Not just the lost stories. There are quite a few bonus stories that never seemed to get a proper cover too - a couple seem to spring to mind are Urban Myths and Urgent Calls.

Apologies I still can't seem to load images on here, but I have produced covers for *Urban*Myths*, *Urgent*Calls* and *Museum*Piece* and more besides, see link. They are the ones I prefer to focus on. As others have said, its just for fun, I enjoy creating the images, I'm not a professional, its not my day job, but its a hobby which I enjoy!

I know season 3 is still not out yet but does anyone have the second season of G-r-a-c-e-less. I wanna see what the fuss is about and I have the first one.

Also I keep on asking and I hope that someone will have and share T-h-e- H-a-r-v-e-s-t O-f T-i-m-e a-u-d-i-o-b-o-o-k. Pwwweeeaasseee.

And also whilst asking again the new Bloke's 6+1 "Lucy-fur".

Many thanks in advance

Hi I was trawling through google trying to find this request, however it then brought up a link to this page, so just to let you know that by t-y-p-i-n-g r-e-q-e-s-t-s l-i-k-e t-h-i-s still shows up to the outside world. But i still haven't had any luck as of yet

Very likely balls, but wouldn't it be amazing to sit down in november, watch the 50th special (preferably in a crowded theatre full of fellow fans), and suddenly be hit with the narrative using footage from previously lost stories?! Then an announcement immediately afterwards. That would be SUCH a brilliant way to do it: "Surprise!!"

Ooh. And in some quantum/parallel universe, that's exactly what will happen!

Speaking of fan made audios, did anyone ever see/get the complete version of heroic productions genocide? Part of it was on that popular video hosting site, but I never saw all of it on there..

Also, anyone got the first 4 audios of the two detectives starring the actor who played the head of the military organisation the medic worked for and the guy who played the creator of the salt shaker mutants?

If the proof the "rival archivist" (As Bleeding Cool refer to him) saw which so convinced him to (a) confirm the rumours AND (b) apologise to Philip Morris was a f##king non-descript and non-specific courier receipt, then the man is a bigger idiot than I took him for. How naive can you get?

Its always been a bug bear that people like this state "I have seen the proof", but then decline to share or specify what the proof is. One twitter user has suggested Levine had believed the rumours and wanted to somehow become part of the story and blatantly lied to suggest he was privy to the material. I think that's harsh, but by a country mile my favourite tweet was simply this "I would GLADLY go without "The Daleks" if it meant we were spared Ian Levine"

Harsh, but accurate...

To be honest I'm actualy shocked it took this long for Levine to insert himself into this and make it all about him. He just wants the drama and the glory at any cost.

for all uk users that have had sites blocked by their isp's.....

download the opera browser and follow these steps....

To access KAT from UK use OPERA browser's built-in free proxy: Settings > Preferences > Webpages > Opera Turbo > ON ... works for all blocked sites, h33t and TPB too!

It can be slow to load the pages, upto 10 seconds, because you are fooling it into thinking you have dial-up (remember that!!!), however once loaded, it loads it into your download/torrent client and away you go!
Been using it since BT put the ban on a few months back. works fine!
NOTE: on occasion you will get a white page, saying "error page blocked", however I have found it you click operas refresh button once or twice it goes to the page!

Hope this helps some of you

So I simply use chrome for standard browsing and stuff like this site and switch to opera when I want to look at the so callled banned sites!

Just wondered whether anyone had bothered to pay and download any of the classic who episodes from itunes? I was a tad disappointed with the quality to be honest, not quite dvd but good on a ipad when travelling to have some who on tap. But so many eps missing, I'm thinking its not worth apple putting them up because its too limited an audience. Shame really, it would be a damn fine way to get those youngsters watching old skool as well as nu-who.

I downloaded the Two Medics - yeah, it's not quite DVD quality is it? For the price I'd expect at least DVD quality, though I'd expect they'd have to pay more to get that, and then we'd pay more! It's a nice way to watch though. Though, taking A*ndrozani, Caves of as an example - they drip-fed the episodes. You had to wait ages to be able to get the entire story. What free ep is available to download?

Wow, it's now nearly 3:30am here - I think I should get to bed zzzzzzzz

CB is indeed brilliant, as indeed is the writer, John Finnemore's, solo sketch series "JF's Souvenir Programme". But, as great as Cummerbund is, I don't want to see him as both the Medic and Sheerr-luck, that's just pushing the suspension of disbelief a bit too far for me...

And here's the latest Hamm-Mah Cheel-Lahh, written by Paul Magrs. BTW, Goldie: no need to keep requesting these, I'll put them up each week when I get them - just give me a bit of time, ok? ;)

BTW, Goldie: no need to keep requesting these, I'll put them up each week when I get them - just give me a bit of time, ok? ;)

In the dark, as ankle deep water flows past a high pitched chittering sound is heard.
it gets louder and until around the corner a torrent of rats appear, they stampede onwards fleeing for their lives.
As they disappear they are followed by a tall thin figure (played by Benny boy) dressed in a long dark overcoat over a patchwork costume. He has a silent tin-whistle at his lips.

Have had guests for the weekend.

The beer has flowed.

RPG's have been played.

After their antics last time where they ended-up magi-nuking a small town in a fit of pique, I thought I'd have them playing Jedi whose job it was to snarf the plans for the YADS. (Yet Another Death Star).

I thought it'd make them play nice and not wipe-out about 10k people in one go.

Oh ... boy ... was that a mistake.

Somehow managing to bring Harry Potter into the whole thing via a Jedi version of the Imperious charm, they ended up controlling the entire design process for YADS and ended-up sufficiently on the Dark Side to justify .. ah-hem ... obliterating Coruscant for 'the greater good'.

Which was nice!

Oh. And rather than build YADS from scratch they decided to take a leaf out of the Dalek play-book ... ableit moon rather than a planet. A settled moon. With people. "Well, think of all the slave labour!"

Do they have the movie audio loud enough for you to properly synch-up the start of the movie and keep sync if you want to have a break? I find it's one of the most frustrating things in 'commentary'-type podcasts when there's not good indicators for where you are in the viewing.

They give an audible 3, 2, 1...geronimo to sycn. They do have a break at one stage when the Medic tellls Grace about his shoes fitting, they talk and then another 3, 2 ,1...geronimo. They do give clues sometime where it's at - for example, after the Medic's shoes bit it cuts to the "You will obey me guy" going through the drawers, picking out the gold to give to Chang Lee and Ken Deep comments that the Estram is going through the Medic's underwear. The action is commentated on at times. It's a bit hard to say how I'd follow it now though.

What with the time difference I ended up staying up all night for the 4am start where I live. It went for about two and a half hours all up. Only had a few hours' sleep as I type.

Our podcast will be interviewing Daphne next Monday morning, which will be around the same time they did this. So I've another late night next week!

I don't think I could really hear the movie playing though. It does make a good alternate movie commentary now!

Good to see you again, Foe. The past week has been frenetic, (not to say schizophrenic). I've been going through family illness over the last couple weeks, and the roller coaster ride has been diversionary if nothing else. I believe what you say about this very strange ordeal. I think I just reached the point where I no longer had the energy to deal with the ups and the downs. Maybe because of real life breaking through. So I live in hope, and await results with curiosity if not enthusiasm. If great things come to pass, fantastic. If not, I don't begrudge you because I've never felt that you were anything but straightforward.

Hi all - been away for four or five days, and knew there would be LOTS of posts about the missing episodes news/rumours.

I'm not totally sure what Phil Morris is up to with regards to his recent comments. I mean, I'm sure it's all misdirection, and I'm sure that it's because he's still in the middle of negotiating a deal. I do know that he is in Hong Kong right now, tracking down two episodes of "The Wheel in Space". I have heard this directly from Caroline Skinner, who I know is absolutely, absolutely in negotiations with Morris for the missing episodes.

Both Ian Levine and Outpost Skaro have posted that they don't believe Morris' statement. (Yes, I know...quoting Ian Levine doesn't really mean much these days - but it's good for a laugh, isn't it?)

All I can say is, keep your fingers crossed. Keep an eye on Bleeding Cool in the next 24 hours. If I hear anything else, I'll let you know.

And again, to all of you who are refusing to get drawn in at this point - I don't blame you for a single second. I just want to say that, for the most part, (aside from the odd "ttroll"), the discussion on this site has been exceptional; it's been polite, intelligent, and there has been a healthy respect for opposing opinions. I can't tell you how much I appreciate and respect that. As someone who has rarely "hung out" on the net in the past, I really do feel like I've found a home in this thread - it's one of the reasons why I wanted to share this story to begin with. So thank you all for making this such a great place to come to. It's become so much more than a place to share audio files - although a love of audio is still the fundamental thing that seems to connect us all. I love being online here, and although I sometimes have to disappear for a few days here and there, I always love coming back!

Foe
Thank you Foe. It's always nice to hear from you. I too feel I've found a family here. Thank you for sharing the info. I do have a feeling that it's negotiations. Time will see won't it! I live in hope always. Again, thanks Foe!

(aside from the odd "ttroll")

I wish people would stop posting little comments like this - we all know where it will lead and it all smacks of taunting him to post a reply which will then get pounced on by pretty much everyone here (btw, I know it isn't). I suspect it's like Candyman - if we say his name too many times he'll pop up, abuse everyone who has mentioned him and then vanish. ;)

Foe

You're a good man, Foe. Stick around, no matter what happens :)

Awesome, if it's true. Even they admit that all these rumours are unverified. Scary thing tho - Moffat could actually screw things up with the acquisition of any lost episodes that do get found.

There's something that really jars in this story, though.

Apparently Moffat is not in favour with whoever has these films, and initial demands involved Moffat’s departure from the show.

REALLY???

Oh, come on, I would hope that common sense (er - yeah - I know ...) would over-ride a fit of pique to assuage your current dislike of the show-runner means nothing compared to getting these back into the public eye after so many years hard work.

I'm not a fan of Moffat, but that would just be taking it way too far. Though a part of me can't help but think about what I would ask for in that situation. A million dollars, a date with Billie Piper, to write an episode... Something like that. I could be relied on to abuse my power, you see.

Thanks Nobber! Kept looking for a greyed out S like on some other forums.

Hello to everybody posting here,

I'm writing to apologize for any confusion caused by the lack of announcements and disappointment caused by the lack of Eighth Doctor in our schedules.

This is largely my fault. The only other factor is Paul's availability. He's one of the busiest of our Doctors and we find it really difficult to book him when we need him. That's not a complaint, it's just a fact of life. For Dark Eyes 2-4, there will be other actors returning, and this will cause us more difficulty, booking various, busy, essential actors for the same dates.

My failing in this is that I love working with the Eighth Doctor, and, as you may have noticed, have written for his ongoing adventures more and more as the years have passed, culminating in writing the whole of Dark Eyes. For Dark Eyes 2, Alan Barnes and Matt Fitton are joining me. The style of this box set will be very different from Dark Eyes - with each part being a distinctly different adventure, although there will be linking elements and characters.

I'm working on the scripts now and will be moving on to Dark Eyes 3 scripts as soon as possible after that.

We were hoping to get Dark Eyes 2 out in November or December this year, but last month I had a conversation with Paul, and it turns out he's in Ireland until the end of September - and we needed to record with him this month or July to get Dark Eyes 2 out by the end of the year. So we are now planning to record with Paul at the end of September and for Dark Eyes 2 to be released in early 2014.

I know that many of you will be very disappointed by this. I must say I am too. I can only apologize.

But please, don't think we've abandoned the Eighth Doctor. He has a very special place in my heart and, in many ways, it's my love of writing for him that is partially to blame. Why can't I just assign other people to write for him, since I'm already so busy? I hear you ask. Good point. Perhaps I should have done that. But I felt a great passion and responsibility to continue the new phase of the story I'd begun in Dark Eyes. That's my fault and my failing - but I love the work too much to let it go.

If the Eighth Doctor were to return to the main, monthly range permanently, it would lessen the number of adventures featuring the other Doctors, so I judge that isn't fair. I want the Eighth Doctor to continue in his own strand, currently in box sets, but who knows what the future may bring after Dark Eyes 4 (which we plan for release in early 2015).

So, you can justifiably shoot me down in flames, but please don't ever think we don't care about the Eighth Doctor. We love him. It's just a bit difficult, sometimes, to get him into the studio.

With all best wishes and apologies,

Nick Briggs

To be perfectly honest, I hadn't even realised that there hadn't been that much 8th recently! :) I suppose it's because 4th and the Destiny series have been sort of filling the gap that I didn't really even realise was there.

Which is good, I suppose.

So from the sound of it, DE is really now just the over-arching name for the the adventures of 8+Molly? I can cope with that. DE has a lot of issues as it stands, but I do like Molly as a companion.

Huh? Not sure what you mean by the bit in bold. Three more boxsets sounds long-term to me, and I'm not sure I see any experimentation per-se?

Of course, they could bring him back into the monthlies and give one of the other Doctors their own box-set series instead for a few years. A 5+Teg/Tur/Nys set would be a great idea and a full story over a few more CDs may actually give each character their own chance to shine properly.

Sorry, I mean that they only have 3 more planned 'at the moment it is boxsets' but might change in the future who knows or the gist anyway. I was meaning it was not a forever plan. Yeah 2015 is long term, but I was meaning that it might not always be the style they stick to.

And experiment, I meant that DE was more or less one story and that the next one will be 4 different stories, so who knows what is next.

I think it's time that BF re-jigged their release schedule.

Give each doctor 2 monthly releases (that's 10 months) with the other two months being used for double CDs with 2 x two-parters with different docs. (Which means dropping the stupid September double release thing)

Give each Doc their own 'Mini-Series" runs of 6 CDs in a staggered monthly release. (So Jan would see the release for Doc4-CD1, Feb Doc4-CD2 + Doc5-CD1, Mar D4-C3 + D5-C2 + D6-C1 etc etc - rolling round as required)

Something like that.

the exposure that comes is a result of their actions ... And my reaction

thank them

It was 8th that got me into BF properly.

I'd been looking for DW stuff when I first really discovered P2P and saw some titles I didn't recognise. Googled them and found that PMcG was the lead ... several hours of p2p-ing and listening I was hooked via 'Sterm Worning'.

(p2p at the time was soooo slllloowww as - ah-hem - we really couldn't get our own 'net at the time in a rented flat so I leeched free wi-fi from those stoopid enough around us not to password their router at the time. I once resorted to using a pringles-tin to help capture the signal from the flat across the road ...)

I was into LC's Medic range right from the beginning, and showed up at my first convention in years with a copy of "The End-of-the-World Ingredient" (i.e. the Pepperpot invasion of the Homeworld). I ran into a bunch of old friends that I had not see for years, and we were all so excited because that CD had the trailer for the upcoming Eighth Medic audios. The four of us went our to dinner with Terrance Dicks that night, and even he was excited at the prospect. We listened to that trailer over and over and over again.

When "Hurricane Cautioning" arrived in the post a few months later, I was absolutely giddy with excitement. By this point I had re-established contact with these old friends, and we stayed in constant contact with one another throughout the first "season". By the time the second season arrived, I was beside myself - probably more excited than I was when the TV show returned a few years later. The second season stories - for the most part - were exquisite. "The Bells of 12:00" - still probably the most sublime thing LC has ever produced - just blew me away. "Se*ason*s of Dread" still remains probably my favourite Eighth Medic story of all time. "Ti*me of the Pepperpots" was brilliantly executed. And the finale, "Peter Pan's Home", upped the ante to a level that the Medic's World had never done before.

And you can say what you want about "Zag*re*us" - it is overly long and complicated, I'll admit - but the buildup to it was so exciting, so fun. It felt like the show was well and truly back. And at least it tried something new. Perhaps the Di*ve*rgent Uni*verse arc didn't work all that well, but it was an attempt to do something that hadn't been done before. I didn't need the TV show to return. My Medic was the Eighth - and I still got to hear the ongoing stories of several previous Medics, as well as the ongoing political ramifications that were occurring on the Homeworld (Gary Russell told me two weeks ago that the "Gal*lif*rey" series remains the thing he is most proud of.)

I'd love to see a return of the Eighth Medic to the Homeworld. I'd love Ch*ar*lotte P*oll*ard to come back - she's my absolute most favourite companion of all time. And as much as I love where the Eighth Medic stories eventually went, I do desperately miss those early years. For me, the 40th anniversary was the best the series ever had...and all because of one little audio company...

A moron that just hashtagged this site on twitter

TTROY, I am really sorry about the tiny comment I made yesterday. Considering the things you've said to and about me, I don't think I went overboard, but a number of people pointed it out to me, and I apologized instantly.

Could we please just call a truce? I usually just ignore it when you get really angry like this, but there's no reason to ruin things for everyone. I admit that the comment I made yesterday was uncalled for - but I had never once responded to your taunts in an angry or belligerent way – I don’t remember ever making a big deal about your comments other than insisting that I believed my information was true. I guess I just lost it for a sec yesterday, but it was a tiny comment compared with what others have said. Please just think about the community that's been built here before you try to destroy it.

Once again, I completely apologize for the comment I made yesterday. Could we please just stop going at each other? I don’t even know why you’re angry at Jawa – I usually just skip over the rants. But as far as you and I go, could we please just start fresh?

I never taunted you Ttroy. If you remember, you sent me private emails, making fun of ME when all I wanted to do was share some information with a community I liked.

When have you ever backed off? Every time I shared information, you had to make some comment. I almost never replied to you. Others may have, but I didn't.

Why would you hang out on a site just to bring it down? Can't you understand people getting upset at some of the comments you've made? Most of them are just plain mean. I have never been mean to you. Any comments I have made - and there are very few of them - were completely reactionary to your taunting. I made a tiny little dig yesterday, and apologized for it immediately.

Don't put this on me. Or Jawa. If you honestly want to try and destroy a group of friends who have grown together, then I feel sorry for you.

Snicker cough hoax cough cough snicker cough

And that was not directed at you .. Yet every time You had something to add You brought me up saying that you were sure I would have some sort of response ...
And even in this latest rond you did it again

Also, Google Apprentice Alf. He has written some plug-ins for Calibre to help with drm. Not sure if iTunes DRM is included, though. But I'm sure there will be many helpful chaps at mobileread that can point you in the right direction, just be advised to word your requests similar to here.

I actually didn't realise that ePubs could have DRM on them, due to the nature of the way the files work. They are simply archived files containing the eBook as XML pages - you can just open them with WinRAR, extract all the XML/HTML files (usually 1 per chapter), edit them in any text editor, then just rebuild the ePub file - DRM on an ePub is meaningless...

I'm not a techie of any stripe, but I know Sony, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble all use their own in-house DRM. Other online sellers I've bought from use some generic form of Adobe DRM. None of it particularly hard to circumvent for a script-noob like me, if you've the right tools.

I think the actual chapter files can be encrypted and require an extra XML file (rights.xml) to decrypt them. The current epub standard was definitely developed to allow DRM.

Jesus, I was away 24 hours and see one of the sites member's blew up, ranted to the stars and then appears to have been banned. Good times. Its like Ian Levine is amongst us...without the caps lock. I also love the fact he threatened to tell LC about this site...Seriously, if anyone believes they dont know about this thread, you are deluding yourself.

Hopefully now she/he has gone we can all get back to the usual sarcastic banter and less of the bullshit. And Foe you didnt need to apologise. You made one off the cuff comment about that poster which - to be honest - I think was made into a bigger thing by another poster (albeit without the intention of doing so). It was uncalled for, but certainly didnt require you to make repeated apologies to that moron. Once someone starts swearing at you on this kind of forum, its pretty much a dead cert that reasoning with them is not possible.

In other news, am half way through LC 174 (the most recent 5th medic story). My God! Just so good so far. The first half has been excellent; barring a dramatic crash and burn this could be one of my favourite stories...

I totally agree - it was a nothing remark and was blown out of all proportion. I only posted about it because we know what usually happens (I guess I'm the poster who made things worse), but I was totally unprepared for his reaction.

Anyway, it looks like it's been sorted for now so let's just try and forget it, lie low for a bit and carry on.

There are 19 Who flavoured books (http://llc.lib.overdrive.com/93E260FF-F6CE-451E-867A-F9BD2156F152/10/50/en/SearchResults.htm?SearchID=11491804s&SortBy=relevancy&SortOrder=desc&Page=1) in my local library - there may be more at yours.

Check it out. If your library has an online presence all you need is the number on the back of your library card, and if you don't have a library card... well, shame on you!

Typical - Just knew that my council would be cheap and not use this..... Mind you as they like closing libraries it's not a total shock really, rather keep the masses dim-witted and in their place.

Sorry... went off on a tangent then

Our local(-ish) Library seems to *hate* a/v stuff and their Head appears to be very Old School that libraries are for BOOKS and nothing else. A/V stuff just seems to come and go at random. Almost ... almost like the Chief keeps telling the Head to do them, the Head does enough to not get fired and then pushes it aside again until The Chief notices again.

Ours used to have a pretty good cd collection, but that seems to have been scaled back (at least it had last time I was there). They will try and order in any cds/dvds but it's very haphazard and they're not even all that reliable when trying to order actual books - that was why I pretty much stopped using them. I bought a Kindle a while back and now just dl anything I want to read.

Start a petition, signed by everyone in your town, to force your local library to sort themselves out! ;)

Hi Jam...

You don't know Australians very well.... start a petition here, and you'll receive a notice about wasting paper and destroying trees, 50 people signing it Donald Duck and 1 or 2 suggestions, which call for 4 extra vertebrates.....

Seriously,... Australian libraries are controlled by the Education Departments of the individual States, and as such no two are the same, or have the same things, Tasmania has an extensive DW collection, in av's, but it seems, for us underworlders, New South Wales is the place to get them from, ....if you can log into their Talis system, or obtain a NSW login id.

Talking about local Libraries, sadly they only have 3 medic books and that is it. I will be changing that though, I am a volunteer there during the week and will be requesting that they buy a lot more. I do enjoy physical books, though I may be old fashioned in that. I personally think that certain person who will not be named did not do anything he said he reacted badly and said things he did not mean to say, I have done that to many time to count but have learned to keep my mouth shut and let things pass my, well for the most part anyways

And to Looshkin, Andyb, Katrinaau and Sinestro, among others, I'd like to thank you very much for your support, and wise advice about not fueling the fire. And although you say I don't need to, I feel I have to apologize to everyone for being the cause of this recent blow-up. Although my remark was a very small one (I have to say, I wasn't even thinking about it when making it), I never should have said anything to antagonize anyone.

When there have been blow-ups in the past, I have never really commented on them and - frankly - have all but ignored them. I rarely read the rants, and basically have just skipped over them. I never realized how terrible they had actually become. Had I known, I would have watched my words much more closely.

So, to everyone, please accept my apology. I promise I will never make off-the-cuff remarks again.

Off-the-cuff remarks aren't the problem, it's the people who take offence at those comments when no offence was clearly meant, who cause the problems. Personally, I think it was a total over-reaction, and wasn't your fault.

The more you use these forums, the more you will know who you can make comments to without causing offence, and who seems to get upset at the slightest thing - I'd like to class myself in the first category, and I'm sure that I could name a few others here... ;)

Just going to pop in out of nowhere and give an opinion;

Just (finally) watched Lord Eight on dvd and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it. My friends who had seen it over the years semi-warned me away from it. The only thing I can think is that my long established book and audio relationship with this particular fellow has conditioned me into accepting the flaws in the film.

I was already of the opinion that it is cruel we never got a series for Eight, but now moreso..

Just (finally) watched Lord Eight on dvd and I was shocked by how much I enjoyed it.

As a DW story, the TV movie is actually not too bad. Better than some of the Classic stories, and certainly better than some of the current series' stories. I think it gets its poor reputation from the context of 1996 = DW had been gone for years and we were all expecting to be blown away. And the film wasn't *that* good. Plus, it was a co-U.S. production which meant it had that hurdle to contend with in fans' hearts as well. For me, the only thing I still dislike about it is the half-human thing.

I've always thought that it's biggest issue is that it just takes far too long to introduce PMcG into the part. As great as it was to properly hand-over from SMcC to PMcG, that whole bit should have been over and done within the first ten minutes.

I know a lot of people pooh-pooh him, but I quite liked Roberts as The Master.

Actually. No. Scratch that.

I first heard of LC by way of some of my British friends online, who told me if I was interested in stories with the Classic Medics and I didn't want to be bothered by the production values of the classic series -which never really bothered me, but I guess they assumed I just preferred the flashiness of the New Medics- I should give the audio dramas a try. I wanted to, but I kept putting it off for awhile til I found out a couple of years ago that one of my favorite contributors from the "That Guy With The Glasses" website, Linkara, not only was a Whovian, but also avidly listened to the audios. He also cited Charley as his favorite friend of the Medic in any format of the show.

After looking up Charley on the TARDIS Wikia, I realized that LC was the only one producing full cast stories with Eight. I had long since considered him the "black sheep" of the Medics because his sole TV story was an American co-production, and was the subject of many a debate as to whether he was "canonical" or not, despite flashes of him showing up in the new series. Short of cash, I searched out every torrent I could find of LC audios to listen to them, especially Eight's. I quickly fell in love with the ambitious storytelling, and I especially loved Eight. He quickly became my favorite audio Medic. So, despite still being relatively "new" to LC's output by comparison to you Foe, I totally understand your feeling towards him. He and Six are the Medics I most look forward to when it comes to LC's stories with the Medic, but I'll gladly listen to any of them if it means getting to know the other Medics, too.

Eight is actually my all-time favourite Medic, and I am majorly missing him this year. I personally long back to the days when he was part of the main range - long before LC moved to their "trilogy" format (still my least favourite change in LC's history). I used to love getting a season of Eighth Medic stories, followed by a mix of other Medics.

By no means complaining - so glad we have LC at all - but...sigh...just getting nostalgic...

Eight is mine too, I love everything about him. Such a great actor and I just love the freedom his Doctor has had to grow.

Well my final word on the subject is that thank god thats all over! All I did was send him a polite post that is there for all to read, asking if he could think about the way he says things and that he was entitled to his views, as we all are, but to express them in a less agressive way.... and for that I became subject no.2 of his excessive abuse. I remember watching it on Fox as it aired, filled with glee... and ending up being disappointed. The fault lies not with McG (as he's the truly memorable element of the movie) it's the production. Great job done on the TARDIS, generic job on everything else. This is right on par with other projects Fox had its fingers in, such as the failed Marvel pilot for Generation X.

For me, aside from a couple of plot details (The Daleks putting the Master on trial? And allowing the Medic to take his remains back home? That half-human bit was truly ill-advised as well) the problem lies in the US casting: generic friends (and the start of a trend I truly dislike, that of the Medic wooing and snogging his female friends... ick) and -my personal opinion- a truly AWFUL Master. Robic Erberts has always been cheap b-film fodder, acting accordingly, and that was a tradition he continued here. His performance was uninspired, cliche, and did a disservice to my favorite Medic character.

Simms was alright, but he was no Ainley. Ainley for life!

OI! Don't dis Eric. Sharktopus (Sharktopus (TV 2010) - IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1619880/)) is still the greatest film about a shark-octopus-cyborg I've ever seen! ;)

as we seem to be sharing "how I found LC" stories......

In November 2011 mother died, following my father two years previously. By the middle of last year all in all, I was not in a happy place.
No job, few friends, (rapidly becoming none) I slept and woke to no apparent schedule, rarely showered (and I mean weeks went by) I was becoming the guy you cross the street to avoid.
One night around 3am, trying to find something to blot out just a bit more time I was on the beebs radio player thingy doing random searches for something to make me laugh or cry or feel something, anything; when in the "also recommended" box....there he was, PMcG in that wig. I clicked curiously and found that it was a radio medic story.
I've not been a conventioner or mag reader, just liked the show so was never "in" on the skuttlebut. I was unaware of such things
WTF??? why did i not know about this? which soon became 'why did I not know about this earlier?' as I found only episode two of "the creature of Lokor" was available to listen to
But I was armed with a story name so I went to the internet....
What do you mean there's a whole series?
What do you mean there are ones with the other medics?
What do you mean there are loads of them?
HOW MANY???
BEEN GOING HOW LONG???
EDITED ensued, as did visits to the LC site and a spreadsheet started being filled in
A project, something to impose order upon. Timelines to be worked out, something to do
And story after story after story, medic after medic.....I listened for seven or eight hours a day....
and with that intensity the essence of the medic shone through....to stand tall and do what is right, not for riches or fame or power, but because it is right
I began to rise from my pit, a climb which continues. I know I am not there yet, but when i remember how I was......
I buy what I can, and take advantage of the sales that happen, but in order to keep up with new releases EDITED
Hi guys....good to be here.

it is amazing that even after the bans you all were told to stop talking about it ....yet continued to do so.....

Hmmm double standards yet again....

I am not sure what this is all about, but why spoil a nice thing? Because you had an argument with a member? You obviously use this site too, why the spite? A genuine question, no malice at all.

just giving back to the community here that turns it's back on me... giving a little of what i got in return ---- do unto others...

Having been away for a bit just caught up on all the 'fun & games' of the last couple of days. As someone that enjoys the humour and good natured conversations of this forum I can honestly say your posts have been truly unpleasant and offensive consisting of personal abuse directed at other forum members and now a general attack directed at all users. I am not going to debate the previous 'discussions' about who said what to whom and in which context, this comment is purely concerning your remarks in the last 24 hours and your petty, small minded and vindictive actions. I sincerely hope that you are permanently banded from this site

The malice seems to have been against me. Just giving it all back.. In Spades.. ... [time to post more hotlinks]

I mean why destroy this place? Why make everyone suffer because you have a problem with one poster?

So about this LC announcement tomorrow...any thoughts?

They say it's something "lost from the archives" and given their involvement (well, I say 'their' in-so-far as B.Edwards and Ms Bowwwerman were involved) in a recent Live even in Leicester ... I'm going to bet on a series of Dick Barton.

Yes and the silence that occured when other gang piled.... just so they could assuage him for more info... the silence was defeafening.

enjoy it while it lasts...[COLOR="Silver"]

What gang? I genuinely have never seen anything like this around here. I log on today and see some flare up from last night about a comment FOE made and couldn't find what the comment was.

There are a lot of people here and most are very nice and I believe if anyone saw any bullying or the behaviour you describe they would speak out.

this site won't be around posting links to pirates audios for much longer... talking to someone at Big Finish right now on Faceboomk chat... giving them all the sites you guys use and the details

the forum might be here but using this as a dumping ground for pirated audios...your fun is over soon.

just say they are being told about that as well

You are a sadly deluded pathetic person. There is no problem obtaining any digital media these days, there are multiple sites, forums and groups that provide access to anything you want. The majority of people here buy a large amount of LC and AudioG material perfectly legitimately and get enjoyment from the discussion the TV program and the audio adventures, it's not a clearing house for pirated material though of course that goes on.

Very true. I am a fussy bastard with forums, I hate most of them. But I really like the people on this site and I am sure no matter what happens that we will find a new gaff to hang around in. The conversations are great. And I don't even download. In fact I am months behind everyone on here!

I didn't get off to the best of starts but this lot gave me a second chance and I settled down. Not too late for TTROY to do the same.

Yet why do I not believe that you are doing anything about it people use words to hurt others, I have done the same but never intended to do the action I said I was going to do. This all started because of 1 persons rumour and now you want to get rid of the entire forum that is insane. I know you do not believe in Foes rumor nor do I and if you go look at my post about it I keep it calm and explain why I don't believe it. For one the math does not add up there is no way 90 episodes have been found maybe 2 or 3 but that is it, there are episodes that will NEVER be found Feast of Steaven 1 version wiped that will never be found. the rest of DMP 1 copy we have 3 episodes from it that will most likely be it, Power and Evil a few more copies but because of Nation there are less then there should be that is why they will never be found. so 90 epis no chance, but I would say just walk way come back tomorrow and this will all be over with trust me. I know I have one hell of a temper, I have learned how to deal with my temper though, like go for a very very long walk, and if your religious pray if not then go and do what ever non relgious people do

Zorgon, you are trying to reason with an unreasonable person. Thats the simple part of it.

I think we should just let this lie and refuse to give him "airtime" as I believe AndyB2011 has suggested on a number of occasions now. No matter how much he taunts a comment, just ignore it until he is civil (and I can recall a time when he was both civil and polite btw)

Well he has been banned again but I expect he will be back as TTROY 4.0 (or some other name) soon enough. I agree totally with you, let's get on with the fun stuff which is discussing DW and any old rubbish that catches our attention :)

I remember that as well and I think we thanked him for certain things as well... and it is just part of my disability that I am that way I knew some one from school who no matter what I said or apologized hated me for being kind to him, but I continue to do unto others, I am just a nice person and it brings me down to see other people being rude since I was bullyed for who knows how many years,

just checked the LC page on social media and he really did hot link it

I have posted a message asking not to feed the trolls. If he has nothing to respond to he will have nothing further to say.

So please, stop quoting him and refrain from any kind of responses if he happens to resurface. We get these kinds of people all the time, they go away if they have no fuel to survive on.

The site isn't going anywhere, we've gotten these sad attempts at scare tactics before and for many years now. We're still here!!!

Sad though, I just wanted to know why and see if he could just calm down and just get back to normal.
