I have the books & most of the comics from down the years but not much else- Iam def happy to share but dont feel that I have enough for its own Fred! - If others leave further comments confirming they have BSG or B5 stuff to share then it'll be worth it .... if not I'm happy to pass on what I have anyway

Jezz you are one top person! Two missing files in one evening is like manna from heaven!
As I have said before, EVERYONE who helps us out needs to be given a bloody medal! I stopped at 110 due to money probs, and have managed to get one or two items from other sites, but this is by far the most helpful and friendly place I've been to in many long years searching for like minded people. As regarding the lack of chapter points in some files, I actually quite enjoy the challenge of making my own in AudioCleaning Lab! Yeah, it takes a little time to do it, but, as the files are uploaded with the best of intent, I for one am not complaining!

As For Me I am just ver grateful that I can get it in any format! I Play all my audio stuff on My Free to download & use I tunes Media player, It plays M4bs & Mp3s Fantastically, Which I Use as my default player, at also plays downloaded U Tube and other videos! so I would Highly recommend that you get it! an alternate good player is VLC Media player, which is also free! Hope this helps!

Have been sharing many things Doctor Who for long time...of course I know and have VLC and use Itunes and WMP. Used to convert and pull m4b's apart also, but dont have the time and thats the sole reason why I asked if that was an option. But if you all want a statue for him beyond my thanks as seen in post #4109, I will chip in cause I am far from ungrateful for his uploads as you lot now act.

I've been going back over the thread and noticed how many links from even a few months back are now no longer active. Even stuff that was heavily coded so as not to attract search engines. I wonder if it's worth setting up a second, off site back up thread. Somewhere we could all head too should anything ever happen to this one. A Doghouse if you will (reference for any Spooks fans!)

I'm ok with M4Bs as a format, but just wish that Bee-Eff would separate out the Extras/Trailers/Music from the actual story.

What extractor are you using? Nearly all modern extractors should be able to handle multipart files like that as long as they're all in the same directory. Just select the main .rar/.zip/.7z file and you should (!) be fine.

If you're OK with discovering all the wonders of Usenet they all of those have been posted recently.

If you have 7-zip then they may show up as unrecognizable to your computer. Right click on the first part and choose select program from list, and then 7-zip. Then extract, you don't really need to worry about the second file because it automatically extracts with the first one.

I had been using WinRAR, but then downloaded the wrong version of 7zip (clicked the first link on google which was an advert version it seemed, which is why it probably didn't work also) so now downloading the correct one, hopefully this should work

EDIT - And it works now. I did have the right version of 7-zip but it had an additional part for adverts (which i said no to and am now virus scanning just in case), and i forgot that you need both parts to get the file to unzip :P

I Discovered last night, That my free Zip Genius was also able to open 7 Zip as well as Zips & RARS when I opened one that I downloaded last night! Hope this helps!

Just wanted to add that winzip can't handle these files either. I can also confirm from seeing these in the past that tinkering with the file names won't help. 7z does a perfect job with them.

I used hjsplit first to join the files, and then winrar to extract

7-Zip is how you can extract the files, folks. People have mentioned it a few times already in this thread. When you see .7z as an extension, that's what you use.

This month's releases were like Christmas in the way that it was all at once!

I'd also like to point out that if you like m4b files you can convert using:

www.lodensoftware.com/chapter-and-verse/

although I'd recommend mass converting to m4a first using itunes.

Or you can just use dBpoweramp, which converts just about everything (including .m4b) in excellent quality.

No probs here. Haven't used 7-zip for a long while, but it's easy to make folders with title name, open 7-zip, find which drive you want and choose which file to extract to. Thanks...

-are you only trying to open the first one? (if they're both in the same place that should collate all the files)
-are you using a program that can unzip 7zip archives?

Ill put up some new links as soon as my computer gets back from the shop. I was able to check on the account I made specifically for last months releases using my iPad which is how I'm typing this and the whole thing has been taken down. As a lurker for a couple of weeks now, I'm glad to be able to finally be able to give something back. I'd like to present to you the third set of boxes from our favorite female prof. of lost civilizations.

(And I scoured through the whole thing at least three times with a fine toothed comb...if they are in there, they are very much disguised.) It's quite possible that that's all that is available, however I still hold high hopes that there are more out there. If anyone has any of the other digital manuscripts (the ones that I'm searching for are hidden under the spoilers below) I would love to be able to complete my collection. With luck, I should hopefully have a complete collection (minus two physical manuscripts) of both digital and physical copies of each book by the end of this year. *fingers crossed*

Something Changed, Parallel Lives, Missing Adventures, Vampire's Curse, Secret Histories, and Present Danger.

Um, LoS isn't a broken file. I just downloaded it to check. Sometimes if you're doing a lot of downloading, a file will corrupt, but if you try again, it will download just fine.

If it still does not work, you could try the 4shared link (which did not work very good during my tests - which is why I changed to 2shared after uploading it there):

As for a different hoster, i use rapidshare. Free account and it stores files for 30 days after the last download. Ive used it for years without any problems, also if you use rapid8 you can access premium download speeds free

i click on the one indicated by the red arrow that i've drawn in. works for me. if it doesn't work for you, i'd suggest not using Internet Explorer. it doesn't keep up with internet standards and so takes a lot more trouble to make websites work on it, so quite a few web designers just don't bother.

Yeah, nobody in their right mind uses Internet Explorer anymore. It's a ghastly little trojan and virus magnet. I didn't realize there were still people out there using it. It became worthless and superseded by safer browsers at least a decade ago.

Ive now decided that since i`m nearly 40 years old i more than likely had half my life, and i`m not going to waste the other half on that poxy site. Anybody been able to find a downloadable copy of "DW in the U.S." that aired on BBCA? It had interviews from both the Moffat crew as well as Tennant, Barrowman, etc...? Sadly, I wasn't even aware of it until I spotted Tennant talking and I only got to see the tail end of it. So far that's the BBCA special that has failed to show up on the Net.
