Maybe I'd sell my soul, too. Gotta sit on that one.

But maybe Kamen also orchestrated and produced some material as well. I know he was involved in The Wall also. I wonder if he was still alive today if Waters would've hired him for the score.

Yes. I went to go see him in May 2012.
I went with my uncle a day after my grandmother died.
Very emotional and powerful concert.
My uncle and I both agreed Mother was the highlight.

I was lucky enough to see Floyd in 1994 as well.

Any different from the OST?

I think Toy Story 2 is my favorite film and score in the series.

I've only listened to it once so far, and based on my memories of the OST, there's not that much difference. Theres only a couple of unreleased music, and the music we already have, is in its proper film edit rather than being rearranged like in the OST.

I'll have to compare the OST vs the FYC sometime and write down all the differences.

By the dangerous and wild?
Do you feed on the need
For the beauty underneath?

Have you felt your senses surge
And surrendered to the urge?
Have been hooked as you looked at the
At the beauty underneath?

When you stare behind the night
Can you glimpse its primal might?
Might you hunger to possess
Hunger that you can't repress?"

I really am not a fan of how Disney owns Lucasfilm.

What specifically about Disney's ownership of Lucasfilm disagrees with you? TFA is pretty damn good, and more importantly, a lot of fun. Contrast it with the three prequel films Lucas directed: they were bad, setting low water marks in writing,- not so thinly veiled racial stereotypes - Jar Jar Binks - acting, - none of the kids playing Anakin were any good, except at whining and who wants a whiny Darth Vader? - and directing, Lucas managed to kill off the few good original characters of the in the first film, Darth Maul and Qui-Gon.

Thanks to Disney we've have a revitalized franchise, a new Star Wars every year; 2016 sees Rogue hit the screens and in 2017 its Episode VIII. Judging from the quality of the prequels Lucas either lost interest in the franchise and was just going through the motions or he lost touch with the essence of his own creation. And who would have done a better job at taking over the franchise?

Thanks, but no amount of writing is going to change my mind about the prequels: they're uniformly awful and I will never watch them again. (Like an idiot I kept hoping that Lucas was going to pull some rabbit out of his ass in regards to Binks and do a 180 on him because I thought no one could be so inept at writing and create a character that ill conceived.)

Harrison Ford was right when, back in the day, he threatened to tie Lucas to a chair and force him to recite his own dialogue.

Was he serious about doing that!?

That's the story. Apparently one reason Ford reprised Solo was because Abrams told Ford his character would die in TFA and what actor can turn down a good death scene? Another was Disney paid Ford $26 million to return. And Disney gave Ford a percentage of the movie's box office take which will earn him another $9 million.

Mr. Gold I think you'd enjoy seeing Zootopia. I must remember you Ginnifer Goodwin voices the fantastic super adorable and lovable and cuddable Judy Hopps and she seems amazing from the little we've heard. And you'd love to see how the animators got a lot of her expressions and herself in the bunny animation. :p

Listening to a sneak peek of the Shakira song for Zootopia, "Try Everything", I like the music, I like the beat, the lyrics though seem really clich and cheesy.

I have a feeling the movie will be too short and the story a bit unoriginal or not enough. It's not me being greedy or wanting more. I just simply want 90 minutes that don't seem to me like 30 minutes.. and a story that's enjoyable and not fully predictable. However, I'll trust Disney.. ever since the 30s, they ALWAYS somehow managed to condense everything into a tight 70 minute movie and still manage to feel that it was longer, and more satisfying than that.

Oh well, there'll always be fanfics.. :erm: Okay no, those are gonna be probably cringey. At least there'll be.. pretty much everything merchandise wise to hold me? :erm:

TheSkeletonMan939

I like trailers that are either completely unique (like Pixar's teasers), are a mash of scenes that only set up the characters, nothing more (the first AoU teaser), or just show a certain scene from the film (the Zootopia sloth trailer). Now... look at this shit. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmxLybfGNC4) I have no incentive to see this film because I KNOW THE ENTIRE FIRST HOUR+ of the film and can probably guess what the rest of it will be. The new Zootopia trailer wasn't as bad as that 5th Wave one in terms of spoiling stuff, but I still feel like a lot of it is no longer a surprise to me.

PonyoBellanote
12-31-2015, 07:47 PM
Watching the trailer for the 10th time.. I believe I may have caught some kind of glimpse of a spoiler in the new trailer.

You know how there's a emotional moment in the middle of it..? I've guessed since they are emotionally hugging and the fox has a suitcase that may be a scene of the ending. Who in the name of fuck puts that kind of scene in the trailer? Even if you want to put an emotional scene. I mean. Some people CAN guess..

I like Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Though back in 1997 video game scores weren't as common as they were in 2004 and still are today. I remember some of the music, but not all of it.

One of my favourite films of all time, Bedknobs & Broomsticks has the most innuendous joke inside.

"What's that got to do with my knob?"

So I'm watching that scene over and over.
I also remember when I first watched this film when I was ~8 or 9 years old, I actually tried the spell to make the clothes come to life.....

Great movie. That reminds me of Mary Poppins, one of my favorite movies, I think I first saw it when I was 5.

Yeah, I'm usually not a huge fan of the animation, real-life combo films but this one was really, really good.

Ha! That's probably a near-accurate depiction of how it would be if I actually was half-asleep. :p

Eveline Fischer's score to Donkey Kong Country 3. Nowhere near as good as Wise's scores for the previous two and Tropical Freeze, but it's an entertaining listen at least.

Definitely, and TF is one of the best video game scores I've heard!

Can't wait to see what he and Kirkhope do for Yooka-Laylee.

Yes. I love the music to those games so much.

Oh yeah, it could be interesting.

Edit: Listening to "Bayou Boogie (Barrel Bayou)" myself. I swear the percussion is the same exact thing or at least is sampled from "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, one of my favorite artists.
