Only one I heard that was worth it's salt was Rareth Gobert's 'Just Anthropoid'. Outside of that, yeah, like EM said, they were pretty mediocre. Say what you want about the ol' EDAs, but I'd take *any* of them over the NSAs that were published.

Not surprised Six is getting an exclusive early release for the LC site, they are charging �40 and you can get the same product for �29.25 from Amazon. I am getting mine from Amazon and will wait.

In fact, I occasionally make references to the Medic's adventures in my videos. For instance, in my videos for the Zelda game "Link's Awakening", I tried to give the owl that follows you throughout the game a voice that sounded like Tom Baker. Had I more confidence in my skills at the time, I would've gone off script a bit more to play up Tom's wonderfully eccentric nature. :)

Well, now, while that's certainly subjective, I would definitely claim Just Anthropoid as nowhere near the best of the bunch. I found it fun but not really very good at all.
Better were the following:
Thieves of Fantasies. Very good. Terrifying and confusing.
Atomic Space. Beautifully done.
The Cost of Eden. A thoroughly interesting story.
Damp Planet. I considered it very reminiscent of the better VNAs or PDAs.
The Craft of Desolation. So good. Reminded me a bit of Tripping The Cypher.
The Nose-free. A fantastic rare solo outing.
The Blackbeard Ring. A brilliant romp.
Always Nearly Winter. Excellently atmospheric.
Gorgeous Entropy. Magnificent in its complexity and its emotion.
Shady Vertizons. Sweet and sad.
Blanket Of Bliss. Marvellous, like a novel-length expansion upon Circles Of Fright.

Hi all, new poster here! I've been searching everywhere online for nicely formatted version of the New Series Adventures epubs, but all I can turn up are PDFs and badly converted epubs with page numbers still inside. I've had a go with Sigil, but I'm pretty rubbish at it.

I'm actually more surprised that they aren't including Nicola. She was the companion for nearly all of his TV reign, and a good chunk of his audios, even if many of them were the newly found tales. Hopefully, they'll have her in some way. And, of course, Maggie!

Yeah I read that they wanted to include Nicola but felt that since she was before the Doctor met the Valeyard it wouldn't work. Errr, aren't the adventures set after Flip featuring a Peri post Trial? I'd much rather have had older Peri back for The Last Adventure than Flip.

Maybe she'll make a uncredited spectral cameo at the last second before Six 'dies.' After all, she was 'the first face this face ever saw'...

I suspect the only way to get them lossless is to buy the CD and rip it. Using the smallest amount of space possible and allowing it to be a widely accepted format appears to be the priority rather than a lossless download that takes hours.

I loved that story, in spite of the dark turn in makes in the last act of it. Usually, I'm not a fan of such mood whiplash, but Rob Shearman makes it work brilliantly.

Kamelion gets a bad rap ..it could have been an amazing companion; you didn't have to use the robot at all. you could make him shapeshift into a form that he ..has "saved in his files... and if not for the turbulent coming and goings the storylines could have been quite inventive...--they missed a trick

Could anyone help me with the 5.1 mix of the Dark at the Finish? Tried playing it through the TV (HDMI cable connected to the computer, 5.1 speakers connected to the TV) but all I got was silence. Do I need any audio cables or anything? I also tried burning it to DVD but when I played it through the DVD player all that played was the theme music (an MP3 I used for the menu screen) and no audio for the actual episodes.

The dark at the finsh .mp4 has picture. Not a lot happens, it's mostly the logo, and title credits, but can you see the picture on your TV? If you can't see the picture or hear the sound, then the formats are incompatible.

(older tvs/dvd players have trouble with mp4s.)

Whatever information loss you are getting during burning, won't be lost if you put the files on a "memory stick" and play that straight through your TV, if your tv has a USB port, and if your TV has the right codecs. Different devices and brands have inconsistently different codecs, that a Toshiba might be able to play stuff a Pansonic can't or vices versus, which is no longer true a year later with the next model.

(Playstation 4 they tell me, is going to be able to play MKV files. :) Seriously if you have a Play Station or an XBOX in the house, try using them as a medium too)

Some TVs, through it's USB port you can hook up the multi terabyte hard drives, which really makes DVD players and burning media to dvd seem silly.

Do you have other TV's in the house, you can try out this arduous process of elimination with all over again?

Or you could just go look for the m4b or mp3 version of dark at the finish which you know will work. ;)

If you got picture but no audio and using HDMI, try going to the Volume icon in your system try (by the clock and other persistent icons).
Right-click, select "Playback device" and make sure the TV is selected as the primary device.

If anyone wants some medic 8 stories in flac send me a pm. I've got 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.4 and 4.6-4.10. Will also upload Black Orbs 1 in flac soon. And hopefully Black Orbs 2 when I get it the cds.

Okay, I watched it twice, and while there were some things that are intriguing to me (return of the Emperor Dalek!), others not so much (Not really liking the Medic as a rock star for whatever reason). I dunno, good or bad at times, I still find more to be excited about LC's audios than I do the new series. I've learned to REALLY like PC's Doc, but the show as a whole is missing the magic that gave it the longevity it maintains. Maybe I am just one of those "grumpy old fans", as so many on the interwebs have referred to those who are not as "Wowwed" by NuWho as they are.

On the other hand.. WOW, the last 2 stories in the scarfed Medic's current audio season was DELIGHTFUL! Made me smile and tingle with excitement! And, soooo glad they are using Kay-Nine's original voice to do the little tin dog we all love! Good times indeed!

His version was a 7z. It opens with the free 7-zip programme which also opens RAR files. A handy backup to WINZIP.

Going to have to agree w/you, Guy! I tried the 11th Medic one when it first came out, hoping for a less-silly-but-still-fun Medic; yeah, good luck with that! Then there was the Medic 10's series, which was even more of a disappointment. I thought the IDW series was off, but then, when I saw the UK-based Titan Books was taking up the reins, I had hopes. Sadly, those hopes are dashed, leaving me to turn back to prose, as no one seems to be able to get a Who comic right. *sad face*

I have to ask, as I am only partway through the 2nd (of 6!) episodes into "The Phantom of Sgraltead", part of the PP Presents boxed set from last year. Did anyone else have a bit of rough time with it? While the scarfed Medic and his savage traveling companion are in perfect form, I am just find the story to draaaag. Six episodes seems a hellish demand, esp. when I can't even finish Episode 2. Can anyone advise if it picks up, or should I just move onto "The Clandestine Life Story", featuring the fair-haired Medic who used to play a veterinarian?

I'm only just about to finish the third series of the 4th medic, so I can't tell you about anything of the 4th series yet, sorry. I find I'm agreeing with you on the Brick Niggs front. He always seems to cherry pick things like the series finale. Give it to someone else for a change!

I won't lie, it was a bit of delight to here scarfy with the the tin dog and the savage. But, yeah, as I said to EM, at the end of it all, it was not that good. I need to check out the PDA that D_Stone did, which I have heard was a better attempt of a 2nd Medic and Scarfed Medic teamup-of-sorts.

I listened to all 6 eps in 2 sittings!! Also, I loathe Acker & Blacker's "Unthrilling juvenile Adventure waste of time." And their comics are even worse. (They ruined Jeff Parker's nearly PERFECT Flash Gordon comic. After he left and they took over, my sales went from about 20 copies a month, to 2 copies per month - so I'm not alone.)

So, based on that, maybe I'll love the new 4th med.

I enjoyed the first Hinch Cliff story (I'm still to listen to the second) , and I did listen to it in two sittings - the first episode one night, and the rest another. I think they've got the atmosphere right, everyone sounds as they should, and great recreation of Dudley's type of music. It's just that I thought they could have told it all in four episodes. I thought they handled the six-parters better on TV (for Hinch Cliff's tenure at least, especiallly S33ds of D00m and Claws of Wang-Chung).

"RWQ" means click on Reply with Quote - which reveals the link.

I am unable to PM you a link to Om3g@ F@act0r at present as you have to have made at least four posts, or something like that, before messaging opens up for you.

When making requests it's always good to do so in code, disguising what you want from the internet, but making it clear to others on here what you want - some people think up some amazingly funny riddles at times (your wording was fine).

Please don't ask for so many things at once too. Also, for a new release, don't keep on pestering someone to share, wait for someone to be so gracious to do so.

It would be good to also make contributions yourself from time to time too.

Just some general tips.

Some people will only share for a day or too, sometimes more, so get in quick (this is just to keep things from getting taken down by those we don't want it taken down by)

I've had two takedown notices myself, recently.

Please don't refer to the company as its initials, or its name - we call it LC on here (for Large Conclusions).

Otherwise, welcome.

I've got the DVD set and it's a bloody great series. I've also downloaded all the episodes so I might upload it one day (even though the quality isn't all that great).

Ugh! I got this error when I tried to unpack the mp3 version: "Unexpected end of archive". I dl'd both parts, yet it came up like that. Did anyone else experience that? Was it something I did? Please advise, as this is the first time I have yet to run across that type of error msg.

I was able to unpack everything with no issue. Maybe try re-downloading?
