Mad Men is the sort of show where you don't always realize how good it is until later on, when all the threads start to come together? Though there are great stand alone episodes. Maybe not as much in season one. I always tell people to watch the Carousel clip and see if they like that.
The video is awesome on its own though. Or at least I think so but I love girls singing in French by default so ; ;

I would like to see everyone's attempts at an expanded soundtrack and story. I don't mean writing whole paragraphs, I mean more scenes, more music, no particular order, no particular subject. Just use as much music as you need and as many scenes as you need. Want to tell a war story? Want to tell a story about love? Want to write a Story about gay sex? Hell why not do a story with all of those elements at the same time!
Consider this a side project to the Ten Songs (a bastard child if you will). If you don't want to do it, that's alright. I just wanted to put it out there before I forget again :laugh:.

Plus the project gives me the perfect excuse to use Audacity to add the Fox Fanfare or some sort of company thing (I also have the Ladd Company Titles, Orion Pictures Rambo Variation, 1992 Fox Fanfare Goldenthal, THX Metal Gear Solid 4 variation).

Dave or Martin..........
Martin is a brilliant lyricist. He's not the young punk boy he used to be and he doesn't visually appeal to me anymore. His voice isn't as good as it used to be either. I'm not to sure if he's not trying anymore or what. He probably can't hit the high notes anymore like used to... but it seems to me when he sings nowadays.... it just doesn't really sound like he's putting his soul into it...
Dave on the hand, I think, has gotten more visually appealing over the years. And I think his voice has gotten better and better. I like watching him during live performances, the way he dances around. I find his gyrating particularly hilarious :laugh: He can bring the emotion and the look to make fangirls freeze.
I don't think I can choose between them. I think they have to be together to make the awesomeness happen.

The way mine is set up, it's perfect to me as is, so no expanding for that one............ Either I would come up with a whole new scenario or try to come up with a soundtrack for the story I've been writing for years....... even though I don't really have too much to work on for it :sad:

I got a pang of paranoia when I was watching the new Last Exile. Back in 09 I was really bored and decided to write for my own entertainment.
It was not the creation of a sane man.
I integrated the plots of Last Exile and Republic Commando. It was a bloody mess to say the least. One element was very similar to the current series, I made a nation in the North (not on Earth) that spoke Russian and had advanced tech to aid their defense. Bing Bang Boom, same thing happens a few years later coincidentally.

I also worked on a Disney version of Phoenix and the Carpet and wrote a song called "But I Really Am a Modest Bird", but they never ripped that one off. Screw you, Disney. It would've been awesome.

About 10 years ago a buddy and I came up with a great comic idea over some pints one night. He did most of the writing and I designed the characters and everything.
We never did anything with it after a few weeks......too much drinking will do that. :rolleyes:
Last year we saw an ad for the TV series Wilfred and screamed.
It was exactly the idea we had except it was dog when we had a cat.

About 10 years ago a buddy and I came up with a great comic idea over some pints one night. He did most of the writing and I designed the characters and everything.
We never did anything with it after a few weeks......too much drinking will do that. :rolleyes:
Last year we saw an ad for the TV series Wilfred and screamed.
It was exactly the idea we had except it was dog when we had a cat.

Martin is a brilliant lyricist. He's not the young punk boy he used to be and he doesn't visually appeal to me anymore. His voice isn't as good as it used to be either. I'm not to sure if he's not trying anymore or what. He probably can't hit the high notes anymore like used to... but it seems to me when he sings nowadays.... it just doesn't really sound like he's putting his soul into it...
Dave on the hand, I think, has gotten more visually appealing over the years. And I think his voice has gotten better and better. I like watching him during live performances, the way he dances around. I find his gyrating particularly hilarious :laugh: He can bring the emotion and the look to make fangirls freeze.
I don't think I can choose between them. I think they have to be together to make the awesomeness happen.

To me it looks like they tried to "refine" the look. Lupin looked a bit evil, Jigen looked a bit pointy, Goemon.... well he looked fine...... It's just the few decades gap I guess......
I don't think of it so much as refinement as it is removing the simplifications of the animation and go more towards Monkey Punch's originals.

Piggybacking on your post a bit, but man, I am dreading the next generation. I feel like the more game budgets increase, the more games have to be CoD clones and such. I'm certain downloadable games will be great, but I wouldn't be surprised if I wind up sticking to handhelds entirely a few generations down the line. :sad:
I adore D/L games from indie devs. thatgamecompnay and doublefine are the best examples. The only downside is I can't pick those up from the bargain bin unless Sony decides to lower them for a week. I usually pay less than �10 for my PS3 games because I wait untill I can get a 2nd hand one.

Pretty sure ladies wearing designer clothing under burkas actually happens, though. I used to see lades in burkas with these fancy ass expensive purses all the time. Though I don't actually think I've seen anyone in a burka since I moved from Michigan.

Once my friend and I randomly decided we were going to go to this old people tourist town a couple hours away, so we did. We played Virtual-On in the video arcade of some hotel we snuck into and walked around holding hands, just cause. Old people told us we were a cute couple. It was a really good day.

You have to be more on the offensive. Especially after 20 minutes. He can stick Light with Doom. At which point you're going to need to be switching between Aggression and Tireless Charge (MED, COM, COM).

Doom? He didn't do that. :shock: I go with SAB/SYN/COM from the offset to get the slow on him and the buffs on me, then switch to Relentless Ass. When I need healed it's MED/MED/COM because it's so much quicker than Tireless Charge, and I can get back to Relentless Ass sooner. I was waiting for him to regenerate those things at either side but he didn't.

Oh you have to see that. Sure you have Loretta Young being shot through 10 feet of muslin, but it's got this creepy small town America vibe made even weirder by the international manhunt that closes in on it. Suspense scenes that out Hitchcock Hitchcock. Orson as the OCD Nazi college professor. Edward G. Robinson as the G-Man on his tail, doing Columbo before Columbo. And I'm not even going to talk about the coolest bits since I don't want to spoil the surprise.
But I rave, and I shouldn't raise unrealistic expectations.

I'll tackle him again when STS gets quiet. I'll slink off and batter him some. Maybe I just got lucky before.
I put the weapon on Light that increase the ATB with each hit, and upped it to level 9 (I think). Hope is on Lvl 5 weapon. Fang is on Lvl 1. :erm:

I didn't upgrade anything until post-game the first couple times, and on my third run I just did stuff for Hunts (sprint shoes, etc.).
Upgrading doesn't matter in the slightest, in-game.
