"Wow this is hard to follow" I thought, but after listening to the jagsore woar with 2nd medic companion a while ago I was liking the format.

I had a similar thing happen when I first listened to the D@l3K 3mp!re stories. I'd been through and renamed all the files and done all the mp3 tags only to discover on listening that I had somehow randomly sorted the tracks beforehand. That was for all 4 series. I didn't notice my error and I listened to them all - with lots of confusion about WTF was going on - before I discovered why I had such trouble understanding the saga!!!!

Luckily I was able to redownload them from my LC account and fix up the problem - made much more sense listening the second time.......I think I'll have to go back and revisit the tales again, it's been a while.

I first heard Bujilee in the wrong episode order, and STILL thought it made sense and was brilliant!!

I had the same thing happen with Veng**ance of the stones. I somehow got the first few followed by the second half. I also assumed Lut&&her wRightark was assembled wrong. Turns out it was just confusing.

'Breatures Of Ceauty' was a complete mind-fark even when I realised "No, I have heard this in the right order after all".

It contains proofread and fixed versions of DEC 4-5, MA 5, NA 62-70, EDA 6 and PDA 1-7.
NA 66 contains a complete new appendix chapter which the author had omitted due to space reasons and put on his web page (which is not available anymore, but I found it at archive.org).

I just finished the prelude. It was a struggle to make it through. The author seems to feel the need to give an elaborate description of everything but interspersed with dialogue or minor events. It felt like slogging through mud, honestly. If you go back and read just the dialogue, it becomes a pretty implausible conversation. (paraphrased to convey context)"I don't understand."

"I understand."

Love the *story* and *universe* that JKR created but, wow, she really needed a *VERY* strong editor. Especially towards the last two books. Half-Blood and Death-Hallow really could do with re-editing so that there's not so much exposition dumping going on. (The Snape 'flashback' in particular really kills the pace). And, arguably in hindsight, much of Riddle's history could have been spread across the proceeding books.

There is a collection of audio stories by Paul Margs called Challenger & Co. about adventures of Professor Challenger, Van Helsing and Mrs Hudson played by Colin Baker, Michael Jayston and Annette Crosbie. Looks like it was publisher by AudioGo in the early 2014 when AudioGo was dying and I don't think it can even be bought now. Any chance somebody might have it and is willing to share? I've read all the old ones, up to Sherlock. Warring States I've tried twice, it never clicked. But City is probably my favourite. When I have money, I'm going to try the new range. Since I don't know when that will be, I'm going to contact Valermos. :)

agree re LM, the first audio series of FP is one of my favorites, anyone else having trouble with Penumbra Shades - Red Stuff Lust 1 - 6, telling me i've overdone it but haven't been there for months, a re-up to a friendlier place would be much appreciated. (Although I've no idea what it is!)

Erasing Sherlock is simply amazing. I honestly cannot sell this novel enough. Of the City of the Saved... is also a very high quality story. The only other one's I've read are Dead Romance (again, supberb) and A Romance in Twelve Parts. The Faction Paradox series is simply phenominal in terms of quality.

Listened to the new Homeworld last night. Overall it was okay. Sophie was bang on as usual, though Ace did kinda feel unnecessary to the overall plot. Wasn't too impressed by Landau's Timelady until the final segment of the play when she finally came to life and started putting some oomph into her performance.

I have to say that, considering all the good things that LC did for Sixey, it kinda seems fitting for his Incarnation's final story to be through LC. I worry about Brick Niggs story, as I am not as fond of his writing of late as I once was, but overall, the lineup seems good. I also have to agreed with whomever commented first about being surprised at Frobisher's absence - considering his inclusion in 2 of the audios, I found it a bit of shock that he wasn't on the lineup. Pity, too, that the Brig and Evelyn are no longer with us,
as dammit, they definitely would've be needed! Ah, but they will surely be there in spirit. :)

You know what I don't like about the second run of audios? Not only did they get in two new leads, they switched the accents! It was really distracting to have the more rural actor playing the city girl and the London actor playing the rural girl.

Hmm.. I seem to recall my initial "Whaa--!" reaction to the change in actresses as well. Does anyone know why Magic Bullet changed Eliza's and Justine's voice actresses? I think there is a postcount issue here dictating that you cannot send private messages till after you have made X number of posts, since I cannot seem to send you a private message either, which makes sense since if you were a robot, they wouldn't want you to spam the entire board. Maybe it's 5 posts, or maybe it's 50, I don't know, but when the board stops treating you like a liability, left click with your mouse on a persons linky name in the left margin. A drop menu will give you a few options including "send private message".

Which sort of is defending an illegality, wouldn't you say? I don't see how this issue has any grey area. Either buy or don't buy. No-one scoffs a bit of the steak in a restaurant before deciding that's what they will pick from the menu. If you're in a book store, you can browse. If you're looking at eBooks online and the seller offers no free sample material as a taster (as Obverse do in may cases), then read the blurb and make a value judgement based on whether or not you think that is the book you want to read. It really isn't complicated, and no-one's human rights are being violated by your being expected to pay for the thing.

But that's probably just because I live in the Other's armpit (as far as distribution restrictions go).

Bit of a mixed bag. IMHO - the original run of 'Wep Of Choice' to 'Panacia' was very much a political drama. The 'Reborn' to 'Asscention' really looses its way and (again IMHO) is a bit of a mess. The latest? Seems to be wanting to move things in another direction, but it's not entirely sure which direction it wants to go.

I love them. There are some slower points that I won't really explain because *spoilers*, but overall they are entertaining. You could definitely do a lot worse.



SPEAKING of Homeworld. I was pretty disappointed with Intervention. Seems like they sort of wasted R3 by turning her into a generic TL...

She was very calm and soft spoken... Which is quite the opposite of II who was always yelling.

(Maybe not "always" but I like it when Lalla yells.)

failed with 30 seconds left!!!!!!!!!!! and 2mbs!!!!!! pain in the ass doesn't even start to cover it! 4 times now ...
can anyone please upload it to a site that isn't unstable ---

Would just like to say thanks to everyone who has placed uploads today, thank you very much.

But...

Every ecapsdnes file says that they cannot be found, is that a problem with said uploader do you think?

The protocol we have been abiding to for the last few months has been to keep the links up for only a day or two to avoid Lawyers and Johnny Law.

But two bad things can happen at the same time, besides, once those links are taken down, it's the civic (Palindrome! Never noticed that before.) duty of the thirty people who took those links to put them up again for the next round of requesters slow off the mark.

In about 1/2 an hour, you know where.
