Use the Advanced Search function at the top (in case you haven't already).
Play with options. The most important:

E.G. Look for "Medievil" (without Resurrection for chances of getting more)
- At the top, Try both: "Single Content" or "Multiple Content". I believe the difference is the first one it tries to find a post/thread that matches ALL the words you put, and the 2nd tries to search for ANY (and not ALL) term you input.
- Be sure to have "Sort Results: by date" to see the most recent entries.
-And try with "Show Results as: Posts / Threads" (try both option and see which you like more)

This is actually still available at CDJapan (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SVWC-7015) at a very reasonable [for Japan] price, especially considering it was released in 1999, if you want to do "the right thing".

Note that if you change anything, even a tag, the SFV check will fail. I'm not saying don't edit tags or filenames or whatever, just putting it out there so you don't change something and do a check later and panic that nothing was verified as correct.

I can't read Japanese so I don't know, and know nothing of cdjapan, but are you sure they're an official seller of that particular album? Buying a physical copy doesn't guarantee support.

CDJapan is one of the half-dozen or so major, legitimate, English language online game music (amongst other things) retailers and everything they sell is official. Even if the various people/groups who have the right to collect profit from the sale of an album of their copyrighted/published material didn't make any money off this sale, as I suspect they might not due to its sheer age, it still supports CDJapan and helps them stay in business and continue selling products we like, still increases their game music sales which encourages them to continue or expand that section of their business, and counts toward the total industry number of sales which encourages other vendors to continue or expand or even new ones to start up, etc.

CDJapan is one of the half-dozen or so major, legitimate, English language online game music (amongst other things) retailers and everything they sell is official.

Devil Summoner 1&2: Raidou Kuzunoha are two of my favorite Megami Tensei titles. I just love absolutely everything about them: art direction, pre-rendered backgrounds, characters, adventure/detective type of story progression, combat, music... it's such a good mix, that I really hope Atlus will be coming back to this spin-off series.
Also I own the CDs of the last two albums you posted (Devil Summoner Sound Collection, Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon Soundtrack) but the 1st one is unfortunately very rare nowadays and is quite expensive. But it's still on my list to buy eventually.
It's nice to see you sharing this stuff~

Because it's a CD image. Use a program like CUETools (http://www.cuetools.net/wiki/Main_Page) to separate each track.

According to Is it down right now? (http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/mega.co.nz.html), MEGA is "UP and reachable". But all I get is the dumb cloud with the flimsy gears grinding endlessly.

Earlier I got a blank page, I checked it on another website checker, and it also said it had an http error 303, whatever that means. Right now im getting the cloud and spinning wheels and it only loaded less than a fourth away (though it might be my interweb connection now that I'm home). Perhaps they are doing a routine maintenance? Hopefully it'll be up tomorrow.

I'm posting this here for collectors simply because it's rare. Really, this is a pretty sloppily done CD with very illogical volume settings, causing soft tracks to be louder than intense ones. It's as if it were indiscriminately batch normalized and limited without being listened to before submission for manufacture. Almost none of it loops and the fades are abrupt. If you're at all interested in a good presentation of this soundtrack, I edited the files from the game, which, unlike most streamed music in games, are genuine 48 kHz lossless, and put together a nice, proper presentation of it in this thread (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/basiscape-elminage-~-dark-sorceress-ring-gods~-100777/#post1863284), with the two new compositions written for Elminage II as a bonus.

Again, for the collectors. This is just 8 tracks, all repeats from the first game, but the music isn't cranked up so loud. It's essentially a 44.1 kHz resampling of the files used in the first game (except for "A New Hope" which was sequenced). Credit for this goes to Anime-Sharing (http://koe.anime-sharing.com/). I just repackaged the original upload found there a long time ago, which is most likely dead. I don't think I changed a single thing at all.

I agree. Images should not be allowed unless accompanied by an upload or in a quoted post when requesting a re-upload. I would hope most uploads are going to be accompanied by a picture because that makes it easier to scan the thread and look for new posts.

I speak about my own experience that was with this program to detect cue bad idexes and this program is able to sign it exactly. So you dont have to say nothing about MY OPINION.

I have a question, how can I get individual songs from files in which the entire disc comes along? I mean, I downloaded some OST from here, but some are unique files (for example, Professor Layton VS Gyakuten Saiban Magical Mystery Music).

I suggest that you listen to Despair's advice and ignore the clown suggesting otherwise. In fact, try to remove the term "Medieval Cue Splitter" out of your vocabulary/lexicon, you'll be better off without it. Believe me. Use Cuetools or Foobar2000, like the man said.

And the same shit again, MCS is trash. It has been proved to be unreliable splitting cue files.

i dont care about advizes, i can speak about my own experience, and i was able to fix several deep cue files with errors, thanx to Medieval Cue Splitter and not thx to cue tools, so go on a grow up.

Well, I played and beat that game a few years back... I have downloaded your upload.

Woah lol. Actually it was the only way to get Uh-Huh! and The Streets, otherwise i'm getting the actual albums so the songs wont be censored. Suppose I could include those as an alternate for those who'd prefer it.

Why is everyone hating on lechers? Requests give the initiative for uploaders to upload particular soundtracks, (sometimes even rare ones), that may otherwise not have been uploaded or simply overlooked. Without requests from these guys, it would seem like there’s a smaller demand, which would give the impression that there’s less of a need to upload. (In other words, everyone is happy and already possess all the soundtracks they need.)

Picture you have this frogger game and you ask yourself; "Who the f*ck would want a soundtrack from a freaking frogger game?" but you remembered that some random guy asked for it.

That's a common occurrence, actually. People greatly overrate the worth of soundtrack albums for earlier consoles as far as sound quality goes, in my opinion. They most often have artificial reverb added that sounds poor by today's standards, and usually have just generally less clear sound quality. If the game is for anything earlier than Playstation 2, emulated sequenced formats typically sound better than OSTs, unless the game uses streamed music of course. With PS2-era albums, my experience is that they've often (though by no means always) gone back to the source, before it was added to the game and compressed for size. For example, Dark Cloud 2 sounds very different on the album compared to the game. Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter is EQed to sound mostly better, if you can excuse it for being too loud. And there are exceptions for pre-PS2 stuff; Super Castlevania IV comes to mind, but they took a lot of liberties with that album and it doesn't sound like the game; it's mixed differently and the added reverb makes it sound a lot more full.

If the Super Mario RPG soundtrack were posted here, I'd download it because it's rare and someone might need a re-upload in the future, but I'd never listen to it because the SPCs sound better. I've never downloaded full soundtracks for the Playstation Final Fantasy games in lossless because the PSFs sound much better (and completely avoid loudness war issues to boot). People debate whether the original Vagrant Story or the remastered CDs sound better, but both versions are pretty bad next to the PSFs. The only issue is PSF sets usually don't come with streamed music, so you have to get that yourself and then there can be huge volume mismatches that need manual adjustment if you don't want to leap out of your chair when you go from "Residents" (sequenced) to "Eyes On Me" (streamed, obviously). It's definitely worth the extra trouble for me though and I save a ton of hard drive space not downloading entire inferior-sounding and much larger OSTs.

Old OSTs specifically for old games for example on SNES use the audio the way it was sequenced for the system. SNES uses samples that varied on sample rate up to 32Khz at most ongoing interpolation. Now because the music can be ripped easily, sequenced music for the SNES will sound better because every sample in a sequence can be upsampled to a higher frequency hence clearer sound. Back then it was dependent on how good your music engineer was to mix the sequences together which was a painstaking task compared to now. However there are still small things like if the samples from the sequences were uncompressed on the OST before being compressed in the game which makes it questionable whether the music merely upsampled is actually better. Regardless, it's always worth giving out the OSTs if you have access to them personal feelings aside and all.

The samples used are very often much, much lower than 32kHz. The SNES already upsampled and used Gaussian interpolation to decrease the noise while also losing treble. While that is part of the signature sound of the SNES, we can now use better interpolation to subjectively improve the quality. But even if you set your SPC playback to function exactly as the SNES would, without any of the improvements we can now do, I think most people would agree in an A/B comparison that, say, Final Fantasy VI sounds clearer that way than it does on the official OST. I think it's great some people are preserving old CDs, accurately ripped, with log and CUE and all, and there are some I that I keep. But as far as listening goes, most of the time they're just made obsolete by these tiny bytes of data extracted from the game ROMs.

I've listened to an MP3 gamerip and FLAC CD rip of SMRPG, and the MP3 gamerip is actually of higher quality. (Unless it was a bad CD rip.)

OST uses Gaussian interpolation....

If you have SNESAmp (Alpha-II SPC Player) and some spc rip of the game, first, set the settings to be 32000 Hz sample rate, and Gaussian interpolation... (or just select "Like a SNES").

This is how the OST most likely sounds. Then set "Custom", change sample rate to 48000, interpolation to "Cubic", and now listen...

Just download the Bluray and rip the tracks, much easier and that way you get all of them. That's how I did it, however I made mine MP3 320 so you probably wouldn't want that.

Personal rip. Tags are in English (because I couldn't retrieve Japanese tags up to now... I'll probably update once I manage to do so, as I prefer the Japanese names)
10 files all in all, rename them in the order of links to .001, .002 etc.
I couldn't make scans of the package and the booklet up to now, but will probably do that next week or so.

EDIT: Forget to mention that I've also included the complete 5th disc - it contains the intro in HD, SFX and all Japanese voices. As the disc is a data disc, I just copied all files, so please no complaints about the SFX and voices in MP3 ;)

UPDATE: Finished scanning and uploading the box and its contents. The booklet had some damages due to spilled water, but anyway, here you go:

In case anyone has any trouble decompressing this archive, simply rename the files to identical names, leaving the filetypes (.001, .002, .003) intact.
