That was a pretty good film. The ending was interestingly ambiguous. It didn't quite leave the impression that one of them was wiser than the other, which I thought was an interesting way to finish up. It suited the story.

Just watched Oblivion on the big screen with my best friend - he really liked it! I enjoyed it even more the second time round. :)

1) Olga Kurylenko
2) Morgan Freeman
3) Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Although, Coster-Waldau was largely underplayed. Had no room to breathe.
I suspect he was more busy doing "Mama (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2023587)". He excelled in the opening to that movie.

Kosinski knows how to make a movie. Atmosphere and tone really match. The settings and scenery are really well-placed.
I just love the score to death.

I would love to see Joseph Kosinski do a live-action movie for Portal.

Richard Armitage is excellent as Dolarhyde. Disturbing introduction, well acted.

The Walking Dead season 6 premiere was good.
Kind of want to hold off until the bluray comes out.
All iTunes and HDTV rips are just plain poor. You can see the loss of details in everything because they're grain-filled TV shows but no distributer wants to compensate for that.

Hope all is well with you, buddy. Unfortunately the non-virtual world can be rather time-consuming, can't it? I haven't spent much time here lately due to all my course work at uni, but it's good to still be around every now and then. And yes, us awesome people are still here. :D

Looking forward to seeing you around on the CC Thread sometime soon... ;)

 Downloaded a 720p of that having never seen it.
Turned it off half way and deleted it.
None of us could actually sit through it any longer.

While we love the cast, it looks more and more like a montage of college-student projects.
It was all done just for the shits and giggles of film making.

A few years ago I was bored and made a fan trailer for the film. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiSdDOkVfi0)

Looking back I don't like what I did very much... too story-focused.

I took the fight scene in the alley, the ninjas vs Red Hood (then Batman joins). And went right up until Red Hood disappears.
And added a lot of score from Kick-Ass (first movie).

I even took the flashback scene with Batman and Robin taking down the Riddler scene and added Kick-Ass score to that, too.

Had them up on my old youtube account but they got taken down.
Tried other sites like Yahoo!Videos but they closed videos for consumers and it's all business now.
Don't have the video anymore, I would have re-reate it.

Here's a teaser trailer I did. The video edits I did also contained a longer edit of "Shipping Down To Boston".

I have been listening to a lot of the NEON GENESIS EVANGELION I-III albums. I'm really loving "Both of you, Dance Like You Want to Win!", and "When I Find Peace of Mind".
Especially 0:54-1:42 of that track. There are so many other bangers on those albums like "DECISIVE BATTLE" also counting the alternate versions such as "THE BEAST II"
I also really like the way these albums sound/the way they are produced. Rebuild of Evangelion was decent sounding but doesn't hit that vintage sound as much.

Maybe. Different shows have different ways of mixing the audio. Some shows have SFX all over the place and others have the music all by itself. You have to get lucky. Normally I'm able to get at least a few unreleased tracks off of a 5.1 mix.

But I'm willing to give any TV show you want me to look at a shot.

There's 4 prelude shorts they made.
1 prelude TV movie (some places will label this as "episode 1" incorrectly).

And then season 1.

And then another TV movie.

"Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion" is the TV movie that precedes season 1, episode 1: Droids In Distress.

The TV movie after season is listed under season 2.

Seems like before each season starts, they get a TV movie.

My god! You're such a great support to iTunes and digital download platforms, ostgems. No offense.
I wish, I do the same, but I prefer the actual CDs release. Old school. Haha.

Ditto, I always go with the CD... I prefer having a physical copy of the music I own.

DAK is really old-school, he does vinyl. :p

20 € for digital lossless vs 50 € for the cd (cd + international shipping and customs/taxes), i go with digital. 30 € to get the booklet in paper are not worth it to me ;)

Just had a video chat with my best buddy. Yeah, at 1:20am. But I really am going to bed now, honest.

I posed the idea of watching the first BttF on the all-important Wednesday night to my flatmates and they thought it was a brilliant idea. So we'll probably do that. Looking forward to it. :)

For some people, that booklet in paper with a little signed autograph by the artist/composer is worth it. ;)

Goddammit, why can't the main Pokmon games have music this epic? Like seriously, even this TYPING GAME has the most epic Boss Battle theme I have ever heard in my entire life...

Pokmon X & Y's champion theme was absolutely phenomenal. Even more epic than the one you quote.

There's nothing better

And for others, a 12" gatefold vinyl is even better when you open it up and it's like a book ;)

Started in the ol' STS thread.
I can't remember how it started. There were a lot of different "this" emotes we used from bookmarked photobuckets and other slew of photo hosts.
There was a nice Louis CK "this" we used a lot too.

The Dark Crystal Overture - Trevor Jones

I watched the beginning of this movie a few months ago on my iPod in bed. I wanna finish it sometime - it looked good. Is the score any good?

Currently listening to some of Knight and Day by John Powell - I have a track in the sessions with no slate number called "Someone Who Trusts". Does anyone know where it fits in with the rest of the score?

Just wondering.
