I hate cinema.
I /LOVE/ watching movies in my cinema. It's a huge experience for me that I don't get home. Experiencing the great scale of SCOPE in a huge screen without black bars (though I love them), the surround, the picture quality, everything that I do not get home and can never get, I get it there. I would understand why do you hate it though. I just am lucky enough that whenever I go I don't have people annoying me or anything. Normally I have either not too much people or I go weekends over the morning. I LOOOOVE IT. I really love watching movies at the cinema. I just don't go as much because it's 20 minutes away walking. :P

PonyoBellanote

It's just 20 minutes walking, I'm a bit lazy, and with the price and the walking, you can't never risk going to every movie you wanna see, you may like them or not.
My cinema is kinda independent too, and has around 6 or more cinemas around Spain, though it doesn't look that small at all, and our cinema is the biggest they have. Our cinema has 18 salas. And Dolby Atmos, which I haven't experienced yet.

Reasons i Hate it.
1. It cost 12 for a ticket the dvd is cheaper.
This is true.
2. There are always children/people who ruin it (talk, muck around, play with phones)
This is not always true. It all depends on when you get tickets. I've only had a bad experience once or twice, because I chose a bad time to go. I've had many wonderfully quiet screenings. Like Monsters University (the first time), HTTYD 2, and, more recently, The Martian.
3. It is always sticky on tbe floors and seats
I've never experienced that.
4. Sometimes the sound is so loud it hurts my ears
This is true, but only to begin with. My ears always adjust fairly quickly.
5. If for any reason you need the toilet (you miss a bit, and it waste your money) or some one else does and blocks your view.
I make sure I won't need the loo for that very reason. And someone getting up to go to the loo only blocks your view for a few seconds.

I tried not to fangirl but by the end of the first watch I was fangirling way too darn hard. The first trailer of Zootopia; good news; it's a full joke scene more than an actual story spoiling trailer, which I like. Judging from the little I've seen the story does not seem to be too much so I would be dissapointed if I knew too much about it before watching the movie. I loved the joke; the voices are great, I already love Judy more than the fox, the fox is too darn funny, and Judy is full of personality, so much. Animation's also on point. <3

It's very rare for actual film music to be used in its trailers. You'd have to get a composer early on and ask him to make a piece specifically for the trailer.

Different kind of Marvel. We're talking MCU. Outside the MCU, I think Days of Future Past: The Rogue Cut is the best one yet.
Hmmm, it's all the same to me, Superhero Movies with Current/Ex Marvel Intellectual Property, people can call it what they want,
it's all Marvel/Disney in the End.
DC isn't much better, neither in the Cinema or Tv Category.

Ghost Rider was horrible though. Never saw the sequel.
The second was bad... but to me, the first was more tolerable. I liked it more than the other MCU entrants because I'm a Ghost Rider fan... rest of Marvel are just chumps... with two exceptions (who will never appear in the MCU sadly).
Both Fantastic 4 were also bad and let's not even talk about the third film in a franchise about mutants.

Hellsing is one of the reasons why I like anime: no American animation company would have the balls or spine to make something like that. Or Cowboy BeBop, Trigun, Black Lagoon, Lain, Ghost in the Shell, etc . . . Yes, the music from Skyward Sword is very good. You can never make that mistake with video games. Most if not almost all of them have really good music, and too many people underestimate them just because it's a "video game". A great example is the Medal of Honor series, that's some of my all time favorite music ever. Another good example is most
of Nintendo (Mario, Zelda) and Sega (Sonic the Hedgehog) music, including Skyward Sword, although most of Nintendo and Sega music is nothing like Film music but is still great :)

They just changed companies, because Interactive lost the rights after 3 years and they weren't reimbursed them for whatever stupid reasons. I think Activision took over, ruined the series by completely changing the gameplay, and the buttons that made Spyro do things before were even changed as well. They're probably not bad games but in comparison to the originals they are completely faulty.
The trilogy in my eyes is the best and I still play them.

The Star Wars Battlefront soundtrack is pretty damn epic.
anyone do a game rip of that yet?
On the note of SW vgm, Commandos was pretty fun. I kept that in queue a lot for other gaming.
the Knights of the Old Republic can have their moments.
The Force Unleashed was pretty well rounded, too.
The older SW games, though, mostly just chop up the original trilogy film scores and reuse it a lot.
Not sure if anyone did a rip to "The Old Republic" (the online mmo).

Anything for the Borderlands games is also very nice to have in the background.
They got some "Various Artists" albums with The Heavy playing their most popular song: Short Change Hero ( though a lot of people on youtube call it "This ain't no place for no hero" )

@1:24 is where it actually kicks off.
The score albums for the Borderlands is what I'm listening to these days for World of Warcraft gaming.
On that note, there's some fun classic Warcraft soundtracks. 3 comes to mind.

Trying up Dragonheart soundtrack on my Blu-ray with subwoofers on. Doesn't sound too good. Must be the subwoofer.. because on my laptop the music listened great. :P

music vs bluray, the bluray is more for dynamic range for the sfx and dialogue.
You could get better bass if you ripped the movie and played that on the laptop and used FFDShow to downmix to stereo.
From what I hear, for the subwoofer to come out really great for most 5.1 movies, you need an expensive sub with very deep range.
Most are suited for stereo playback as the front left+right channels carry all the bass, anyway.
The .1 bass is for newer movies mostly.

The whole soundtrack is beautiful but the ones featuring the main theme are the better ones. Randy Edelman outdid himself in this score.

I'm listening to the soundtrack rip in FLAC through my Blu-ray player, and a subwoofer and speakers (that are 2.1) that are connected to my TV.

Try hook those up to the laptop.
You'd get more control over normalizing and other things.
Or use an HDMI from laptop to TV and you don't have to move cables around from sub system.

After the movie came out, for a decade, they would re-use the theme in a lot of trailers.
