Banner took control of Hulk.
An attack on SHIELD's flying ships is taken directly out of Independence Day (1996).
Also, if the Chitauriand mimic people, why didn't they do that in the MCU films?
I've not caught up on Agents of SHIELD, so no idea if they allow that in the series for Chitauri spies.
But, given they just gave them mimicry abilities, IT'S JUST LIKE STARGATE NOW WITH THE GOA'ULD.
In that you just need followers of the Goa'uld or just toss a snake down someone's throat and they would all still be humanoid.
AND SINCE WHEN WAS HULK ABLE TO PICK UP THOR'S HAMMER???

2008 broke that cliche when RDJ revealed it.
Progressively, from there, super hero's changed.
It was a great way to end the first movie.
Cut to fancy end credits, crank up Black Sabbath to 11.
It was cheeky and in style.
With so many reboots of Batman saying "I'm Batman", and only the audience know the identity, it was refreshing for Stark to say "I am Iron Man" to his public.
RDJ literally is Iron Man.
A lot of people can be Batman.
Kevin Conroy is excellent. As was Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and even Adam West.
---------- Post added at 02:24 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:21 AM ----------
Jon Favreau knew exactly how to separate the MCU from DC.
Joss Whedon just accentuated that colorful and bashful take with The Avengers.
For all the hate the MCU movies get after a couple years of their initial release, it really is something in cinematic development.
If the MCU wasn't so successful, who's to say where DCCU would be today.
Maybe no chance of a Justice League franchise.
I think a lot of credit has to be given to Nolan for re-inventing the mask with Batman Begins.
Without that, who's to say Iron Man wouldn't have been made and started this unstoppable force of super hero franchises.

Hulk with Thor's hammer is not unheard of. Actually way back in the 80's, Storm lost her mutant powers, but was able to wield Thor's hammer and became a Goddess of Thunder in a special issue. Was awesome art. For the time anyhoo. Marvel has messed with stuff just as much as DC. It's not the first time Banner has at least influenced Hulk either, depending on the writer of the day.....

I mean they went full on green Martian Goodness there. Phasing through walls, flying, mind reading. Really an interesting choice. Contrary to the wonderful popular belief. I wouldn't hate you or give you a fuss if you really didn't like Zootopia. I know about opinions.. and most of the time, unless I consider stupid, I respect them. The only thing that weirded me out at first is how could you think the movie wasn't funny, or was boring, because honestly, it's got really really really good jokes. The final one always cracks me up. It's just, Byron and Rich did a great movie, and their sense of humour is great. Zootopia has a lot of creativity in art design, they created a world; it isn't a masterpiece, but has wonderful characters you love, and an amazing animation. A lot of job went into the animation, and there's a lot of detail. The moral of the movie, is also really good. The "emotional" moments of the film felt real, alive, relatable, amazing. No spoilers. The animation and voice acting job helped the scene a lot. If I have to point out the movie's biggest flaw; is the ending, actually. Not because it ends, but because, it's just massively flawed, and can't tell without spoilers. It's just really rushed, and solved in 2 minutes. And almost makes no sense. Even the villain's plot is kind of stupid, and barely says why. There's some idea I wish they could have done, that, even though clich, it'd have been nice and would have rounded up the end and give the villain a real reason to do anything.
It's not a masterpiece, but nevertheless, is for most, a very enjoyable movie. Very decent. The whole team of animators, artists, and directors, made a great movie, that I'm pretty happy that it's got good critical and box office sucess. It deserves it. I gave it a 8/10.

I literally just watched the film 100% definitely legally and I was in love with it just hearing the music when "GODS OF EGYPT" appeared on the screen, with all the fire...
Although I hate to get my hopes up. My favourite tracks are never in the OST... Like, there's still one track from The LEGO Movie that I love, in fact it's my favourite, and it's not included in the OST or the FYC. That upsets me deeply.

Zootopia score.
Fits for the movie, has some nice melodies, the emotional music fits the emotional scenes but even I would have to agree, it's really not outstanding. It's not horrible, it's not bad. It's listenable. And again, the melodies are nice. But.. it doesn't really goes out of their way, and it's weird because Giacchino really always goes out of their way for his animated movies. Maybe he wanted to differenciate his Pixar scores with his WDAS scores?

Both Hood & Flashpoint were a pleasant surprise as I had not read the original comics. The voice cast for Hood was outstanding as was the noir inflected music. And Flashpoint made me like The Flash. But the standout truly was Thomas Wayne as a gun toting Batman, his fight with Yoyo and the reveal of Martha Wayne as the Joker. When she smears the blood on her face into the Joker's grin:

Agent Smith is Actually “The One” in the Matrix Trilogy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrUUFQzJpWQ
The Architect and Oracle are key factors in this theory.
Which makes sense, and makes watching the trilogy more interesting for a rerun.
I always wondered about the ending to Revolutions.
It seemed to House of Cards to just randomly walk up and say "you play a dangerous game".
It also helps understand why Smith was able to overthrow the system so easily. The only Agent powerful enough to subdue other Agents without detection.
Anything the Architect and Oracle say can be applied to anyone that fits the criteria.
The Watchowskis just made it implicit of Neo (fit the character to the criteria).

It's just a cute trick that happened to work in the Oracle's favor. :p
When you see coincidence and an opportunity, you capitalize it for the followers who need The One.
Matching the criteria to fit the person.
Looking back on it all, the most confusing parts were mostly the Oracle scenes.
Not because of the way she talks. I get she's mystical and things are meant to be fortune cookie vague.
But there's always one part that doesn't match the rest of the film and it always bothered me by the end of the movie.
The single line of Smith saying "mom" is too out of character.
Smith is changing and goes aganist his programming, but that degree of sarcasm isn't exhibited anywhere after that point nor buliding up to that point.
Smith saying "Me me me me" and "Me, too" was a different form of humor. Somehow. It seemed more indirect as he knew Agent Brown (or whichever) would never have a chance to hear the humor for a chance to respond/react.
Whereas the scene with the Oracle and Smith calling her "mom" sarcastically, it's more-human-than-human.
You can't just slum it up to "he's becoming human" because the humanistic traits would be more punctuated more after that scene, enforcing that notion.
Instead, he only has anger and the few minor quips that aren't "next level" humor (for a program).
There was no real basis for him to call her "mom" as a joke. Which makes it "next level".
I've always found Agent Smith the most intriguing development of the franchise.
He literally did force things to happen and change.
"Neo" (a happenchance of an internet monicker) was just the perfect candidate to get Agent Smith in his right track.
This is re-enforced by The Animatrix.
The many trials and tests of finding "The One".
Who all failed. Not because they weren't The One. They weren't but that's besides the point.
They failed because of chance.
Anderson was entirely lucky. Being a hacker helped him grow to be a powerful super solider for the Oracle.
The others had potential to be that super soldier but didn't get extracted early enough from the Raggidy Anne Team to begin training.
Remember the first movie, in the offices? The Agents didn't shoot Neo but captured him.
The skateboard kid in school, he would have been caputred and not shot, too.
I imagine the Agents would have conducted the same interrogation on him, had he not ran away on instinct.
The detective was a threat from the start as he carried a gun. No interrogation for him.
You give the followers hope and then give them a poster boy, you can run any game you like.
"Know Thy Self"
Neo knew he wasn't the one, and the Oracle knew that if Neo stayed around the West Side Story gang (who were only believers, desperate for a warrior), they (the gang) knowing themselves to be suckers for magestic stories would influence Anderson that he is the one and that all of what the Oracle said was more for his benefit.
Yeah, they did make it look like that she only said that so he would learn to discover for himself that he's the one. Reverse psychology.
But did she really just do that to make us think that and played a dangerous gambit on telling him the truth so that he thinks that she thinks she's playing reverse psychology on him? Thus making Morpheus think he knew what she was thinking when he told Neo?
She's good with words and crafty at these mind games.
With Morpheus preaching the prophecy and being an avid follower of The Oracle, she used Morpheus to her advantage to keep Anderson strong and healthy for the war.
Milk and cookies, remember?
And candy, to keep his blood sugar up. :smrt:
She knows herself all to well.

I think Neo is the One because 'One' is 'Neo' with the letters rearranged
Also, the youtube video covers that section about "One".
It's not really about "Neo".
it's more about the programming and the remainder of "one".
There's a lot in it alludes to "the first program" (or "one"). Which would be Agent Smith.
Etymology for "neo" says:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/neo-
Etymology
From Latin
Prefix
neo-
Used to form clade or taxonomic names indicating more recent branching than a morphologically or otherwise similar group
defining "clade"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clade
A clade (from Ancient Greek: κλάδος, klados, "branch") is a group of organisms that consists of a common ancestor and all its lineal descendants, and represents a single "branch" on the "tree of life".
In Anderson's case, apes.
Meaning, not born in the system (reborn in the system doesn't mean anything).
Actually, how did they explain that one?
IIRC, the movies and Animatrix point out that *anyone* can do what Neo does. A lot of the candidates do trippy stuff in The Animatrix once they realize they're inside the Matrix (like lucid dreaming). So it defeats the awesomeness of Anderson being the One. If he dies, all they need to do is will someone to learn how to hack the system and defy physics. :smrt:

And when I said "2009'er?", I was jokingly correcting you since you said "us 2011'ers". I didn't mean any offence or insult.

when i said chatting in threads technically wasnt allowed its the same thing as saying jaywalking is technically illegal
A mod saying that "chatting in threads is technically not allowed" is one of the most fucking moronic things in the world.
And also, your analogy is incorrect. It's not the "same thing as saying jaywalking is technically illegal." What it is analogous to is a police officer saying that having a Driver's License from out of state is technically illegal when he encounters someone with an out of state Driver's License, then saying he'll let it slide. See, you're a moderator who has deleted threads on a whim and has recently threatened to ban people. Maybe you find random ban jokes funny, but I don't. It reflects extremely poorly on moderators to joke about abusing their power. I can't blame people for wanting to move this discussion to a forum where you don't have jurisdiction, since it apparently bothers you so much that you'll go out of your way to mention that chatting is not allowed in threads, then later edit your post to say you'll let it slide to cover your ass. But here's a bit of advice: as a mod, don't go around telling people what they can and can't do if you're only doing it to be a dickbag. It fosters discontent, as you see here.
stop acting like the sky is falling, all of you
And here's another instance of you telling people what to do. This kind of statement is exactly the kind of last resort backpedaling that one would expect from someone so egotistical that they can't own up to their mistakes. You're the one who said chatting wasn't allowed in threads. Take some ownership of what you said and either follow through with the locking, banning, and prohibiting of chatting in threads if you're serious about it, or apologize for your nonsensical power trip comment.

I'm obviously joking. If I had to pick an animal I would be a wolf more than a dog. In fact I kinda have one "fursona" which is me as a wolf. The dog thing is just a recurring joke because of my profile picture. Don't even mention furries, each day that passes I'm more ashamed to be one. It's a shitty fandom. Like bronies. I'm just in it for the few friends I have and the artwork, really. And because I adore everything anthro. No, I don't fuck animals, bestiality disgusts me. And I don't act like that lol.[COLOR="Silver"]

Cool, unfortunately their are many quadraphonic vinyl albums that were transferred to cd that sound like crap because they do not contain certain instruments because those channels were not included in the digital version.

Cool, unfortunately their are many quadraphonic vinyl albums that were transferred to cd that sound like crap because they do not contain certain instruments because those channels were not included in the digital version.
While that can be the case, the album I was listening to was originally released in stereo, as well as the band's others. The thing about this version
https://www.discogs.com/Kraftwerk-Autobahn/release/1961871 is that it was apparently made without the band's knowledge. Whoever did the mix had a copy of the masters, made it work with the 8-Track Quad format, and gave it to the label. The original mixes, as far as I can tell, pretty much were only ever in stereo. Interestingly, The Catalogue was intended to be released in SACD, meaning 5.1 mixes, seeing as Minimum Maximum got the treatment.
On to what I thought of it, it certainly was a very unique experience. Granted, I listened to it through earphones, so it probably won't be a fair judgement. It is probably the most balanced version of the album. An example I'll give with is with Morganspaziergang. The sound effects of the track really stand out, but the flute still has a presence, despite being in the near right channel. On the 2009 remaster, the flute really stands out, but the sound effects are practically missing. Kometenmelodie and Mitternacht worked really well in their set up. Autobahn is basically the same in both versions, with a couple of details sticking out here and there. I'm not sure if it's the best version, seeing as I haven't listened to the original CD version and the vinyl versions, but it is very enjoyable presentation of a fantastic album.

I also watched the trailers for Suicide Squad and Fantastic Beasts and where to find them less than an hour ago. Found them both nice. Looking good. Although FBAWTFT barely looks like a Harry Potter spin-off aside from the little obvious references, nevertheless, there's too many HP fans so it may become a moderate hit for the Warners. Suicide Squad also looks good (I like Will Smith in this one. I think he seems to have a talent but lately he's been throwing it using in bad movies.) but to me it reminds me a lot like Deadpool, but without the obvious unique things of the character. Because of that, Warner may have a hit with this one, but a hit based on a copypaste of Deadpool.

I hadn't seen it eons either.
However, I did still remember that it boasts some great performances, particularly from Veronica Cartwright, lovely cinematography from Vilmos, colourful art direction, and an impish score from Williams. And then, after watching it again, I was reminded that the last act is rushed and feels very anti-climactic, as if though there's another 15 to 30 minutes of story that was left on the cutting room floor.
