This message comes to me always when I use Firefox.
That's why I've been using Chrome for.

(btw, I always add the files to my Mega account and use "zip-download". Because lately, Mega often has problems...)

I always use Safari for regular web browsing, but I'm forced to use a different browser for MEGA. I always use Chrome since MEGA came back online.
I'll try the Zip download thing

Tanarath, this soundtrack appears to be up at BlackJesusChristos's Lossless Vault (Thread 133849). Be sure to thank him for it!

Also, do your homework.Thank you for the link. I forgot about the 'Combat Evolved' title, and spending an hour getting my old password, then searching through for every conceivable halo combination just exhausted me. With spring 'break' coming up, my HW shall be complete.

it already is like that with 1.03b .. you use "CheckLog logfile.log" .. you rename logfile to whatever the log file is named. and it shows if its been edited or not.

What programs do you use rip your BRD's? I know I've seen you mention Handbrake before, is that it?

Actually I use something called Clown_BD .. I ripped the TrueHD/AC3 files from the .m2ts files.. and converted them to flac... however I'm not sure if TrueHD is lossless.. but eh.. i didnt care at the time.

Oh, sorry if i wasn't clear. I was referring to BR Video, not Blu-Ray audio like the FFX HD remaster OST or FFXIV OST.

Oh, sorry if i wasn't clear. I was referring to BR Video, not Blu-Ray audio like the FFX HD remaster OST or FFXIV OST.

Well, the FFX HD remaster and the FFXIV soundtracks are actually videos (to prevent piracy I believe). What I did to rip both of my FFXIV soundtracks (works for movies and any other type of media too) is the next:

1.- Run Anydvd to remove disc protection
2.- Find within the disc the files you want (usually on STREAM)

3.- Use TSMuxer to demux the files (separates everything (subs, audio, video)), select only the audio file.

4.- Put the TSMuxer output in the container/format you prefer.

By the way, a question for everyone, what do you use to manage your music and transfer it to your portables? Used to use Songbird to transfer songs, but it is dead. Haven't found a way to do it with Foobar.

@ZeroEX
I personally use a synching program called "DirSyncPro" to keep in sync the "playlist" I have on my PC and the memory card that's in the phone (Galaxy Note 3 unlocked, 64GB Micro SDHC). Mind you, the "playlist" as I call it is 95% FLAC and is about 51 GB in size. It contains almost 70 Full metal albums and about 1500 VGM tracks as well as Touhou music, Classical and Classics from the 80s and 90s.
As my phone only has MTP and no Mass Storage Device capabilities I have to take out the SD card and put it in a usb stick reader to sync it with DirSyncPro. Almost no software supports MTP, that's why I can't simply use the progam to transfer to the phone...

Before that, when I used a Portable Media Player, such as a sony one or later a Sandisk Sansa with 32 GB Micro SD card. I had to re-convert everything to MP3 (with foobar) everytime I made significant changes to my music "playlist", it was tedious. And I then plugged the player with USB onto the PC and transfered data in Mass Storage Device mode with drag-n-drop or with a copy program.

Thanks for the reply, that app seems pretty good, sadly I only transfer 5-star rated stars (have a lot of music), so that app might not be best for me. I think my main issue is with the ratings. Songbird and Foobar shared the same rating file system, sadly with Mediamonkey it rates from 1-100 instead of 1-5, and for some weird reason Nightingale is not reading the rating (it's based on Songbird). I will have to keep looking for a solution, if I can not, I will have to reorganize and use the DirSyncPro.

Ok. I've had nothing but trouble with SlySoft in the past so i prefer not to use AnyDVD HD. Thanks though.

I use iTunes. lol I convert all my stuff to ALAC. The only issue i've encountered so far was with the FFX HD rip. Even after converting to ALAC it won't play through my iPod, but will play through iTunes. I believe because of the unusually high fidelity offered by the BRD media

You will need to check what the Ipod can handle. You might neeed something like the Fiio X3.

Ipod won't play sample rate above 48KHz, Supposedly even then, the output is down converted to 44.1. Same goes for 24 bit.

I guess you could convert those Blu-Ray files to 16-bit/44.1 KHz ALAC files.

Here's a giant list of everything even remotely related to Ar Tonelico that I've been able to find in FLAC minus the few things that were already here.

A good bit of this comes from the bakabt torrent, but a lot doesn't

I'll be separating the uploads into sections.

A few soundtracks feature songs from more than one of the games so I just kind of arbitrarily placed those.

If I'm lucky, I'll have my FF X/X-2 HD Collection at the end of this week.

I have learned to never buy anything from the Square store because they use Digital River.

I hate Digital River.

I had to cancel my order and get one off eBay to be able to get this at all.

Anyway, let me know if I made any mistakes.

From experience, the most my iPod 3G can play is 24 bits/48Khz. So if the source is anything above that, converting to ALAC won't change the bit/sample rate. You must do a downsample to properly convert those. I'm sure the people around can jump in to give some good advice what to do with that.

It's a trade off, excellent quality for crappy GUI. I have a cowon J3 for the car and the Fiio X3 for personal use. The Cowon doesn't handle that quality, but has great quality plus amazing battery life. I miss the non-android cowons.

Upon recommendations, two weeks ago, I decided to go with YesAsia for my order of WWCE-31321~30/B | Phantasy Star Music Collection BOX 2000-2007 - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/40537) (very late to the party I know! it was released on like December 25th :0, good thing YesAsia still had a few copies left! :3)
I chose Free Shipping as it was available.
I'm still unsure if I'll open and rip it when it arrives mainly because there is at least one rip floating around on ASTOST (though it's hosted on the sh***y baidu), as well as a lossy rip from GameMP3s available via BitTorrent.

PS: Has someone bought soundtracks from members of the VGMDB forums ? I'm looking at a tasty VGCD-0021 | DIGITAL DEVIL SAGA ~Avatar Tuner~ 1 & 2 Original Sound... - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/5565) for a slightly steep 100€ (near mint state though).
I'm struggling not to give the guy a PM as I LOVE the DDS games and their music ! But I'm a little worried about the transactions (paypal ? Buyer pays first then seller sends goods I guess ?)
(And Yes I do know one important track is missing from the collection, but everything can't be purrfect can it ?)

Oh, sorry if i wasn't clear. I was referring to BR Video, not Blu-Ray audio like the FFX HD remaster OST or FFXIV OST.

My process in that case is..

MakeMKV to produce the folder structure with .m2ts files (aka BDMV).. then I take and the folder MakeMKV created and import that into Handbrake. Under Handbrake, I uncheck audio, subtitles, and chapters. I then take the .m2ts files and load them into Clown_BD and extract chapters, subs, and audio content. After Handbrake is done. I use MKVMerge GUI to combine the video file handbrake created with the files that Clown_BD extracted to get the final result. As far as Handbrake settings, thats another story. There are different settings which can be used for different type of content.

Thanks for spreading that info, what you outlined is the only way to get unaltered audio tracks from a blu-ray source.

Also, I'm guessing you're looking for something to do syncing, but since you asked what others are doing: I'm using a server called Subsonic and streaming to the Android Subsonic app. That way I have access to my full collection without storing terabytes of music with me on my phone (if that was even possible :P). FLAC isn't a "streamable" format, so it can automatically transcode to MP3 for you.

Seems easy enough. I'll definitely try it out once I get my BRD Drive. Any recommendations for a good BRD drive? Internal/External doesn't matter, but internal would have to fit a 3.5" bay.

What's with Amazon not carrying FFX HD OST or FFXIV:ARR OST? Did find Before Meteor on there, though.

EDIT: just ordered FFXIV Before Meteor and FFXIII-2 OST PLUS. I'm pretty far behind on physically buying OST's. Just stated my second job yesterday. All income from that is "play money"!!

Thanks a lot for these! :) However, do you have the Persona 1, 2 or 3 original soundtracks? I've been looking all over for them and the Never More -Reincarnation Persona 4 album. If you have any of those and could post it, it would be much, much appreciated! d---(^_^)

Well I reuploaded the Persona 3 soundtrack here not too long ago, and all the rest of those are on here as well.

Just look under Persona in the series section on the first page.

My very first upload was the soundtrack for the psp rerelease of Persona if you are interested in that as well.

I finally received my collectors edition of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD.

Unfortunately the U.S. edition has the same crackling issues on tracks 12 and 52 as the separate Japanese soundtrack.

I'll still be getting my rip uploaded and it won't have that whole end of one song clipping into another thing that was going on with the initial Japanese upload we got.

Alright here is my FF X HD Soundtrack rip.

This is from the collectors edition of the game.

This a blu-ray soundtrack and therefore not a traditional rip.

The songs were already divided into separate files, so I just demuxed the music and coverted to Flac like other similar soundtracks here.

According to the mp3s this is intended to be a 5 CD soundtrack.

Songs 1-26 are disc 1, songs 27- 49 are disc 2, songs 50-70 are disc 3, songs 71-94 are disc 4, and the rest are the FF X-2 bonus track disc.

Do with that info what you will.

Also, you do not have to delete this after 24 hours.

That is all.

Hey Vegeta, in 2009 you posted PIKMIN WORLD the original soundtrack of "PIKMIN". Do you still have that and could you re-upload it? Or is it available to your subscribers?

Lest anyone think I'm nothing but a leecher, I'll have a post up later today that will fill the gaps in one major series listed on the first page.

These are from my own CDs, all accurately ripped with logs and CUE sheets and SFVs.

Xenosaga Original Soundtrack
Yasunori Mitsuda

MEGA - 678 MB (https://mega.co.nz/#!c5cEQTIL!GFsX2yGBA66cpEVvWPyuJylZmk94VDNR_4zuzyL dISk)

The original DigiCube version. There are pros and cons to this versus Sleigh Bells' Xenosaga Episode I (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/lossless-video-game-soundtrack-thread-links-first-64743/705.html#post1973457) re-released version. I think the DigiCube has better, cleaner sound quality when comparing back-to-back, even if there is clipping in places that should have been prevented (especially on "Albedo"). Sleigh Bells omits "The Beach of Nothingness" and the solo piano pieces which were originally done with synth in favor of live recordings (though I prefer the original "The Beach of Nothingness"), plus has "World to be Born" which is entirely new. In addition, "Awakening" was changed (somewhat of a downgrade), "Relief" was revised (upgrade) and snare was added to "Durandal" (upgrade), even though they weren't labeled as being changed. But several more were remixed and, in my opinion, in a much inferior way to these original mixes on the DigiCube version. In short, for best results, get this even if you have the Sleigh Bells Xenosaga Episode I album and make a playlist with the new recordings from there!

Kokoro - Theme from ''Xenosaga Episode I''
Yasunori Mitsuda, Joanne Hogg

MEGA - 139 MB (https://mega.co.nz/#!lxMgkBQI!CwiYWlUghgXizioSzi5pazisxLRcNcSI0pWuqL4 IaKc)

Includes exclusive instrumental versions of "Kokoro" and "Pain".

DigiCube original Xenosaga music CD
Yasunori Mitsuda

MEGA - 45 MB (https://mega.co.nz/#!xsEGQJxA!VOj6AyEhn5FzsB7naQZy3S0R3YtyynpiKE3hgQ0 L-IQ)

A three-track CD including a piano version of "Pain" played by Mitsuda himself which cannot be found anywhere else. Nothing amazing, but it's different from the one on the Xenosaga Episode I album.

Any recommendations for good headphones to use with Lossless Music?

I use Beyerdynamic DT880 Pros in conjuction with an E-MU 0404 USB soundcard/amp/DAC, myself. It's usually up to personal preference, though, since higher-end consumer level headphones can have different personalities, like heavy bass but weak treble, or vice versa. Some headphones are stronger at certain types of music than others.

Amazon.com: Audio-Technica ATH-M50 Professional Studio Monitor Headphones with Coiled Cable: Musical Instruments (http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1398057530&sr=8-2&keywords=ATH-M50)

Thats just a suggestion strictly based off of review numbers on Amazon. The higher the review count, the less important each review is, which means better significance of the overall star ratings. Just going off the opinions of THOUSANDS of people, theres an 87% chance you'll be satisfied with purchasing ATH-M50's

I personally love them myself, but I don't have vast sums of money that allows me to own a gajillion pairs of $200+ headphones like some of you people here do. So I picked one good one, but I've got nothing to compare them to.

If you want good neutral headphones (that is a pair that sounds good with about everything you can throw at it) I'd recommend Amazon.com: Sennheiser HD 598 Headphones (Burl Wood Accents): Electronics (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Headphones-Burl-Wood-Accents/dp/B0042A8CW2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398059962&sr=8-1&keywords=hd598)
Or if you have a smaller Budget, there's the HD558 which is still pretty good.

A REALM REBORN: FINAL FANTASY XIV Original Soundtrack
This came from a Bluray Audio Disc. Basically the files were in video form, just demuxed them, and put the lossless WAVs on a FLAC container.

Thanks for this.

When you were demuxing the bluray, did you come across a hidden track? I'm hearing that there's a secret track #120 that is an arrangement of "Battle on the Big Bridge".
Or is the hidden track only for the mp3 version?

Yes. The Sennheiser HD 598 is great. Homogenous sound, comfortable, replacable cable <3 If you are used to bass, you need some time to adjust your ears, though. But after that, it's becoming indispensable.

Any recommendations for good headphones to use with Lossless Music?

While the options already provided are very good, and I would recommend them above anything, I wanted to put my 2 cents in, because a lot of people aren't willing to shell out $300+ on headphones.

If you want something fantastic in the $100-200 range, then you can't go wrong with some Audio-Technica M50's (not to be confused with the name"M50s", which is a tagname for the M50 Straight cable version).

Amazon link found here (http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-Professional-Headphones-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0073TP5YC). (See below for why to buy the combo with FiiO E6) They have 3 colors (2 of them are same color, different cable type) available. If you use Amazon for anything electronics, I do not recommend buying from a different vendor other than directly from Amazon (The "Add to Cart" button only). Other vendors have a tendency to have fake products that look and work similar to the real thing, when in fact they have huge mechanical problems because their build quality sucks, due to not being officially by the original manufacturer.

A bonus for having these is you don't need to have a portable amp to get good quality audio. Most $300 cans require a portable amp (or an audio card/device that includes it) to get enough volume from standard devices like computers/media players/phones/etc.

However, with that said, you will still get significantly better quality sound from any device if you invest in a portable amp. Even this low-end model (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HJWWW8) will do it justice (FiiO is the only brand I trust for a cheap amp). Granted, if you want more control over audio, you're gonna need to shell out $60+ for a better FiiO or other brand. (like the E11 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053KWDES)) Keep in mind, the more you pay for the amp, the better the quality you will get when using a good quality set of headphones.

The first link in this post has a combo deal... You pretty much get a free FiiO E6 with it, so why not?

If you don't mind glaring red headphones, you can get a cheaper model of the M50s with the Red Limited Edition version (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B0FR2QO). Same headphones except it's the latest, "improved" version. (granted it's without the E6)

I will tell you: the reviews on the M50s are off the charts. Just take a look and you'll see...

Personally, you don't need to shell out $300 on a pair of headphones to get a really good experience. Granted, the experience will be better with the higher-end set. But, these M50s with even a cheap amp give such fantastic quality, that if you never experience those high-end models, you'll never know what you're missing. :3

If you want to know my setup: I have the Red LE M50s with a FiiO X3 media player (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EPFLJS8). The X3 doesn't need an amp, and it is the clearest quality I've ever heard in my life... Even in my car it sounds way better than my Motorola Atrix 4G, which I thought sounded good!

I linked the bundle version, cause it's $10 more than by itself, and you get a 64GB Sandisk Class 10 Micro SD Card plus extra cables.... Why not?

If you go after a portable amp... you never go back, however, also in portable amplifiers, too much translates into very little gain. The combos you have proposed are highly recommended on head-fi, I went sony just because I got good deals on them :) however, Fiio has indeed very good sound quality products, well worth of the money (as long as they are not counterfeit everything is alright, i.e. amazon straight buy only)

Yeah I figured I shouldn't have said "The more you pay...etc." I meant that within a good brand, the higher the cost, the more features and quality you get... brands like FiiO. Of course if you shell out $150-200 or more on an actual amp (the FiiO X3 I have is not an amp, just a media player), there may not be much quality difference after that, so you're right.

Ah, I'm glad I looked again. Amazon is still providing the combo deals: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-Professional-Headphones-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0073TP5YC

I'll update my post.

Wow! Thanks for the response! I like the red ones! Someone already mentioned the FiiO X3 player to me, unfortunately my Library can't be trimmed down to only ~64GB. I'll definitely consider the headphones though. Nice to know I don't have to spend a fortune to get some decent sound.

Be aware that, while the $119.99 price is the best, it does not come with a portable amp, which I still recommend for you to get the most out of your music (especially if you use a computer without a dedicated audio card (one YOU installed) or any portable media player of choice.

The idea of an amp is simple: Most audio devices (even most computer audio chips), when at max volume, produce warping on the sound or actually "croud out" certain frequencies. Using a portable amp increases the audio without those frequencies being affected, and can even produce higher volume than normal while still providing optimum quality. Trust me when I say, it's most certainly a noticeable difference. Simply put: worth the extra $28 (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HJWWW8). :)

Sadly, the combo deal on Amazon is actually $2 more expensive than getting them separately... which I find odd when you can get the black model with practically a free E6...

There are some amplifiers that also double as DAC-AMP for your pc and even some players, pc integrated solutions are really bad, so I recommend you also look into some fiios players that can also act as dac :) (or even the pha 2)

The source material, sound hardware, and DAC/amp are just as important to sound quality as the headphones. But you really don't need to spend a lot to get incredible sound quality, especially if you can find a good used set of headphones. (Head-Fi is great for that.)

I have the Fiio X3 and the quality of the sound is quite amazing (I use the Sennheiser HD 25-1 II). I only transfer songs with a rating of 5 thanks to the 64 GB limit (have more than 500 GB on flac files).

Still, it's a great buy for the audiophiles.

It's entirely possible, the XBA-H3 gives me the impact of a good subwoofer, so much that I have to tone it down sometimes; the only missing sensation is the visceral one, but seriously, those are just IEM's...

Are you using rubber tips on your in-ears? I would seriously recommend you try out Comply Foam Tips (http://www.complyfoam.com/) - While I use over-the-ear headphones when I'm at home, I use in-ear phones when listening to music outside on my phone. The comply tips transformed the listening experience for me... they're definitely worth your time. Especially in you're putting that much money into an in-ear set up.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will give them a try if I see them cheaper (14 pounds on amazon right now)... the thing is, apparently they tend to deintegrate after a while and I use quite a lot my setup on the streets...

No problem, Arc. :) 14 pounds converted into my currency sounds about right. (they come in a pack of three pairs, remember - so six tips in all)

I've read reviews where some users have mentioned longevity being a problem. I can honestly say that, if taken care of, each pair should easily see six months (probably even longer - as I replace mine after that, no matter what) - I'd like to know how these people take care of these tips...

In terms of care; Once a fortnight, a simple run under warm water to remove any dirt/wax etc. that may build up will keep these in excellent condition. (of course, along with a daily routine of keeping your own ears clean - cotton tips etc.)

I completely understand people being hesitant to drop money on such a simple item - but in terms of noise cancelling & comfortability, these really are a quality purchase. If you decide to give them a try, I'd love to hear what you think. Cheers.

You're just my hero today! XD

However, Part 2 of that set of files is giving me the "temporary error, retrying" message. Is it a problem with Mega or the files???

Well it works for sure on my end, so I guess try later and it should be fixed.

MEGA seems to do that sometimes.

I'm in the process of ripping (following Vegeta's EAC guide) "Phantasy Star Music Collection 2000-2007". I'm still learning EAC so don't expect the whole thing to be done tomorrow ^_^".
Also my upload speed is s***.
I'll try to make good scans as well (booklet included, it contains lyrics for the songs as well as artwork).

It'll be the first time I'm attempting a real "perfect rip". Before, I used CueTools because it was good enough as well as fast enough .

I hope a few people will be interested in this... ^_^'

EDIT:
I have a problem with Disc 1 Track 20 : Cry, for ''IDOLA'' the holy.wav !
No matter how many times I try, test CRC and Copy CRC do not match :(

Filename D:\Test\-- EAC Rips\Phantasy Star Music Collection 2000-2007 (2013) [FLAC]\20 Cry, for ''IDOLA'' the holy.wav

Pre-gap length 0:00:02.65

Peak level 100.0 %
Extraction speed 33.2 X
Test CRC 2A577362
Copy CRC 56AD09BB
Cannot be verified as accurate (confidence 2) [0B999109], AccurateRip returned [DEA29277] (AR v2)
Copy OK

EDIT 2: I tried with 10x speed (in EAC it says slower speed means less errors) but CRC still doesn't verify, each "Test" command gives a different CRC

EDIT 3: Now more tracks have the same problem u_u.
I think I'm going to have to set up EAC on a different computer and hope for the best...

Well so much for willing to share something great that I own !
The second PC/Drive I tried ripping the Phantasy Star Music Collection with also has problems, some track's CRCs always mismatch ! (and on that computer it takes 1H each time I want an attempt at ripping). I'm SOL ! (tried about 15 times with the fastest drive at different speed and 8 times with the other...)
And I don't want to use CueTools to "correct" the rip since there are too few reported rips so it's unreliable.

The used CD's is the only person I could find for all 3. The person on vgmdb that was selling all 3 hasn't been on in a while. So no choice. SMW is being purchased from avatar on vgmdb .. and his stuff is in excellent condition so good enough for me.

What do you guys think of my recent purchases? :D

How do you even afford all of that? After rent/bills and groceries, Spending more than $20 a month on music is stretching it to me. What I own I only got because a few ebay listings I bid or every now and then for $5-$10 never got any competition so I just kind of got them by default, but most of what you say you ordered is like $30 or much more on eBay. You've spent more money on music than I'd spend on a month of electricity, or a month of groceries, probably much more because I didn't lookup the value of each album.

Wouldn't know.. i dont use that part for trackpad, its used for the apps i can customize on it. I use Roccat Kone XTD for mouse.

This Ryuga Gotoku CD wouldn't be anything special if it wasn't for opportunity to have such awesome tracks as "Receive and Bite You" and "I believe in you" in lossless quality (previously they were only in lossy digital releases). Well plus it's a really good collection of cool vocal tracks from the whole series.

WE SURVIVED!

I'm so glad that this community is not only helpful, but quite generous as well. You're one of the finest folks on the Internet I've ever met!

People really must be sick of having to pay $3,000 every couple months, for a site that they don't even use. GH is shit. Nobody here wants that. We're here for the FORUMS.

Ugh, I made a post of disgust about this before. Wasn't even that long ago. My opinion really hasn't changed.

Believe it or not, gh is actually independent from the forums. When the forum was down (there was even a database error for a while, I feared for the worst o.o), I visited gh.ffshrine out of curiosity, and it was still available, whereas the forums were not. Which suggests that the urls and servers are indeed different.

This place really does generate that much traffic!

^Yeah welcome back people and thanks to everyone that donated. If I wasn't flat-broke, I'd buy physical albums to rip in Lossless and beat Goback & Lockdown to uploading them on here! lol

But seriously, this is ridiculous. In the last year itself between last July to now, the forums have been shut down at least 3-4 times. I've been a member for at least 5 years now and before last year, the Shrine very rarely went down.
And is Galbadia Hotel still online? I haven't gotten anything from that site because download links for some of the stuff I initially looked for were dead.

I guess GH is the way the admin actually earns money because of the ads and bullshit there (last time I went there which was years ago it was like that).
It sucks that money doesn't seem to be redistributed very well (i.e. it should spent to keep the forums alive and not hold the users responsible for funding the thing).
I don't believe the "intensive pageviews" ... etc bullshit. Forums are not bandwidth-intensive things, are they ? To me moving 20TB is kind of crazy for a forum.

Oh and ever since I played "Borderlands 2" I picture FFShrine 's admin riding a poney made out of diamond... XD

@Milo
Cheers for "Ryu Ga Gotoku Series Best Tracks" as well as "Shadowrun Returns Soundtrack" :3

Guests? We are keeping the site afloat because of our donations. When did you invite a guest into your home and ask them to pitch hundreds of dollars towards something? And if you can't, your home might disappear as a result. Never? Oh, okay. Nice analogy then.

I am grateful. For the FORUM. I am not grateful for GH. I don't use it. I don't want it. All of the files on the forum are being hosted by sites such as MEGA, UL and other places. Sites that are not costing Sarah bupkiss to host. All the costs are the actual site server (speaking for the forum alone, it does not cost more than $100 for an entire year...) and other bandwidth fees that are NOT in the $3k per 3-4 months department. Maybe you should show a bit of common sense.

If you're okay with dishing out thousands for the file bandwidth on GH, hey, I won't tell you not to do it.

So anyone interested in WWCE-31321~30/B | Phantasy Star Music Collection BOX 2000-2007 - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/40537) will have to wait just a bit longer !

The ideal solution to this is that people from this very same thread would join together to create a forum only dedicated to videogame lossless music. I don't see the point of complaining without actually offering a solution beforehand. People, please... stick to the nice and peacefull days.

Edit. Here is an idea:

There is no real reason for moving the lossless videogame soundtrack outside of ffshrine... whilst ffshirine is alive that is.
From here I see two options:

1.- If ffshrine does someday close, which... unfortunately it might happen, as I have seen with huge sadness some of my favourite sites closing, then an easy solution to this is simply to agree or rather hope, that one of us will actually open a site with an accorded specific name in this thread, so that we all know that indeed it is the continuation of this very same thread.

2.- I think it is safe to say that it is known who are the regulars, who are the people that has aported more in this thread or simply who are nice to talk about this matters; perhaps it would be a nice idea to actually share our contact details by PM, that way, if anything happens, it would be simply a matter to discuss it, then open a new site.

Feel free to give more ideas, this is just food for thought.

What are these errors, you ask? I have downloaded these two album from a few different locations (this forum included), and every single rip I have found have had a few of the tracks broken, with skips and pops. The files in question have been so damaged that it has not been possible to decode the FLACs back to WAV. Therefor I decided to purchase the albums myself and get a proper rip, and share it here for everyone to listen to.

Hey, sorry to be a pest - but could someone who can access the technosoft site, copy/paste the url's for Thundeforce III & Thunderforce IV? I can't access the site. I do use a Japanese proxy buying service (From Japan) to buy my stuff.

If I can get the url's, then I can get these items. Really appreciate anyone that can help. Thanks.

I noticed this as well. Same goes for Dracula NEW classic I believe. A Copy of that one as well on the net has 1 or 2 songs containing slight pausing mid way during the song which sucks...

Thanks very much for your contribution !! :)

seen a rip of the native files; there's a few tracks (ex. menu bgm) that are midi or something, don't know how to play them in foobar / make into .wavs

For those that requested it...here's Double Dash. Mind you though, this is not a complete rip. These are all the streams from the original gamedisc, but some music files were sequenced (like the title screen and some menu themes) and these cannot be ripped/converted to FLAC/MP3 when doing an extraction rip like this. But it's complete enough for most...I hope ;)

Well for Foobar you should just install the foo_midi component (http://www.foobar2000.org/getcomponent/051f3fe449e3f1c0244f83974e874a95/538c8f9e81f6d855488c45106f23d776/foo_midi.fb2k-component) into foobar, and to record them as wav files... Playing them with foobar and record them with audacity ? But seriously the result wouldn't be that great... Or just play them in winamp and set it to record the audio as wav. At least it would sound largely better (or worse ? XD) than with foobar. Without third party software and depending on your soundcard/motherboard chipset, you can't do much natively with them.

I downloaded both parts and extracted all the files of Wizardry Gaiden I to a separate folder and I kept getting an error that one of the .ape files was corrupted. I ignored it as it played somewhat well on xmplay. When I converted it to MP3 from WAV, it was all jumbled together and it only had maybe the first 40 mins. and the rest was silence. I don't even have a clue of how it got screwed up. BTW, first time doing that because most lossless stuff I get is FLAC and it works well for me.

I downloaded both parts and extracted all the files (...) and I kept getting an error that one of the .ape files was corrupted.

Did you try to see if the complete runtime was the same as the original disc ? Because if a part is corrupted, obviously you will not get the disc entirely.

Try re-dl it.

If not, I Can propose you an alternate download, after getting it.

these are the other files

there is also "JaiSeqs.arc" in a "Seq" folder, if it is related

google searched a bit but cannot find an answer, slippytoad's rip includes these things but is mp3 only, don't know if it was line-in or if the files can be played & recorded somehow

Who woulda thunk I'd find out about Ruby and Sapphire Remakes while look for Tales of Destiny Remake soundtrack. Seriously, how did I miss that?

I was wondering if any had the OST for Tales of Destiny Remake for the PS2? Not the premium soundtrack, I've noticed and downloaded that already. Truth be told, it doesn't have to be lossless either.

I can't seem to find it anywhere; no where that isn't 404'd anyway.

This thread seems active enough, so hopefully someone can help me.
