Biggest Thing i hate about the Remake is Claire's Face, it just looks off :D I can't get over it.

I personally love the game and can’t get enough of it. One of the best things I’ve played in a long time. I got the Deluxe, so I guess I could swap in the OG soundtrack but I chose not to. I’ve literally been listening to the original soundtrack for 20 years already - photographic proof provided upthread. I’d rather experience this thing for what it is, at least for the first time around. I will say the new soundtrack hasn’t really done much for me yet but maybe I have to give it some time to grow on me. So far I have no real issues though (besides that download :P)


I feel like this is the best parts of every entry in the series finally coming together into one. RE2 was already one of my faves but this really might take the top spot for me, and I generally HATE remakes. My only minor nitpick so far is that the initial trek to the RPD seems a little unnaturally short compared to the original.

You're welcome. I'm so sad that it's MP3 and not even the best of what MP3 has to offer. I know we have to be "grateful" that it was released period but for $200 that I shelled out (and I bought two of these o_o), it was the least they could do. I wasn't aware Europe got a physical release so here's to hoping some a EU friend on here can provide us with a copy (Not through here of course due to regulations but elsewhere).

I feel bad for the people who won't be able to get Metro Exodus on Steam as they are taking it off the platform (and hopefully, it doesn't harm sales).

As for the OST, I am eagerly awaiting it as the music was quite distinct from most VGMs on here.

I'm just wondering what the source is for this? The user says it's in-game.
"The original Cave Story doesn't use .ogg files, instead it uses a custom format (more info here (http://www.cavestory.org/download/music.php)). To save myself the trouble, I downloaded the .ptcop files from that website and used ptPlayer to export them as .wav files. Then I converted them to .flac and tagged them."

This definitely seems like a new development, last time I checked I'm pretty sure lossless wasn't available yet. I have the soundtrack in MP3 still and also a Cave Story Soundtrack (Remastered), though I have no idea where that one came from... I suppose it's the soundtrack from when Nicalis republished the game multiple times, but it's all MP3 320kbps too. Thanks for bringing this update to my attention!

Version 3.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Enhanced Original Soundtrack is now live!

BLAMMO! Just like that we finally got proper 1:1 conversion tools for Ultimate's file format! I utilized that in this version of the rip, and toned down some of the effects I used previously to compensate for the low quality we dealt with before. This rip is now a lot more in line with my other stuff, and sounds much better than any previous version. The clean rip really shows, and the soundtrack takes on a whole different sound profile because of this. Overall I'd say the album is much more smooth and a LOT more true to the source material while still being immensely improved with my patent-pending 'Special Mix'. I also split the FLAC into five (completely independent) zip files, each around 1GB, for ease of download since so many people were having trouble. Thanks for the heads-up on the tools SonicRings4.

Right now I have it split between 2 MEGA accounts, and they're both almost full. Google has 100GB and a 200GB plan for $20 and $30 respectively, MEGA has 200GB for ~$56 and 1TB for ~$113. I wouldn't mind the Google, as 200GB should be enough for me for a while, but I've not really seen many others here use drive links. Are they at a higher risk of being taken down? I know they're the preferred hoster for games...

I think Mega is probably a lot easier to use and links appear to stay up here for longer because Mega themselves don't know what the files contain as they are encrypted.

Woah, and outta left field, I thought to check Mediafire, as I haven't been there for a while. They have a crazy good price! It's $45 for 1TB of space! They've been around a while, and I see lots of links by them here even. And they seem to be the longest surviving, I even downloaded a link from a post from like, 7 years ago and it was still up! I'm definitely thinking I'll go with them, anyone have any experience or reason not to? Pricing is best otherwise with Google, and I really don't want to use them for this stuff...

And yeah, I'll give it a go in a bit, it should be up in a bit.

Upgrading at Mega also would probably help with downloading too as it increases the transfer quota. (I think that's why I have issues with downloading bigger files there now). Ironically downloading wise, with bigger files, I had more success with soundtracks sized 400MB-1GB+ being downloaded from GDrive. Mega on the other hand constant "Temporary Error, Retrying" errors while "Transferring" stuff.

On that note, it may be easier to do collections of soundtracks with individual download links to each of the soundtracks for those who have difficulty with trying to get the bigger ones. I'm downloading a soundtrack from an individual soundtrack reup. (the page gives the option to put it in cloud storage or to immediately download)

Also splitting it into smaller parts (for big download size [regularly excellent quality rips] soundtracks) if one insists on making folders for soundtrack collections (usually split by years) also works. Yep I used a soundtrack discography thread and had issues with downloading soundtracks (from Mega [transfer/download from cloud storage]). I really like the KH: BBS soundtrack a few posts up that is split into parts as a transfer download from mega.

Hmm, I mean, I've been using MEGA for a while and love them, but the pricing is amazing for Mediafire! I mean, 1TB from them is cheaper than 200GB from MEGA, and I have 2 almost full MEGA accounts. I've only been slowing my rips/uploads for lack of space, so I don't think 200GB would last me long. I mean, MF's been around forever and I've downloaded files that are many many years old, so obviously they don't take tons of stuff down. Honestly, I could probably count on one hand how many times I've clicked on a Mediafire link that was dead or removed. Are there any other big uploaders here who have lots of experience with Mediafire? $45 a year versus ~$120 is much more appealing, and easier to get the boss to agree to. :)

Anyway, finished the rip of Everblue 1 (it's on my lossless page), but I have a question about 2: the shmuper, where did you get your rip? The only present chip rip I've found has way different songs than you've provided in your upload, but yours are consistent with the likes of YouTube videos and soundtracks. And where did you get the track listing? Just trying to shorten my hunting time. :)

PS: The most info I could find on Composers is that Ayako Saso (https://squareenixmusic.com/composers/saso/index.shtml) did, or was largely responsible for, the soundtracks. At the time she worked under Hosoe's team, maybe that's where his name came from. But for ripping purposes, I was going to put "Capcom Sound Team" as the "Album Artist," and the 3 names listed on the wiki page for "Artist."

I've been using MediaFire myself since 2011, at least according to my payment history (Not only for my own music collections). I've only had a couple of occasions when MediaFire stamped a "Oi! That's copyrighted laddie" notice on a file (Singular files that weren't 'Zipped'), I've never seen nor been notified of any data being taken down (I had one odd occasion, but that appeared to be an error). I do have to wonder if that's just luck though, as I don't believe my tendency to update my older uploads or '7-Zip them', split or otherwise has anything to do with it.
I used to have numerous upload failure issues (Often luckily with progress saved for retries), but their latest iteration for the service seems to have gotten better and I've had no hiccups since (Keeping in mind I've never uploaded files/parts any bigger than 3GB as I'm not necessarily equipped for frequent large-data uploads). I've only had to change plans once from the old "MediaPro $9 monthly" to "Pro 1TB Yearly" at the end of 2017 after I was beginning to reach my 250GB storage limit, but it was cheaper & offered 4x the storage than I previously had, so it was practical to do so.

As a Steam user, Valve seems to still put MediaFire under their "Unsafe" link listings (With MEGA since appearing to have been removed from that list, with Google Drive & Dropbox seemingly never being on it to my knowledge), but I've yet to be informed of any drawbacks to MediaFire besides what I've described/encountered. Admittedly, the temptation to look into MEGA or Google Drive has been there as alternatives, but MediaFire has done well enough for myself. That's as much as I can say on the matter, and I'd imagine plenty here are much more familiar with such services than myself and can perhaps provide more useful information.

Awesome info! I forgot to mention really my only concern; if something gets taken down, what's the notification process like? MEGA makes it unaccessible, but I can still see what it is (so I can just re-upload it). I believe I heard that Google just deletes it and notifies you that something's been deleted? I could be wrong. But either way, if not I can just constantly save snapshots of my collection, but if it just gives it a strikeout and I can re-upload it, that would be fantastic! Thanks again for the information!

I wish I could elaborate on that specifically. The "error" I had in question was actually two occasions looking back. It was a link for a WAV album .ZIP, then a FLAC .ZIP link for the same album that were reported down, and I had no understanding as to why they went down. Since MediaFire never contacted nor notified me to any issue, nor do I recall encountering the links at all functioning (MediaFire links that expire at least leave a notice behind after all, unless there's something I missed), I chocked it up to being some sort of error seeing that it hasn't happened again since (I have made at least one re-upload for the collection as a whole, and sometimes I didn't get any "Failure to Upload" notices during the period when I was prone to see them happen, so it might've been my error, not MediaFire's actions).

It is definitely worth noting that the only e-mail notifications I've had from MediaFire have been financially related. The files I had marked "Copyrighted" never disappeared, nor did MediaFire notify me directly about it. Otherwise, I have no record nor recollection of MediaFire contacting me for anything else, so unless there have been changes since that long-ago occasion or anybody else can speak from experience, I'd like to hope there's more communication than I'm lead to believe there is.

Took the names from a video I found on nico, and the credits from Yasui's Tumblr page (which seems to be dead now). Aren't you mistaking everblue 1 with everblue 2?
and yeah, Saso is the main composer of the Blue series except for that entry.

Interesting fact is that uploader of this release was rewarded with 1.8+ TB upload on RED (via requests system). This rip is from RED.
It was also updated there since Album title contained Disc number in the field. Tags are not that consistent too, can be improved (check TRACKTOTAL and DISCTOTAL for Disc #1, for example). No big deal, but still.

It was reprinted February 22, 2019 with a brand new Windows 10 compatible version of the game, so I bought it myself and imported it, especially for this extremely hard-to-get professional authentic recording from an actual PC-88 that was done by EGG Music, the distributors of Sorcerian Complete. This CD only comes with the package.

This is a MASSIVE update, as I re-ripped the audio from scratch in order to create a FLAC version, get a truer sound, increase the volume, fix numerous tagging issues, add some unused songs that I (strangely) didn't include in the original rip, and cut the size of the MP3 version down by about 200 MB because it is now MP3 V0 (ripped using LAME 3.10, the newest version) as opposed to MP3 320.

Bizargh, I'm curious, is there any reason in particular you offer FLAC as well as WAV? And FLAC level 5 instead of level 8?

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did CD-rip to FLAC via EAC for this & NIOH, so I've corrected those link descriptions (Copy-paste oversights I need to be more vigilant of).
Otherwise, I opted for Level 5 when providing personal conversions/compressions to FLAC as I quite some time ago read mixed reports on the loading times on playback (At least for low-end machines) for Level 8, with Level 5 considered a happy middle-ground (Or "Default" as dbPoweramp suggests). This is probably old information mind you, but I have found it hard to find an reliable consensus for an up-to-date education on the subject since (Only thing I can tell you is that compressing to Level 5 via dbpoweramp can be noticeably faster than Level 8 even with the high-end specs I have, and 16bit & 24bit samples I tested today didn't produce significant differences, with maybe 4mb or 1% of compression the best advantage Level 8 provided me, but maybe that's just proving the point about the loading/compression times).

I additionally CD-rip to WAV for a number of reasons of my own (Video/audio editing desires, a convenient uncompressed base to compress to anything desired/required, etc), but I figure it's an uncompressed option people can simply make use of (Particularly if my compressed offerings fail to satisfy). But I still provide FLAC as it's a favoured choice, nor makes a fuss about non-English characters for metadata for which WAV only seems to accept via foobar2000. The MP4 (Apple Lossless) conversion is just to provide an option for iTunes/Apple users without going lossy (Plus it too isn't fussy about non-English characters for metadata neither).

Call it unnecessary (And you're probably right), but since I can't claim to be knowledgeable in this respect, better to tick more boxes than perhaps needed than too few, especially if my links somehow end up going far & wide (MediaFire seems to think my old SOCOM 4 FLAC link has with the five-figure downloads it's recorded, which is a total outlier from anything else I provided in the past & provide in the present here or elsewhere). Plus, I always feel the need to go at least one step beyond the digital storefronts, especially if what I share remains available in such form, so providing multiple lossless formats (Something I've only known Bandcamp & Qobuz to universally provide) seems an ideal start (Though I tend to place more importance on wholesome staff credits and/or more fulfilling metadata).

Ah, thank you for explaining your thought process behind this. I can definitely appreciate you trying to go above and beyond in the things you do!

I can say with utmost certainty that providing only a FLAC is more than enough, since every format can be derived from FLAC with no additional loss. As well, you are right about FLAC level 8 taking longer to encode, but that's the thing: it's only a one-time thing that you, and only you, have to deal with when converting from whatever format you started with (WAV, or even FLAC with a different level of compression). It takes maybe a few extra seconds per album, but is negligible, and does not affect playback in any meaningful way, meaning there's no real downside to making FLAC level 8.

It will save you a lot of time and space to simply provide one FLAC level 8. If someone wants a different format, they are free to convert it themselves. Providing 3 different lossless formats is very redundant, moreso than 3 lossy formats because in this case, the 3 lossless formats all identical in quality. By providing a single FLAC level 8 download, you'll be making things easier for yourself and you'll still be doing god's work to those who want a lossless download. :)

I'll be certain to keep that very much in mind on my future shares & updates. Cheers!

It was only enclosed with the German limited edition. It was also on iTunes with two tracks more, but sadly that version is not provided anymore.

Also if you step by Leon Scott Kennedy I found a new link for HEAVY RAIN soundtrack in FLAC that was posted in 2017 the tracklist is different from the iTunes one. Sadly I don't know how that kind of forum works plus it's in chinese I think, but if anyone manage to grab it please tell me. I didn't linked the forum because I didn't know if it was forbidden or no. By just googling "Normand Corbeil flac" you'll see it quickly in the results. This isn't worth the hassle. A few days ago I tried uploading a .zip of an album 3 times for my friend with the expiry set to 7 days/1 download and 3 days/1 download and on top of the fact that the upload speed was 50-100KB/s, all 3 times the download failed for my friend and expired because it counted as 1 download. This is not mentioning the times the upload failed on my end.
Until they fix it I can't see myself using it unfortunately.

I guess it's free RAM issue since Firefox Send uses E2EE (end-to-end encryption) and encryption/decryption happens inside the browser (see https://github.com/mozilla/send/blob/master/docs/faq.md#how-big-of-a-file-can-i-transfer-with-firefox-send). The file size in our case is 1.8 GiB - quite large.
Anyway obviously nobody isn't interested in some technobabble so there is a mirror (updated the post as well):

I've always shared my shares in public. Just sayin'. Piracy somehow becomes noble if you limit it to a small clique, or so they say. That way your efforts and time spent to spread the product around to new ears is limited, and thus potential for sales boost is diminished. Plus, you gain the privileged feeling from exclusive 'elicit sharing', thus fulfilling your fantasy of committing an intellectual crime (something which dies not exist), in the shadows.

It is no problem at all to get the soundtracks from Bonesatyr. Either on the way he wants (you only need Twitter) or you search for his Pastebin. If it's his decision not to share anything here in the forum, for whatever reason, you should respect his decision. Regardless of the fact that sharing soundtracks isn't really allowed anyway.

I assume it has to do with the drive I'm using or the quality of the disc, which is not in the greatest condition (even with CueRipper I got 3/4 verified as accurate for the last track, the others were 4/4). CueRipper exports a log, is EAC's different? I'm just questioning and procrastinating, if it's gotta be EAC I'll go with it.

I like dbpoweramp a little better in my opinion.

EAC to me is associated to past glorified elitist what.cd assholes and their 100% anal wanting logs...

If you can use another drive, try it. EAC is the standard for most trackers these days so it's easy to tell that your rip is the best it can be if you use EAC and produce a log like every other rip that's scored using EAC logs.

It's really easy, too, once it's set up correctly:
1. F4
2. Action > Create CUE > the one with (noncompliant)
3. Shift + F6
4. ????????????????????????????????????
5. Profit!

By the way, you should really name the album you want instead of just lazily pasting the vgmdb link and expecting your would-be request filler to click it just to find out what it is you're after. I would have missed this completely had Kotomine13 not quoted a post with that pic. I had never seen that album art before and thought there was a new Pokemon OST or something lol.
