Alright, so I dl'd the demo for InFamous 2.

Based on what's presented there, I feel like I was right to give up on ever wanting/getting it so long ago. Also not bothering to replay 1 as a Sith lord. Supposed to be a new city....buildings seem to be the same shapes. The camera is tighter in, and it's prettier.

If you aren't completely burned out on it like I am, and want more of the same, have at it, I guess. I REALLY burndt myself out on it. Don't hunt blast shards Doc, if you think you'd be up for another go 'round. I did every side mission and spent ages looking for those shards. Felt my head starting to ache almost immediately.

Reading reviews it seems like it starts in the same place, and then it moves to its New Orleans. Maybe the end of the demo has that happening, I dunno.

But, why would you start your demo that way (if it is the beginning of the game in the same city from the original)? This isn't the most story-intensive series and showing the new city would have been a much better idea....

I don't honestly know which it is, and I don't care. I can't take more of the same, in this case. I can in other series, but not this one. I'll take the blame for playing the original way too much. Just sharing my opinion.

The demo of the first game wasn't the beginning of the game. Generic bald guy had almost all his powers and it was the stop the trains mission and the defend the drop at the power station mission. The demo of the second might be similarly different.
I liked the first game. It entertained me enough, and it was free.

Yeah, demo for 2 had him with most of his powers from 1, which didn't help the whole feeling exactly the same problem.

If that was the beginning of 2, then that's a horrible way to demo a game, even if they do let you do something new near the end of it.
If that was media res, then the city felt too similar (I've read that there are swamps and water hazards in the city, so it probably isn't, or I didn't explore enough).

I could redownload it and actually finish it, but I choose not to. As I said, it's just my opinion and I'm more concerned with something concrete I CAN speak on (that you shouldn't burn yourself out on the first), than telling people not to try it. Just me running my mouth.

I like open world cites but they have to be designed well. GTA V.C did it well. GTA IV did not. Infamous did it okay. [Protocol] didn't do so good. I posted it on Monday. Snail mail. It'll take weeks probably.

I will wait for Infamous 2 to be bargain bucketed, after Xmas probably and pick it up. I have infinite patience (except with rapidsnare).

I don't remember what I said back when I was playing, but after seeing all of it for so long, the city seems pretty ho-hum and lackluster. I don't *think* it was super detailed or great to begin with, though.

Mainly I want to get the Fly ability in Prototype. Though, people always talked about it in comparison to InFamous, so I might have a hissyfit with it, too~

Every game should have jet-packs. And the ability to morph into forever alone guy to chase the ladies up the street.

I'd buy that for a dollar.

Pure Lynch. No doubt about it. The way he completely absorbs you into it with intensity then pushes you away at the climax. It's crazy.

The more downloads your mixes get, the more interest it will generate and hopefully that will inspire more people to make one.

I don't think so. I think it works just like pimp and host were the file itself says in the same place but gets a folder set "around it". I've got a few things on Mediafire and have moved stuff into folders and no one has complained. Of curse no one hardly ever looks at my stuff so...:foreveralone:

Cracked my wisdom tooth last night. Went to the ER, they told me it was cracked and it needed to come out. Sent me off with painkillers and stuff to prevent infection, so I figured it was pretty okay. Called my dentist in the morning, find out they don't actually do oral surgery, find out the nearest dentist that does that takes my insurance is over and hour away and they can't see me until the 17th of July. ; ; Going to try and get both wisdom teeth out at least so I don't have to worry about this again. 2011, you are the worst year ever and I am totally gonna get you for all this~ also Robbu I almost texted you last night from the ER cause I was bored but I didn't want to say I was texting from the ER and make you worry when it was no big deal.

My laptop is with someone who will hopefully fix it finally so I don't just complain about how life is pretty butts here and I actually share things that are awesome. Right now I'm resisting the urge to bombard them with texts asking about progress because they're being pretty cool in doing this for me and I don't want to be obnoxious in return! In the meantime if anyone wants to know things about comics I am always pretty good for that, I guess~

also I'm thinking about writing a short comedy film about a hardboiled detective. Lots of goofy grimdark but not really stuff. Imagining he was a kid detective and now he wants to solve crimes ~more maturely~ but he's kind of a doofus. Mostly I just like writing hardboiled style dialog.

It's cosmetic surgery. :sad: They don't pay for that.

My tax return is going towards it.

I walked into a fridge. I am totally serious. XD My fridge died and my building was replacing it and I wasn't being aware of my surroundings and walked into the old one that was sitting there. Strangely my face isn't bruised at all, I think I grinded my teeth together when it happened or something.

I'm pretty sure I can get a ride, and if not, I'll pay for a taxi (they aren't too expensive here for once in a while use). No way I would drive on meds. I'm going to try and see if I can somehow get this to qualify as a dental emergency so that I can get it bumped up, though. I think I'm going to run out of painkillers before the appointment so waiting just really isn't doable without another trip back to the ER. I mean, if I have to, I will, but I'm going to at least try pushing for an earlier appointment.

My insurance covers regular check-ups and cleaning twice a year, extractions, some oral surgery, and x-rays. They don't cover fillings which I think is really weird, but at least that's something that I could probably swing paying out of pocket.

I hope you lost your tooth in a reasonably awesome way so that at least you get a good story out of it while you're waiting to replace it!

This made me think of old B/W cartoons, you know the ones with the Jazz band and the trumpets that get longer the harder they are tooted? It was fun but not something I would ordinarilly put on.

Parts of it I liked, not the clean vocals on first listen but I got used to them on subsequent listens. It grew on me, sexy parts of me.
