I bought some quality charcoal pencils a few days ago. A box of 12. I use a craft knife to sharpen them and it's a feckin art in itself to not chop the end off.

i quickly penciled a dead bird with stitches......might just redo in a larger size it using the same design then take a pic.

Good that gives me time to think about it. I mean it'd be a small envelope but who knows how much that could be across the water and all. Plus that means I could put more time and effort into it.

Today and for the next 3 days I'm changing around some shelving and will be very busy. Shoulda started 2 hours ago honestly but I've been feeling tired and congested for a month now.

I haven't decided how I'm going to color mine yet.

Originally I was just going to do pencil crayons and India ink, but Tigertail pointed out to me how pencil crayons show up when you scan them. They texture is actually quite distracting from the actual picture. Then I thought I might use a smudger to blur the stroke lines.

Watercolors seem to look quite nice when you scan them so I might try that.

They have to be 3.5 x 2.5 inches. It looks really small when you cut it out.

A simple envelope wouldn't cost that much to send, I don't think. I've never did it. You could even draw it on a blank postcard.

India ink scans fantastic. Water colours are cool but I find them really hard to use. You need the right grade of paper though (I'm sure you do :-P).

I suspect he's going to be the main character. Cruise doesn't usually do movies unless he's the leading man....with Magnolia as an exception....that's an ensemble though.

On the brighter side, Del Toro's said he's had a lot of trouble getting this project backed up because he refuses to alter the story, by adding in love interests or a happy ending. :)

i had three weird dreams last night. probably caused by reading those stories, though they weren't nearly as freaky!

dream 1: i was in a giant warehouse type thing just shopping around with some people from work, and these crane operators were two of my managers from work.

dream 2: i was flying on an airplane with some people and i guess we were mystery solving people because we uncovered a conspiracy that involved a castle and hiding an airplane and destroying a decoy plane, etc. then our airplane began to fall (i think the people involved in the conspiracy shot us down) and we were freaking out, trying to figure out how to land safetly. then our pilot was sucked out of the door (apparently it popped open) and then some random girl appeared and we all knew she was the pilot's assistant , and she took over. i then saw this park that was in front of city hall and it had a giant straight sidewalk, kind of like a runway (how convenient!) and we opened the cargo bay of the plane to lose some of the weight by dumping all the cargo, which was just tons and tons of wedding invitations of my two fellow mystery solvers. we landed safetly and got out and there was a huge crows waiting for us and they cheered us when we got out of the plane, and said they come to the wedding. it turns out that we were power rangers and everyone knew.

dream 3: i was back in high school and we were graduating, and all of my fellow students were my coworkers. i looked over at my teacher and it was jane lynch! she let us know we were graduating and to gather all our stuff and i looked under the seats to get my stuff and there were 3 seats filled with my things: papers, folders, and photo albums, lol.

i think dream 2 was my favorite.

Glad people enjoyed the creepypasta stuff! The one about the guy losing his senses was my favorite. It reminded me a tiny bit of Martyrs (which would be a terrific movie club movie), and it was just the sort of story that really gets in your head. I've been thinking about it a lot since I read it.

I didn't really get creeped out last night until close to when I went to bed. I was lying on my couch and had my eyes closed, but I hadn't gotten up to turn my lamp off yet. You know how you can sense how light it is around you, even with your eyes shut? Well, all of a sudden, I felt everything get darker, and I freaked out, jerked my eyes open, and saw everything was normal. After that, it was not easy getting to sleep!

I have some more stuff saved from last night if people would like to see it.

God help me. I want to shoot someone in the face. That was just AWFUL. I hope Decade doesn't feel as gimmicky as that fight did. Luka is annoying as hell. So jarring to go from an awesome yellow to.......THAT. Marvelous is the only one that comes close to being tolerable. Even he pretty much ruined it with everything after not getting to eat.

I'd forgotten how much of a pain in the ass Sentai monster names are. So random and in Japanese. No way of memorizing them.

Decade can definitely be gimmicky at times, but that Gokaiger fight is particularly over the top. The next three episodes are toned down from that quite a bit, but there's definitely a level of "hey, let's show off this now" that's been consistent throughout the show.

Marvelous is the only character who has any real characterization at this point, which is fine, since it just started. He reminds me of Tsukasa a lot. I actually think that's what gives me a Decade vibe more than anything else on the show. Most of my Luka love right now comes from her awesome suit actor. Same person as Dayuu! And, it's a male, which I think is really interesting.

I can't even remember most of the proper villain names right now. Wonder if there's been a sentai series where they developed the monsters of the week in the same way they often do with Kamen Rider. At the very least, I thought Shinkenger did a great job developing most of there main villain cast, and I hope Gokaiger does a good job with that too, even if it's not going to be as characterization heavy as Shinkenger was.

W and Blade have completely spoiled me on knowing every monster by heart.

There is no way it will ever be that easy again.

Also, last I checked Super Sentai wasn't Godai :mad::mad::mad:

Kiva is pretty easy to remember monsters for, if you wind up getting into it.

Kabuto is almost as bad as sentai with their non-story monsters, since so many of them look identical in their non-human forms.

I think I know all the Orphenochs, but so many of them are important to the plot, I don't feel like it's structured the same way.

I don't think I can name any non-contract monsters for Ryuki.

No other series is standing out to me either way. ; ;
