After replaying Pok�mon Platinum recently, I loved it. I was blown away by the music in particular, and, much to my surprise, there was not a gamerip in sight anywhere on the forums! I was super disappointed by this, so I set out to make one. I was particularly inspired by the lovely HGSS collaborative gamerip from several years ago, and wanted to create something along the same format as that. No reverb. No post-processing. No interpolation. Fully looping (unlike the official OST). I wanted raw, pure DS sound, and I feel I have come to a very good realization of that idea. Apologies if you were looking for something like a ruiner9 or !!!!! rip, because this is not edited at all. So, without further ado, I present to you:


Pok�mon Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum: Original Soundtrack



Complete gamerip of all three games, features several unused tracks.

Info: FLAC Level 8/MP3 V0 (2SF -> FLAC/MP3), 201 Tracks, Apx. 2.18 GB (FLAC)/651.6 MB (MP3), Apx 5 Hours 39 Minutes, Fully tagged (number, artist, title, year, album art made by me), each track plays two times and then has a 10 second fade

Version 2.0 is Up! This is a MASSIVE update, as I reripped the audio from scratch in order to create a FLAC version, get a truer sound, increase the volume, fix numerous tagging issues, add some unused songs that I (strangely) didn't include in the original rip, and cut the size of the MP3 version down by about 200 MB because it is now MP3 V0 (ripped using LAME 3.10, the newest version) as opposed to MP3 320. Please let me know what you think, and enjoy the music!

Hmm... I'll look into it. I'm most likely going to keep it as is, because this sounds really good to me. I feel like most DS rips don't sound perfect, just some are better than others. Take a look at the official OST for this game, for example, it does not sound all that great, and clearly has a TON of post-processing to make it sound "good". Doesn't sound bad, I just prefer this sound to it.

Okay, call me deaf or call it operator error, but NCSF doesn't sound any better to me. I just experimented a bit with it, and it legit sounds the same if not worse than the current rip. And yes, I did mess with the settings and stuff too. Like I said, no perfect way, just multiple good ones, and multiple opinions. Thanks for the suggestion though!
