Is Bart Oss still around in some kind of form? I was hoping he'd have some custom BvS suites to share. Him getting banned is one thing, but I liked his custom suites a lot. The BvS OST tends to get LOUD quite a lot, so a suite that incorporates the more melodic parts (more in line with MoS) would have been great.

Doctor Who: christ, I didn't think this show could devolve any further into gibbering, expository nonsense, but it has. Moffat can't leave the Tardis behind fast enough.

Star Trek: First Contact: Despite the many contrivances and plot holes the narrative depends upon to get from point A to Z, a still entertaining, albeit sexist, middle-brow B movie that's carried by persuasive enough performances, attractive sfx, moody lensing by Leonetti and a robust, intelligent score by Goldsmiths pre et fil.

With all the news about the spider-man legacy blu-ray re-release for homecoming, I wonder if they will do a legacy soundtrack album or digital release as well? A guy can hope right? It would really compliment and boost sales if they were to release scores from all the films with maybe a bit of unreleased material like the film version of some cues. Also theres a rumour that the spider-man re-release will feature director's cuts for spider-man 3 and the amazing spider-man franchise, I hope that true or at least 3 gets a 3.1 :)

iTunes has no control over system sound output. Whatever the issue is it's between how your middleman audio software is interfacing with your Mac's built in sound output.

Hey man thanks for your response, its a plug in which works on specific programs running like firefox output to enhance the audio. However it no longer supports the latest version of itunes. So I need a new media player to be able to use the app/plug in again, The audio enhancer program I use is called hear by prolabs if that helps. Looks like you made the move! So did I.

Time for a short story. After what was seemingly a never-ending process of the music beginning to freeze - start again for about a millisecond - and ultimately freeze again, (this being after about 10-20 minutes of listening to music while doing other things) I would have to force-close out of iTunes, and since it wouldn't open again after doing that, I would always have to restart the computer and this process would just repeat itself. I soon just decided to see if updating would fix the problem, and it certainly did. No more of the aforementioned symptoms following that. And at that point, I cared much more for functionality than chromatics. Even though that's something I still appreciated, after all that fuss I was pretty much done and just wanted the program to work the way it should. After all, the newer version has improved performance by a huge measure, alongside the fact that I still love the design and interface - save for the lack of colors and not-completely-square cover artwork, although I've gotten used to that.

Currently, nothing that bothered me about it before bothers me nearly as much now, having used it for about a month or so. I only wonder what made you upgrade.

ahhh man the defenders soundtrack is a pretty good listen. Man I don't know whats up with Paesano and his 15 track limit, unfortunately it doesn't even clock out at an hour. But most cues were awesome. It's a shame that the cue when matt is playing the piano is not included. It was a fantastic 1 minute melody. Maybe someone will rip it. What are your thoughts?

Overall the series was enjoyable and I wish it ran a bit longer but as an avid daredevil comic reader/collector,it sets up something I believe everyone is looking forward to for daredevil.

I think that IT is a very well-executed film. I didn't pay much attention to the score... but I honestly disliked that the film was going too much for jump scares and not long, suspenseful scenes (though there are one or two of them). Oh, and the kids are all dumb. They purposely follow Pennywise, while perfectly knowing that he wants to kill them and separate them from the others...

As for War for the Planet of the Apes, I loved it. Incredible acting, terrific visual effects, very well written and directed. The music weirdly enough doesn't have much thematic continuity with the previous film (scored by Giacchino as well), but I loved it especially because it plays a huge part of the storytelling, since most of the characters barely say a word in the entire film.

Bladerunner 2049

An overlong fetishistic muddle that climaxes with a low rent Boss Battle and a retread of Batty's death, but using snow this time. The only scene I found remotely affecting was the confrontation between Deckard and Wallace. When the score isn't attempting to emulate or regurgitate Vangelis' masterwork, it's seems content to just punctuate scene changes with deep bass hits. Resurrecting "Tears in the Rain" was the final nail in the coffin.
