MiL, related to that Blade Runner Westwood, i can see a brutal frequency cut at 11 KHz, so, lossless audio ?

That would be considered bad mastery.. MiL doesn't put up fake personal rips :)

Thanks Vegeta. Yes Blade Runner Westwood Edition is apparently lossy mastered. It's not so surprising because the release itself appears to be a bootleg. It's not just my copy is bootleg, all of them were bootlegs. The author himself (Frank Klepacki) didn't know about this release, which means it was unofficial. So ,yes, most likely who ever produced this CD used the game's source audio which in itself wasn't lossless... so there you have it.

There was a discussion on this subject over at vgmdb: Blade Runner Westwood Edition - VGMdb Forums (http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3338)

SupportTPRifyoulikehismusicI'm not going to "support" people that ask for money for taking someone else's compositions. If you want to play some Uematsu melodies, thats great. If you want to play some Uematsu melodies and charge for them, then thats stealing. It should have been on Bandcamp under "name your price" so that people could choose to tip someone, rather than being forced to purchase their plagiarized content. I know you were trying to be helpful and share with people, and I'm sure they're grateful, but copycats without anything original to offer shouldn't be rewarded.

If any amateur artist deserves support, its people like this: Vanille's Theme | Max XIII (http://max05xiii.bandcamp.com/track/vanilles-theme) ($1 donation per track or Free for entire album)
It only has the name Final Fantasy XIII, but all the pieces are original, you won't hear them in any game or official soundtrack. Which begs the question "Why is this Final Fantasy XIII then?" I don't know, maybe the artist was high, it bares little or no resemblance to Final Fantasy XIII, so I don't know why it was named after it. I never shared this because I never considered it VGM, but he is a good example of original content vs people that just copy other artists and demand money.

Not to take this thread off-track, but I thought I would at least point out that royalties still go to Uematsu. From the Loudr website, under "Pricing"

Album of Cover Songs
Price of Album* $10.00
Payment Processor Fee* - (2.9% + 0.30) $0.59
External Store Cut* - $0.00
Loudr Fee* - (15%) $1.41
Cover Song Royalties* - $0.91*
Your Earnings $7.09

I'm not sure how you feel about remixes and re-interpretations (since they are also not original compositions), but to each their own. If you like something enough, its a good idea to support it. If you don't like it, then the assumption is that you don't keep it or look at it. At the end of the day, it was a simple suggestion in the vein of "if you like someone, be nice to them".

Thank you for all these soundtrack. I'm wondering if anyone has managed to get their hands on and rip a FLAC version of sanodg's arcade game music works (http://vgmdb.net/album/45241). That'd be much appreciated since I'm not proficient at this sort of thing.

Also I know this is a lossless thread but in terms of the whole MP3 vs. FLAC thing, you need to understand that most people don't know about or don't care to know about the differences between lossy and lossless. That's just the way it is. They are just average, everyday people that want to quickly shove an MP3 onto their iPod for their listening pleasure. MP3 may not be the best audio format but it's one of the most popular ones. Personally I feel that MP3 320 is still a perfectly sufficient way to listen to music. Some people are helpful and provide information on the differences. That's fine. Good one. Other people on the other hand feel the need to be stuck up. No need to be dicks about it. Just sayin'. Peace.

Lack of knowledge = Misled opinion

CBR 320? Unnecessary. Variable Bit Rate (VBR) is the practical standard.

Maybe but no matter how dumb a question is, it doesn't give one call to be rude,
a person with a lack of information is a void to be filled and a person to be educated, NOT a target for ridicule, all that does is perpetuate Ill will

No one deserves to be insulted or disrespected but some things fall off the tree in simplicity that it causes a chuckle and/or laughable reaction to oneself.

When someone's says something with 'little thought', you automatically respond to it. Whether you keep it to yourself or type in this forum so the world can read your thoughts is up to you. Besides people shouldn't take things personally; if you goofed up... then laugh with them.

No need to be a 'dick' on complaining "they made fun of me", there's always a different way of reacting than pulling out "who's got the biggest guns"...

Only Solo release from Konami due to its unpopularity in the arcades. This album contains much bass heavy tracks mainly from the Dancemania Bass series but it also houses some great kicks from NAOKI such as "Sexy Planet", "DROP OUT", "WILD RUSH" and possibly the best PARANOiA to date "PARANOiA EVOLUTION".

Toshiba's remixers landed an 'A' mixing the Disc 2 portion, insane the way they mixed Konami Originals. Take track 24 for example... sick.

I have bought KICA-1041 | Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyushutsu Emaki - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/3692) .. Brand new .. shrink wrapped from Adol via VGMdb .. Although this wasn't an album I intended on buying previously.. listening to some of the music on youtube.. really got me interested. And I know 1 individual (and probably others too) that has been wanting this for a while.

Man, I don't believe it... Thank you for making me know there's an official release for "The Legend of the Mystical Ninja", Vegeta. I FUCKING LOVE the music on this game, and I searched some official release, but couldn't find it. So happy :')

Do you have any plans to upload it? I didn't saw it in your MEGA VGM Collection. Also, do you think about making some bigger scans?

Thank again, for this and for all the stuff you give to this forums, I think I speak for all of us.

That scene was from the movie "INDEPENDANCE DAY" (1996), right near the other end when Russell Casse's last missile was jammed aiming for the mothership's detonator in which he suicides with the missile to blow up the mothership. A nice soundtrack to this special game. The game is good even though it's excruciatingly difficult, I found the music to be very fitting to the situations it played in.
"The Face of Genocide" is a favorite track of mine, it was playing during particularly dramatic events as the story was nearing conclusion. The mission before the last one... man, tons of pressure and cold sweat, you could almost sense it, the atmosphere was fantastic.

These albums are not the first to actually tackle the job of translating video game chiptones to orchestra; Falcom did it first with the Symphony Ys & Sorcerian albums, and the Falcom Special Box '89: Orchestra Version Mini Disc, with all three said albums performed by the King Symphonic Orchestra, but that was with one single composer-conglomerate group for a company and one orchestra; here there are are mutilple Composers from different game companies participating for concerts and various different orchestras performing the arranged works, with the first album being a recording from the first live concert of it's type. I enjoyed all these albums and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

In anycase, I have one more Orchestral album that's coming.

Hello, i am sorry for replying on a such old post but i can' figure out how unzip tie files.
I downloaded both files for first CD, i added .001 to the first files. So the files are GMC II.7z.001 and GMC II.7z.002.
But i can't unzip it. I used WinRar 7zip and even hjsplit.
I even downloaded the files second time to make sure the aren't corupted, but i have same problem.
Any ideas?

Sorry for my engrish

Could you reupload? I am having trouble with all and any compression programs, and i redownloaded it a few times. Thank you.

one file has a "missing" + within its name, correct that before trying to do anything with 7zip
with correct pass, of course, files are ok for me

I've never played in my whole life the games Mother/Earthbound.
I do not know the music. ...except for the songs from the SSB series.
Now I hear for the first time the soundtrack of Mother/Earthbound 1
And I love it!

@ arfgh: there's always a vgmdb link underneath a picture of an album. On vgmdb page in top right corner is information about platforms represented, in this case it's PC. You should get more familiar with vgmdb if you're listening to vgm.

I just recently rewatched Zatoichi (2003) and was interested in who did the soundtrack to the movie, turns out it's the same composer who worked on Mother 1&2 - Keiichi Suzuki.

Everyone is different, I personally prefer "Priority Mail Flat-Rate Box" but I got it at a good price without the overseas bullshit.

Nothing to complain there...

Least favorite of the series but for completion's sake its up. Only few arrangements by Tomosuke and U1-ASAMi, rest of the tracks are not that great.

Well something is happening for 30,000 yen. But what it is... no idea. The photo is too small to even make out the name of an album.

My bad! It's the Chulip soundtrack. Hard to get ahold of, and I've never seen it go below $400.

The only rip available online is 192 kbps, which, while not particularly terrible, is certainly no 320. I've been eyeing it for a while and the opportunity has finally showed itself!

Added SE-2037-2 | HALO 3 Original Soundtrack - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/5033) to my collection, and is now available to subscribers in the H folder. Thanks, Uvogin for this suggestion btw.

Also if anyone is wondering.. I am STILL ripping stuff from yesterday.. I have to rip most of them twice due to what.cd standards with all capital tracks n such like that. So I'm making 2 copies of each.. 1 VGMdb format.. and the other What.CD format.. I think the only album I didn't have to rip twice is Mario Kart 64 OST.. -_-

Also Wave Race 64 (factory sealed) showed up today lol

Hi, sorry for the noob question, is there any quality loss when you convert a lossless to other lossless format?

coz I want to covert all my APE files to FLAC but if its gonna ruin the quality, I'll just keep it as is...

NCFirebolt21
08-02-2014, 12:13 PM
^Nah, lossless to lossless, like APE to ALAC or FLAC will never cause a loss in quality.
However, lossless to lossy, like FLAC to M4A/MP3 will definitely cause a loss.

Chrono Meridian

@mixi:
If you are converting from one lossless format to another lossless format, then you have no loss of quality.

Can I post a rip from another thread here so the op can ad to the list? This is really lacking Radiant Historia, and that's ugly.

I can edit this post to add MEGA links

Dodonpachi Daioujou|Espgaluda Perfect Remix

Please verify if that's genuine. Last time a copy of this popped up around this forum it was a fake & lossy transcode with HUGE frequency cutoffs visible.

Especially when you just asked about transcoding from APE a few posts ago. I wonder where you got that album from.

Also, CAVE albums are infamous for copy-pasting a lot. Some of them are just not worth sharing at all as they're lazily duplicated to other ones already. For example:

Mushihimesama OST (Secret Lover (http://vgmdb.net/album/4214) has it all with extra tracks)
Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu Black Label Arrange Mode Album (You're about to upload both versions, but the only difference between them is the album art)
Ketsui OST, and EXTRA (EXTRA 2 (http://vgmdb.net/album/39138) has them both, with improved stereo remastering)
etc.

So you might want to skip a few pointless albums and save some bandwidth for yourself.

Please note that the odd naming conversions & file format are deliberate as ensure some (hopefully) longevity of hosting. After download, rename the file extension from PDF to RAR. Dont open any of the files with Adobe Acrobat or any simular program or you may damage the file!
No guarantees of a re-upload; considering the number of disc in this otherwise awesome set. Get it while its fresh.

Now if there was a lossless copy of the After Burner 20th Anniversary BoxSet, that would be great.

What is the difference between the normal Donkey Kong Country albums and these "Super" ones???The games were called Super Donkey Kong Country in Japan. There may be pressing differences, track differences etc but the music is taken from essentially the same game.

Thought I'd ask here because you all are into lossless and enjoy high fidelity... what type of headphones are you all using to enjoy these lossless VGM soundtracks? Right now I'm using my Logitech surround speakers; I'm finding the LCD2 headphones are a bit too resolving for comfort (sawtooth waves with Game Boy soundtracks are grating). Using a WA6SE headphone amp and Dacport LX.

Well am Im using hifiman HE-400 (Kings because they are open and sounds great with almost all music), Beyerdynamic DT 880 32 omhs (queens due to color and there semi open state), Audio Technica ATH-A900X closed back for some time on the bus and private time to myself like at nights, anyway using a O2+ODAC Combo. Had the sennheiser hd 800 but :( wasnt able to get what I was looking for... there quite expensive I'll say..so there u have it :D I would love those LCD2.

I decided to buy the Romancing Saga Remaster albums so I got the first two ones but one of them has two giant crackles on the jewel case (which can be swapped for a new one but until I unseal it, it's ugly as hell).
See for yourselves :

Most likely the cracks were already there when they shipped the item because the packaging was very well done.

Still very much unsure if I'll rip them, but slightly inclined to do so because of the state of one of the jewel cases...

EDIT : I've ripped "Romancing Saga 2 Original Soundtrack -Remaster-" (Started with the 2nd since it's the one with crackles on the jewel case) and I did scans too though on a few of them the material wasn't fully lined up with the scanner. I scanned everything except OBI atm, should I scan that as well ?

To my Subscribers,

I'd advise you to start using www.lastpass.com browser extension if you are having a hard time remembering your MEGA password. This will store the password for you so you can always have access. Just don't forget the lastpass master password. You can store all of your passwords on it, and use authentication security so that none of your stuff can be accessed without the 6 digit code used with Google Authenticator, or UbiKey, or other authentication programs.

Both in wavpack format, extracted accurately by a good drive (NEC chipset based) which can report C2 errors and overread into lead-out. Open the zip.001 file through 7-Zip and extract the contents. Or you can concatenate (copy /b "file1.001"+"file2.002" "final file.zip") the parts into a single file to get a standard .zip file.

(If you don't like imperfect scans just don't download them. I can't line up stuff with the scanner properly because if I put it right on the edges it cuts off a good part of the image/art, if you know what I mean. So I have to put the thing I want to scan a few inches further from the edges which means lining it up with the edges isn't doable.)
I rather like it this way, thanks, makes it easier to edit it and make a good music player image out of it. For almost every album I've downloaded, I've edited the cover image in some way (changing the saturnation, rotating it, cropping and so on).

Talking about scans, if someone have highres scans of Perfect Selection Dracula Battle II (http://vgmdb.net/album/553) I would appreciate if they were uploaded, thanks :)

Guys I noticed a few of the last things I bought which were Square-Enix products have little cards with codes, lots of japanese writing and an URL pointing to member.jp.square-enix.com
What are those codes for ? some rewards program ? and Should I bother trying to register and enter those, or rather somehow sell the codes ? (ebay ?)

I have dozen of them, they are usually for enqute (or: ankeito), meaning a survey. They are pretty much useless. OR then they are some special bonus stuff for SQEX-members for mobages (mobile games) and whatnot.. Can't really say without seeing what you have.

Assuming ur talking about " Cannot be verified as accurate (confidence 3) [01A34BB6], AccurateRip returned [4A962B8F] (AR v2)" ? .. Check on the disc you are ripping (near the middle circle for the catalog ID) to be sure its a legit copy. Sometimes certain VGM you buy.. sellers can sneak one by you with bootleg shit lol

Have you tried ripping it with a different cd drive?

Also.. maybe there is nothing wrong at all.. "You may have a different pressing from the one(s) in the database"

Was also told that it could be a drive issue. I've had a few discs that didn't like my Asus BR drive... but worked with my laptop's drive instead.

This happened to me with multiple CDs, i have the feeling it's quite common. :P

I think it's probably what the log tells you, different pressing. Try to verify the rip with cuetools, if it's verified with X offset then it should be fine. And also keep in mind that the accuraterip database it's not a bible.

Can someone please tell me why my logs show this:

I wouldn't worry about this. AccurateRip and CUETools both should not be relied on. The CRCs they report might derive from scratched discs or completely different prints altogether, so there are many possibilities why it may report that your rip "could not be verified as accurate". All they ever did was clutter your logs if you ask me.

If you don't care about bit-accurate preservation (i.e. only audibly accurate rips), this probably won't be of any interest to you.

What probably matters the most in an "accurate rip" is that all samples are intact (e.g. no normalization applied) and that no samples from the disc are actually missing in the rip. It might seem like there's a lot of magic settings in EAC that "improves" the quality of the rip, but there's really not. There are very few settings that actually matter for a rip. To extract audio data in its purest form it doesn't take much. The real crux is getting _everything_ off the disc, and that is what "accurate" means to me, and honestly should mean for everyone. "Everything" here of course includes every single audio sample. And believe it or not, I've seen more than a handful of rips with missing samples at this point.

Unfortunately, finding out if your rips are missing samples may not be as easy as it sounds. First of all: although quite rare, discs might contain (non-silent) audio data in the Lead-in and/or Lead-out areas. Thus, if your drive cannot read from both Lead-in and Lead-out, your drive may miss some samples from the disc when ripping. So in the end, it comes down to the capabilities of your drive.

But, even if you have a drive capable of overreading into both Lead-in and Lead-out, it is not quite as simple as entering an offset value for the drive and leave it be. The offset value that comes from AccurateRip is just a "recommended" value to ensure a consistent start offset on CDs for each drive used, and thus, hopefully(!) consistent CRCs. This doesn't have to mean it will be accurate!

Which actually brings me back to the AccurateRip issue on the Dance Dance Revolution rip. When someone sets the offset value for their drive to the "recommended" value, and the drive missed a sample - what happens? Nothing! EAC can't determine if the drive missed any samples, let alone AccurateRip, so the rip is considered "accurate" so long as it simply matches with any other rip(s), and.. that's that. That means people who DON'T use the "recommended" value for their drive will be bombarded with AccurateRip warnings in their logs. Talk about annoying clutter for those who actually know what they're doing and take their time to make sure no samples are missing. No thanks, I'll turn AccurateRip and CUETools DB off.

So, finally, how do you determine if there are any samples missing? First, rip the first and last tracks with the "recommended" value. Next, rip only the first track with a low (negative) offset (although it's possible to set it lower, -10000 will do, which is not even one fourth of a second). Finally, rip only the last track with a high offset (+10000). Now have a look at these rips in an accurate waveform display(*) with both the time and amplitude scales zoomed as needed. Do you see anything that isn't silent that you didn't see in your initial rips (with the "recommended" offset value)? If you do, the offset needs to be adjusted accordingly, then you make a full rip with that offset. If not, the "recommended" value will do.

* Most programs don't show digitally accurate details, and this is because the waveforms are interpolated to show you the details in a more "friendly"/analogue-like way. Personally, I only trust iZotope RX as it's the only program I've found that allows control over the interpolation of the waveform. So for iZotope, you should set the interpolation value to "0 (hold)" in the settings to get an accurate view. To demonstrate just exactly what I mean:

With interpolation:
Without interpolation:

So how do I know this is really correct? Well, this may be a little overboard, but to prove my point: open up the raw PCM data (sans RIFF/WAVE header) in a hex editor, then locate the first non-zero byte from the top. Get the offset of that byte and divide it by (number of channels + bytes per sample), e.g. 2ch 16-bit audio = x/4. From there just compare it with what the program is showing.

Help me guys !
I'm very much tempted to get "Seiken Densetsu Music Complete Book" (Seiken Densetsu Ongaku Daizenshu) (I've been eyeing the thing on and off for a few months)
SQEX-10249~68 | Seiken Densetsu Music Complete Book - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/26348)
The only problem is that this thing is expensive for me, 300€ (~400$). But aside from containing a few of the soundtracks I want, it is a beauty ! (See for yourself here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYoLYIUtAWE)

I have the money, it's just that it would be the biggest vgm buy I have done (more expensive than that "Castlevania Best Music Collection Box" I got last year).

I need a few comments on sound quality as well as an answer to the question : Is it worth 300 Euro (400$) ?

tl;dr version : Anybody here who has "Seiken Densetsu Music Complete Book" can comment on the music quality ? (like is some of the music in low-quality like on the Castlevania boxset ?) Also is it worth the 300€ price ?

P.S. Currently doing high res scans of "Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner 1&2 Soundtrack INTEGRAL" ;)

Edit : Can't find my post on this thread pertaining to DDS 1&2 Ost Integral. Tried searching for it but only my post in the main music sharing thread is there :O

I think this soundtrack was requested a few months ago and hasn't been uploaded since.
I found it online and split it into separate tracks and added tags. It's not my own rip, so don't ask for a Non-C2 re-rip of it.

Who wants a lossless rip of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories? ;)

Here I am presenting the complete soundtrack to the video game, Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. An amazing soundtrack, taken from the original PSF and miniPSF files, although there were 4 miniPSF files that my program could not read. I took the Soundtrack PSF rip from EmuParadise and ripped it. I NEED HELP GIVING THE TRACKS CORRECT TITLES PLEASE!

If someone can put them in chronological order, and tag them properly and even create custom artwork, that would be greatly appreciated.

And here is the download link, of 54 tracks. In APPLE LOSSLESS!

https://mega.co.nz/#!dQMUEIwT!J0a5EzyKRP7HaCNSp-OSgTJe9-w6mWq-PaBKHZxz_EI

Also, if someone could rip the 4 miniPSF tracks from the EmuParadise rip, that would be amazing.
Forgot to mention, almost every track is 3 minutes long, exactly. Some should not be 3 minutes long, But there is a correct fade out, etc. Hopefully someone will make a more precise edition and cut down some of these tracks, etc. I hope someone knows this game enough to help me out.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a GSF rip of "Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel" or "Yu-Gi-Oh! Eternal Duelist Soul" for GBA? (both contain the same music; Worldwide Edition has more tracks). Whatever you think of Yu-Gi-Oh, that soundtrack is awesome; great, melodic chiptune-style tracks.

edit: @Lockdown, have you tried the version from here? Probably more up-to-date. Index of /y (http://psf.joshw.info/y/)
58 PSF files; you have 54, and 4 minipsf files... so maybe the 4 missing ones are in there.

edit2: here you go... quick conversion in Foobar; 1:40 minute time with 10 second fade. Don't know if it's the full loop or not. https://mega.co.nz/#!EVUBkC6a!1SVf6glQI6UItq3vqv_5hmsud8SemUkFEJ3D3ec S5wo

Dance Dance Revolution 5thMIX ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK
ダンス・ダンス・レボリューション5thMIX オリジナル・サウンドトラック

TOCP-64044~5

This mix introduces more eurobeat and bubblegum dance to the series. There are some memorable commercial tracks such as Bambee's "SEVENTEEN (Upper Version)", NI-NI's "BE TOGETHER (Upper Version)" and JUDY CRYSTAL's "GOD OF ROMANCE". No "Trip Machine" this time but a remixed version of Naoki Maeda's "PARANOiA" called "PARANOiA ETERNAL" by a DDR fan under the alias STM 200 does justice with its strong silent bass kicks. The beloved Be For U group appears with it's initial song "DIVE".

There are a few house tracks in the non-stop mix that sound incredible such as Shoichiro Hirata's remixed "GROOVE" and "SHARE MY LOVE" very sexy, groovy tracks the rest are very enjoyable and fun to listen to. 5thMIX doesn't raise the bar but maintains the series reputation in good choice of genres and artist selections.

Great album,
did Diddy Kong Racing had a just a plain front cover or was there a manual included (I thought it did have few pages) but there is a scan of just the front cover.
Also if you could scan front cover and disc of Super Donkey Kong 2 so everything would be of the same quality (those two in database are of somewhat higher compression).

Well like alexfilth mentioned before it is a pretty common thing and this time ripping DDRMAX it got a clean accurate rip. That answers that. Also I figured out that my login with MEGA was being intervened by an adware called "Priice" and leached an extension on my chrome throwing my annoying ads of random things.

Fixed it so MEGA will continue my support.

Rejoice people, I'm currently scanning and ripping SQEX-10435 | Romancing SaGa Original Soundtrack -REMASTER- - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/45020)
Will share it with you in this thread as always.

After this I'll probably do COCX-35945 | Shin Megami Tensei STRANGE JOURNEY Original Soundtrack - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/15405) as a few people are waiting for it, then right after that LACA-9163~7 | RAGNAROK Online Complete Soundtrack - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/14011)
(I know I still have to re-rip WWCE-31321~30/B | Phantasy Star Music Collection BOX 2000-2007 - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/40537) with correct settings... and I will... but atm I don't feel like doing a 10 disc rip, and I need to use 2 different PC's to rip that beast because some discs refuse to rip on one)

@Neo Chip
"Extraction speed 7.6 X"
That's twice as fast as my drives, I wish I could rip at that speed ~ (if you're set up correctly of course... in Burst Mode I can rip at 20x >_<)

It seems like the forum doesn't have any rips of the Ys OSTs anywhere, all I found was a Megaupload link for Ys Seven. I'm mostly looking for Ys Seven's and Oath in Felghana's OSTs. Does anyone have those?

Well like alexfilth mentioned before it is a pretty common thing and this time ripping DDRMAX it got a clean accurate rip. That answers that. Also I figured out that my login with MEGA was being intervened by an adware called "Priice" and leached an extension on my chrome throwing my annoying ads of random things.

Fixed it so MEGA will continue my support.

I'd advise you to start using sandboxie .. its software that isolates what you run inside of it. So if say an adware program tries to install itself without your permission, sandboxie lets you know about it, and if things go worse.. you can terminate programs running inside of sandboxie, and wipe the contents. Thus no adware or malware or anything of the sort will bother you at all.

MOTHER3i - VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/album/6005)

MOTHER3i was released on the 6th of February, 2007 in the iTunes Music Store and Napster in Japan, as well as a few other online music services (price unknown). On April 1st, 2007, it was released in the iTunes Music Store in the United States ($9.99).

Hmm, but iTunes has no Flac files, right?
And my Version has log & cue.
I am very unsure ...

Does anyone here have an official mp3 version?

That quote states "as well as a few other online music services" which may offer lossless. A custom CUE can be created for non-CD releases, and a LOG can be from other programs besides CD rippers. Does the LOG say it was ripped from CD?

You need vgmstream to open them. I use the vgmstream component for foobar2000: foobar2000: Components Repository - vgmstream decoder (http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_vgmstream)
With foobar2000, you can convert it to MP3.

(only) 60 USD for SMT Strange journey (New). That's like 48€ which isn't expensive for such a good OST, bought it from OTAKU along with Ragnarok Online Complete soundtrack (Used Mint) 69 USD.
And let's face it, it's very much cheap compared to stuff like the Nintendo GSM series for instance @_@

I'll probably upload it during the night.

Cheap O_O... I wish the company still produces these soundtracks, but instead we fight for over price soundtracks. I soo wanted resident evil 2 but its 59.00 at least and SMT Strange journey is a great soundtrack but not going to that end to get it, oh yeah before I start doing something like that how long does it take before it ships to your house....I'm very impatient and use to amazon prime 1 day shipping for 3.99.

Maybe a video that you want uncompressed from DVD to hard drive?

Besides the bonus DVD interview, it includes 5 remixed tracks from artists such as kors k, DIRTY ANDROIDS, xac, DJ BOSS and DJ Command.

Other than that, I don't know but I'll find out when it arrives; I'll also make an entry for it in VGMdb with scans.

I find it cheap because it brings more entertainment than a game at 59.99 could bring me, which in a few years can be hundreds of hours of accoustic pleasure :3
About how long it takes to get to my house, I'd say anywhere between 1.5 week and 3 weeks. These two I ordered on the 20th of July and got it on the 7th of August. (about 2 weeks and 3 days)
I have Amazon Premium (same as Prime but in France) and i'm addicted to 1 day delivery as well ^_^

I have to admit, though, that I tend to not perceive the "real" value of money very well ever since we went from using "Francs" to "Euros", I find everything cheap in € because it's 6.55957 x cheaper. I know I should have acclimated by now but I haven't.

Well I came across this (https://shop.konami.com/Product.aspx?pSKU=DDR_X3_Vs_2ndMix_Soundtrack&vSKU=KO-12221) browsing the KONAMI STYLE STORE (US) and waddayaknow? They have the X3 soundtrack on sale, even cheaper than buying it Japan!

I contacted them if they can carry in stock the DDR 2013 soundtrack as well and currently awaiting a reply. This could lead to more soundtrack release imports right here in the states, not getting hopes up but I don't see why not its making them profit.

I can understand that, I have been unwell for a few years and can't work or study so I know about idleness and how time passes slowly.
That's also partly why I started buying VGM OSTs, to start ripping and releasing so I have something else to do. Scanning also time consuming and I enjoy trying to make my scans better now. That time spent is less time being idle.

Otaku.com has cool some stuff in stock but he overprices a bit and uses SAL for shipping which I hate. Speaking of Otaku, I recently bought this...
http://otaku.com/files/images/fullsize/82535R.JPGAnyone know a good free program to extract the exact DVD content?

Otaku.com does not always overprice thingsSome places deceptively underprice because their shipping is going to be an arm and a leg. When he has something new or sealed its generally a fair price.

I find it cheap because it brings more entertainment than a game at 59.99 could bring me, which in a few years can be hundreds of hours of accoustic pleasure :3

Got that right ! ^^ We're weird like that :D

When I do scans I should scan discs as well shouldn't I ?
I haven't been doing it because most discs have a very basic or simple design so I thought it was pointless... but I see most scans at VGMDB have discs as well so I'm wondering... ^^"

Yep it's preferable to have a CD. On vgmdb in some cases (not this one) a CD scan can have valuable information such as catalog number; usually that happens for enclosure CDs.
So if you can add a disc scan, that would be nice.

Anyone know a good free program to extract the exact DVD content?
I'd recommend DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/).

Could i ask that people please post individual threads in the download links section for their link posts in here? The film score section has taken over the majority of the forum and it's time vgm has fought back. Not saying this as an admin, just as a vgm lover. So like not necessary, just a request :P

Added Disc Scans (both front & back) to Strange Journey, DDS Avatar Tuner Integral, and both Romancing SaGa Remaster albums releases.

@Jessie
I will post threads pertaining to my uploads just not yet. I like giving an edge to those following this thread, so I usually delay posting my upload's own thread for a while.

@Zodiacmaster

Please remove the Mirror link to Valkyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume Original Soundtrack on the main page, it is no longer valid as I'm not sharing the old rip which was made with CueTools anymore.

Thanks, however, did you know that audio-only lossless compression such as FLAC is miles more efficient than what WAV over 7z/zip/RAR (or any other format of these kinds) have to offer ?
FLAC drops the filesize to 300MB for that album, compresses much faster and uncompresses even faster. EAC can automagically compress files for you after extraction, too.

You can convert flac to any format you like too. Flac even supports .cue sheets so you can reference the flac file instead of the wave file in the cue sheet and use the cue sheet as a playlist. The only advantage of wave is that it's the only format you can burn back to an audio CD from, so if you want to burn an audio CD you have to convert the flac back to wave and use the cue sheet to burn it. Of course, how often are you going to do that? :P
