1: The trailers don't give away some of the film's best moments.
2: The film's cinematography is classically composed: you see everything, no hiding behind rapid fire editing.
3: Winstead is excellent. Her character Michelle is intelligent, observant, and decisive. But Goodman, who plays Howard, is amazing as well. For a good part of the film I wondered is Howard insane, is he someone who is tremendously socially awkward and comes off as nuts or is he something darker? There's no doubt Howard is intelligent. And prepared. And Gallagher, the actor who portrays Emmett, makes a character ,who could in other hands be just a plot device, flesh and blood.
4: The past couple of months have seen the appearance of good, strong, female heroes: Rey, Judy Hopps of Zootopia and Michelle.

Agreed. It's not a good movie, but it is very entertaining. It's like Transformers. You watch it because it's fun. Imagine Jack Sparrow as a Native American and set 100-200 years after Pirates and there you go. Now imagine the score as a western Sherlock Holmes and there you go.

Generally, all the plugins for generating waveforms like soundcloud are strictly PHP-based.
So good luck trying to get it all to work nicely.
It's not like there's a player that uses your web browser (offline mode) to play do all that fancy stuff for ya.

I liked that film pretty well. Partly because it took place during World War II, one of my favorite subjects / interests. :)

He, like Hulk, would be too much of a powerhouse.

The Hulk apparently will appear in Thor 3: Ragnarok.

Now the Hulk, to me anyway, is like the Punisher: to do right by the characters they need to be in "R" rated films. The Hulk is a force of nature, a gamma bomb made flesh and bone. And like the best Godzilla films, there must be destruction because when the Hulk gets mad nothing and no one is safe. His has the conscience of an F5 tornado: everything and everyone is an object waiting to be smashed.

But Marvel, for commercial reasons, doesn't want a hero who, in a fit of rage, destroys Manhattan. So the Hulk destroys small towns in the middle of nowhere. That makes the Hulk manageable and less dangerous and, of course, less interesting. (If memory serves, in the comics, the Avengers originally formed to stop the Hulk.)

To make a Hulk movie you'd have to make him able to carry an entire movie and that's difficult. A little "Hulk Smash" goes a long way. That's why the comic and the TV series were largely built around Bruce Banner. It's a lot easier to write for a relatable human being.

Plus the Hulk's so damn powerful it's hard to find a worthy set of opponents. Of course it could be done but I think Marvel would have to go the route of the Hulk injuring or killing people, accidentally of course, but there would have to be death to make the stakes real.

Speaking of that, I think Cap 3 will see one major character die, not some red shirt like Quicksilver, but someone who actually counts. (But I said that about Avengers 2 and brother was I ever wrong.)

With the Russo brothers now "in charge" of the MCU and last year's shake up within Marvel Media perhaps we'll get more than just a rearranging of the deck chairs and calling that action "change."
