My bro, my best bud and I would take turns on this all the time on the NES.
Drove me crazy.

Okay, kids......it's 10 SONGS time. :)
TTT VOL. VI
BAT OUT OF HELL / Meat Loaf
I’ll be honest and say this is the first I’ve heard from Meat Loaf besides that “I would do anything” song.
It’s better than I expected. It reminds of old Springsteen. I like it quite a bit actually.
You may have just turned me on to the Meat Loaf.
DREAM ISLAND OBSESSIONAL PARK / Susumu Hirasawa
I really, really, really like this. It reminds me of an electronic Lion King song for some reason. I could listen to some more. I’m definitely looking for more of this.
FUCK SHIT STACK / Reggie Watts
This is hilarious. …and an impressive backing track to boot.
I’m not sure, but did he just rip ‘rap pop’ music a new asshole with this song?
THE TRANSFORMERS (THEME) / Lion
It’s good cheesy nostalgic fun. What else can I say?
FUN FACT TIME: There’s a hidden track on the “Boogie Nights” OST of Mark Wahlberg performing the Stan Bush song “The Touch”.
AISLING’S SONG / Bruno Coulais, Tomm Moor & Christen Mooney
I love this OST and the film. Bruno Coulais is one of the best at writing whimsical innocence.
LONG WALK / Jill Scott
This is cool. I like her voice. Very sultry. I heard her on The Roots’ Homegrown album.
PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE / Queen
I like Queen quite a bit but I never got into this song too much.
Damn you, Sean Connery.
EYES LIKE YOURS (OJOS ASI) / Shakira
I really like this song too. Nice album too. I thank you again. :)
MENCHI - A BOLERO OF REGRET / Shininchi Watanabe
Holy crap…no…no …no..…I’m sorry. The music itself was actually quite pleasant.
But…..that voice or dog or thing…or whatever it was. It begged me to drop a brick on it’s head.
I PUT A SPELL ON YOU / Tim Curry
So many covers of this song….and it’s always good. Well, from what I’ve heard.
Getting close to the 10 Volume mark soon too, huh?
Feels kinda good.
All of your submissions have been strong and I suspect they will be till the end. So far out of all your mixes, only one song made my face melt (the weird one on this mix). Pretty good considering Doc made mine melt before you. :P
------
Now onto The Doc.
SONGS FROM THE WARD - Volume VII
1977-12-25T07:22:32+01:00 – BELLS / Chronoland
WTF. This gave me some serious first thing in the morning wiggins.
It was like a mixture of Goldsmith’s ALIEN and Wayne Bell & Tobe Hooper’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre. ……I LOVE IT.
INTO THE MENSTRUAL NIGHT I GO / Current 93
I don’t know if you meant to do it or not but this track mixed seamlessly with the last one. I didn’t even realize the last was finished. Until I saw it was on the 2nd track.
Cool. Nice and creepy too.
HAN SOM REISTE / Burzum
This sounds like something a guy who murders his guitarist would compose.
I like it a lot. Reminds me of ‘70’s/early 80’s horror movies.
I KNOW / David Lynch
These songs are a mystery to me. I really have to be in the mood for them. I wasn’t fond of this the first time around. Then the second time I liked it quite a bit. Then back again….back and forth…back and forth. I suspect when one is sleep deprived this song is most effective. …and that’s not a bad thing.
LUX ET TENEBRAE / Aphrodisiac
I really liked this. Can’t find much on it though. :(
GHOST OF THE SUN / Katatonia
This was all right. Listenable. Didn't quite grab me like a lot of the other tracks do though.
DEPTH CHARGE ETHEL / Grinderman
The Grinderman’s been cut from 2 of my mixes so far. :(
THREE STEPS FOR THE CHAMELEON / Beyond Dawn
I keep expecting to hear Beavis to sing along too.
Once you hear it you can’t unhear it.
I like the music though.
A SADNESS SONG / Dorien Campbell
I know this song. This a good album? Or hit and miss?
CHIGGERS / Seasick Steve
Seasick Steve kicks ass. End of story.
Nice job, as always…..but you knew that all ready.
It was one of those mixes where you’re surprised when it’s done so soon.
I woke up this morning and it occured to me. That's Bunny Munro you've used. OR at least the same mask on the book cover.

Lye…can I see you in my office?
LYE - 10 SONGS VOL. II
HARNESS YOUR HOPES / Pavement
I’m really digging the Pavement songs. It makes me feel young again….but not too young. :D
EAGLE ROCK / Daddy Cool
I have no idea who these guys are  I like it a lot though. Good ol’ rock.
MAIN TITLE (MAGNUM FORCE) / Lalo Schifrin
I need more of this guy in my collection. I really do.
It’s explosive 70’s funk with a hint of an intimidating chorus and keys. Very cool.
ICE CREAM CITY (LIVE) / Shonen Knife
Geez. I haven’t heard them since Nirvana’s heydays. Nice.
THE DREAM (TOTAL RECALL) / Jerry Goldsmith
What a great score. One of the last of it’s kind too. :(
I love the rhythmic charge of the percussion.
KILLED BY DEATH / Motorhead
It appears another Shit-shooter’s mix influenced yours. J That’s wonderful to see. I was hoping there’d be more of this when I started the project.
THE PERSUADERS / John Barry
I can’t say I’m at all familiar with this but I quite like it. It’s very different. I want more of this.
PIANO CONCERTO No. 5 2nd MOVEMENT / Beethoven
Two Beethoven pieces in one week from two separate Shit-shooters. I love it.
Thank you for this.
CUT YOUR HAIR / Pavement
This was all right. Not one of my favorites, but it was inoffensive so I’ll let you live this time. :p
CARPET CRAWLERS / Genesis
Such a wonderful album. Gabriel left on a very high note. A might bit disappointing that was his last album with them.…besides…”Cuckoo Coccon”. :D
What a relaxing way to finish off.
Another solid submission. So far you’ve got some great stuff. It’s nice to relax and not have my senses attacked. It’s so very welcome.
You picked some great stuff. And I wonder what didn’t make the cut out of the army of songs you started out with. We’ll never know. :itsamystery:

Let’s see what CM has in store for us this week:
CM's [10 SONGS] VOL. 2
BEETLEJUICE (MAIN TITLES) / Danny Elfman
You win. End of story.
This humorously, sinister little piece is the whole reason I got obsessed with film scores almost 25 years ago. Did I mention “you win”?
THIS TIME IS NOW / Michael Kohler
What is this? Superfriends? I loved that show as a kid. I smile.
GET ON THE BALL / Billy Mays & Adrian Poupa
You Shrine guys are weird.
I’M GOING TO BRING A WATERMELON TO MY GIRL TONIGHT / The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band
I am all over this. It’s crazy, cartoony jazz.
THE DUCK SONG 2 / Bryant Oden
:rofldata: :rofldata: :rofldata:
The duck is back. Waddle-waddle.
DO YOU DREAM ABOUT ME / Alisha
:D Break out the hairspray, big jackets and sunglasses. I think I’m Andrew McCarthy.
DANCE MAGIC DANCE / David Bowie
More Bowie songs from “The Lump”. :-\
I just never got into the Labyrinth thing. I’m so very alone on this one though.
POISON / Alice Cooper
I always associate this Cooper era with the movie “SHOCKER” and Desmond Child.
…and that’s cool. :D
THE MOVIE / Aerosmith
This is from Permanent Vacation, right? I like this. I’m not big on Steven Tyler’s voice so this is good. :)
EYE / Smashing Pumpkins
Not a lot people liked the electronic Pumpkins. I did a lot. This is one of their career highlights in my humble opinion.
I liked this one. Not as nutty as your first submission, but just as good.
Nostalgic as hell. I love that.
-------------
And Lord Budarc…..
BUDARC'S 10 SONGS OF GOATSE
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY / Queen
A perfect song and an emotional roller coaster.
I’m glad people have finally wiped Wayne’s World face off of this song. It almost ruined it for me.
If it weren’t for it’s perfection it probably would have.
MOVING ON / Michael Giacchino
“LOST” has been threatening to make it to my mixes for the past 8 weeks….but in the end it gets cut. Something from LOST is almost always on there. I can’t stop listening to those soundtracks.
An interesting choice for the 2nd song. It sort of sets up the rest of the mix for depression…but somehow I think you knew that judging by the “genre”. Ballsy to pick a longer song for the second track too. It works though. It works really well.
I miss this show SO DAMNED much.
HOW IT ENDS / DeVotchKa
I love this song too. So bittersweet. I can never tire of this whimsical sound they conjure. Little Miss Sunshine & Everything Is Illuminated. :)
LIFE IS A PIGSTY / Morrissey
I am guilty of not really being familiar with Morrissey or The Smiths.
I revoke my fapping privileges for the week.
I like what I hear. Care to make a mix or recommend a good place to start?
I FEEL DEPRESSED / Barnes & Barnes
I thought these guys were funny. This isn’t very funny.
Oh well. They can’t all be zingers.
INSANITY / Boingo
First repeat song of the near 300 songs so far submitted. I put it on one of mine too. J
‘Cept you have trippy single version which seems to be about 4 seconds longer than the album version.
REQUIEM IN D MINOR / Mozart
I’m always game for a little Wolfgang. My mother raised me on him and Tchaikovsky.
"Grant them rest".
SYMPHONY No. 7, ALLEGRETTO / Beethoven
Lye included some Ludwig on his mix this week too.
Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
PRUIT IGOE / PROPHECIES / Philip Glass
A beautiful piece. I haven’t listened to this in a long, long, long time. Glass does something to me that no other composer does and I can’t quite pinpoint what it is.
ON THE NATURE OF DAYLIGHT / Max Richter
Nice touch ending on this song. Very wrist slitty.
I don’t recall if I’ve all ready put this one on a mix or not. If not I intended to.
Excellent first submission.
Dreary. Moody. Depressing…….but never boring.
Well ordered too. Please keep making more. :)

Great job, guys. I love these strange varieties that keep on coming in.
