So I just got PMed that one of my soundtracks had a broken link.

It turns out that MEGA has changed all of their links now, and I suppose I'll have to change all my god damned links in every post using MEGA to account for this. It says files are deleted when they're really not.

Weirdly, only some of my links do this. What a shitshow.

If you have mega.co.nz files, their domain is now mega.nz. Change all mega.co.nz links to this if there's a bunch of them breaking.

Not only that, some of the URLS stayed the same but the hash changed just a little bit at the beginning but stayed the same at the end. This is fucked, I'm fixing my pastebin first and then this thread second.

Yeah, in practice they should just be the same URL but without the .co but Mega changed the hash too for a select few of my files. Their implementation is fucked in that sense so I'm going back and editing this thread for the offending links.

edit: Jesus christ this is a pain in the ass. I don't even want to go back and edit the accompanying threads I've created since I've fixed the links in this thread. I must have had to fix like 40 links after investigating which file came from which MEGA account (since I have like five and sometimes they're in Japanese and I don't recognize which file is even what even before trying to remember which account it's on)

I think that every single MEGA upload in this thread should be checked to see if it's broken, now, since I painstakingly combed through every single upload I've ever done and found all these 'broken' links thanks to this. I fixed all the ones in this thread and on my pastebin, but I don't really know if I want to bother with fixing the old threads.

I would like both. I have a high end sound system at home for the 5.1 bluray. The 2.0 FLAC would be perfect for my car. Also, if the FLAC is in 24/96 I would rather go with that then the normal 16/44 and I'll just dither it down through Foobar.

The 2.0 audio is 24bit , as well as the 5.1 audio. I assume you want 16bit to work with your car so I'll grab that one instead. However I will grab the 24bit 5.1 as well.

There really isn't too much bluray audio for anime or VGM.. Yes some does exist, but its not as much as your traditional audio cd. Also here is some more info that might help you..

Get back to it mang, it's so good. My favorite series ever. The G.U. series is a little more mainstream considering it's faster paced, and you can certainly play it independently of the original series, but you will lose out on some of the character connections and backstory.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but there's (obviously) a Mario 30th Anniversary 2-CD compilation that's released on er... well, again, obviously, September 13th. And, unlike the 25th Anniversary CD, which only contains 10 tracks, one from each game, and then a stupid idea of having 6 second SFX, on separate tracks, making up a grand total of 22-ish minutes and wasting well over an hour of CD track time, the 30th CD contains 73 tracks:

As in medieval? If so, don't use it (https://www.hydrogenaud.io/forums/index.php?showtopic=57563&st=0&p=683198&#entry683198), use foobar or cuetools instead.

there is something strange in the cue. Have to convert the flac to wav, change the extension inside the cue to .wav and using medieval to split perfectly. The other programs gave me errors or extracted without the name of the songs.

Wanted to get the Call of Juarez games soundtracks in lossless and thought i'd buy them from Qobuz, i ended up just buying one track to test if they were actually lossless because they sell lots of older soundtracks that were originally just released on Amazon, iTunes or Sumthing Else.

The track i purchased ended up being far worse in quality than the iTunes version i purchased years ago.

Wanted to share this as a warning for those that want to get some of the older soundtracks on there in lossless, what you might get is far from lossless and might just be 128kbps mp3 transcodes like with my experience here.

Hey there, I'm attempting to find some apparently really obscure cds, specifically the Japanese releases of Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. I found the original OST in both english and japanese in this thread, but have been unsuccessful in turning up the vocal album, drama cd, or the musical booklet from the japanese DS re-release. Oh my god FINALLY! Jesus christ! I've been looking for this one in lossless for years! Specifically for this version of Game Breaker from Phantom Brave - this version was the one that played in the DLC for Disgaea 2 PSP: Dark Hero Days.

Well, I went back and edited every single Falcom link I have ever made a thread for or posted in this thread, and fixed the pastebin. Luckily, I had some free time to do it. Christ, what a mess. Thanks, MEGA.

The purpose of logs is to make sure that the CD was ripped properly. The only reason I use FLAC and archive music is to make 'perfect copies' of CDs - and if someone doesn't realize they've fucked up their CD rip and has a couple tracks with weird gaps of silence and it gets passed around the internet, then someone has to do it again/ask this thread creator to replace that 'rip' with a new one.

If the only reason you use lossless music is because you think you can hear the difference between 320 and lossless music without professional-grade headphones and equipment, then I think you use this thread for a very different reason.

The reason I rescue old CD rips from around the internet is because some of these don't even exist in any physical form anymore because they had such a limited print or were even handed out to like 20 people at a small event in Akiba - and if that rip was done improperly or messed up, then it hurts the archival process.

Hi guys. First, I'd like to thank you for this amazing thread, thanks to anyone who is sharing whatever they can. Much appreciated! :) Now, I have a couple of CDs that I'd like to share with you in Apple Lossless (ALAC), but if I am not mistaken by reading the last posts, you only want FLAC rips to go in this thread? These rips would be from my personal collection, no bootlegs, all original releases, and scans will be included. It is just a few but I though I'd let you know in case anyone is interested. Please, let me know if it is ok to share ALAC on this thread.

This is a lossless thread not a FLAC only thread.

ALAC is just as lossless as FLAC is and I don't mind converting it to FLAC myself if it comes to that.

Share them in whatever lossless form you see fit and I'll be appreciative.

Most of those have already been shared in this thread but mirrors are never a bad thing.

Wav is lossless too right? I'm 95% sure it is.

^WAV is lossless as well but takes up heaps more space than FLAC/ALAC. Which is why people tend it convert to FLAC level 8 (when ripping with EAC).

APE is popular in Asia due to good compression ratio and wide support. But its symmetric algorithm makes it highly CPU-consuming during playback.

TAK has even better compression, decent CPU consumption but much less support.

lossless is lossless only difference in practice is the decoding speed vs compression ratio. flac is popular because it has the most support (?) and opens / plays quickly. personally convert ape (monkey's audio) because it is slow to decompress.

Why even bother?

Beacause the PSON and others game remastered will need to work on all platform, including PSP, dreamcast etc.... Also, PIP (picture in picture) need to work flawlessly for those who are playing and navigating into the website at the same time.

Yeah thats what I mean, but I'm saying don't download until FL starts.. after the SWFL has initiated, anything uploaded to the site from then on won't be affected by the FL, only the previous uploads, but if you download stuff now before FL is activated you waste buffer.

It has more importance than you think, specifically anyone who either has problems with the leadership or if the site goes down again for "donations".
I'll be honest, after some of the things i've learned, i'd rather another site be the go to place for game music, but i put up with it until that day comes.

Well your definitely in the minority, the official playstation magazine when it came out called it "the game that will kill the SaGa series(and to an extent they were right, the SaGa series, which in general i love, has never recovered) and the game appears on alot of "the worst games of all time" lists.
Now let me be clear here, i love the saga series and in general, there are no rpg's i dislike with 2 exceptions, eternal sonata (the battle system is utterly broken in some points and the difficulty curve is atrocious, no excuses) and unlimited saga, also i did do all stories in unlimited saga, including the BS fetch quest of the animal character, i like phantasy star 3, i like beyond the beyond, i even like grandia extreme (best battle system in any turn based rpg imo), but not unlimited saga, i'd play sonic genesis or bubsy again before unlimited saga.

And I thought I was the only one in this world who actually enjoyed everything about UNLIMITED SAGA! (became a fan of the series because of this game and also, became a Fan of Hamauzu)

All of my mega.co.nz links were saying 'this link is broken or taken down,' so I was getting PMs and posts saying that my threads all had dead links.

When I checked the accounts I had uploaded them to, they were still there.

Mega is not mega.co.nz anymore, it's mega.nz.

Normally, their site redirect would work fine, but all of my mega.co.nz links had a slightly different URL from the new, given link on mega.nz, meaning that the links themselves were also changed.

I had to edit every single link I've ever posted with a new link.

I assume this issue also relates to why Vegeta cannot add any more subscribers?

I just don't want this site - this thread specifically - to be taken down as it's the first place I come to to get all my lossless soundtracks. Without this site I probably would never have gotten into lossless music at all.. The sole reason I got into it was because it was easy to replace my MP3 albums with FLACs found only here.

The sooner you accept that this whole place may end up closed for good, the better. I'm talking about something akin to what happened to good ol' MEGAUPLOAD; in order to somewhat minimize damage: set up different means of contact and forget about Gravitrek, it seems that place is even worse than FFS, downtime-wise.

I think zaykho's approach could be a bit better: I've heard this big update he/she has planned is supposed to be an overhaul of the place, fine, I'm not questioning the reasons behind the postpones, but what I'm seeing is an Admin "slightly" unreliable, a piece of advice from someone who has been running his own little board for 11 years: if you have a big update planned for your website and you aren't 200% sure you're going to finish work by the date you're about to give your users, don't give any and limit yourself to a neutral: "site is offline for mainteinance, it will be back when it's ready". Otherwise, folks are gonna lose trust in you, too.

So, I finally think I found the last major Falcom CD that wasn't a vocals-only album, a 'greatest hits' style CD with stuff that's on other CDs, or a drama CD with game voice actors talking in Japanese to each other. There are other CDs I really want, but Falcom has only ever released them on iTunes in 192kbps mp3 or something (see: Monarch Monarch/Mona2.)

Scanned and uploaded both of these; Answer to the Servant is a fan album with a remix of Emiya from Fate/stay Night, I picked this up because someone I know does REMIYAX for 4chan's /a/ and he'd been looking for this in lossless for ages. Since I already provided him with several other lossless versions of the songs to help him cobble together a remix out of better source files, I picked this up for cheap while I was getting JDK BAND 4 (120 yen or so.)

I agree. Zaykho's project has recently gone overboard, trying to reinvent the wheels and become jack of all trades.

The Shrine mostly just needs a plain forum. Other fancy features can wait until things settle.

Wrong. Sarah's personal life does matter and has some connection to the security breach happened recently: because of certain information surfaced about her+other crap she spends much time on, she's being targeted, same goes for this place, too, since the folks she "pissed off" know this is her domain.

Changing software, getting rid of Galbadia Hotel, updating crap… It's all meaningless, if she's kept around this place would still be compromised.

I think Sarah still needs to step aside, in all aspects, and give the reins of the forum to Jesse. Who actually has a presence on the forum, and does more than what any of us could possibly believe. Nobody cares about her because all she ever did was argue about trivial shit on Twitter, while doing the other things that she does in her own time. She never has made an effort to have a connection with anybody on the forum, the people that are keeping her debts afloat. And then uses this forum as a hostage so that she can continue to sustain a paycheck. It's bad for business in my mind, but to each their own.

But, when do the right people for leadership ever get elected? They don't, they have to work for the morons that keep making the same mistakes, over and over again. Isn't that what dictatorships are?

Considering all the animosity towards FFS and the awful urge to make us switch to Gravitrek (which is pretty pointless since it's unaccessible), there's gotta be a major profit scheme in there. I wouldn't be surprised the "maintenance" is so the forum is ad and pop-up filled. I suggest to start posting places where we can go other than ASTOST or other non-functional forum and when this place is gone, we'll start posting in that other place (if it's finally up) where all the FFS community has gone.

I watched the video, and i have to admit that i laughed a lot because it just reminded me of the weird kind of humor Sarah has, and i've been on the receiving end of that same kind of humor, so i'm used to it. I know it's very serious to most people, but if you're in a chat room with people you consider to be friends you say things to weird them out sometimes for a laugh.

I wasn't in chat for a very long time, i only started going in there the last few years and i saw a lot of weird shit from a lot of different people, but you can't really take everything seriously because this is the internet and you never can tell when someone is being serious or just being weird for a laugh.

For those saying that Sarah should step aside and let someone else take over the forum, well, she kind of has been absent from the forum for long periods and mostly does things behind the scenes when they need doing. People question what the donations were for and how they were being used, they were being used to keep the forum running. I've often had to help keep things going myself and she hated asking me for it, but it was either that or ask for donations, which she also hated doing. I always got my money back the moment she had it.

Yeah I didn't notice anything about that security breach up until I read about it in this thread. I am not active here but I've been around a long time and I'm just learning about the owner, I do not understand the full story but I was able to make most of it reading the last pages. Clearly it seems like Sarah has become sort of a threat to this place (whether allegations against her are justified or not). There are good people here and it would be a shame for this place to go down, destroying years of discussions, shared content, shared passions, from thousands of people, just because of a single individual. Thanks, gonna check this out on my new sound system! Added a couple of sweet 12" SDX12 subwoofers to my system, never heard bass this deep before (no, not even in the movies or in clubs, though Cineplex's UltraAVX is a close rival) can't wait to listen to this album!

Aside from her attitude and abstract posts, I think this site keeps getting hacked due to Sarah fucking around with gamergate on her/him/its tweets on twitter. But you know the cowboy saying, "You mess with the bull, you get the horns".

I don't know why people are bashing Gravitrek when Zaykho is doing his best to provide us with a place to rally to
if worse should come to worst, out of his own pocket nonetheless... I've visited the Place before the Maintenance,
it has a lot of features i sorely miss on the shrine. It's only taking so long to come back online because Zaykho wants
to provide a place that's actually worth bookmarking and visiting regularly.

Personally, i think it could be a good replacement, if it should be needed, for the VGM Crew, which suits me just fine,
no interest in Movie, TV or Anime Music... But that's the Core of the Problem, the Community...
It makes this Place what it is, a place not just to mindlessly leech, but have a laugh chatting with likeminded People,
pretty sure that will die if we have to migrate somewhere else.

As for Sarah and his/her Shenanigans... I don't wanna say i don't care, because if the stuff should be true then it's not very kawai,
but i really can't be bothered too much, sorry if that sounds harsh.

Zaykho's investing too much effort on everything and the kitchen sink. He has all rights to do so but poor technical directions are not making Gravitrek attractive enough for many Shriners.
