I love that movie. I just watched it with my Grandma a couple of days ago.

I love this track. It's abrasive, threatening, aggressive, and beautifully melodic all at the same time.

Probably. I saw the comments of a Jason Bourne advert, where kept complaining about his political views than the actual movie (as well as how overplayed the ads were).

They kept forgetting he's an actor as well, and in a long running series, since they called him pure hypocrite for having a gun in the film.

Man, do people get pissed off easily. Life is too perfect for them, so there has to be a flaw now.

I don't especially like Matt Damon, but I can't really put my finger on why exactly, to be honest. Something about him screams know-it-all? I don't know. I like the Bourne franchise, I very much enjoyed We Bought A Zoo, and Dogma too, Green Zone too, but he himself as an actor, I don't really know... It's kind of weird because I've seen a lot of his films, come to think of it. I'm not that crazy about Clooney either but I acknowledge he's a good actor. He's mentioned doing one about each of the main characters.

Manolo would be the focus of the first (which we got).

Joaqun would've been the focus of the second.

Maria would've been the focus of the last.

However, I feel the film already gives enough about each character. Plus, the director is probably happy enough with the film as is. It would still be interesting though.

Just got my DVD set in for MTV's cancelled series: Undergrads (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0292861).
2 disc set, used from eBay.
The show is out of print and can go for well over $100 (CDN) on Amazon.
Before S&H + applicable Taxes.

I paid $30 or something for it.

Been watching disc 1 so far.
2.5 hours of Star Wars references galore.

It ended after 1 season. Don't know if that was intentional.
But I can't see it lasting too long.

I might fall asleep watching disc 2.

All the sites online don't have the untouched DVD's anymore and the rest of the encodes are all DivX/Xvid so looking for the cheapest DVD set was the best option.

At first glance, demuxing the video to raw elementary streams, it's a really weird mix of interlace + progressive.
Converting to h264 will require special work and attention to detail.
It might best to approach to it per episode instead of the entire disc as one volume.
There's a playlist that's great for binge watching. One episode after the other, with credits.
Normally, credits and frames with text on them (credits of any sort overlayed on the main video) will get interlace while the rest is progressive.
This is not going to be easy at all.
But oh so fun. :jokerlaugh: : jokerlightninglaugh :

It's definitely worth watching.
It makes your heart ache.

It's hard to believe it's from Stephen King's mind.
Makes you wish he did more soft movies. That aren't scifi.

There was Hearts In Atlantis or something. Anthony Hopkins. That was a good movie and the book was nice.
But, let's not have aliens or demons involved.

The source music in the movie is superb.
I have a soft spot for oldies. It's a lot easier to find it in movies than to pick any ol' album from the past.
You start with a song, then find the artist, then find the album. Bing bang boom. The Best Of and you got a nice warm collection for that perfect weekend day where it's quiet outside and the sun is just sitting there and not really shining or trying to blind you but so as to invite you and sit on the patio and just let time dissolve as you relax. Just relax. If music hadn't been playing, it would be a quiet you'll never encounter again.

Zihuatanejo.

I don't know why studios try to release movies like this.

Because 35mm is a niche market.
Most people who claim to love, say, Raiders of the Lost Ark only like the version they remember the most. They prefer the revisionist version, with the oversaturation of red in Marion's bar or the horrible golden tint on the Blu-ray. Show them the original colors and they'll balk. "Thank God they 'fixed' the movie for the Blu-ray, huh?" they'll say.
I'm fine with revisions so long as it improves the viewing experience - like editing out an obvious goof that doesn't entertain, only annoys - but messing around with colors dangerously changes how a viewer interprets the scene.

Where does one find that sort of stuff, anyway? Myspleen?

People can use "point" resize kernel if they wanted to.

I'll switch tabs or minimize the browser to do something else entirely and when I come back to this tab/browser, it's telling me it's going to resend data.
I can choose to resend it or ignore it.
Ignoring it will not dupe posts (since no resend).

But because of the multiple connection errors, I get asked multiple times, by which time I lose all interest and move on.

Ponyo, the gamerip doesn't actually sound that bad, at all... it sounds very decent, especially taking the term 'gamerip' into consideration, and what they can sound like.

Listen to this cue (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B18GQkZXWsEVSFRkRE42c3R0VUE) from Giacchino's score to Call of Duty: Finest Hour (I love this cue, by the way), sourced from a gamerip of the PS2 version, and this cue (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B18GQkZXWsEVbWRtRi05UFZCa1U) from Follin's score to Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future (this one too), sourced from the Dreamcast version (completely identical to the PS2, in sound) and you'll know what sounds bad, or at least notice that these are poor-sounding in contrast.

I'm aware there's still worse sounding out there, but these surely do not sound good, and in comparison makes Star Fox: Assault sound great. I definitely won't argue the fact that the official release sounds better, because it most definitely does, but, you know what I'm trying to say...

You think that sounds bad? Wait til you get some of the vinyl rips I've got. Some is overbearing, while others sound like they're missing detail.

I know what I'm mentioning is a different field, but it still has to do with sound. What you presented is somewhat poor sounding, but nothing really off putting. Hell, I know of game rips that are more good than bad. Even with the lower frequency choice, Nintendo game rips I thought sounded great. I must not be that familiar then.

I honestly don't know about the game yet, some people like it, some people don't. What I've learned in the recent from reading many reviews and such, is that No Man's Sky is not everyone's type of game, but regardless, I feel I'll be with the amount of people that enjoy it. Also considering how excited I've gotten from watching practically every video on the game I could find, including every existing 'IGN First' video, thinking about the experience I'll have, which brings me to another thing I've learned from everything I read. No one person will have the same experience. It's all unique.

Right, they aren't off-putting, and are still listenable. I just felt that those games were much more deserving of the phrase "This doesn't sound good. I wish there were an album release.", than Star Fox: Assault.

I do honestly feel that way. :p

It sounded like the sort of game I would like. Exploring infinite amount of open worlds? Cool. The issue is not only that it would be overkill with the amount, it's exploring empty barren planets isn't exactly my thing. I prefer going around on earth. Lego City Undercover on Wii U did quite well with that aspect. I just don't know where else to go.

Everyone hears things differently. After I went through so many copies, editions, and dfferent sounding versions of Kraftwerk's discography, I feel like I know more about sound than ever before, even if just in feeling.

I feel Ponyo either asks for too much or can't accept it takes a while. That Spyro thing is something !!!!! or 3DMan would do by themselves with time, but Ponyo wants an entire crew. Sometimes you have to be realistic. I know there are some things I to achieve that will end up taking time and practice.

At least he knows to wait for some things.

On many instances, I've had to follow by "If you want it done (or done right), you have to do it yourself."

You're in luck if users like !!!!! and 3DMan (or even skeletonmage, as recently demonstrated by his upload of Call of Duty: World at War) take on projects like these, but otherwise, unless there are others that want the same thing, readily willing to join in to help on a project, you'll have to wage it yourself.

Sadly, (but as you previously mentioned, realistically), I'll have to put together the soundtracks to Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, Call of Duty: Finest Hour, and Call of Duty: Black Ops together myself, unless the aforementioned. Those are just examples of games that I've been wanting to do that for.

Indeed. I've been wanting to recreate this (https://youtu.be/mdWGPrwacWE) in higher quality, but it's clear I don't really have the chops for it quite yet. I'd asked on two occasions, but no one responded. It wasn't until a converstaion with Cameron007 that I attempted it, or at least began to. When I realized I couldn't quite get it down, I decided on something simpler for practice: the TLD edit I sent to some people. It wasn't perfect, but it was a start.

I'll do that recreation one day, but I'll start smaller for now.

Wow, a 7 minute extended version of "Take On Me"? That's amazing!

Damn, that's one of my favorites from a-ha. I know you don't like as much, because you've probably heard it a million times compared to my very small amount: obviously not enough to wear me off of it! I love it just as much as "Summer Moved On".

Both absolutely amazing songs.

It's honestly become the best way to appreciate the song for me. It sucks that it isn't official, since it's a fan creation using the stems that are out and about. The official four minute extended version is neat, but pales in comparison. I tried contacting the user for a higher quality download, but it seems he lost his PC. Shame.

Summer Moved On only really works in that particular live version. The studio cut sounds too much like a product of the year 2000. The debut sounds more timeless. Shame it never popped up in a high quality form, since a-ha has never done live highlights that cover the years.

I still love them as a whole though. I haven't heard everything since I don't want to be yearning for more once I do.
