far as I know. There is a track on the end that isn't on any of the studio albums that I'm aware of. I usually just put the dvd on and only use the Cd's for when I'm lying down to sleep.

I got my copy in an HMV sale for �7. I felt like a thief as I walked out with a grin that hurt my ears.

I'll look into it........probably won't be buying it anytime soon.

I've finished my spending for the year a week ago......every last penny i'm making from now until New Years is going to X-mas presents, food and rent. :(

One of those things that you say; "It's a lot but worth it. But seeing as how it's not going anyplace and well take a big chunk out of the funds I'll wait for some distant opportunity to buy it." And you keep telling yourself that have not made any leeway on getting it. I've done that plenty of times.

I've made a few large purchases in this past year that I probably should have given more thought about........but in the end I haven't been disappointed and found them to be worth it.

I think I'm finally starting to make enough money to treat myself like that more often and not have to worry about as many financial consequences as I did when I was younger.

I often wonder if my small selfishness like getting a higher quality book instead of the cheap printing or a handful of lego guys would be better spent saved up until I have a steady job and schooling.

That's probably one of the things I don't like about Disney fantasy movies is all the modern references in them, really takes you out of the setting. Tangled didn't have all that many but they mentioned Beethoven and have a map of the modern world when the highest tech was a light crossbow.

I liked the sword in the Stone. That Merlin is a great eccentric wizard as I remember, I just watched the black Cauldron from the library last month and the DVD was recent but I can't say about Canada, did they do that disney vault thing too? While not the greatest movie ever Black Cauldron does have it's charms like the voice cast actually being english and some of the 2ndary cast are fun. BUt it is based off a book so some things feel like there should be more or are just not explained. I'd say don't go out of your way to see it but if it becomes avalable to you try it.

I (almost) remember the first time I heard that. I was not, shall we say, in the same mushroomy mindset as the average person. :erm: The guy that put it on was a friend of a weird friend and the cover made my mind melt, and the song titles were even better. I haven't heard it in many years.

I didn't know of this album until STS was born.....near the beginning of STS, I was GIS-ing "weird trout" or something and this popped up.

I had to listen.....instantaneous love for it.

The snow here yesterday was about 3 inches. I went to the shop and there is a bench for the old guys to sit and watch the young girls on just outside the local bar. I didn't have my music drive plugged in so I had no music and the silence was really loud. Sometimes the fan in mine would get loud if I was doing too much multi-tasking. I cleaned lots of dust off it so maybe that was part of the problem.

Totally a fan of the books but not so much the films. I can't fault them technically, they are a momentous achievement, especially the work done by the weta workshop, it was amazing. But the films were dull. The first one was good, the introductions and the balrog and Gandalf falling were all exciting. The second book doesn't work on it's own, it's merely a bridge and the film stank because of it. I hate CGI battles. Really hate them.
