I don't remember much of it. Again, I saw at whichever year it was released, or possibly the year after. I just didn't often pay much attention, just looking at the screen every couple minutes or so, also it depended on what was on, and / or how well it kept my interest.
I do remember an Evil Kenevil sort of scene, but that's about all.
:erm: For part 1?
I recommend watching it again.
And then just watch the trailer for part 2.
You can immediately see the difference in directing and just overall production value.
It really feels like Uwe Bowell got his hands on it somehow. :vomit:
Watching The Producers. 2005 remake.
Friends and I were singing some of the parts while playing The Elder Scrolls Online.
Although, we were more or less just shouting some of the lines and lyrics.

Imagine, Generation IV remakes on the Nintendo Switch? Oh the possibilities.
The next Pokmon game in the Switch would definitely be another huge change just like the change from DS to 3DS was. Imagine a Pokemon mainstream game with console power.. no more 3DS pixel limits.. no more 240p, but 720p.

New age composers, it's very difficult.
Since 100 new genres have been created.
Ever check those oldschool sites for trailer music?
Or even the tags for official bootlegs of Two Steps From Hell music?
Or even some iTunes?
Nearly 1000 new categories for types of music.
Nothing's linear and traditional as oldschool composers that founded the very music we have today.
As of late, Giacchino can mostly be identified for his jaunty action music.
It's light percussion.
He has sort of a "jungle" theme to it. If you remember some dance/trance/techno music using "jungle" styles (Mortal Kombat movie soundtracks).
He's the complete opposite of heavy percussionist Brian Tyler.

Those are old composers from simpler times.
Composers today can't do traditional.
Kids are have ADHD so the music needs to evolve rapidly.
It has to sound like it was written under the heavy influence of cocaine.
I just did enlighten you.
It's generational.
You can't compare new-age Giacchino to oldschool Williams.
One has themes, the other just has style.
The fact you know the oldschool composers more than Giacchino, proves it.

no they don't.
It's just that they are auotmatically processed to dvd or bd.
The encode settings are what defines everything.
In cases of automation, it's a lot like itunes. All crap quality.
There's minimal human supervision in their processing.
The market for them is a lot smaller than their live-action.
None of my friends nor family (that I can visit in person) care about cartooon movies.
Even though the adult themes are more than convincing than live action blockbusters.
It'd be a waste of resources to pay supervisors to do quality-checks.
I've seen plenty of movies released on blurays for Canada/USA that have terrible banding.
But when another country does it, zero banding.
Maybe the other countries just have placebo-like settings to begin with why their transfers are better.

It should be in their practice to keep first-generation masters.

Or to create a new transfer for limited broadcasting.
Those venues are cheaper than reproducing new discs.

Of course. I recognize Giacchino's fast-paced, exciting, dissonant, and sometimes bombastic (or lighter, but definitely reliant on brass), not too melodic action cues. That's one of the aspects I like about him, his action style, that which you can hear in Call of Duty's (that's its majority) and Jurassic World's action tracks. If you want examples, I'll give 'em.
I've also sometimes noticed a particular fashion or have gotten an impression from his use of brass, and / or sometimes other instruments. There's other similarities throughout a number of his scores I wouldn't really do well to describe, other than "that's just Michael Giacchino". If you'd prefer I elaborate, I'll try my best, but it might turn out ugly. :p

A drunken petal to the metal approach I think can substantiate to an enjoyable experience more so often than dislikable. It really comes to down to differentiating judgement of what one generally enjoys... even a critically shunned piece of music can sometimes prove to be entertaining.

Really? It's a classic Zimmer method. Just the same musical figure repeated ad infinitum, but with more elements piled on and on until the listener is steamrollered.
The first twenty seconds are exhilarating until you realize that's all you're getting. There's no payoff or climax.
Sometimes that method works. It gives Inception and Interstellar a 'stream of consciousness' or 'train of thought' atmosphere. Very fluid for listening in the film and out of it (fatiguing if you overindulge though).
But 160 BPM is just silly in my opinion. There's no development, or at least real development. I've never seen the movie but I guess it's a suite of some kind, so that may explain why it's not terribly good for listening.

It's not like I think the guy is total shit either, it's just that I think a lot of his scores play better as 8-15 minutes suites or as compacted 30 minute albums, because past the 30 minute mark the paucity of invention and compositional aptitude really begins to show through, particularly in scores like Interstellar and Inception.
And sometimes his ideas are just frightfully juvenile to begin with.

It would surely help to be educated to that extent at the least. It could greatly benefit anyone who hasn't. And even though you may can get by entirely self-taught, and such, on as little as no education, not being able to read sheet music (I think that might be Nobuo Uematsu), you can facilitate if you know the various methods of and how music works and the fundamentals. Following standard methods don't allow for much interesting and rich creativity, but I think they can help one along to way to craft compositions with more character.
I often times find my own work is too repetitive, so it could definitely benefit myself to be actually knowledgeable on the subject, in that way. Though being self-taught isn't too detrimental.

Not true. Elfman dove into educating himself into the finer points of composition in the 90s, and it shows. As for Ms. Walker:
"Walker was a piano soloist with the San Francisco Symphony during high school, and later attended San Francisco State University on a piano scholarship.[6] She studied music composition under Roger Nixon and piano studies with Harald Logan of Berkeley, California."
You can't become a recognized conductor of music if you don't know how individual instruments work alone and in concert and why certain combinations work and other don't. She was noted to remark on Elliot Goldenthal that he wasted the orchestra.

"Though being self-taught isn't too detrimental." stemmed entirely from that point. In fact, it probably isn't detrimental at all. Because not having any education can let you learn and find your own style that may be so unique, something that might not happen when "following the books".

Not true. Elfman dove into educating himself into the finer points of composition in the 90s
I miss those years of his career.

So true!
Exaggerated, but very realistic in it's message regardless.
I should put Moby on my list of things I'll take forever to get to listening.

Surprised how well the Vivaldi piece fits with the rest of the suite, the first section, which I think is part of the score. There's actually some related notes and melodies being shared.
Truly one of the best creative decisions and / or liberties ever taken by Sonic.

On essentially my first listening, this score is exceptional. A lot of very good moments.
Rose Of Arimathea is just beautiful..
The second half of this cue, particularly.

Only in Hans' wildest fantasy could he erect 9 minutes of architecturally sound contrapuntal piece like "Come Maddalena" (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O96p6ZcO_B4).
Follow that with "Erotcio Mistico" (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMMDivtYey8) from the same score… and then go back and listen to "160 BPM".

Won't lie, "160 BPM" sound heavily inspired by those cues... and they are far more interesting.

Just the AC3 stream and I think I added timecodes for the chapters.
Be very cautious when uploading.

Perhaps something like that should be split into multiple password protected rars in separate password protected folders. May sound like overkill, but since they have a thumbprint of that particular upload any duplicate will go down just as fast.

I swear, every time he types early on in the movie, all I can hear from the sound of the keys being hit is....
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
You know how every key has a distinct sound based on X,Y coordinates on the typewriter?
Just like phones assign different tones to each button.
I can literally hear the letters as he types.

She's been mocked on the show countless times before. "Waking Up With Kimye" was always a good one.

Watched Jack Reacher: Never Go Back last night.
Disappointing. The sequel lost the first film's hard edge, interesting secondary characters and strong villain. Zwick was a poor replacement in both the writing and directing departments. It's quite clear McQuarrie, writer and director of the first film, was instrumental in making the film work.

But I don't actually know anybody, aside from when I was in elementary school, I had a small group of two very good friends. But just as what can happen often, since I was out of public school following the conclusion of 3rd grade, we stopped hanging out within 4 years or so. Kind of a long time period, but I was still in the same vicinity for a good portion of those 4 years. I would probably be lucky if I found anyone my age in real life that shares similar interests to my own.
And, ah, man, I had Vivaldi stuck in my head all day yesterday. It was wonderful.

How Was Class, Any Good?
Beyond The Doctor's appearance and the musical references that accompanied him I found it very bad, and I've seen that the fandom is very much divided on what they think of it. You should at-least watch it to see what it's like; even though I personally wouldn't actually recommend it to anyone.

OR HIM! YES. Equally good choice.
Although...the 5 minute preview of the season premiere, it didn't show Rick crying.
So it's someone he doesn't really care about.
Or maybe he's just too worn out to care about anyone else dying.
Like he has no more will to live.
Time to replace him with a new main character.

Without listening to the whole album i can't choose my favorite tracks. Initially i'll pay attention to listen complete album, later i'll pick individual tracks that i likes much and deletes which i don't like. I don't create playlists and whenever I listen to music, I listen it in Shuffle mode so every track in my library needs to fulfill me.
