James Gunn...he first worked for Troma on Tromeo & Juliet and Terror Firmer...from those auspicious beginnings, he wrote the Scooby Doo movie and Dawn of the Dead remake. Not too big a fan of his. :-\

Season one was meh. Season two was excellent.

Season 2 and 4 are the best........

....not so sure about Season 5 so far.....it's got moments, but I think if it doesn't pick up, they should tie up at 6, or 5 (if they pick up on the storyline super quick SOON).

I thought it was still on season 4. I have some catching to do.

Usually if a show doesn't grab me from the very first episode, I won't waste my time. I didn't think the idea of a serial killer as a protagonist was that original either.

1st Saw was great. The others anger me, ya see at first all this had a demented perpose about living life but as it goes on the abductions aren't so much about forcing people to fix their problems as it is about just killing and that coupled with the fact that many of those traps have ways out that require no self realization kills the premise for me.

The complexity of the movies is that they're completely brainless and yet I can't for the life of me figure out the plot, the chronology of events or the significance of any of the characters. It is literally just a platform for gory traps from which the victims almost never escape. And that's good enough for me.

The 3rd season of only 20 or so episodes lacked the animation and writing of the rest of the series and is considered non-cannon now that Greg Wiseman has started up the story agian in comic books. Sadly Disney has kinda killed that as well.

Yes that seems to be networks MO in cartoons, make pilot and maybe a handful of regular episodes and if it does well pump out as many as you can every week day. That's probably why the first 10 or so episodes of TMNT are somewhat in 1 long story arc while the rest of the show is sand alone with kinda poor production. that and the Art Director for those first episodes was Peter Chung.
