It appears the link on ABB is dead, and my other usual sources are coming up empty. Does anyone have it uploaded, or know of somewhere I can look? Wish I had the $20 to just dl the set from LC. DG is usually worth it.

I appreciate the concern. :) I'm better than I was back then, but still got a ways to go. Last year I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called sarcoidosis that's badly affecting my lungs, and impairing my ability to do... well, just about everything. Meds are helping keep me out of the hospital and off an oxygen tank, but it's going to be at least another few years before this thing burns itself out of my system and I can function normally again.

Just sent you a PM.

And thank you very much for that! Damian and I are both really looking forward to it. :)

I have a question for the most recently active in this thread:

Are there still download links going on or has this turned into a discussion thread?
I went as far back as about 5 or 7 pages and have yet to find any download links present.

The thread generally peaks release-wise around the days that new stuff is released, which given the shear amount of stuff done these days (and the other ranges) leans towards a big spike followed by a few weeks of natter and specific request fulfilment where available.

It's an odd format, yeah, but one that does seem to work for us.

Links tend to appear of the most current audios a day or two after they are released (thanks to the kindness of people who buy them).
But they only tend to stay active for a couple of days as we've had problems with them being reported and taken down.

Look for people posting RWQ (Reply with quote) - and then press the the "Reply with Quote" button and the links will become visible. (This is another way of hiding them from searches).
The titles are often a little disguised though.
(there's actually a link two post above yours for the DW Maaagaaziine Specialles)

If there is anything you especially want then ask politely for it and someone often will upload it for you.
Try not to ask for something that's been released in the last week or so though. The release will find it's on here eventually and asking for it so soon can seem a little demanding.

Intersting.

With permission of OP (Amanda),

if you guys compile a list of titles and links (and the post where to find them),
I can edit them into the first post so that new users can show up and find things more easily.
Active links most likely.

In the event new releases come out or re-ups are made, you can PM me (I don't get flooded with PM's) and I can edit the first post as needed.

That way this thread appears to be an actual thread for downloads.
It works for you guys, because you guys have been here since its inception.
However, it's a public forum so new people will arrive but won't have the patience to click through the entire thread.

A massive index would be greatly benificial to those who wish to find the music.
I have no problem copying/pasting into the first post to make things easier for all.

Please consider it.

Organization. Files get pulled regardless.
Even encrypted and obfusticated namefiles have no protection.
It's perfectly feasible as many others here have indexed threads.

The largest point I'm making is that this is a download section of the forum where there is a perfectly healthy TV/Movie discussion section of the forum.

Someone with more context.

I should have introduced myself as a new moderator for this section of the forum.
I just wanted to make sure discussion threads get moved to the appropriate place.
I've also been informed that the labels for Dr Who are more efficient than VS.

So, since the nature of this thread is to be riddled with links, I could modify the first post to include this quote for future reference to new members:

But it's late here in the UK, nearly 1am, so this poster really must call it a day soon but all I can say is that bar that little blip last year I linked to we've had a nice little thread that's somehow managed to keep it's own community that's generally having a good little time.

To quote Sanico from here - http://forums.ffshrine.org/f92/doctor-who-audio-drama-thread-85235/423.html#post2562408

Although it turned out good and a community was developed, I just want it to feel like it's an open community for new people.
I won't press much any further, unless a fight breaks out or there is blatant disrespect.

But, I will add that quote about requesting things to the first post for posterity that new members may know how to approach this thread.

After that, I won't bother unless required.
So far, it seems there shouldn't be any troubles here.

Updating original post now.

EDIT: Ah, it has been done.
Very well. Good luck to all and encourage as many new members as possible. :)

Yeah, it seems we've had a few people new lately, which is good, and every attempt is made to make people feel welcome and aware of how things work.

About the only thing that cheeses people off is when someone just rocks up and is all about demanding this and that audio, which especially hurts those who regularly contribute - after all, it's not fair if they are the only ones to do so.

Thanks for introducing yourself and updating the original post.

BTW, I don't usually take my uploads down, so my links are usually valid, if one were to search through.

with that in mind i wouldn't mind in the future have the series split but more like 2 episodes in the spring / 10 in the autumn and the Christmas episode....

If the boxset is called Dim Peepers, then it should be about Molly. Molly is barely in the third one, and if it hadn't been for the awards won by the last two Dim Peepers, then hey should probably would have retitled the new chapters in the series.

Sparktank.

There is no library of active links in this thread any more.

There has been, but they are all gone now.

Bad people read this thread who do not believe in illegal shares. Now this might be unpaid interns in a law office working for Large Conclusions, robots, or even social justice warriors trying to teach decency to filth like us. Point is, if enough of our links are flagged, our entire account gets locked and deleted. It was a long time ago, but it happened to a few people in short order, who lost a lot of information, so we changed how we did things. The real problem is that Large Conclusions is on the ball and gives a shit, and tries to jump up and down on people stealing from them, unlike the rest of the industrial super complex who does not seem to care much about being fleeced. One of our defenses against flaghappy readers intent on whackamoling our links 5 minutes after they are posted is to talk endlessly about nothing for days so that we can bore them to death before they have to actually do something.

Imagine if you will, that there is a lawyer being paid 400 pounds an hour to read the drivel I write, and the genius prose you write.

I, too, will have to agree w/Nobber and EM. The series overall was okay. Medic 8 is my favorite Medic, but I felt that by the final boxed set, it just was not fulfilling as intended. The 2nd Set was prob. my favorite of the lot. Shame, too, b/c Fatt Mitton is one of my favorite LC writers.

this probably why they are onto the next "series" of set Doom Colalition

i tend to think 8 th medic box sets are the transition from classic style episodes to nuwho style

the Dim peepers label if like one whole series of Nuwho

9th medic would be called Bad Wolf
10 medic 1 would be called Torchwood
10 medic 2 would be called Saxon
10 medic 3 would be called Children of Time ...or something like that

To new mods

Completely unnecessary.
Everyone is well aware of the fragile state of links being visible and tracked.
I've concluded my business in this thread already.

So no one needs to address me publicly in this thread.
If you have anything to say, send me a PM.
Talk normally in this thread but do not address me any further.
Talking about moderating and other things not directly related to the thread music (DR WHO, not the nature of DR WHO links) is off-topic.
The more one person says anything it will provoke many more to talk needlessly.
Only one person need say anything and it's been said already.
So please continue as normal and leave opinions about moderation out of it.

This is the last time I visit this thread unless something is reported (via the report button) or PMed directly to me.
But, please, keep things on-topic.

You guys are on your own now.

I'm only here to point out that those extensions can rejoin files using something like 7-zip or WinRAR.

JDownloader assembles and extracts them automatically (when downloading).

if 7zip or WinRAR don't work, you can use HJsplit to assemble.

Read more here:
https://www.binaries4all.com/001/

The earlier post about extensions peaked my interest.

First try 7-zip.
7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/)

PS: don't change file extensions. it'll break operations.

Not really accusing anyone of anything here but I used to come here under a different name Lazarus Partridge, couldn't remember my password one day and had lost access to my previous email address so here I am.

I shared quite a lot back then, was never hugely prolific but when I could I did - which for a few months was monthly, maybe not every range but what was maybe missing.

Anyway for me the posts that simply reminded people that something had been released always seemed like veiled asks for the download - almost like 'go and buy this now and then give it to me'.

The people who share regularly are well aware when things get released - nobody forgets. I didn't when I had the money to get them all. Now that I am almost perpetually skint I tend to check the forums when I know things have been released as I know that they'll pop up when they do.

However, as I say, I thought they were unnecessary posts myself - but that's just opinion and perspective from someone who did share when his bank account was healthier, not a criticism of anyone.

However, as I say, I thought they were unnecessary posts myself - but that's just opinion and perspective from someone who did share when his bank account was healthier, not a criticism of anyone.

Right. Well, I apologise for the way it sounded. Please, no pressure, kind uploaders. Don't let a pleb like me dictate your own timeframe.

You thought that bringing Danny Bonaduce back from Hell was a good idea?

I had to look that up as I had no idea who Danny Bonaduce was - no, my name was based on my desire to create a Christmas themed bird that you didn't have to feed from January to November

But those fools at the institute were too narrow minded, my zombie milkmaids were also scorned.

<Fans of the original S&S know that time has a way of repeating itself. Starring Joanna Lumley and David McCallum as time travelling agents, the 1970s sci-fi specialised in looping, dense plots that – handily – didn’t cost very much money. And now it’s looking like it's coming back, courtesy of Luther creator Neil Cross. “I’m planning to – it looks like I’m going to – relaunch S&S,” Cross told the Nerdist Writers’ panel podcast, explaining it’s “a late ‘70s science fiction horror show that was incredibly low budget, where the enemy is time itself. There’s ghost stories and monster stories and time is the villain.” Cross, who has also written for The Medic, called the titular duo a ‘proto Mulder and Scully’, and claimed "there's a broadcaster in the UK that's very, very keen to do it.">[/QUOTE]

As per post one on the front of the thread - give it a week or so otherwise folks will think you too needy/grabby and might take a little umbrage. These things do cost people money, you know.

Precisely what I was reminding numbuh777.

My comment that "I'd just noticed that too" was because I was online looking for something for someone, and I had just noticed that before I came on here and saw someone comment to that effect.

Couple of things:

If anyone wants the mp3s of commentaries for S1 let me know as I'll be deleting these from my hard drive soon as I'm almost done with my rewatch. But if you want S2 you'll have to wait until 2016... although I may be doing a Firetree rewatch soon too.

Any tips for listening to 5.1 50th Torch @ the Finale? Tried encoding to DVD but all I got was radio silence in playback - I have a HDMI cable set up to the TV but again I get silence from that (I have a 5.1 system set up btw, although I haven't really used it in a while) - any audio cables I need to add? I don't have a problem with standard online video playback through the TV.

I've been researching some of the OOP unofficial DW VHS/DVD documentaries - NB: In the Footsteps of the 2 Medics, Grace Ashbrooke in Britain and others (plus Real Time ones I can get from Video e.g. Myth Makers, Who on the World is Scarfed Medic, Cosmic Hobo in US, K9 Unleashed etc.) and was wondering a) which are worth checking out and b) does anyone have copies of these (not the Real Time ones or Cultish Convos though as these are still in print.) I'd also be interested in some of CCW's bonus content (having already watched the films themselves) -

Airzone
Commentary / Outtakes / Deleted Scenes / Interviews / BTS footage
Strange Shadows
Making of / Interviews ft. Bolin Caker/P&J Baker
Strange Messiah
Making of / Interviews ft. Dave Peters/Mack's Strict Son
Strange Fiction 1 / 2 / 3
0 Imperative - Deleted Scene

Also does someone have a HQ quality version of the ANIMATED DCTT? The MP3-CD is going for crazy prices and the one on EverydayWalking is very poor quality.

Anyone have the interviews on Trumpets for the Beetles? Heard it on the radio a while back so haven't heard the supplemental content.

Oh and my list of releases to hunt down currently stands at -
Missing Eps interviews
Larry Betts 'Oho Und Betts'
DW @ BBC
Project Oho
Slaughter of Bart's Evening AB
Le Sensor Ites AB
Gunshooters AB
Rescuing AB
Tara's Robots AB
Heavenly Skyscrapers AB
Claws of Small-Chinese Man AB
Two Problems AB
Relaxation Nest AB

I know I've mentioned some of these before but just in case

Oh and can anyone recommend Medic Alpha AB (ft. Jonathan Guile)? Considering purchasing this soon.

Think its just a matter of there being TWO quickfalls series currently running. One for everyone and one thats sub only. It me confused me thoroughly for a while. And also makes the continued numbering of these rather difficult. Wikipedia cleared it up for me. However i dont know what "halt that Antarctic bird" should be numbered at. Currently working on my own numbering of all of these based on actual release date, in order to make my personal collection a bit more manageable. Unless someone else has a good chunk of time on their hands and wants to do all the appropriate cross referencing.

Why does everyone think it's Susan? I personally cannot see it being her in any way. If we are ever to get Susan returning in the TV series, I can only see it being disappointing, as it would likely contradict or ignore her return in the Eighth Doctor audio adventures, which is not something that I'd like to have simply made 'non-canonical' by the TV series although it has already been made 'canonical' by Night of the Doctor, with the Doctor mentioning Tamsin and Lucie. Also, I don't think it's Susan as she'd never call the Doctor "old man" and would greet him as "Grandfather".

Isn't that the Game of Thrones women who is apparently in both The Girl Who Died and The Girl Who Lived a two part story which has both parts set in different times but somehow connected? I think that it's simply from the second part with the Doctor returning to the character.

I'm going to have to close my eyes at this thread because I don't watch trailers.

Well, that's a lie - I watch trailers for films I'm unsure about (Jurassic World, Terminator Genisys, Fantastic Four because the entire internet was shitting on it for silly reasons, Ant-Man because what happened to Edgar Wright, etc.), but there is no doubt I will watch the next series of DW, so why bother? I was livid when the episode titles were announced and the Mistress holding an apple appeared on social media. Same with the returning species and military woman too. And the costume. And series format.

Thankfully S8 was mostly a surprise. I went into some episodes without even knowing a specific person was writing it. Of course it did lead to disappointing episodes too.

Sorry bout the hiatus there. I've been bit busy. Seeing how this is a sparse month for releases, and how slow it's been on this thread, figured ya'll might need more of these. (5&6ofsja!!!)

Personally, I've never given "opposing amounts" (or whatever other silly moniker we're using for the new setbox) a chance. I just couldn't see why. I'm not into military stuff, and none of those characters resonated with me. (or were even that memorable - hell i can barely remember which Kaled story they're from, the one with the time corridor?) Is it any good? They seem to keep making them.

It's good news for me cause it means i can catch up on physical books, comics, ebooks, and some of the miscellaneous medic readings&stories that i fell asleep during. Which is why i prefer the seperate tracks method, preferably with clear divisions. It's a bit more difficult to manage. But much easier not to lose your place, and easier to find a nice distinct memorable stopping point.

Anywho...here ya'll go. RWQ

I quite like CM actually. I wouldn't say it's overtly military. It really harks back to 60's shows like Department S, Avengers - shows of those ilk (Which I love) . But, maybe it's just me?!

Just turning left for a second...

But I tried to watch Sense8 last night - got half way through the first epsiode and gave up (I was tired).

Can anyone on here, who's watched them all make a compelling case for giving it another go, or was my first instinct right? (bear in mind I did the same thing to the Game of Thrones pilot, and fortunately gave that a second chance...)

You can skip Sense8.

Episode one is very flashy and in your face.

Trying too hard.

Further along, it's less explosive sex, except when it isn't.

Haven't tried it yet, but I've heard it gets better as it goes along. However, guy seems to disagree, so, maybe don't bother and watch Daredevil or Kimmy Schmidt (again?) instead...

Loved Daredevil - in fact tried Sense8 to fill the gap it left. But haven't tried Kimmy Schmidt yet, so maybe that's the one. I'm not hearing, reading anything online that says Sense8 is a must see, and yet, the Wachowski's and JMS is an interesting pairing....

The second season of The Strain is almost upon us.

Pushing Daises or Dead Like Me are shows you might have missed when you were younger.

Other Space is an 8 episode sitcom on a spaceship that came out on yahoo 3 months ago.

Plenty of stuff out there. :)

Although if you like super weird, Bevis and Butthead meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer, try Todd and the Book of Pure Evil.

If you can make it through the tricky first introductary episode it soon picks up. And if you can make it through the following three you'll find a rich and rewarding series that celebrates human diversity and indominatabilty. It's the kind of show the Doctor would enjoy! At the end it's everything that "Heroes" hoped to be.

Nah. Based on The Moff's past history, I think it's a bluff.

The Moff had said literally nothing about the identity of the character so he's not bluffing at all. If anything, fandom is bluffing themselves. My less interesting theory is that she is in two interconnected stories and this scene is from the second one. The reason that scene was chosen for the trailer? The GoT connection and they wanted a line where 12 echoes the sentiments of the viewers ie "you?"

Honestly, I thought Sense8 was one of the best shows to come along in a long time. Most of my friends who've watched it agree.

But it's a definite slow burner that takes time to really get compelling as you get to know the characters better. I'd say it really kicks into high gear in episode 4 and even more so in episode 6.

It reminds me a lot of Lost in that it's really a show about these characters as much as the ongoing mysteries and story arcs. But it has probably the most diverse set of characters of any show I've ever seen. Characters have always been one of JMS's biggest strengths, and he goes all out here. You've got a Korean kung fu fighting woman in a family of bankers, an Indian woman set to marry a man she doesn't love, a closeted gay Mexican action move actor with a public girlfriend, a Chicago cop from a police family, a German safecracker, an Icelandic woman DJ living in London, a trans woman hacktivist from San Francisco (whose awesome lesbian lover is played by Freema Agyeman) and an African bus driver who gets mixed up with a druglord to pay for his mother's AIDS drugs.

Some of these storylines work better than others, but they're all interesting and pretty different from anything else on television.

At times, the show had me laughing, crying and yelling in triumph -- sometimes in the same scene. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Not sure I'd ever go as far as 'awesome' but I think it's certainly better than it's given credit for. My major critique is that, really, nothing ever changed. Big red reset button. By the end of S3 Voyager should have been a battered hulk and the crew looking for a ship they could take-over.

And there should have been at least two 'civil-wars' between the two crews.

Couldn't stand it then, still not a big fan. Although I love DS9, so what do I know?? ;)

ST:V started well, but by the time they stole Neelix's lungs (pretty early on), that was the last straw for me. Sure, I watched 'em all, but just didn't think much of it. And, sorry jlatx, but the crew was one of the reasons, especially Katherine "Squeaky Voice" Janeway (although, most people liked the Doc - and, for obvious reasons, Seven-of-Nine...). And the last episode was disappointing - but not as insulting as Enterprise's...

So I don't know if this has been discussed, but Big Finish is finally doing several proper series featuring characters from the contemporary series of Doctor Who, including River Song, Kate Lethbridge-Stewart and Osgood of UNIT, and Ian MacNiece as Winston Churchill (as portrayed by himself on Doctor Who), as well as a series where classic era Doctors encounter monsters and aliens created for the contemporary series, such as the Weeping Angels, the Judoon, and the Sycorax. (I'm skeptical as to how well the Weeping Angels would work in an audio drama, being a monster whose scare factor is so dependent on their visual presence. But if the writers at Big Finish can pull it off, more power to them.) Overall, I'm excited about this. Because whether you like the particular characters they've chosen to give series to or not, this seems to indicate we're another step closer to having Big Finish series featuring the Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Doctors, and even possibly the War Doctor. I admit we're probably more likely to see series featuring the latter three than number Nine. I'm sure they could persuade David Tennant to reprise the role if they had the right scripts, especially since he's worked for Big Finish before. Matt Smith might be more reluctant since he gave up the role more recently, but I bet they could get him in the end. Eccleston is the only one I'm not sure about, as he's been the most reluctant to return to the world of Doctor Who. I hope eventually he'll change his mind, maybe in time for the 60th anniversary, he'll figure what the hell, even Tom Baker came back eventually. But it'll still probably take awhile for him to come around.

Also, I'm not including Capaldi in this because I kinda doubt the BBC would allow Big Finish to use him while he's still actively playing the Doctor on TV. But I could be wrong. anyway, sorry to ramble like this.

I think you're being a bit over-cautious here E.M. General names and places must be mentioned hundreds (or thousands) of times every day on various sites around the net. I think the only things we need to obscure are things specific to LC - such as titles and series name. Mentioning actors and so on will be looking for a needle in a haystack.

I've come to the realization that the only Medic theme I hate more than 12's is the 8 Medic theme that was used for the three stories featuring Miss Shelley. It's too loud, completely obnoxious, and just plain bad.

I quite liked ST:Voyager. The first three seasons were hit or miss, but once the Borg were introduced the series picked up steam. I certainly would rather watch re-runs of Voyager over Enterprise. That show was absolutely terrible. Not even the hotness of Blalock or Parks could redeem it.

That probably says something, but I'm not sure what. I never really liked the bridge of the Enterprise-D (or the Enterprise-D itself for that matter) . Too bright. Too much open space. It always felt wrong somehow. I always wished, after the alternate bridge with more consoles was introduced in Yesterday's Enterprise, that they'd redesign the set to look more like that one....but we had to wait until Generations to see it again.

The Enterprise D was designed and built during an era of peace when new wars were not conceivable.

What Yesterdays Enterprise taught us, is that making room for the Officer's "families" was really about space holding for more torpedoes and more ground troups than it was politically inconvenient to admit to carrying.

Slightly off topic... Medic author Paaul Maaars has a spin-off series called Brennndaa & Effffie, which was on Radio 4 in 1998 as a short story "Neever the Briide" and then expanded into a three part radio drama in 2008 (note, these are not the recent audio books).

Does anyone have these R4 programs or knows of where to search - alas they are no longer on eye-player and google searches come up empty - I'd happily buy them if I could but I don't think they are/were ever on sale.

What would you all suggest as the funniest (light hearted) medic audio stories? I just got some really bad news and I am in desperate need of distraction right now.

Well, for Medic 5, I've always liked 127, 146, 196. Medic 7: 39, 106.

Thank you for the well wishes Exterminate Me and Looshkin, very kind of you. I really hope things will start looking up too, but it's pretty clear it will be a bit of journey and I'm going to have to fight for it, though hopefully not as long or hard as many others have had to. My chances of winning look pretty good right now, especially good because I'm young, but I'm just a little scared.

Having some good stories will definitely help keep my mood up! I think I already have a few of the ones suggested, and I know where I can get most of the others, but is d*o*i*n*g t*i*m*e an audio story? I can't seem to find it. Thanks again!

Doing Time is a part of a Brief Journey (Doing Time (short story) - Tardis Data Core, the Doctor Who Wiki (http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Doing_Time_(short_story)))

I've been through a horror few years and I'm still here. As long as you have a loving support network, you keep fighting and give things time, you'll get there. To pass that time surround yourself with lots of things that you like - see how many audio stories you can listen to etc. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

As far as I'm aware, Never the Bride was the only one the Beeb did, but they didn't even do the whole thing, from memory, and left it on a cliffhanger! It was very good, but frustrating...

The three that immediately popped into my head were:
- Medic and the Pirates (especially as it mixes a lot of humor with an underlying set of bad news - I thought it would help our friend here, by proxy)

- The One Medic

- Monarch-Maker (some real laughs in that one)

Many 4th Medic stories - not because they're especially funny, but because Bom Taker just MAKES them hilarious.

Best wishes, Esgal.

Thanks, I've started listening to m*a*x w*a*r*p this evening, loving it so far. I'll save some of the other suggestions for bad days, they'll come in handy. :)
One of my fave Eighth Medic audios, that one. It's a wonderful piss-take of Top Gear, but it does make me wonder if Jonathan Morris really had it out for the show at times. Also, Graeme Garden was especially good as not-Jeremy Clarkston. However, I will admit that scene where Eight and Lucie are trapped on a crashing ship that turns out to be a simulation is a bit uncomfortable to listen to in light of how both of them met their end...

Am guessing it was the original 1998 one-parter that was unfinished (as looshkin suggests) and it was the three episode 2008 version that was finally completed.

Alas both seem lost to history (for now at least)...

Still, as both Paaanda and M.I.A.O.W. (of Eyeris fame) are mentioned throughout the books I'm guessing these plays will come to light in DW fandom at some point (or if the beeb do keep an eye on this forum - please release them)

It was the 3 episode one I'm sure I heard (it was a looong time ago!), which became the first part of "Conjugal Rites". It felt unfinished to me (but yes, it was very good!), but that's just my memory...

Quotes from a fan page (The Iris Wildthyme News Pages (http://tinyurl.com/qy283dc)) follow...

"Sadly the BBC have said, by email, that whilst the three Never the Bride BBC7 plays were warmly received they have no current plans to commission any more

Making up the first section of a now completed third Brenda novel, the plays were narrated in the first person by the character of Brenda, as played by the actress Joanna Tope (who also read that first Radio 4 story).".

Also starring Gareth Thomas of Blakes 7 fame it's a very funny story and highgly recommended listening. Hopefully a BBC CD release will follow in due course."

*****************

"The third Brenda and Effie novel Conjugal Rites is now available for pre-order from the usual suspects. Comprising some of the events from the recent BBC7 radio series 'Never the Bride' plus approximately another medium-sized book's worth of totally new material, 'Conjugal Rites' is released in November in hardback, and next March in paperback."

That's all I got - I didn't even know there were two versions!

And now back to Medic What!! ;)

Yeah. Honestly, I hadn't thought about it either til I started reading the TV Tropes page for LC's Doctor Who output, particularly their "Recap" page. Kinda sad that they haven't updated the 8th Medic recaps to have pages for the stories of the 3rd and 4th "Black Pupils" series, because they put up recaps for the first 2 pretty quick following their releases. It also took them quite a long time before someone made recap pages for the monthlies' Mary Shelley trilogy awhile back, and even then those pages are a bit barebones. If I wasn't busy with other things, I'd gladly beef them up. Oh well...

Just wondering. With some of you sharing how you came across here, I'd be interested to hear how more of you found your way here.
I initially signed up on this site strictly to get albums of video game music that I've wanted for ages. Then in mid-2011, I became keenly interested in listening to the LC audios after finally being convinced by a couple of British friends of mine that they were very good. They were even citing monthlies #034 and #040 as ones I "must check out" as a fan of anything Who, even if I don't listen to anything else from LC. Strapped for cash, I began seeking out a website where I could download LC's audios quickly and efficiently. I found one site (I won't say it here for fear of reprisals for that site) and began downloading like mad and sorting them according to range in my music folder. Then I discovered this thread a few days later and here I am. I should mention that for the longest time I was strictly only into the full-cast stuff that LC was putting out until listening to the "Destiny of the Medic" range in 2013 convinced me to give the CCs and non-full cast "Lost Stories" a try. I'm glad I did, because I feel like I missed out on a wealth of good stories featuring the first 3 Medics. Plus, I wouldn't have heard Frazier Hines' impeccable impression of Pat Troughton. :D Also, the advent of the "Novel Adaptations" range allows me to experience stories that were first published in the years before I had become a fan of Who. :)

The first thing that drew me here was a Google search of Series 1 of Mounter-Catchers (which just hit series 4 about a week ago). This was about the same time that The Box went down, so it was a relief to find such a cool community like this one. I don't post as often as I'd like due to having three boys, a 4-yr-old and twin 1-yr-olds, so spare time is at a minimum these days---it's to the point where I haven't even finished the whole of the first PC series from last year. However I've been able to keep up with the audios on my work commute.

I just found this place on a Google search way back in 2011. My original source had dried up (LC kept requesting the links be taken down and the website put a permanent ban on all things Medic for fear of the entire site being shut down), and I was desperate to continue the Monthly range. Glad I found this place. It was back before we started putting things in code and hiding the links. The Golden Age of this forum, you might say.
