I'm not sure. Without a season reference, I can't say.
I've only made it to season 6 where they did the spin-off and then I stopped trying to catch up to both series.

German bluray.

(

1) It's not anamorphic (don't need to stretch/resize)
2) It's FullHD (1080p)
3) It's not DNR'ed
4) It has stereo and 5.1 surround sound in lossless (5.1 has sfx so nothing can be edited)
I can't wait to crank this later today with the subs.
The train sequence is the most memorable part of the movie.
I like the whole movie. The old guy and the water buckets.
I love train sequences in movies.
The Hunted (1995), Wolverine (2013), some of the Harry Potter scenes.

Yes!!
For the action compilations, I think I'll make a nice train compilation.
I don't think Inception counts very well.
The minor scenes in the beginning and then the train on the street is very breif.
Maybe the street train. Just to cut between clips.

Just finished Peter Jackson's King Kong (2005). Never have seen it whole from the beginning until the very end before. Epic movie. Truly epic. Enjoyed it a lot.
P.S. And being 25+ year old man I cried like a little baby at the end. It just got me unprepared even though I knew how it all will end. I just have that enormous empathy and compassion towards animals. Unfortunately, I tend to notice that I don't feel the same way about humans...
Theatrical or extended?
I prefer the extended a lot.
The sound design to the movie amazing.
The extended edition has a bug scene in the canyon on Skull Island and it's just sound effects before the music creeps in.
It's incredible to listen to.
The village doing their ritual is my favorite part.
He really knows how to film a scene with sound in mind.
From Frodo going insane to showing Smeagol going insane in the LOTR trilogy to King Kong, he knows how to make sound work to his advantage.

You're probably right. WB didn't make a big deal of the Hobbit rating at all, but when it was time for the BvS extended edition they tried to say, "Oh! This version is more intense, it's 'R', way better than the original!"
I remember Larry Fong, the film's cinematographer, candidly said in a tweet that if you didn't like the theatrical BvS, you won't like the extended.
WB wasn't gonna have none of that, and Fong quickly amended his opinion of the film, saying that now everyone would like the extended version!

The group dynamics is great.
There hasn't been one episode that's a total feeldown or depressing drape covering over you.
I love The Office.
But some of the eps, gets you right in the feels and it's hard to recover for awhile.
I can appreciate it being a weekly serial instead of a marathon.
Stargate has quite a few bummer episodes that are hard to recover from, too.

I hope you're referring to the original UK series? The US remake doesn't even come close ;)
Nope. The one that lasted more than 2 seasons.
The American format is great for North America.
The adaptation is excellent. For its intended audience.
I have the UK series downloaded but it was never done in HD so I only have some tiny version that can be best viewed on a mobile device.
I know a few people from the UK series so I'm looking forward to it.
But I love the American version.
They really nailed it, probably why they made it to 9 seasons.
I notice Ricky Gervais doesn't do long series.
He always has very short runs for his shows.
I don't know his life so I can't say if it's just because he's busy with other things or if that's his intention (not because of other projects).
I watched the first season that short series. Extras, I think.
He's like Mandy Patinkin. A short runner. No stamina.
Patinkin has the series: Homeland.
But that show doesn't interest me much.

:cryingbatman:
A better love story than anything in Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead.
Really. Can't really vouche for any love in GOT. It's either incest, assassination, prostitution, or something that will get you killed.
The only genuine love story I've seen was killed off in season 1.
That's what you can expect of any love story.
And so far, none of the characters are thinking of love. They're thinking of surviving and trying to save the ones they love (platonic, like family and friends).
Daenerys Targaryen is taking on the Queen Elizabeth I role. Not loving anyone but the throne (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xN_89uynqw).
The Walking Dead is nearly the same scenario.
Except there's no incest.
The only love story I care about is Maggie & Glenn.
Rick must get used to being a single daddy. He's gotten so many people killed by now he has to see how selfish he's being.
I don't care much for Abraham. He's not capable of love. Just being an animal with women.

The unrated edition from Japan.
7 more minutes.
But for whatever reason, it's got a huge blur filter. Like they over DNR'ed the movie or something.
Maybe whatever source they got for the blurway was like that?
bad master, my guess.
This has been the worst quality from Japan to date.
It's not a major motion picture. It's underrated but not well received.
Small production, small budget, so likely that the master for the unrated/extended edition was botched from the very start.
Otherwise other countries would have unrated/extended editions on bluray with different qualities.

That's a Badelt film, right?
Yep.
Equilibrium was a bigger hit than UltraViolet.
UV didn't pan well at all in box office or home video.
It's a huge flop but has a cult following.
Fans of Equilibrium would recognize the director's invention of "Gun Katas" where you mix martial arts with guns.
Dodging bullets, staying in a single spot, waving your arms around, changing stances, etc.
The Gun Katas was more pronounced in UV over E.
E had a nice introduction to GK but wasn't used as widely.
I like both movies.
Same director, same composer, different cast, same underrated appreciation.
Although, I think most were more forgiving for E than UV.
UV goes super campy like Resident Evil with all the action.
Yet Resident Evil is a box office franchise success.
Equilibrium is so far just lossy leaked.
All lossless versions are transcodes from a lossy source.
Equilibrium has the best transfer coming from Japan.
The JPN BD is superior over all others in terms of quality. Perfect blacks, no loss of details, uses AVC codec.
The CDN BD happens to be a good alternative. By means of a completely alternative viewing since it's Open Matte (or zoomed, depending on scenes).
Although, it's tricky in Canada since it's been released at least 3 times in Canada so an in-depth comparison is needed for all CDN sources.

Concluded "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", with it's 2nd half more entertaining than its first, scenes with the ever droll Stephen Fry the most entertaining, Noomi Rapace the obligatory cockblock, and Zimmer back to ripping off Morricone again.
The pony part was funny. I think that's a reorchestration from Two Mules for Sister Sarah.
The slow motion forest scene looks better in 3D and interpolated to 48fps. :169:

A Game of Shadows was a complete misfire. It could have been to the series what The Dark Knight was to Batman. Instead the movie wasted one of the greatest villains in Victorian literature - Prof. Moriarty - and turned the film into The Hangover: the Victorian Edition.

I couldn't grasp why Ritchie spent all that money, and even more attention, on a sequence geared to just to killing off some Red Shirts. I didn't find it "thrilling" at all. Excessive, yes. Thrilling, no.

Pretty much that. I didn't care for the first one at all, and this second, "entertaining" only in the "brain on vacation" sense of the word.

It's what happens when you rush a script. That and Guy Ritchie has been reusing the same bag of tricks since Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
I'm not holding out a great deal of hope for his King Arthur movie.

I'm not holding out a great deal of hope for his King Arthur movie.
Yeah, I watched Snatch first and loved it a lot.
Then I watched LSaTSB and that was immediately a better movie in every aspect.
That was a real rush that rollercoasters give.
It really changed how I viewed Snatch after that.
Don't get me wrong, I still love Snatch.
But I'll take a fully loaded barrel any day over some overused snatch.
ffs...get your minds out of the gutters.
And yeah, the trailer for King Arthur doesn't look very necessary for a remake of an old tale.
It didn't really capture me. It looked like it was taking just the action and comedy from the 2 Sherlock Holmes films combined.
But, if it's got quirky antics involved like Barrels, I'll probably enjoy it yet.
I'd much rather have a trilogy set from a different director for a retelling of King Arthur.
or rather just leave it alone.
Between John Boorman's adaptation and the BBC Merlin series, I can't expect anything else.

No, KKBB is not the buddy crime comedy to end all buddy crime comedies. However, it does possess the two ingredients indispensable to any buddy crime comedy: the buddies, performed here by Kilmer and Downey Jr. with such winning rapport that the bumps and potholes in the narrative don't feel quite as jarring as they might otherwise be with less persuasive actors.

I agree. One element TNG has going for it is the rapport between Crowe, Gosling - hmm, birds of a feather - and Angourie Rice - who played Gosling's daughter and really held her own - and it made me wish the actors were in a better constructed film.

Just finished watching Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. Geeze.... Probably my least favorite of the franchise. It was nice being able to finally "see the activity" going on, but it got tiresome after a while... Also...
Is it just me or does Tobi look like a fucking hillbilly in his "spirit form" lol
I also like getting more of the backstory as to why all this is happening but I was hoping for things to wrap up by now. I know hollywood likes to keep things open ended for further sequels, but I feel like this franchise is over. The popularity has seriously died down since the last installment, and box office wise... this is the lowest grossing of the whole franchise with a whopping $18,300,124 (domestic) & $59,799,429 (forgien). Plus Blum said that this would be the last one, so I was hoping for more of an ending. Silly me...
But even with this being the lowest grossing film of the franchise, it still made a profit. $78,099,553 worldwide on an approximately $10,000,000 budget. So it still has the possibility of another sequel... just not as big of a possibility.
