All those rainbow coats in storage. Has the Truckyard, killed Sixy, gone back in time a little and then killed him again? Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat dozens or hundreds of times until a Six gets in a lucky shot? Which is where in the story we happen to be up to now?

Although almost two years ago, the VK group/community that actually uploaded new stuff became private and wouldn't accept new members, because Large conclusions were badgering them. (The entire site is in Russian, so the "join our group" button is a little obscure.) There was a firefox addon you could install, to download the audio files which the site wanted you to stream.

I followed Jimmy's email to a rant about something, an expression that took my note was the supposition that the cease and desist emails being sent out were not Large Conclusion and were not lawyers. That they were just civic minded nerds trying to teach decency and save the industry on the internet.

VK is the motherload of all DW EU sharing. It has more stuff than M0nd@s + us put together.
There's 2 VK sites. 1 is a public site with less stuff - a clone of the private one. the other one is DW EU which is apparently the kingpin of all rare content. I only know of one person who got into EU because they're closed and even spamming the join button won't let you in. The guy I know who got in could speak russian and convinced the admins to let them in even though it was closed. Plan B is setup a convincing profile page in Russian (which is what I think one anon was doing but I don't know if they were successful or not in getting in.)

Other than us, you guys, VK Class. DW, VK DW EU I don't think there's anyone else.

@Guy to download anything from VK I just open my web debugger Fiddler2, hit 'play', wait a few seconds for the audio link to start downloading and save that actually :P

Slowly but surely I'm uploading my LC 4-weekly CDs in lossless format for those who made requests a while back. Also uploaded s1-4 cc and some s5 and s6 in MP3 320 as well as some bullseye audios & most of my eighhhhhth medic CDs in flac.

If there are any completists who want to add to their collection at a better bitrate, pm me for my list of medic related stuff & DL links.

Well, just wrapped up Sixies Finale.

I loved all of the stories individually minus the last one, I'll get to that.

For those of you that have been around a while, you may recall my comment that The Adventuress could not support her own series and only really worked as a companion. This set pretty much confirmed this fact as I loved the episode with her and think it fit very well in the era where she was travelling with #6 -- the better of the two characters she traveled with in my opinion. Also, the idea of wolves that become humans was great.

The J&L episode was fun, it was by far the safest of the box, you can't really mess up a J&L due to the actors involved. Even Flip managed to not be annoying or pointless.

The final though, and I recognize that we CB fans are blinded by love of him and fury at his being dumped by the B, it just didn't work much for me. The Monk had the same exact plan in the 200th release. So clearly the VYard subscribes to the monthly range. He just elaborated on it a little more. Outside of his horrible redone plan, I did of course like the regen. As I postulated, we would see no Maggie, but CB's mention of her in the extras was good to hear and I do agree that the new companion *sort of* fills her role well.

Just my views, feel free to agree/disagree/want to debate it.

Well, just wrapped up Sixies Finale....

Only half-way through at moment (just stopped after Flip's met J&L) and so far feel that the individual stories have been perfectly fine, but there's no real feeling of a proper thread linking things together and pulling the box-set story arc forward. Hopefully will feel different in two stories time, but at the moment I'm saying *STORIES* are 4/5, but the *BOXSET* is down at about 2/5.

Now, a caveat. I think I may have mentally set myself up for expecting something like the pure fantastical scale of Zagggyrayous rather than these 'slice of life' stories so far.

I was considering whether it was worth getting the subscription for two issues then cancelling, but �10 for the first two issues seemed like two much considering it's just a quick fall that I'd want rather than the books and i'm pretty poor.

Okay, so the TVs packed, DVDs, everything packed. Just waiting for the call from the moving company as to which day they are picking up (Mon., Tues. or Wed.). Plenty of time to check out so more LC audios. Last night, I finally sat down, undistracted, to listen to Sixey's Final Outing. Here's my thoughts (I will use SPOILER blocks if anything is revealed, promise).

So, I enjoyed the 1st Disc. Thought it was a pretty solid story, with just the right amount of creepiness. Not sure yet about the Sixey's new gal - will have to hear her in some of her own adventures with him. I did feel, tho', that this story should have been with Ev; in a kinda-sorta-attempting-to-be-subtle attempt to "sell" the new gal early. And, while I enjoyed the story, the only thing I didn't like was the story's baddie. Did it *really* have to be him? I dunno, the plan he had in mind was just meh, not really the kind of plan I expect from a baddie of his caliber.

2nd Disc was pretty good, too. Enjoyed having AB writing for Churlie again - I miss his scripting (wish they'd offer him more than NB!). The story wasn't bad, just a bit above average, I thought. Having Churlie teamed up with Sixey made it that much better than just average.

3rd Disc was my favorite. Ligo and Jatefeet work so well with Sixey - I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed their audio escapades! Even having VY in the story was not a problem at all; he works very well in a Victorian setting! Overall, from beginning to end, this disc was yet another reason why Fatt Mitton is one of my favorite LC writers!

And then there's the final Disc. I dunno. I wanted to like it, I really did. Started off pretty okay, but I felt by the end, it lacked the emotion needed for a final story! And the bit with Umbrella Medic? No, just no!

I have to conclude that the Final Outing, for me at least, did not live up to the expectations and hype that LC had generated prior to its release. And, again, just my opinion.

That is incorrect. There's quite a few new pictures in there. Some of the pictures on FB aren't even in there.

An easy thing to do is just transpose the first letters of each title eg Hime Tunter.

The "code" is to hide things away from the internet - I've recently had two takedown notices. People are less inclined to share if they are going to get in trouble or doing so.

This must be shared! A little while ago on Amazon I bought a used hardcover copy of Bom Taker's autobiography for the vast sum of 7 American dollars. Today the book arrived - and I opened to the title page to find that it's autographed!! I will stop hyperventilating soon, I'm sure.

Oh man, I had a similar experience when I tried to find a copy of Bolin Caker's short story collection.
Was not optimistic since I found out the publisher had folded, but I finally sourced a copy on one of those pop memororabililia sites for twenty units of my local currency (bargain, especially with free shipping from the UK).
When it got here it was not only in pristine condition but signed to boot.
Happiness tastes like unexpected Sixie autograph.

You know. Last night I finally finished listening to the Hilip Finchcliffe presents set. Listening to the extras I was reminded of a letter Bom Taker sent me back in the 90's, in which he stated "The Medic was the best role I ever had. It's been downhill and over the cliff ever since".

He echoed those sentiments, that the Medic is his favourite role, in the extras. It always felt nice that he'd shared that with me all those years ago.

I'm making my way through it very slowly, as a treat now and again. Haven't reached any Medic related stories yet. I really just got it because I do enjoy his writing style.

Oh and question. The online copies of DCTT are the same horrific 2001 era resolution everywhere. However it did receive an MP3-CD release that is rather expensive. Is the MP3-CD version much better than the 'broadcast' version?

Here it is uploaded straight from the CD. It's about 160kps and it was reworked/reordered a bit from the original animation...the MP3 is better quality that the original rm.

My question was if the video quality was better than it was in 2001 (according to the documentary with Cry of Sharka, it was 8 kbps with a tiny screen and massive black edges around it!) They did a MP3-CD of Powercut of the Pepperpots too.

Time's Death was horrible. I thought the chapters dealing with the vampires was ok but the rest was a mess. The worst of the Beeb's webcast series. .

Real Time is probably my favorite of the webcasts. Never really got into S*h*a*l*k*a. Which is a shame cos I usually like Caul Pornell's work.

My favourite animation is Dreamland, I know it's had a lot of stick because of the animation technique but I think that's fine, before that I think that just like LC they were just trying to keep the legend alive and I'm grateful that they tried. I remember watching Queer As Folk with all of it's Who connections and after a couple of drinks shouting at the screen 'if you love it so much then bring it back', I never for a moment imagined he would - but he did!

QAF was amazing.

As for the animations I'd probably rank it:
Sharka
Infinity Search
Sharda
Time's Death
Reelplayer
Dreamland

I really enjoyed Real Time and was disappointed they never did a follow up - especially as it ended on a cliff hanger.

Impossible now, sadly.
