Possibly. Mario Kart 8 waited until its DLC was out before releasing an OST since they were then able to include music from the DLC. I also think I read somewhere that the fourth major Dark Horse Zelda book (the third being the Encyclopedia set to release next year) will be exclusively devoted to Breath of the Wild.

I also wonder if this is why Xenoblade Chronicles 2 doesn't have a full OST release, if they're waiting on their season pass DLC to come out first. (After all, every single game in the Xeno series has received the full soundtrack treatment, so it only makes sense that Xenoblade 2 gets one eventually as well.)

The music from the franchise really is interesting.

Well, hoping that the first games' remaster on PS4 come to Europe & with Japanese voices at some point,
I was always tempted to look into this series more deeper. So, listening to this OST would be the first step.
I've access to other past soundtracks too so, if I'm really into it, I'll make a little thread for the series.
Don't expect anything soon though, 2017 is closing in and free time is getting scarce.

Basically this.. If you mean to rip file as Remux .. this is literally the easiest way.

Rez Infinite's 2017 version of the soundtrack, sold on CD in Japan and also made available on iTunes and some streaming platforms. In short, yes, this is the definitive U/M/A/A soundtrack, including all original areas tunes, and Area X vocal and instrumental themes... not the lame iam8bit release ;)

Took me way too long to realize it’s meant to look like the C in “Contra” which has the same gradient on the official artwork! Ugh it’s so cool. Injury because have better quality than Contra Chronicle vol. 2

Sound quality is great, I’m not sure what Mondo sourced the NES or Arcades versions from but it’s a good transfer and I’d say it translated well to 45rpm, very detailed and clean. No complaints. Pressing quality is perfect too, nice flat and well centered. Totally silent from lead in to lead out. GZ’s in house mastering quality isn’t that great in my experience but their pressings are usually very impressive. I’m using them for the record I’m putting out.

(Not entirely sure if M4A is lossless but yeah. Couldn't be bothered writing all the details again so I linked a thread I made earlier)
It can get confusing with m4a because both AAC and ALAC (which is lossless) get stored inside of .m4a files. If I understand correctly, m4a is a "container" of sorts, not quite a format itself like AAC or MP3.
AAC audio takes up much less space than ALAC, so that helps one guess quickly which format you have on hand.

You are correct.
MP4 (and m4a / m4v accordingly) is a container format, just like MKV.
AAC and MP3 are codecs for music compression, that of which can be used in said containers.

I agree, the easy way to tell if the m4a files you got are using ALAC is if they are about the same size as FLAC files would be. Or look at it the reverse, are the m4a's the size of similar MP3's, then they are not lossless.

Or just download MediaInfo and see what ya got inside them files :-D

Sega posted a digital release for Sonic Mania, but it's not the complete soundtrack. They left out both Green Hill acts, both Chemical Plant acts, both Oil Ocean acts, Super Sonic and the ending themes. Also the speed up mix for Blue Spheres.

Mora sells it on AAC-LC 320kbps (http://mora.jp/package/43000033/A60148/). Is this the best we could get so far? (Of course not counting tracks covered in the previous vinyl/digital-download release.)

I grabbed the second and third games on PS4 recently, and after listening to
these OSTs while learning bits here and there about the Utawarerumono's
universe during the tagging process, I can say that I can't wait to get my hands
on the remake of the first game (Deep Silver & Atlus, you're in guys: European
release before the end of 2018, GO!!) so that I can do them all in a row <3

And of course, April being the Japanese release date of that specific remaster,
expect a reorchestrated soundtrack to come with it, and by that I mean one
future release to add to this collection, hopefully~




You'll find here all of the major Soundtracks from the "UTAWARERUMONO" series.
So aside from potential exceptions, you won't find any Maxis or Arrange discs.

Please note that the Original Soundtrack from 2002 includes the same tracks as
found in the 2006's one, apart from the last two songs: the first song having a
different singer, and the second is unique to this album. So don't miss them!!

Anyway, I'm not a big fan "yet". Still waiting to play the games as said above. But I was aware of this universe for a
long time now, trying not to look at the anime version and the fan-slation of the first game (kinda missed it somehow).
It's hard not to get partially spoiled while translating and tagging the soundtracks, though... but my purity is still kickin'!
So I'm just fresh and eager to finally get my teeth on them... Hence the hope to get the remake translated this year.

Sorry just been a bit lazy, and also confused how to properly tag this. You have arrangers which I normally put in the Artist slot, but then Composer list isn't broken down, but then you have the performers under the name "Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra" which I would assume go in the actual artist spot in this case? but that would mean all the tracks would have the same artist name, and no composer to put in the composer section of the tag, except for the 5 composers entirely on every track. Idk wtf im doing lmao

Obviously the names are in the games' soundtest ='D

Isn't that the limit you can bypass by changing your IP?
Last time I tried using megadl it wouldn't even let me download anything despite not having used mega for days by then.

Why don't use Megasync?, that also happens to me, but with Megasync after it stops downloading at the 1GB cap, it resumes later where it stopped, is easy to use, and the stuff you download on the browser goes directly to the app, I recommend it.

Ah, in the case of a free "shared" account, you're screwed for trying to use Jdowloader because you can't generate links, obviously.
So, in this case, indeed that can be a real bother depending on your own internet connection and the reliability of MEGA via your browser.

AS for MegaSync... Well, you could give it a try, but again, the throttle will be kinda random depending on what the servers want you to DL.
It "should" resume correctly every time it estimates you can restart downloading again, but it also can just block, or entirely restart the DL
(happened to many, me included).

Or maybe something like MegaDownloader (http://megadownloaderapp.blogspot.fr/) ?

After that, there's only using a VPN (but can be slow as hell and have to stay in front of your computer to change location every now and then)
or just restartung your router/modem manually (same as above, but more quicker I guess).

Yes, the download will resume automatically after the appropriate waiting period. The comfortable way to do this is to use MegaSync.
