My favourite animation is Dreamland, I know it's had a lot of stick because of the animation technique but I think that's fine, before that I think that just like LC they were just trying to keep the legend alive and I'm grateful that they tried. I remember watching Queer As Folk with all of it's Who connections and after a couple of drinks shouting at the screen 'if you love it so much then bring it back', I never for a moment imagined he would - but he did!

I have to agree with you about Dreamland too.

If that's best quality, I don't think I'll watch it. It looks terrible even on a 20" monitor. I'm sure many people will disagree but it deserves a DVD release which goes back to the original drawings so it can be mastered in 480p.

The best looking version I've seen is the GWB extract from the Levine version (not released in full.)

Yeah. I'd love to see a DVD release too. Don't know why they haven't done that yet. We all know the Bee Bee Cee loves to milk for profit, so you'd have think they'd have released them all by now.

Just to clarify, I already own the audio CD of DCTT. But there was an MP3-CD released around 2004 (now going for 40 odd online) that featured the animation alongside the audio as a webcast. My question was if the video quality was better than it was in 2001 (according to the documentary with Cry of Sharka, it was 8 kbps with a tiny screen and massive black edges around it!) They did a MP3-CD of Powercut of the Pepperpots too.

Sorry, I thought you were after the audio.
The video on the CD is a straight copy of the webcast.....

It's probably no different because it's the original rm files.

However......the CD did include all the individual images from the rm, which I had a go at enlarging, cleaning up and re-animating, along with the special edition audio track.

I really enjoyed Real Time and was disappointed they never did a follow up - especially as it ended on a cliff hanger.

When we moved from the UK to Australia (back in 1977 - hey, I was only 7) we lost some stuff. But it's a bit different moving interstate than it is overseas.

Good idea that you're going to argue/fight it once your gear arrives - once you've got your stuff, they can't hold it to ransom. All the best with it. Let's hope it all turns up at the soonest possible moment.

okay this is possibly just a friendly reminder to the newer people that have joined us....

September is a big release month ..... for those that upload here and provide links they don't need to be told when something is released this month
there most likely will be something released every 3-4 days

Be patient -- there are those that get the release on 0-day and are able to share it with the rest of us who are either getting a physical release or getting it later.

and when asking for the title try and give a code name or make it obvious that that is what you are asking for without typing it out directly.
and you would do well to check every day since the links will be put up and down rather fast this month due to the wealth of releases....

50 posts asking if every release has been released is going to make it less likely you are goiung to be able to find what you are looking for

Here's to a big September and to the return of the TV show as well..

and a quick run down that also can be found on the LC site is as follows for the next month:

ol Sixie monthly and the constant companion
7 also has a monthly...featuring that new Eastender, and the potatoheads
2 short hops featuring 8, and the edwardian adventuress
and another going back to the first medic, and the pilot and the second teenage girl
2nd medic has the opening of the new ealy medics season
3rd medic has the next box set
The Captain has the new start to the Burning Trees season
and the is a trip down the Yellow Brick Road

It's going to be a busy month [the 8th medic new series will be the month after] and November looks to be even busier

The thing about the War Medic being a grumpy old man is that he was really the baby of the group, and the rest were humouring him, pretending that he was wise and ancient. Which is what happened in the 3 medics and the 5 medics where One was given the most reverence despite barely being out of diapers.

Yeah, it's sometimes easy to forget that things are in reverse whenever the medic meets himself, with the current being the eldest and the ones before being the younger, despite how they look.

Funny, but when you mention the 3 & 5 medics and one being the baby despite being barely out of diapers - Dick Hurndall, the first medic in 5 medics, came to the attention of the producer when he appeared in Bloke's 5+2, looking like he was wearing diapers.

The medics timeline was cauterized on either limit of the time war. Who he was and will be inside the time lock is independent and trapped from 7 and 9's perspective. However the time locks are not infallible, so the War Medic can get out, just like that crazy pepperpot did, and do whatever the hell he wants, even die, and it should have no effect on 9 coming into being becuase his history is secured/locked.

Falling Skies is a massive turd.

Having read the original novel last year, I don't see much reason to listen to FS, despite the awesome cast. Although even Dar Ville is perhaps too old to be playing the protagonist - in the original novel he was a young university student, when he's in his early 30s.

R.I.P. Wes Craven. The original A Nightmare on Elm Street is still one of my favorite horror films. And no, I haven't seen the remake and have no interest in doing so. Robert England will always be Freddy Kruger to me.

Indeed he is. John Hurt is one of the few actors where I'll watch anything he's in, even if it's something that's not usually my thing.
Try sitting through SPECTRE, a Gene Roddenberry produced TV pilot Hurt was in with Robert Culp, and you might change your mind about that. It was beyond horrible.

Yeah, the remake is totally NOT worth it.

Having read the original novel last year, I don't see much reason to listen to FS, despite the awesome cast. Although even Dar Ville is perhaps too old to be playing the protagonist - in the original novel he was a young university student, when he's in his early 30s.

I've read the original novel too (still have it). I do like audio dramas though.

I don't think age should preclude one's ability to play a role, especially on audio.

I have to agree with you.

Well it was an august release. Not a september one. And my request is dated august the 30th. So its actually not on cue at all. I wanted to request it BEFORE this board was bombarded with september releases.

the point of the post was that usually a quick hop to the LC site and you can see if it has been released or not.... and that requested it on this page is pretty useless if it hasn't been released. It take just as much time to check the site as it does typing a request for a 0 day release
Imagine if everyone did that. My point stands it was almost if on cue asking politely that people not do that and you did it ..almost as if on cue

In the YEARS I have been active on this board - Have i ever made an immediate request before? I did check the LC site beforehand, and indeed it was the most recently released LC item. I agree that it would indeed be "pretty useless" to request something that has not been released. Having explained in my first post that i had been busy moving, i wasnt sure just HOW new it was. Nor was i sure if id missed it here, as sometimes i dont recognize a psuedonym cypher that has been employed by our fellow members.

Maybe YOU should check the LC site before retorting so hastily and impolitely, because this item HAS BEEN released (note the past tense). As a long time member who is MORE than familiar with the way things work around here - i was offended by both of your responses. They came across as snide and snarky. Hopefully that was not your intention. I apologize if you were bothered by my request, or by my defenses of my request. Which i feel were not demanding, nor early, nor at all inappropriately timed or worded for this forum.

I thank you for your continued contributions here, and hope that we can communicate civilly in the future. Aka - Cant we just be friends and be nice to one another? I know this is the internet, but i like to feel like this is a community and count the members here as friends that share a common interest. In that spirit, i would like to extend the hand of friendship to you, and hope that we can have fun and interesting discussions in the future. I wish you all the best, no matter what.

Does anyone know if any of the others have been converted into the format (or even PDFs)?

Thanks in advance...

it was a little snarky but the time of your request it had not been released .. it was an observation that requests are made without people checking if they have been released or knowing they have been released and not being patient.... and your response was almost right on cue... it was an observation nothing more.

Thank you. Just the half of an almost apology means a great deal to me. But once again, it HAD been released when i posted that. I know because I had gone to the LC website before coming to the thread. It was pictured on the bottom right hand corner of the page under "latest release". I admit it was almost immediately after it had been released - but I didn't realize that. LC rarely waits till the very last day of the month to put something out. And if you click on the latest release, it will take you to the page listing of the release, which only says released in August. The only place LC website says the exact date of a release is on the "news" page for that release. So please forgive me for being so quick to req. So again, you TOO should look at the LC page before jumping to assumptions. This post was posted at 11 minutes after midnight on (technically) september 1st in the central standard time zone. The UK is a few hours (6) ahead of me so while it was already the 31st there, it was still the 30th for me.

The other reason I know it had been released before my post is because i had forgotten all about it completely, until i saw it listed in the bottom right hand corner under "latest release". Which is what prompted the request originally. Now, if you'll stop implying that i was either mistaken or lying that would be greatly appreciated.

Don't mean to come across as sounding all "butthurt" (as the kids say). But I also believe in standing up for myself and take great umbrage with being accused of lying.

Also, maybe next time you could be a little more polite about your observations? A simple "hey, you said you haven't been on the internet for a few days, so you might not realize that was JUST released, even though it's the LAST day of the month." or something to that effect (perhaps put a bit more succinctly) might be much more befitting of the community we have cultivated here. My response might have then read something like "Oh sorry! Haha, you were just banging on about that. Didn't realise they waited till the last day. No rush, just didn't want to miss it in the slew of upcoming september goodies" And then maybe this page wouldn't be full of this whiny BS i feel compelled to write. Manners can go a long way.

I DO thank you for reading and responding. And truly do wish we can all continue to get along. As one of our more vocal members, I value your input and opinions, and look forward to discussing actual medic stories instead of release dates. Cheers.

Just downloaded and listened to the first part of 'Chaos of 3mp!res' courtesy of the Large Conclusions newsletter. I enjoyed it but feel a bit conflicted about 3rd's impersonated performance - it's a pretty good homage to Jon P, but suffers because I can't help comparing Tim T's voice to the definitive article. but the guy playing the 3rd medic sounds more a a cross between a bad 2nd medic and a really nervous 3rd medic. It took me out of the story every time he spoke

Not as successful when Russsell or Purves does the 1st medic ; or Hines does his 2nd.

One member made a request that as a lot of stuff was coming out, let's not clog the pages up with requests and just let it arrive, very quickly someone made a request and a joke was made about it, I laughed it was funny and the timing made it so. I think the confusion is that the person who uploaded has the audio with the short trips (current range - with each medic's pic on it) cover on it. I got fooled by this with the Cark Donvoy pic a little while ago.

I'm rather mixed on the news. I thought her last appearance was a fitting conclusion to that character's relationship with the medic.

I imagine I am the minority here, but I am kinda excited about RS meeting with PC's Medic for a Christmas outing. I wish the Moff wasn't writing it (he's become as bad as JN-T! He really has outstayed his welcome!), but maybe it will be good. Again, I am probably biased as I find Kalex Ingston to be kinda rawr-ish! In any case, I am more excited by the fact the fact that the Medic's "original" archaeologist companion is going to appear in a 12th Medic novel, making the end of 2015 not so bad! :)

Now, if only the movers would call, and tell me that our belongings are en route! :S

I'm intrigued by the Moff's fascination with death and beating it, RS, Roary, Clarah and Ozgewd all dying and coming back, oh and the Bryg as a siberman, I also wonder if we're heading for another hiatus, PC hinting he might be off soon and Moff having other busy things to look after.

I liked it. I thought perhaps he was a bit clipped or over pronounced. His sentences did not flow quite naturally. But maybe this is a result of him concentrating on the imitation. It may become more natural in time!!

I for one have sorely missed not having 3rd Medic Audio Dramas.

He marries the narrated soundtrack with a stunning amount of carefully sequenced HD snaps and recovered footage. Then touches it up with a small amount of tiny nuanced animations (like making daleks light up appropriately to sequence with their dialogue).

As great as that sounds, unfortunately I cannot stand the narrated soundtracks, even if they are beautifully restored by Aark Myres. The narration I find to be distracting and completely unnecessary if you have a visual reconstruction, which is why I prefer LC's reconstructions with their on screen explanatory text for the visual action. (I have never listened to any of the narrated soundtracks (Except Power, as the recon I have for that is quite poor and includes many things not from the original story, and unfortunately, I have been unable to find a another recon which includes the non-narrated soundtrack) but I suspect that the narration probably actually works with it being purely audio)

I listened to Power last night. I don't mind the narration, if I'm just listening to the audio. I've probably listened to more of the narrated missing stories than I have watched recons and think they've done a great job (though the first efforts, on cassette, weren't as good). I agree that explanatory text should suffice if presenting the story visually, in a reconstruction. It's good that we, at least, have these avenues available to us so that we can get even more of an idea of what these stories were like.

I think that J0hn P33l did a good job with novelising the two Pepperpot 2nd medic stories - they really seem to capture the flavour of the stories.

Huh, Ok. Personally, I find the text at the bottom to be distracting, and the Coose Lannon versions to be poorly worded. But hey, we are all different. Enjoying what we have left of these lost classics is what it's all about. Just so happy we have all these various options available. I remember when 3rd hand LC vhs tapes was (pretty much) all you could get. The newer narrated versions help a few of the scenes make a bit more sense. I think maybe someone at LC did a lot of guessing as to what was supposed to be going on. Where as the narrated release had all sorts of resources for reference available to them. The TB narrated 2ndmedic cassettes are fun as a curiosity though. Especially weird as he narrates them in the 1st person.

Guess I won't bother with any old recon_mission stuff if no one is interested. But I do have copies of those old TB tapes too, if anyone wants that. As for the comics, My missing list is bigger than bladerunner's (sorta) due to a Hard drive death (and the fact that my 4th, 11th, 9th, and 7th are physical copies!) I also have a few comix oddities.
1. Kaled Chronics
2. 6thmed's Voyager and Age of Chaos (I think voyager is included in one of 6's collected volumes.)
3. the magazine's 19th special - which contains 4 10&Jones stories.
4. The complete adv mag comix - as posted here a year or so ago? (892pages!)
5. And the newish American stuff published by "wdi" - Some of which is ok.

Yeah, the first two medics had a very atmospheric look with black & white. I loved the monster era of the 2nd medic. I quite like all the medics really, in there own ways. My most exposure has been to the third and fourth medics - the ABC here in Australia used to show repeats of repeats of them. One of my earliest medic memories are of having nightmares of a huge spider in my room at night (guess I must have caught the 3rd medics swan song when I was four).

I think that, having watched the extras on the DVDs, heard the commentaries and read so much about the show that I really appreciate what went in to making the show throughout the years. Basically performing the first medic stories almost in an as live situation due to not much editing, the great job of the vision mixers, playing in live effects and music. That they ended up with what they did is a marvel.

Thank goodness videos and cassettes have been superseded. But sometimes I think that there's a reliance on technology over good storytelling at times. Oh well, let's see what the new series brings us in a few weeks...

In Aus the DVD range are out of manufacture now, so I don't see us getting this. JB and the ABC have all of them on sale dirt cheap, and there are next to none left. My local one that's normally filled to the brim only has the recently rereleased on the quiet 2 Medics without the S@ville stuff, and one of the revisitations box sets. I'm getting what I have left while I still can. I thought it was bad enough that all of the range released pre-2006ish has been off the shelves for years. Looks like more of us Aussies are going to have to turn to a certain TubeYou rip off for our Classic fix in the future. Unless of course the Auntie lets us all in on what they apparently had in mind for the Classics on DVD that they mentioned on Twitter.

EDIT: Also of note: The new 4th Medic novel still hasn't appeared anywhere that tends to stock the novels here, either. The Short Story Compilation has, though. Maybe the Auntie are preparing for their cuts by reducing their presence world wide? (Does AuntieWW run off the licence fee as well as sales? I can't remember for certain.)

The JB Hi-Fi where I live still has a big heap of medic DVD and Blu-rays, of all eras. There are some really good bargains there (for example the two plastic men stories of the 3rd medic box-set for $16). I have all the DVDs so I don't need to get. I haven't heard anything about them not releasing the Menace from Underwater though.

It's pitiful what we get here in the range of figures, books and CDs. With the ABC winding down their retail stores it's a sad state of affairs. I only have my pension and rely on retail stores for my bargains. I don't have a credit card, or an online debit card. It's only when I manage to scrape the money together to buy a pre-paid visa that I can get anything online. Anyone got a spare $50,000 they don't want?

Cgcj - "Recon_Mission" makes the best telesnap recons. Ive posted about it before. His recon of web was vastly superior to the beeb released one. I will definitely post it up here tonight. (He had to take his down when the beeb released theirs). But he still has many fabulous recons still available on "dailymotion". He marries the narrated soundtrack with a stunning amount of carefully sequenced HD snaps and recovered footage. Then touches it up with a small amount of tiny nuanced animations (like making daleks light up appropriately to sequence with their dialogue).

My only issue is the lack of the Antiquita font used in the show.

There's also a Master's Plan recon on YouTube I recommend, with actual moving pictures rather than just stills.

My local ABC shop seems not to want to go with this trend, it seems to have everything. Sets of the Con Exclusive 5 and Mast3r, Con exclusive holographic 10 (which is odd, as they were a couple of years old and you know, SD Con exclusive) The Battle Medic, and even the Image of the Now Asteroid Belt set. Quite often the books show up even before the official UK release there too, and their DVD section is phenomenal. They even hosted a Medic event in 2012 once, but there wasn't really enough room in that little shop, the whole place was crowded. It must be making up for that period around 2008-09 where there was absolutely nothing there during the year of specials, and when 11 took over it exploded with stuff, but the novels didn't reappear on shelves until 2013, if you wanted them you had to hunt down one of the few remaining Dymocks that weren't now independently owned.

It just looks like now the DVD range is wrapped up, and with Auntie looking to keep its money close to its chest with its impending cuts, they've decided to stop manufacturing them here (lets be honest, they don't really sell enough to justify the insane amounts of DVDs that need to stay in manufacture to sustain the classic range), but obviously the revival stuff is still being made, as those were still plentiful in the shops and sell far more. It makes sense from a business point of view. A large drain of resources that doesn't sell all that well and is also in an overseas (therefore less important as they are a British corporation after all) market? It makes sense to save the money and cut manufacture. At least this isn't like when individual titles go out of manufacture and fade from shelves. One of my favourite stories has been out of manufacture here for years (Curse of F3nr!c), and no one noticed until it couldn't be found in stores.

Oh well, if anyone needs me I'll be getting the two missing stories from 2013 that I've been delaying, considering they were as expensive as a double disc release with special features despite only having the raw episodes (not to mention being out of uniform with the rest of the set :P), and forming a checklist of stories in my library in order to fill in the gaps. Or, I'll probably just end up finishing downloading the refurbished DVD versions of the classics from VK and sorting them into iTunes to form my definitive collection instead (great for making playlists for each Doctor to interweave the audios in). :P

Thank goodness videos and cassettes have been superseded. But sometimes I think that there's a reliance on technology over good storytelling at times. Oh well, let's see what the new series brings us in a few weeks...Actually video cassettes have proven to last a lot longer than the current DVD format. I have VHS tapes that are nearly 30 years old and are still playable. I've already had to replace most of my DVDs a couple of times already because of how easily they get damaged. It's much the same as the argument of vinyl records vs CDs. I prefer the former to the latter because its proven longer lasting. Of course its nigh near impossible to find a good VHS or record player anymore. You find plenty of used ones at second hand stores but their condition is always questionable.

Huh, Ok. Personally, I find the text at the bottom to be distracting, and the Coose Lannon versions to be poorly worded. But hey, we are all different. Enjoying what we have left of these lost classics is what it's all about. Just so happy we have all these various options available.
Speaking of this, since i'm starting to watch recons, what do you think is the best of these available options?

1st medic stories are great, brilliant scripts made up for the early effects although i always think B&W films are more atmospheric.
I remember at school we had a Medic club where medics 1,2 & 3s shows were shown on an old Phillips video player (the 1st video player i think?)
Videos & Cassettes...ahhhh pure nostalgia!!

My first exposure to the H*artnel era was through the H*artnell Years VHS. I was thirteen and his performance blew me away. The man had a presence that just made you sit up and pay attention.

Ahhh I used to love those videos! I first encountered the H@rtnell and Tr0ught0n medics through the 'Cybermen: The Early Years' VHS when I was little. They made such a lasting impression, to this day the black-and-white era Cybermen still unsettle me!

The Reason The Underwater Menace DVD not complete problem is that but the time the DW DVD restoration team were to do it, the main range was finish, they were disbanded and there was NO Budget for the Underwater Menace! : ( That's also why The Enemy Of The World & The Web Of Fear had no Special Features. This was stated in DWM 488 by the Restoration Team. Wonderful article about DW to Home Video part three!I have followed the main classic range from VHS to DVD! Was very sad to hear about the Underwater Menace, especially if you look at the opening animation of The Moonbase were there dress from previous story, really wanted another animated full Troughton Story!

I've got all my VHS, cassettes and records still, still all playable. I have two record players - one a nice little Kenwood number and another which can be used to rip my records. I have a decent enough VHS player/ recorder - though only use it to watch. I know what you mean about DVDs - when they first made the dual layer discs they weren't too good at joining the layers and they had the tendency to separate, leading to what some people called "DVD rot", "layer rot". Though for some unknown problem my DVDs of the original release Star Wars trilogy, the single release with both the original and special edition versions in one pack, now refuses to play or even read the files at all.

I'm always trying to lean to a permanent method with all my media, though they can't seem to make an enduring format. Blu-ray seems quite durable with it's scratch resistant coating, but it's still plastic. Digital can be prone to problems and is reliant on having an internet connection. Also, take for example that we were to lose a digital copy through a HDD failure - say we were to lose our iTunes music. Imagine if Apple went bust and you no longer had the ability to re-download music you'd bought and paid for. That's the kind of thing I don't like about digital. I keep back-ups of back-ups, but I never feel it's enough. HDDs are still prone to failure because of moving parts and the newer SDDs are beyond my price range and are still fairly low on storage space compared to HDDs.

BTW temporal tomato - I'm in WA and we don't seem to get the good stuff that the Eastern States get. Are you still after Curse of F3nric DVD?

Also, am I right in thinking that the two missing stories released in 2013 had reversible covers in the UK? Over here we just had the one cover, the one that doesn't fit in with the rest of the range. The Canine and Company cover was reversible.

I listened to CONFINED IN A POND and IMPERIAL MAYHEM last night. My thoughts....
I preferred the first story over the second, though still think the linking narration was completely unnecessary. Fake Jon did an admirable job as the Third Medic, at some points he really did sound like Twerpee. Manning sounded more like Jo this time, more so than in the recent story with Seven. I don't know if they digitally tweaked her voice or if she was just in good form, but it worked. Not sure if Yates was necessary in either story, he was just kinda there and really didn't serve much purpose. Overall I'd give the package a 7 out of 10. A nice first effort.

2) would any of you good folks have the recent LC Homeworld story in individual tracks (as opposed to one long mp3)?

Took me a while to get used to the new voice and a rare off-kilter performance from KM, but the stories were fine if a bit slow.

BUT. That damn Narration. That was so pointless. Nothing the narrator said was anything we're not used to hearing the cast say/do or having the soundscape tell us.

If they really want to use a Narrator then they should listen to how GraphicAudio do theirs. Far more immersive narration that actually helps the story rather than popping up like an annoying MS Paperclip.

Bugger! Not your fault (you've been super-awesome through this move and even before, so no worries), but the Torrowed Bime looked to be a not-so-good converted PDF-to-EPUB. Ah well, again, no worries, I have other things to read anyway. Was trying to start "The Br@kespeare V0yage" (one of the Faction novels), and it's good, but there is just too much stress going on right now. It's one of those books which requires more attention/focus than a regular novel. Maybe once everything is all settled..

Oh, and just went things couldn't get worse? We were out this morning, in our maybe not even 2 months old Scion, and we get rear-ended! Ugh! Fortunately, it is driveable while the insurance companies duke it out, and no one (us or the gold-toofed accident-causer!) was hurt. But, still, really, how much more?

On a plus note, I am working my way through Series 4 of Lago and Jitefoot (starting the 3rd story of the set). Good stuff! I can't even recall why I stopped after Series 3! Ah well, we all stupid things, right?

Like a lot of people I enjoyed the stories but hated the narration too, so I am doing a narration free edit. I've only done episode 1 of Hav0c so far as it was the free download at 256kbps, if anyone else has a 256kbps version of more of the episodes and could help, please pm me. It works so much better without the narration. Hopefully they will get the message for any future ones they do. It feels like they have only thrown it in so they can justify going back on their recasting decision saying "we haven't recast, he's the narrator who happens to do the Third Doctor".

My main issue was the complete half-hearted and in-consistent nature of it. If they're going to use one they've proved that the in-character narration of the CC format works well, so why move to a third-party voice?

I think if they're going to go down the narrator route then they should follow the GraphicAudio route for more immersive narration.

I am also hoping to fill the gaps in my collection of Large Conclusions scripts. I think that every Monthly Medic from number 120 onwards has had the script available with the download? I am looking for the following Monthly Medic scripts to plug the gaps, if any kind person could help...

Numbers:
132
142
143
144
145
149
153 - 183 inclusive

Thank you so much in advance :)

I don't have a single issue with the narration.

EDIT:

Ville de la mort et Le massacre de la Saint-Barthlemy now on ABB, within a week of me caving in and buying the latter. Now waiting to see if Natural Humanity or Dos Mdicos turn up or if it takes three months. Supreme Insect's Lair is up too.

So, it would appear we are *still* waiting for our furniture and assorted goods to arrive. Hopefully sometime next week. Then, there's the job situation: my wife has found one (thank God!), starts working on Tuesday. Me? I have application out there, just no answers as yet. :(This whole affair is playing hell with my depression - making it difficult to keep it at bay! Thank God for you guys and LC!

Two Requests:

1. Still looking for an individual tracks version of the recent Homeworld story: 1nt3rven+ion E@rf. Doesn't have to be mp3, could be flac, if that's all you have.

2. An individual tracks version of the the first 'Planets of the Medic' boxed set.

*hopeful*

A month old, but I am old and slow.

medic comicon panel.

Just type "2015 comic con panel" into youtube's search engine, and there's about 9 hours of panels worth watching, if you like all the new crap they're making in America.

Yeah. The "gaps" they've managed to get around in all the other Full Cast stories over the last 202 monthly releases ...

Have to agree - did not see the point of the narration at all, especially as the Brig wasn't in most scenes! I didn't hate it, just didn't see why it was necessary...

As for the "new" 3rd Medic, not too bad, but very obviously not JP, either. Also, way too young sounding. Very good with the inflections, though! All in all, while he gave a very good performance and was nice to listen to, put him next to the 'real' Three and he's as convincing as Petey Purvurt's 1st Medic - ie: not very much at all. That said, I'd happily hear more, if they cut back on/ dump the narration, and get a better performance from Jo (what was going on there?? KM's usually extremely good, but she really seemed forced & was over-playing on this!)...

now this is the sort of hint that is acceptable.....as it wasn't scheduled and for all we knew the 12 set was the last of the Bloke's

anyone know what to make of the cryptic release wording? A new era post Gauda?

“2016 will mark the start of a brand new era for Bloke's at LC ” says producer . “We’ll see new missions, intriguing new characters and the return of some real fan favourites."

Or will this be a reboot?

When a story is just an hour, it's quick to d/l from the site and u/p. Usually ten minutes for each. Now, when we get to the two hour stories, that's a different story.

I hope it's a continuation of the Rebel's Re-birth. I've listened to that release so many times. It depresses me that we didn't get a second series. If you read the booklet that comes with the release, the second series looked like it might have been great.

yeah i'm thinking that as well... but i really did enjoy the classic cast for the Sets and the 2 series [although Bloke himself sounds nothing like he used to] Paul is always amazing though.

Shame it would just get too confusing for them to do both as, like you, I'd love to hear the 'Reborn' series completed properly.

Yeah, I agree. I re-watched the Bloke series. When I got to between series B and C, I listened to Battleboat to see if it slotted in nicely. It did, but Bloke's voice was almost entirely different. The others sounded like they did back in the seventies. Paul's voice wasn't as high pitched as it once was, but it was close enough.

there are at times where i am really confused where the Chricles fit in... where it is pretty obvious where the regular releases go

Agreed. The actor is still one of the best LC ever get in, but his voice is now that of Grumpy General,Sly Scientist or Rogering Reverend. Age has taken the lightness from his voice for that role, which is a shame.

Yeah. I was listening to a medic audio the other night and it wasn't until I listened to the extras that I knew he was in it - it is such a shame when it comes to Blokes 6+1 as the others still sound so recognizable. He is such a great actor as you say.

That's totally understandable, but one of the things I love about my copy of Foxit reader (as opposed to Adobe Reader) is that it has a delete objects tool which I once used to nuke the watermarks from my files and really annoying bright blue backgrounds on lecture slides. Not really related to DW stuff though. :3
