It's not so much the time it takes, it's waiting for one disc to rip then do all the pre-rip stuff and tags again, rinse and repeat.
I dislike doing that but I found out I like sharing what I have and love some time ago, so I guess it balances out ~

Yeah, the process can be a pain, especially tagging (more when you check and want to be accurate as possible) and changing file names, it came less a pain since I started using TagScanner (http://www.xdlab.ru/) but still ^ ^

A quick tech question. After all these months the RAR5 format has grown mature and stable enough now. Is there anyone that has experience with it? How well did it compress your stuff (shared here or not), both size-wise and speed-wise?

For those that are having trouble extracting it, try using the root folder (meaning C:\ or whatever drive you use). Some file names are pretty long, but wanted to be matching as close as possible. The word Sound was removed at the very end of Track 95 due to it being so long to extract anywhere.

I've been looking for it, for like every since i was born. Live concerts for video games(and anime) are the best. Someone should create a thread only for that kind of shows, on .ISO, if possible. I was only able to get Joe Hisaishi's concert for Studio Ghibli(not a BDISO though), and Kenji Kawaii's concert(2 Discs) performing songs from many of his own soundtracks. Also, since Lords of Thunder and Gate of Thunder have no music albums released, is it possible to find the lossless songs anywhere? Thank you guys.

I have the CD of the Valkyrie Profile + Star Ocean concert but not the DVD. As far as I know that DVD is rarer than a coelacanth and has never appeared here.

Actually, BR3 != Primal Fury, it's Extreme that's = Primal Fury (Extreme for JPN GCN release and XBox release, Primal Fury for US GCN release). It's a misconception that's been going on for the ages that thankfully SCXCR has corrected (check his retrospective series).

Ow yeah, and the track 06 "How to Win a War" has to be noted for its melodic awesomeness. Gotta love that buildup.

And yes free-to-play is kind of a love or hate thing. There are several online multiplayer games designed around this formula that I'd love to see a singleplayer campaign of... in a finished product at a full price. The design and aesthetics in them are too good to be just an F2P game. Though I totally see how F2P attracts a wider audience and all possibilities that come with that, a bigger flexibility to improve your games and all that, but... I digress, it iz what it iz.

PS. Track 20 "Theme of Musha Aleste" from disc3 of Naxat Collection is pretty neat too. Never played the game but man I love this theme. It has that distinct sega mega drive-ish sound to it, makes you want to recall all kind of important tunes from 16 bit era.

As for Musha Aleste, it's indeed one of the best MEGA DRIVE games, and on hard of a shmup in the same time.
Just get "Kega Fusion" and the game's rom if you want to taste its difficulty head on >=3

The MEGA DRIVE with its neat sound, and when well used, was (and still is for me) one of the best way to make great musics~

You know the art style of Hawken to me is like a combination of Mirror's Edge with Neo Tokyo (http://www.neotokyohq.com/media.html), but a bit more dystopian. Just all the textures, colors, gamma and lightening give a similar feel to Mirror's Edge. And in regard to Neo Tokyo, it would be great to see some night mission in Hawken, with neon lights and all that... but probably wouldn't be quite fitting to the setting :P
And the similarities to Mirror's Edge make it seem like the game is running on Frostbite engine, but it's Unreal. I think it would look only more appealing on Frostbite, but Unreal is probably darn cheap compared to that so whatever.
Oh and on a "bright side" my goddamn laptop overheats from Hawken, it can run it at 60 fps on normal graphical settings but only for like 10-15 minutes until an emergency shut down will happen. So it's just like several other modern shooters I have to postpone until getting a desktop PC with strong enough CPU cooler.

Well at least there's soundtrack that doesn't make my laptop shutdown T_____T

And the fact that ME was a tiny (and till the E3 revelation, not much supported by EA) project + Frosbite not being finished and only used to do Bad Compagny, you get the idea.

There are no special notes about disk 4, I doubt it will be a reprint, Wave Master's late releases have all been new recordings like the System 16 ones or the SG-1000, as well as Mega Drive Last Action Heroes. I certainly hope it won't be a reprint and that they won't include soundtracks that have been recently released in other collections like they did with the SG-1000. Did we really need After Burner, OutRun and Phantasy Star again?

*shrugs* All I know is that you click on that search result, it takes you to a Japanese list of Rockman albums, you click on one, it takes you to a page with two blue rectangles, you click on the right most one with the filesize, it downloads. Done.

I only downloaded the 25th Anniversary Rock Arrange. There's no log or anything, but the spectrogram of the tracks looks legit.

In order to find the VGMdb entry for that Origin Soundtrack you must google it with quoatation marks, if you do it with their engine, it will return all of the entries that have original soundtrack. I tried to look for it two years ago but couldn't find the whole CD, only the Wing Commander tracks.

Chrono Meridian, maybe try searching for an artbook, not necesserly related to Terranigma but by the same artist who worked on the game. In this case it's Kamui Fujiwara (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamui_Fujiwara). There might be an illustration you're after in one of his artbooks.

Alrighty here we go! A surprisingly good & fun soundtrack, which mostly rehashes a couple of themes over and over again, but done so good that it doesn't really matter much. T'was quite a big job editing some of these tracks, but I had a lot of fun with it nevertheless. Didn't extract the files myself, but there really was lots of editing needed (looping, editing constantly repeating jingles...annoying! etc etc.) But here's the Punch-Out!! soundtrack in all it's lossless glory....enjoy!!:

This is not a normal CD case, I can't simply pull stuff out and scan it normally.. and my scanner isn't big enough to scan the case stretched out. I can do the CD, and Obi (but Obi is kinda beat up).

I meant to scan all the other, regular shaped albums (when you find the time of course).
Super Mario Fun Together with Beyer could be scanned from the front back easily, it doesn't have to be scanned from the inside, you'd have to fold it over in order to do so.
There is also little compartment inside the front cover that contains liner notes that can also be easily scanned, I know this because I've had this album few years ago (as well as Super Famicom Fun Together with Beyer, it's shaped the same way).

Hello, I have been looking around for some OSTs that I can download of my favorite games. Take Chrono Trigger, Kirby, Lunar, and Pokemon as examples. It wasn't until I came across this site that I saw what had been established that I was beyond impressed. I registered (yes, I am new here) on the website and I was absolutely astonished at all the OSTs the site had accumulated.

First, I want to give a big thanks to everyone that put together all the music in this thread. I do have a few requests if anyone wishes to pursue them, however they are .... odd.

I took a look at the Lunar (Great series of RPGs known for their great storytelling) section. I wondered, "Has anyone bothered to rip the soundtrack of Lunar Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue from the Sega Saturn?" The music quality of the games on the Playstation 1 had limited memory for some reason and do not sound as good. At least that is what I heard; it could be also music that was converted badly. I know that Lunar 2 uses PCM, but I do not know which version of Lunar 1 (2nd version uses the Video CD card for the Saturn for better video resolution for the anime, the 1st does not) uses what kind of audio method. I also know that being a Saturn game..... it may be easy to rip the music out of it. I have already looked else where online. At best, there are a few songs on Youtube for L2:EB.

2) I've had the albums I've bought already in lossless quality, so I collected the originals just to have them. So yes.

3) I wouldn't say retired, more like not working atm, but with a ton of money in my bank.

I also noticed that Part 3 of the "Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete Music Soundtrack" seems to have an error and will not let me download it. I already haves Part 1-2.


Sidenote: 11k for video game music? Sheesh, I knew there were/are people who love and are dedicated to video game music, but Vegeta topped the charts of video game music love. Way to go!
