Lol it's a film called "Exodus" about the exodus of Israel from Egypt under the leadership of Moses - does it need to actually say it's based on source material for people to know that it's the Biblical story??
But I know what you mean - it's Hollywood, so what were the chances? :p

I think it's pretty cool too but sadly it's something I will never be able to use successfully without a iPod or some other Apple product. I tried installing the iTunes player but after about a week I gave on ever having such cool results. Instead of using Windows media player I use a program called Nemp - Noch ein Mp3-Player (

That's one of the things that drive me nuts. It's as if they're intentionally putting these unknown artists on the show and advertising them because all the tweens will fall in love with it and buy their music. And because these bands are so desperate for attention that they'll settle for shows like that. Maybe that's why I don't have a single clue as to who any of the top "artists" on iTunes are -_-

The best superhero television shows I've seen are Agents of SHIELD (ignoring the first few episodes), The Spectacular Spider-Man, the 2003 incarnation of TMNT, and Young Justice. All of which did not necessarily try to appeal to a single age demographic through its writing and instead to all ages.

When I'm settled in college in September/October I'll give some thought to some recordings. Part of my responsibilities as a music scholar will be to head up an ensemble, and as they don't have a string quartet yet, I'll almost certainly start one. Then I can make recordings of my arrangements! :D
I'm actually listening to Harry Suite from ASM2 right now - that could work really well for a string quartet if arranged nicely. Another to add to my mental list, along with a ton others, including My Name Is Max from Fury Road.
I'd also love to hear Lockdown on his violin.
Same! If he's good enough to be going to music college, he must have played the Bach Double by now. We should totally record the first and second violin parts (one part each) to the same tempo and then Lockdown could send me his recording and I could synchronise them together! :D

What am I listening to at the moment? Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd. It does indeed sound reminiscent of Zimmer's Welcome To Dirt, T-1000. :)
What have I been listening to for the past hour, I hear you ask, from 12am to 1am with my sister, sitting next to each other on the edge of her bed with both our earphones plugged into my iPod with the lights off in the dark? Good question, I'm glad you asked. Let's see if I can remember...
"Heritage Of The Wolf" (5:55) - James Horner, Balto
"Death Of Titanic" (8:26) - James Horner, Titanic
"16m1 Re-Entry and Splashdown" (9:10)
"16m2 End Credits" (1st half) - James Horner, Apollo 13
"Southampton" (4:02) - James Horner, Titanic
"Opening Title" (1:30)
"Tigger's Theme" (1:35)
"Sadly, The Only One" (3:25) - Harry Gregson-Williams, The Tigger Movie
"The Zoetrope" (3:44) - Jeff Beal, The Pixar Story
"Behind Enemy Lines" (2:24)
"Fire Heroes" (2:18)
"Sad Mayday" (2:01) - Mark Mancina, Planes: Fire & Rescue
"Still I Fly" (3:59) - Spencer Lee, Planes: Fire & Rescue
"5m0-1 Fording The Stream / Sassy In The River" (5:23)
"2m3 Shadow's Confusion (No. 2)" (0:29) - Bruce Broughton, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey
"4m1 Skeeter Truck To Date" (0:53)
"6m2-3 Firing Constantine / Braid Bookstore" (5:42) - Thomas Newman, The Help
I think that was all, and in that exact order. I like introducing her to film scores she would otherwise never hear. In her mind I'm literally a film score anorak. :p

He will never sleep again.
I really don't know what to think of a second reboot to the franchise.
First reboot bombed so badly.
They should take all the neat little parts to it, all the crap that make it a special effects movie but just leave out the excessive human story.
It doesn't need anything plausible or realistic.
It just needs to be a slasher with state-of-the-art graphics.
I mean, honestly, who at the time saw it in theaters the first year the first movie came out and was scared?
I was too young for it. But when I watched it after, it was pretty damn good.
When he stretched arms from wall to wall, when slashed his fingers off one by one, when the bed rained blood.
That's all you need. :smh:

Naw, damn it. I've just woken up, and realised that I don't remember even hearing the cello entry in "6m02 Back on Earth" - I must have fallen asleep within the first 30 seconds!

Yes! Definitely! I've played Ratchet & Clank since I was 7, the first game I ever played was the first Ratchet & Clank. :D

Evan Wise (not heard of him though)
I played it a few times at a friend's house when I was very young and quite enjoyed it. It looks cool, anyway. Let's hope they do it well!

Wow. John Goodman, Sylvester Stallone, and Paul Giamatti?! I really hope it's good!

With a cast like that I'm sure it will be!
I don't want to sound rude, but it's a shame they haven't got someone well-known to score it. I'm not saying Evan Wise will be terrible, but his IMDb page says he's only scored 2 movies as of now, one of which being a short one. Oh well. We'll have to wait and see, I'll give him a chance. ;) He might blow us all away.
They should have gotten Michael Bross or David Bergeaud (who scored the games for 8 years) to do it. They know the theme well!

Is a classical old religious choral sing, but I don't really care.
Wow, could you have used more adjectives if you tried?! Lol All you needed to say was "it's an aria from Handel's Messiah." :p

It's a good feeling when you know other people are listening to and enjoying your hard work. This right here (and also Sulley - did any see his screenshots from last night when he was in bed? Geez lol) is the proof that I know it was all worth the effort :D
It's reasons like this why I do what I do. I aim to please (and as I said in another thread, take pride in what I do - both here and in real life with my job).

I don't think I've ever mucked around with covers as much as I have done with Oblivion. There's just so much amazing material to use.
It was so abundantly clear throughout the movie that the filmmakers were pure artists. So many awesome shots. Great framing, beautiful cinematography. I take my hat off to Mr. Kosinski. His vision was realised in such a spectacular way that if I were him, I'd be satisfied with my life now that my dream had become such an amazing reality. :p

Speaking of Oblivion with it being a great movie and all (I know he disagrees a bit but enjoys the score), where has Helix gone? Does anyone know? I feel bad that it's taken me this long to notice :(
