But it's nearly 2am again, so I'm off to bed. I'll finish the saga some other time.

Re Hirschfelder - Guardians did have an OST release. Initially a digital download (which I purchased from Amazon about 3 years ago), I think it was then pressed as a proper CD. Lockdown bought it recently, along with a promo disc of "To The Sky".

Hirschfelder's website doesn't have any unreleased material. Just a suite using OST material.

Agreed. I've been waiting for Blunt ever since it was rumored she'd be Black Widow but I suppose Cap Marvel's good enough. Blunt could've done Maria Hill too. Better late than never, I suppose. And Scarlett did a good enough job as is. Rousey may be a badass but her 'acting', as far as I've seen, is ridiculous. I'm surprised Marvel's even entertaining it.

No offense Mr. Gold, I just thought it would be a lot better. And it's clear WB didn't care much for the film as the first trailer was released only about a month before the film opened. And I don't remember much of a marketing campaign.

We're about to witness the greatest miracle of the machine age. Based on the revolutionary Computonian Law of Probability, this machine will tell us the precise location of the 3 remaining golden tickets.

[he pushes buttons on the machine; the machine prints out a response]

Computer Operator: It says: "I won't tell. That would be cheating."

[he pushes the buttons on the machine again]

Computer Operator: I am now telling the computer that if it will tell me the correct answer, I will gladly share with it the grand prize.

[the machine prints out another response]

Computer Operator: He says: "What would a computer do with a lifetime supply of chocolate?"

[he sighs, then pushes the buttons once again]

Computer Operator: I am now telling the computer exactly what he can do with the lifetime supply of chocolate.

Peanuts is a worldwide known strip, famous almost everywhere; yet, this comic strip, or its specials or movies, have never been part of my childhood. While the famous and well known specials It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas airs religiously every year during the holidays on american television, here they are never aired that much often. Peanuts are not often shown on TV. And that does not mean we don't love the characters. We do know them, and a few of the TV specials and films premiered here in Spain, in TV and the characters are indeed known here. But they're just not as big as they are in the USA or other places. What I'm trying to say with this is, that Peanuts has never been part of my childhood or my life; and it's just now when I'm starting to watch things about it.. and my first ever thing that I've watched.. at least fully, has been the Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!). I've recently finished watching it and I really liked it. I also liked.. how the movie was based on real stuff from Charles Schultz.. and watching the special features, that tell the story and all. Point is, now I'm about to watch the special What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown? which is basically a sequel follow-up of this movie.. which brings a beautiful homage to the Day D.. a deep TV special.

My problem with IM3 is that it showed that Iron Man is NOTHING but the suit. Take Tony out of the suit, people still see Iron Man. The AUDIENCE still sees Iron Man. Tony is made superfluous.

The whole thing about Iron Man is that: does the suit make the man or does the man make the suit? The answer is that both contribute to the identity of Iron Man, but this film made it clear that Iron Man is nothing more than the suit of armor.

But I really can't see any legit reasons why it gets so much hate. It really wasn't that bad.

I agree! I really like Iron Man 3 to be honest. And the fact that people like to say its because Favreau didn't direct is a bullshit answer from people who don't know why they didn't like it. So they just blame Shane Black. PLENTY of sequels have had different directors than the originals that have turned out way better. Even within the MCU.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier i think is a way better film than Captain America: The First Avenger. Guess What? Different directors! :O

Thor: The Dark World I find is a massive improvement over the original Thor film, and OMG! Different directors!

I've yet to find anyone with a legit reason as to why they didn't like Iron Man 3. Its always a lame excuse like blaming Shane Black/complaining Favreau didnt return, or that "They ruined the Mandarin", or because of the Christmas setting (which I find is the most stupid/lame excuse of all).

- They ruined the Mandarin
- They didn't have the balls to kill off Happy
- Tony is stupid enough to give his address to a terrorist and apparently forgets to make sure he isn't attacked until it's too late
- The audience is made to think that Iron Man is just as cool without Tony in the suit
- They give Pepper superpowers and she kills Killian (ugh!)
- How the hell is Tony's heart repaired? What logic is there to justify this? Why didn't he just fix his heart when he was dying in his last movie?
- Post-credits scene is a total let-down

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Different director. It's the most unsuccessful of the current 4 films in America. It's been said that Rob Marshall is also to blame for the score being a mess and wanting the same old themes from Zimmer and co.

Not all sequels with different directors are worse. Catching Fire is better than The Hunger Games. Aliens is better than Alien. Empire Strikes Back is better than A New Hope. These are all just opinion, of course - but I feel most people would agree. OST being the most unsuccessful however, is a fact.

Whaaaat? I love Iron Man 2! What do people have against it?

-They focus way too much time of the film throwing Avenger's references and trying to set that up rather than focusing on the actual story at hand.
-The villains wern't good (but that's what we've come to know from Marvel now a days)
-Whiplash ended up being a rehash of the previous villain at the end of the film. He ends up making his own Iron Man suit and fights Tony... just like in the last film...
-The actors portraying the villains I felt were wooden, especially Mickey Rourke! And even Sam Rockwell (Who I like a lot) seemed to just phone it in.
-And instead of Tony trying to find a solution to keep him from dying, he just does whatever the hell he wants until the last possible minute. Seriously. Other than the lack of action scenes (There were... what... 2 small action scenes and and the finale?), what does Tony do for the majority of the film?! Oh lets watch him try to box, maybe eat a doughnut while sitting in a doughnut (...hilarious...), and then lets drive in a race! Woo!

- They ruined the Mandarin

Like I said before, that's not a legit answer. How could they ruin the Mandarin... IF HE WASN'T THE MANDARIN? If you watch the Marvel One Shot All Hail the King, then you know the REAL Mandarin is out there!

- They didn't have the balls to kill off Happy

So what? People love that character.

- Tony is stupid enough to give his address to a terrorist and apparently forgets to make sure he isn't attacked until it's too late I'll agree with you on that

- The audience is made to think that Iron Man is just as cool without Tony in the suit

You and I must be watching two totally different films then. The whole film is showing just the opposite with Tony dealing with his PTSD after the events of The Avengers, which clearly shows his weakness. PTSD... So Cool...

- They give Pepper superpowers and shekills Killian (ugh!)

Wait... why is this a problem? It just made Pepper badass! And it ended up helping with your next point down below...

- How the hell is Tony's heart repaired? What logic is there to justify this? Why didn't he just fix his heart when he was dying in his last movie?

At the end of the film, he stabilized Extremis. Using this to heal his heart during surgery. And as far as the last movie? He needed it to power the suit, and I assume he didn't have the time for surgery before going to take down Whiplash.

- Post-credits scene is a total let-down

I thought it was funny. I think the Howard the Duck PCS for GOTG is a let-down.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Different director. It's the most unsuccessful of the current 4 films in America. It's been said that Rob Marshall is also to blame for the score being a mess and wanting the same old themes from Zimmer and co.

OST was not unsuccessful at all. Is it the lowest grossing film? Yes. But $90,151,958 opening weekend with total domestic ending with $241,071,802? That's successful. So it is the lowest grossing film out of the franchise here in America. But when you add the overseas box office of $804,642,000, you get the second best in the franchise with $1,045,713,802. First being DMC. I'd say that's far from unsuccessful.

And it just had a different feel to it. Left a sour taste in my mouth. 1 & 2 were very good and I think 2 is a great sequel, but they both have the same feel/tone. 3 just feels completely....foreign

So now that it has a different tone that makes the film bad?

Lol, exactly, while i like Bale a lot (especially in Equilibrium and American Psycho) i don't think he was a very good cast choice
for the Batman Films... Maybe it was the Script, meaning how he had to act, pretty forgettable in my opinion.

Heck i Prefer Nicholson to ledger as Joker...

That one is a bit of a toughie really. They are both great performances, and i 100% agree with the Oscar
Ledger recieved after his Death, he would have gotten it nonetheless i think.

But Nicholson is just so damn good in everything he does, and if i am honest,
his performance is a lot more "Classic Joker-ish", which i prefer by far.

The first 13 episodes or so are kind of hard to get through... they're kind of boring. But after that it becomes an extremely riveting show... have you seen Winter Soldier yet?

Does the television show have anything to do with the film?

Not really, other than most of it takes place in Fargo, North Dakota. This is season 2, completely different characters and story. But the show is so addicitng. And the ensemble cast is great. Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jesse Plemmons, Kirsten Dunst, Bokeem Woodbine, Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkin, Jean Smart, Nick Offerman, Angus Sampson, Jeffrey Donovan. And they're not all in every episode, so it's not like you see the same characters every week. They're spread out.

I'm still holding out hope that it gets better.

It's reasons like this why I haven't seen it and don't really have an interest. And it just looks way too cheesy and campy for me. I already gave up on Gotham for those reasons....

Actually, there are two One-Shots with released music, both having been composed by Christopher Lennertz - here they are (Thread 182949) ('Make It Rain' is a great little track).

Another reason I sometimes take a little bit to respond is I need time to gather my thoughts for an appropritae respone. A waited answer that sounds intelligent and informative is better than an instant answer that says "ok, awesome!" :p

Well since your PM box is full at the moment I'll just post the info here... I've done some research on the various sound mixes for T2; here are some fun facts:

The earliest R1 DVD release from Artisan for the film had the original theatrical mix (http://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?p=16156&sid=563d310336d8252a89b74f4be002ff76#p16156), with sound quality at 384kbps (here's what it looks like ()).
The film was remixed a little later (studios like to remix the sound for home video, since the speaker configuration at home is very different from that in the theater), at which point the sound was "bastardized", as someone put it, and this is the mix present on all other DVDs.
The sound was apparently remixed AGAIN for the first edition of the US Blu-ray
Now this is where it gets potentially interesting: the original mix for T2 apparently didn't have a lot of surround activity. (http://www.widescreenreview.com/news_exdetail.php?title=vanling) The music stems the mixer - a fellow named Rydstrom - had were in stereo, and he artificially upmixed them (sadly, to mono surround) for the rear. Any SFX in the rear are in stereo. When it was time to do the near-field mix for home video, he added more FX to the surround channels, although this time the music is stereo in the rear.
Here's a screenshot of what I believe to be the theatrical mix (). Note that the two rear channels appear to be exactly the same, indicating that they are mono and that music is the primary sonic element in the rear. On the other hand... looks like mostly just the music is down there, huh?
And of course, most recently, the Blu-rays for the film sport a 6.1 English mix and a 7.1 German mix. If I had to guess, I'd say that the German mix would have less SFX than the English mix, unless the English 6.1 is downmixed from a 7.1.

OVERALL: if there's any one mix where the music is more or less isolated, it's the original theatrical mix, albeit that'd be in mono.

Do you own the film? If so, which version do you own?
