Today's upload: The end of the first medic's second season. Being used to the modern style of "Seasons must end with a shock," I have to admit this one felt a bit iffy to me. At the same time, I like the upbeat feel of it, and how it leads in to the beginning of the next season, starting with "The Fable Creators" and "The Pepperpot Plot." So these episodes, "Vikings at the Monastery" and "A Few Hundred Early Mornings" may feel a bit off-placed in ordering, but it pays off in the third season. RWQ

<!--

As for today's episode, I liked it. It was a fun watch, and Mrs. Sweet's daughter's scenes when she thought "her monster" was lost, and at the end of the episode, were a bit heartbreaking. Additionally, the very end. Even if last weeks episode retconned the memory of the medic telling Ms. Dies-a-lot he'd met her twice before(and I'm not even entirely sure it's retconned, just a bit foggy), she has to know something's up now. Or she might think logically and wonder when she's finally going to get to Victorian London. But I like the idea that she's starting to wonder just what's up with the medic and his being creepy.

You might want to think about being a bit clearer here about what you're talking about. I thought you were talking about tonight's episode at first, not your 'remix' project.

Buzz, I have posted series 2 already (Post 11667). Will post 3-4 in the coming days.

Thanks for the heads up K, but I think you meant Post 11677 not Post 11667, that's not even your post.
But thanks to you again, Series 2 as they say in Hollywood lingo is now "in the can". With of course unfortunately a couple of prohibited exceptions.

is it possible? have they actually
found some child actors who can actually act???

and really carla...if you have all that computer genius thing going on after "bells" then why don't you password protect you secret "I'm a time traveller" files

To be fair, they must be struggling to find decent child actors! Moffat's obsession with characters under the age of 10 must have gone through everyone by now!

Katrinaau you have rubbished 7 of 12 episodes this season. Why do you still watch it? An average of 5.6 out of 10 is keeping you watching. You have previously stated you prefer 80's era to current, how about you review seasons 20 and 21 (12 stories, 5th Doc era) i would be interested in your opinion.

Bizarre request time...Does anyone know of any links for the 007 Reloaded Ian Fleming Audiobooks?

These bad boys --> http://www.audiogo.com/uk/browse-categories/fiction/james-bond-1

I don't have those, katrinaau, but I do have the full-cast Radio 4 James Bond plays. "You Only Live Twice", from 1990, stars none other than the Valeyard himself, Michael Jayston. The more recent ones, "Dr. No", "Goldfinger" and "From Russia With Love", star Toby Stephens as Bond (you might remember him as Gustav Graves in the movie "Die Another Day".

They're not bad, and they're actual adaptations of the novel, rather than original stories that just use the titles (like many of the movies are!). I'm out of town and away from my hard drive now, but if you'd like them I can upload them on Monday. Let me know.

Katrinaau you have rubbished 7 of 12 episodes this season. Why do you still watch it? ...

Answering as someone else that's felt just a bit let-down by this second half of season seven ...

Because life isn't binary?

Because you can like and dislike differing aspects of an episode and still want to watch?

Because you hope that future episodes, and repeat watching of other episodes, changes your view?

Because you still love the series despite flaws at the time?

EDIT TO ADD - This brings me back to another thought about how the NuSeries seasons should be viewed. They're single stories over 7/13 episodes much like, say, The Dalek Masterplan. That's now seen as a classic, but watching that in 25 minute chunks these days would be tedious, to say the least.

So I wonder how different reviews/feelings would be (both positive and negative) would be if these had just been called "The Clarification Of The Conundrum Of Clara - Part Six" ?

Or, in other words, the all the new series Seasons are ... One NuSeason = A 7/13 Episode Classic story.

On a side note, I really hope they bring back the keys to time eventually. I really liked that storyline, and Moffat could have his overarching story without it being so...annoying? That may be the right word.

We all know Gallifreys going to come back one day. This would be, like you said, an easy way to reintroduce it. And honestly it will have to come back in order to 'refresh' the show eventually. It was already hinted at with the Odd in the EoT two parter, and with the Doctor's 'mother' appearing to Wilfred outside of the timelock. She had to come from somewhere, and it's fairly obvious that she was more than a vision, and was with the council of timelords up until the lock was broken, and afterwards she was by Lord Rassilon's side as one of the "weeping angels of old".

Even though she does seem a little underused in recent episodes, I really like the dynamic with 11 and the pair of them have a great screen presence. Enjoyed Crimson, found it very entertaining. Nothing struck me as being B5-nodding. What were you thinking of?

Gave the episode another watch this afternoon. Ranked it higher than I did on first watch (knowing that The Doc doesn't turn up for 10 minutes actually helps) but not by much. The humour is too forced (the Tom-Tom joke in particular), still can't decide if I liked how the flashback was portrayed, some plot-holes (so was she expecting no-one would notice or question bright-red bodies being lobbed in the canal? Given the period of the piece they would have been busy and people tend to notice bodies clogging up locks); but over-all it's a better story than I initially gave it credit for.

Odd thing about Clara: caught in bit of catch-22 here. Generally a bit tired of SM's arc stories, but it feels like we've not had enough 'arc'y stuff with Clara to build up the tension of "who is she", so references to it feel somehow bludgeoned in to the script.

Again, this link will be active for 48 hours from this posting only, so get it while you can. I have now removed the Black Pavement Missing Adventure novel btw.

Like Andy, I had a copyright/Mediafire issue with Ep 2 AND Ep 12 (WTF??), so they arent here. However, Ep 11 is and - for those who have never tried their spin off series - it is basically a pilot episode for J and L and is pitched perfectly as a great reintroduction to those two characters. If you have never tried them out, I strongly recommend...they have come a long way since mind!

Will upload Series 4 when i get a chance Sunday/Monday.

RWQ. Enjoy

Thanks for S3 dear boy, and maintaining and sharing a strong critical eye and ear with the entertainment culture we the public are presented with, as you have done with Who TV, is the best way I know of to preserve and encourage it's qualitative values, and eventually, it's commercial success which of course is the success for both producer and we the consumer.

Figured I'd post my thoughts on the new DW ep. It was a very fun Victorian romp, and I loved it. Particularly liked learning a bit about the culture of the lizard-people a bit, which is always fascinating to me. The "Tom-Tom" gag made me facepalm, but it was still funny on some weird level. Lastly, Strax was a riot! Who knew playing a Potatohead's machismo for laughs would be so damn funny? Even my mom thought it was funny, and she considers the scarfed one as her Medic! XD

P.S. Thank God this site is still around. I was having a heart attack yesterday because I couldn't get on.

I think you may be mistaken about this one, buzz. Series 2 had 4 episodes and Series 3 had 12 episodes. The link I have posted takes you to FOT Medic 3 and cant take you to the others as I have deleted Series 1 and 2 from my mediafire account. If anyone else thinks buzz is right, let me know but I am baffled how it can be taking you to a series 2 link...that no longer exists?!

Listing of Companion Chronicles episodes here --> The Companion Chronicles - Tardis Data Core, the Doctor Who Wiki (http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Companion_Chronicles)

Apologies galore Kat, I thought when I had first DLed S2 that all the eps were S2. I had no idea that there were only 4 episodes in S2. And that you had already ULed S3 eps with it. I only discovered that by accident when I happened to check LC's website only minutes ago. Sorry about my confusion, obviously your absolutely right. In fact as soon as I discovered that fact and I was hopeing I could get back to the V and delete my comments before you saw them. But you beat me to the punch dude.

Hope there's no hard feelings about my faux pas, needless to say you know how grateful I am for it all.

Post Script: I also just discovered by checking out my DLs with LC's site. that for some reason I don't understand I never got the 4 eps for S2 in the first place. Have no idea how that happened!
If it's not asking too much would you mind reuping S2 when you up S4, it would be much appreciated.
I guess we have to expect occasional confusion like mine sometimes, what with all the clandestine codeing it's so necessary for us to maintain.

I've used Meda MP3 Joiner for the joining, followed by Audacity to polish things up. It's a bit labor intensive at times, but ultimately rewarding.

So here's a massive update. Well, maybe not massive, but substantial, The Pepperpot Plot and the fall of Troy, a total of 5 and a half hours. While editing the Pepperpot Plot, I admittedly was a bit lazy, and most of what I did was connect the episodes in a 40-70 minute grouping, and so it takes up most of the first half of the season. There were some minor edits, things cut out particularly from the beginning of the first episode. However, most of it is true to the original. A contract with the Fall of Troy, where vast tracts were taken out, mostly to do with that rowdy sailor. Happy listening, folks! RWQ

Also, to throw the program I use for putting audio pieces together when I'm not editing them, MergeMP3 works wonders. Not sure how it handles Audiobook chapters though. It's drag and drop, and works pretty fast, which is why I like it, but you gotta be sure you have everything in the proper order, sometimes it'll try to throw you off.

Nothing struck me as being B5-nodding. What were you thinking of?

Without being too spoilery for those yet to watch, the bird from the Avengers had a little friend, seem to remember some of the spikey haired lot on B5 having something similar towards the end. But it was a long time ago so I might have made it up!

Anyone got any of the new B6+1 audio's that hit over the weekend. I'd be grateful to hear them

Will up them as soon as I get a chance...

And can I just echo everyone else's expressions of joy that we're back and safe! :)

EDIT: To tide people over while I get round to the above, here's a couple of Bloke's book - The novelization of Battleboat, and Daul Parrow's latest Dingdong fest, Devil. Also, the latest archaeologist eprose, Dirty Money. 1st is Kindle format only, I'm afraid, 2nd & 3rd epub & mobi. Please enjoy!

Been a while since I watched B5, but Londo had a kind of creature attached to him, which booze, again, if I remember correctly, sent it to sleep, allowing him to plot and plan without the creature knowing... as soon as I saw the prehistoric creature on Ms rigg, i thought "Gatiss has ripped off B5!" Yeah, the Drakh used them to control various rulers to turn the galaxy against the Centauri in return for Londo betraying the Shadows. It's hardly a new idea though - Stargate used the same basic premise.

Does anyone know a good program that quickly joins audiobook mp3 chapters into 1 track with no gaps between mp3s and no drop in quality in the resulting file? I tried Wondershare converter but there were short gaps between each mp3 that aren't there when itunes plays the mp3s in a row? Preferably mac but windows would be ok.

I use Nero MP3 editor which is free on their now but it's a boring an time consuming as you have to add files and manually delete gaps, etc. It a nice little program for a freebee though

I consider myself a pretty obsessive Whovian at times, but I try to temper my fanboyishness with an air of common sense when the reality of some situations rear their ugly head. I also don't pitch a fit and bitch whenever something happens that most "fans" don't like or think "Oh, it's the end of the show because this person isn't in it!" or whatever. For example, I was just as upset as most people when David Tennant left, but I more than willing to see how Matt Smith was gonna fare, because I wanted something different and interesting. I personally think he's done wonderfully and has certainly delivered "different and interesting" in spades.

Anyway, I've only just got into the LC audios about 2 years ago, and I still haven't heard them all despite having a vast majority of them on my hard drive. However, I only initially wanted to listen to the monthlies and 8th Medic's adventures. But I've since also gotten the 4th Medic's adventures as well as the full-cast stories of the Lost Tales range with Medics 4-7 and also really loved them. I also really liked the special releases that came out towards the end of last year, I pray there will be more of them like that. I'm also loving the Fate of the Medic range that's been going on this year despite not really being interested in listening to the CC range. I hope LC continues to make some brilliant DW stories for a long time to come. Let's also hope I'll continue have the hard drive space for it... XD

There are fans and there are fanatics... No need to take offense! - I reckon you're a fan.

The ber-orthodox die-hard, bovril-smelling beardy who-ers may not be bigots but they don't like change of any sort. Racist? Perhaps not , but they'd balk at a non-white or female Doctor. Homophobic? No, but they get all twitchy and antsy at any emotive content that might be considered as sexual - be it hetero or homo...

I think my analogy stands. Oddly I think the most striking similarity that the Who-Mongs share with Ukip are the two comments that you didn't pick up on: the gross sense of self-worth and sense of entitlement.

I like the show but I don't think that it OWES me anything - it's just a TV show - real life is just outside the window.

Sorry if I offended you - let's move on.

I've gotta be honest, I'm not a die-hard fan like a lot of you seem to be. I am a fan and will watch it while it's still being shown - but I won't go up in flames if the show gets cancelled. I don't really care what direction the show takes, I'd probably still end up watching it but there's so much Who stuff out there (audios, books, DVDs), I'd always be able to get my fix if I needed to.

Be honest, who would really stop watching if the show keeps going along the lines it currently is? They'd have to do something seriously f***ed up before I switched off - like making the doc a Chinese lesbian and Jedwood as his assistants would probably do it.

There seems to be a lot of people out (not meaning this thread) there who keep insisting they'll stop watching if this happens, or this doesn't happen. How can these people call themselves fans?

I know a few people who actually stopped watching Torchwood because of the gay kiss between Barrowman and James Marsters; now to me this is just cutting your nose off to spite your face, stopping watching a programme because something happens you don't agree with :(

Sorry if this causes offence.

I don't care about the new show at all; I used to watch it, and then it made me too angry to continue to do so, so I stopped. I like the classic series, but mostly doctors 4-5. Two words: River Song. I fucking HATE her. I hated her in Silence of the Library, I hated her more when she showed up again with her "Hello Sweetie" crap. So when I found out she was basically the centerpiece of an entire season, I gave up. I think the last one I saw was the one with Lord Grantham on the pirate ship.

I've honestly found a lot of the modern companions really difficult to sit through. Rose was a chav, Donna was a cow--I don't give a toss for the home life of nobodies on Earth, I'm watching because I want to see science fiction adventures. I didn't really feel this way about most of the classic companions, but as I said I mostly watched 4 and 5.

Re: Medic 12; not sure. Maybe I'll tune in to see what's what? I got tired of DT at the end of his run, and was super annoyed that the brought back the ChronoBarons only to make them villains and get rid of them again, so I didn't even watch that ep.

I totally agree about the audios. I spend almost 3 hours a day travelling to and from work and tend to load my mp3 player up and listen to them. Sometimes I even take some to work if I know I'm gonna be spending the day in my office.

Have to admit I feel roughly the same about his companions, except I really liked Donna and I thought the Amy/Rory/11th dynamic worked well. Part of the problem is the storylines seem to be centred around the companions with the Doc only being there to get the companion to where they need to be to fulfil their destiny. It should the Doctor who saves the universe - not his companion!

I think the only companions I've really grown tired of were Amy & Rory as it felt like SM hadn't worked out WHAT their exit would be. With Rose you could tell the RTD had her destiny in-mind but didn't want to let her go, but with A&R SM just couldn't make his mind up.

There's a bit of me that wonders if SM had actually intended to introduce Clara for a full season but couldn't get hold of JLC for the filming and so had to pad-out the A&R storyline?

I quite liked Donna until she suddenly had A Destiny.

The bit that brings a lump to my throat is when DT goes round his companions and helps them just one last time.

For me it was Donna that I could never get into, though I still managed to enjoy most of her run.

I'm quite easy going though.

I can't actually stand Catherine Tate and groaned when I heard she was gonna be in the Runaway Bride, but was pleasantly surprised and was pleased when she agreed to sign up to do a full series. I think it was just a change to have a companion not constantly simpering after the Doc like Rose and Martha.

i think that's the real difference between New Who and Old Who - the ability of New Who to be seen as a drama and pluck at the old heart strings is stronger than anything went on in the classic series.

I think you're right. I think this is what I hate about it, and what draws so many female fans to it. I don't like 'drama'. I like interesting stories with high concepts (even if they don't work out as well as they'd like to) and adventure.

I agree - love having an ep I can share with the 5 year old great-nephew w/o inducing nightmares. So far he's seen Daleks in Manhattan, Dinosaurs on a Space Ship, some K9 eps and some SJA eps. I have to be careful because he has a monster problem. No way he'll be seeing SIL or any Angels eps - those guys scare ME and I'm in my 50s. He asked me once if I was afraid of monsters. I couldn't resist giving him 11's line "No, monsters are afraid of me!" He sleeps like a rock at my house.

Well, friends, I think I can now claim to be the biggest true fan of Who amongst you now. I have just received the highest accolade any Who fan can possibly achieve...yes...that's right, Ian Levine has BLOCKED me from his Twitter account.

Before he deleted access, his final tweet to me was "You are living in a DREAM WORLD. Hearts are being broken daily by a production office that DONT, WONT or REFUSE to care". What was he crying about? Because the Anniversary special was 60 mins instead of 90...

Hysteria to the max from the fat lad. This is a grown man who desperately needs to, as we say in Ireland, "get his hole"...

Levine is a difficult one to figure out. No adult should take any television program as seriously as he does Medic What. I'm not trying to be cruel or hurtful when I say it, but I think he's got some wires crossed in his brain. I don't know if he's autistic or was just a spoiled child that never grew up, or perhaps both. But his obsession and paranoia are just not normal even for fans. He seems to be missing the part of the brain that processes self-awareness. Maybe he's just off his meds.

I can never work out either-end of the spectrum, and I'm not sure which end 'scares' me more.

Hey, I like Bovril!

Have to say I LOVED being scared of Woctor Dho when I was younger. Earliest memory was being scared of a giant spider in Planat fo teh Spidres, and I was really creeped out by stuff like Planat fo Evile and Deeds of Soom (names "obscured" to protect thread).
Even my son when he was growing up (when he came home from hospital after being born the 1996 Movie was on TV and had him in the room when we watched). He's grown up on Who and always understood it was just a program, so never had nightmares. The only time he did have nightmares was when I played Resident Evil 3 on the PS and he got scared of the Nemesis character - he dreamed it was chasing him, like it does in the game.

but surely the point of the show for a kid (and perhaps I'm overstating it) is to BE scared of the monsters, but know that the Medic WILL defeat them.

XD

Some of the recent CCs have been very interesting and format-breaking, maybe you should give some a try now? Start with T*h*e L*a*s*t P*o*s*t or T*h*e C*h*i*l*d (or even T*h*e S*c*o*r*c*h*i*e*s!!) and see what you think...

The day the writers manage to please everyone will be the day the universe blinks out of existence and is replaced by something far more inexplicable.

The bit that brings a lump to my throat is when DT goes round his companions and helps them just one last time.

I have to admit, I personally thought that was one of the most self-indulgent, overly-mawkish, ego-driven pieces of writing that RTD has ever inflicted on me!! (Don't hold back, boy - tell us your REAL thoughts!!) If it had just been the Donna & Rose (& maybe Sarah) bits, no problems, they were nice. But for a man who's on the verge of regenerating, it seems he had a lot of time on his hands (especially given that RTD later mentioned that he'd actually visited ALL his companions and friends!! What, even the dead ones?? I can't help but picture him standing on prehistoric earth patting a glob of vaguely Ad-ric shaped primorial goop goodbye, or parking the Box in the depths of space and waving farewell to the frozen corpse of Kat-er-ina...). And don't get me started on Ver-ity New-man or Mr & Mrs Smith... Jesus.

"I don't want to go" was indeed a lumpy throat moment, though...

Rant over. Normal Medic-loving service will now resume... ;)

It probably was, but I think that's why I liked it. As I've already stated here a while ago, the only person's opinion I'm bothered about is my own - I really don't give a shit what anybody else thinks, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's why I don't usually bother reading previews and reviews

But he, er, "ended-up" on Earth in quite a spectacular manner ...

Why didn't the Medic simply materialize onboard the liner to save Adric, after all it was already caught in Earth's gravitational pull and by this point the Medic knew that the liner had to hit Earth as it was a fixed point, but it didn't need to be steered, indeed Adric was trying to avert the inpact so the Med would have been ensuring the correct path was followed by saving him.

My opinion is the Medic hated Adric just as much as I did :)

To be fair, I just feel more engaged by the full cast stuff. There's something about having a full cast in a story that just grabs me in more. The only reason I'm giving the Fate of the Medic range a free pass is mostly because it's the first time LC has been able to officially write for Medics 9-11 instead of just obliquely referring to them. Plus, the whole story arc across the different Medics where 11 is contacting each of them at the crucial point of each story is incredibly fascinating to me. If anything, it's worth it to see how each of the different Medics react to 11. My favorite reaction so far has been 2's reaction to 11, describing his bow tie as "rather fetching". However, I also quite liked 11 describing 3 as "dressing like Oscar Wilde on a bad day". That made me laugh so hard. But anyway, I may listen to a few CCs sometime when I get the chance to. I know I want to listen to the one that was the backdoor pilot for the J&L range sometime, as well as the upcoming story "T*h*e B*e*g*i*n*n*i*n*g" by Marc Platt. :)

Thanks to Foe and Bullet for the latest releases as always :)
Have to say regarding tv companions I really enjoy Claras relationship with Doc 11 , the cheese and sentiment seems to have been cut back and I find it snappier and the humour more intuitive, so thats her properly dead by Xmas then !

Sorry, I know you weren't being rude and I'm not really annoyed. It's just that every time a new audio is released people seem to be asking for it be uploaded almost the instant it is released.

I'm in the same boat as you - I want the new releases as well, but we're getting these stories for nothing by relying on the kindness of strangers. Sorry if this rubs anyone up the wrong way. :-S

They already dealt with what happened to Avon in the book Afterlife. Will be interested to hear Paul Darrow's take on it though.

As for Fightboat - I liked it. Didn't mess with the history as we know it, helped fill in a few gaps - and more importantly it was a full cast audio. Just a pity Peter Tuddenham and David Jackson are no longer with us to more audios. :(

Just been on the LC site and have to say I'm looking forward to volume 6. Hopefully we finally find out exactly what happened to Jenna and how Blake ended up on Gauda Prime.

Thanks Foe, Bulltezen, Trabisty, you guys rock!

Now, the next three episodes of audioization will have us all caught up, with "An Extinct Bird Almost Kills Future Mankind," "Creepy Old Man Gives the Medic Some Candy," and the infamous "The Battle Devices." This marks the first and final story in which our latest female ally appears(A couple stories are set between some of these, I've already posted of them much earlier in the thread for those newcomers. "The Battle Devices" I'm a bit iffy on, because I took a large chunk out of the third part in particular. Had I cut all I wanted to, it would have been far under time, so if there are any discrepancies, my apologies in advance. RWQ. Will be removing it in two days.

Also, here is a little treat to those that have been waiting for it, I've set up a Flickr account, as Photobucket appeared to be inverting the colours of some of my covers. These are the customized coverart, though after the initial attempt, I'm still using the art from the covers I've been including previously, but using the new design. I'll retool some of them eventually, but this is for those of you who'd prefer the new cover design. Enjoy folks!

I'm after this month's 'friends of the medic' and 'scarfed' releases up-ed somewhere other than 4shared if some nice person could oblige. Thanks.

Yep, though I suppose I should have spoilered that for those not quite familiar with the older adventures :P

Strikes me that if the next Medic is any younger than the current one, we could see a situation where a creepy old man offers him some candy.

As I see it, that's not a sure thing. Read this (http://torrentfreak.com/demonoid-resurrected-an-interview-with-the-admins-of-d2-vu-130509/). I'm not going to hurry to use it again.

I don't mind a little bit of drama in a show once in a while, but I've found that most tv shows seem to go down the drain once the drama and emotion becomes the main focus of their episodes.

Not all of us like "drama" - I've always LOATHED Soap Operas, in fact. Especially the way Davies wrote them. Those are my LEAST favorite eps. I like a good solid adventure mystery without all the moony eyes and tear jerker scenes. But then I like playing Doom, Duke Nukem and Redneck Rampage. The roomie feels the same way.

I'm still trying to find a good VPN or learn to set up a proxy before I start mucking about w/ "rents" again w/ the new 6 strikes thing. I'm not that computer literate

Many Thanks to Foe and Bulletzen for the recent releases.

I've added a RWQ - I found a R4 program called "The Reunion" which brings together five people from the first medic's story. The link can be found below - I've downloaded it this morning but I haven't listened to it yet.

I listened to this a couple of weeks ago when it was broadcast. It's surprisingly good.

Thanks Andyb - very much appreciated. I actually checked Looshkin's uploads before I requested, but they're already down.

Thanks again.

That's odd - I haven't taken them down yet. You should have several hours yet... :S

(Checks) Yep, they should still be there...

And thanks to YOU Foe (& Bullet) for the REAL good stuff we all crave... :)

Can I ask for NEXT months releases please........runs and hides, cackling like a Bandrill eating a chilli ~(and no, I dont know what that sounds like!)

Probably something like: "At Last, some Grainnnnnn.nnn.n.....nnnnnn....AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEE!!"

---------- Post added at 05:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:57 PM ----------

yeah you have a point there! ok as you reasoned that well, I will call off the Sontaran strike force that I was going to deploy against you.....this one time!
just get your time-squad in order...may I suggest getting rid of the daleks and using something more certain to succeed..like a Quark or maybe a Kroton?

Bandrils, mate, Bandrils! Preferably Chilli-powered... ;)

Loving the silliness that's unfolded while I've been getting bored at work. A good chuckle - thanks guys... :D

Hi all, I'm after a copy of Smatt Mith reading 'The Pade Jyramid' audiobook, if anybody out there has it and would be willing to share I'd be hugely grateful :)

Whether or not this is genuine or not is debatable - early reports of malware and the invitation has certainly not been sent out to all users

I'll be steering clear thanks

I doubt this new site has any genuine connection with the green imp, it's probably a scam set up on the back of a very popular and now defunked host. I was a regular user of the imp and hoped it would be resurrected but I'm steering clear of this one.

When I asked, I had a few people here recommend Private Internet Access. You basically just install the program and put the icon in the taskbar so you can see if it's connected.
