I'll have to do some digging, but if this is true, then it basically means that if people want it bad enough they gotta upgrade, but of course I'm not gonna leave myself open by posting direct links and having whats his face report them and have everything lost.

Edit: Sent an email to MEGA support, basically bitching them out for even putting this in place. If it turns out its not true and some bug thats going on, I'll let you guys know.

Still, they never used to do this, so for them to add this in later on, is either a way for them to get more money for people upgrading, or a way for them to lose a lot of customers.

If this is something they plan on keeping in, then it'll probably be the end of my shared content, unless someone knows an alternative without revealing direct links.

How is storage usage calculated?
Storage used is the total of Cloud Drive, Inbox, Incoming Shares and Rubbish Bin. It can be seen in the Dashboard and also in https://mega.nz/#fm/dashboard
A bigger storage limit is available if you upgrade to a PRO account.

How can I find the size of a folder?
If you right-click a folder and then choose ‘Info’ you can see the total size of that folder and all its sub-folders/files.

Why are incoming shares counted in my account as well as in the owner’s account?
It is standard industry practice to include incoming shares in the storage calculation. People could otherwise aggregate numerous free accounts, which would be a breach of our Terms of Service.

How do I remove incoming shares?
From the ‘Shared with me’ tab on the left side, select a shared folder, then click the ‘Leave share’ button on the right. Within a few seconds your storage used statistics will be updated.

How do I empty the rubbish bin?
From the ‘Rubbish Bin’ tab on the left side, click the ‘Clear the rubbish bin’ button at the top right to clear all folders/files in the rubbish bin.

Alternatively, you can right click individual folders/files, then select ‘Remove’

You can also turn on the automatic Rubbish Bin Cleaning Scheduler:

That image states lorddsp's files and folders "occupy" 41.45 GB (83%) of his storage space on MEGA, 841.37 GB are occupied by "Incoming shares". Just look at that page from your MEGA account and switch numbers around, you don't need a translation.

Fan Selection 10th anniversary yes, i have it and in lossless, very hard to find on the web but managed to find it on Baidu. In FLAC/CUE/LOG (Range rip but who care that much since its not available anywhere else and the album is kinda useless)

European version of KH 1 have japanese songs replaced with their english version. Japanese version is on the Kingdom Hearts Complete Collection (same as the standalone ost, where the KH 2 Complete Collection version wasn't the same as the original one)

Kingdom Hearts Complete Collection is available in FLAC/LOG on BakaBT (need to register to download 'attachement files' which are the logs/cue for stuff) . There was an FLAC/CUE/LOG (100%) version on What.CD before it went down but well, i don't really care about this, as long as if the album isn't 'rare' there is atleast LOG file which say that the album have been ripped in Secure mode, thats enough for me

I'm actually uploading a ton of stuff on MEGA accounts for sharing/archiving purpose, even thought its very annoying with my low internet speed (50kbps) and also can't pay for G Drive/MEGA account because i'm living in a third world country, so can't really subscribe to one of those services, even thought they are very cheap (9-15$ usd for 1tb) and are very usefull for sharing/archiving purpose as i said it before (music, ebooks etc ... for videos i would rather use a dedicated server so i can let people stream through it with PLEX)

I should be able to move in one year maybe, that would be great for me ... lol

By the way, you should try a VPN (no log one if possible) or use a Seedbox (like one on seedhost ) if you want to avoid problem with torrenting, because you are missing a lot of stuff because of it

Cheapest seedbox is around 5-7 euro i wish. You could download on it stuff and transfer through a FTP client (iirc) like FileZila, and also upload stuff 24/7 which is pretty usefull on private torrent websites (you will have 1-2tb upload limit per month but i heard seedhost just reduce your upload speed)

Also you will have good speed, so if there is a lot of seeder on a torrent, it will mostlikely be download at an average speed of 10-15mbps +

You will don't have any law problem. Also you can already start using private torrent websites since they are protected, most users on good one never had any problem with copyrights ! You can pm me for more informations

Makes sense. Wish they could see the collection I've been continually adding to for almost 20 years, guess that means at least one person here is buying them :P Right now it seems as if the full OST is DL only with no physical release (besides the short preorder disc) but If anyone figures out if/where it's available to purchase in lossless I'll gladly add that to my collection too

Naw, it's not the end of your shared content. I think people can still become a subscriber despite it making them go over their quota. They can always make a second account to use for uploading.

In their response to Vegeta they made it clear that incoming shares now count to prevent people from abusing their system. If it is a bug, the bug is the fact that you can still use the 50GB despite having over 50GB of incoming shared, and MEGA will fix it so that you cannot upload if you have over 50GB shares.

Yeah, I do. AcidBeast (bless him) uploaded a 100% copy in a private torrent tracker (I didn't even know he had it, but god, I was thankful) and I grabbed it. And indeed, look forward to me uploading it. It is a gorgeous album, although sadly, way too short. It's so good, it deserves to be in my collection, but it's scalped hardcore. One day.. one day.. meanwhile, and for that reason, I'll upload it. I feel people deserve it :)

Inbox space which is very annoying if you don't often clear it
Avatar bug (from what i'v read its not that hard to fix them, just the main admin Sarah i wish doesn't give a fuck)
VBulletin shit (or probably only this versions is actually ?)
Email notifications for stuff
Shares through PM which are very annoying because links tend to get taken down very quickly in the TV/Movie section, but not on the anime/vgm one
Banned content such as Biohazard and Varese which is very annoying (many rare Biohazard got uploaded here and quickly deleted, stuff which isn't available anywhere else while we are talking)
Dead links

The solution would be to run a private tracker dedicated to OST, with unofficial rips/compilation. That would be probably the best idea. Problem was Directory Opus giving me the error. Did it straight through 7z and it was fine. My bad. Never had that happen before with Opus.

Okay, here's an update regarding *that* soundtrack of that first person shooter survival horror game that was just released and happens to be the 7th in a series


It is available to purchase in FLAC - actually, its available in 24bit, so even better! That's the great news. It's being sold through Steam, I didn't even know you can buy game soundtracks through Steam.


Here's the wacky thing though, they classified the download as DLC? "This content requires the base game on Steam" which is totally stupid. I'd have bought the game for PC if I could but I don't have anything that would even be capable of running the main menu. Seriously my computers are way underpowered even for the ancient PCs they are.

Assuming you haven't touched anything in the add-on's settings, the MEGA extension should update itself automatically. Is it the only MEGA link behaving like that? The one thing I can think about right now would be that the whole "Incoming Shares' folder-size" is messing things up for you, maybe.

I tried disabling and re-enabling the add on in Firefox and it didn't work, but it did show the mega logo indefinitely which was a step up from a blank tab. Lost interest so I re-enabled the add on, tried one last time and said to hell with it.
I just now tried, and it works.

Mega is by far the most fickle file host I have ever come across. It just inexplicably stops working at the randomest times.

Mini-Review:


TPR re-released this album as "The Definitive Edition" which contains songs from:

his original album release (26 tracks)
the six (6) tracks from the "Buried in the Snow" album that were from FFVII ("Buried in the Snow" contained songs from VII, VIII, and IX)
the five (5) tracks which were "new"* from the "Piano Reductions" album (another album which contained songs from VII, VIII, and IX....except this time more focused on piano alone)
and eight (8) brand new tracks that were never released before and unique to this album


*Note #1: I say "new", because the "Piano Reductions" album also had four (4) tracks that he re-did from this FFVII album, except those reworked tracks don't appear in the Definitive Edition (the original renditions were kept).
Note #2: The song track lengths appear to vary slightly, but mostly not in any significant way (most within 5 seconds). There are a few exceptions where the track length is significantly different (> minute) but these are simply tracks that weren't looped in the "Definitive Edition" release. They're still 99% the same song (they just end sooner).


I already had the previous albums and enjoyed them, so I didn't want to go ahead and buy this one unless it was going to give me new songs I felt was worth paying the price of an entire album for, it was only 8 new tracks after all and it would make the single album really long. As LOUDR is shutting down after Jan 31 and it isn't clear if FLACs from TPR will be easily accessible, I wanted to do this exercise to figure out if it was worth it. IMO, it is not worth it unless you don't own any of the prior works. And even then, I would steer you towards the original releases of the albums (i.e. the FFVII one, Buried in the Snow, and Piano Reductions) despite the higher cost, since those albums contain compositions from VIII and IX that are still really good.

With respect to the new content, the 8 new tracks are relatively weak when compared to the tracks he's already done. I didn't find any of the eight to be particularly captivating enough to want them in my original album, so I ended up deciding to skip over this release altogether.

On a side note, I wasn't aware that it was posted/uploaded before, so I just did a quick search and found the link by chance, which then forced me to do this as a hybrid post (review+link). It's not my upload, but thought I would share for others who were interested in it.

I created an Excel file that spells out where everything comes from (but couldn't upload because FFshrine doesn't seem to allow anything above a few KBs)

Ahh that's awesome, nice score :) it must be super limited, of course only available in Japan and from that one website but still it's amazing how little is known about it still even though the game has been out for a couple of weeks already, even the VGMDB page is pretty barren and not filled with a tracklist or the typical scans, packaging, etc. guess we just have to give it some time!

I love what they seem to have done with it from the mockup at least, packaging it like a worn LP. Love to see some shots of the real thing.

The last one of the batch, finishing the eleven albums that I've pictured before. To my information, this first one is also the first full ISO ever shared of this DVD. Live DVDs are rare in the VGM world, and I really aprecciate when others share rare ones, so it's my turn to return the favor. I don't know the games or the music in this one and bought just for scanning and sharing, so I hope everyone enjoy it! :)
