Note: though I was initially not a fan, the Fury Road soundtrack grew on me, exponentially, when I used it to fuel my gym seshs. Quite frankly, I no longer know how to feel about it now that I've realized that it basically sounds just like 300:RoaE... and Divergent. The self-plagiarism is just so plain. I fell in love with Fury Road's post-apocalyptic mood but now I'm just wondering whether Junkie is only a one-trick pony and whether what I found different and pleasing about his music is just a stale standard setting for him. Not only do they follow the same structure but so many of his cues share almost identical, note-for-note movements.

Not Long Been Up. Gonna Have A Chill Day Sort Itunes And Down A Few Bits Around.

Here's a rough edit of what I've got so far. There's still a lot of audio editing to be done, especially
to ANH and TESB.

Being 30 years old, a lot of the Audio has been severly damaged due to decay over time. This is especially
present in unreleased cues present on the Special Editions and Remastered editions, and 30th Edition Remasters.

To combat this, I used as much audio as possible from the original Polydor CDs and the Anthology CDs.
Together, they produce one hell of a sound. The cues that I could not source from the Polydor and Anthology CDs came
from the Special Editions and the 30th Anniversary remasters. They are mostly garbage in sound, but I've
done what I can with a little help from Sparktank on noise removal. (Think white noise. Lots of it. Everywhere)
ROTJ is the most heavily damaged, but also has the best sounding source cues from Polydor/Anthology.

Why not rip the DVD and remove the front and rear channels leaving the middle one with fx and dialogue? Then you wouldn't have to cover the original score.

I've taken the whole day to finally restructure my vgm collection. I'd been meaning to for ages, but it's a lot of work. Artist tags all going Japanese with the English transliteration in the comments field, directories are getting sorted by system, matching up credits with vgmdb for works with multiple composers, and it's all going on a big spreadsheet so I can find composers quickly.

Some movies are only available fully uncensored in laserdisc.

Why not rip the DVD and remove the front and rear channels leaving the middle one with fx and dialogue? Then you wouldn't have to cover the original score.

I'm planning on doing that sometime with a movie - rescoring a particular(ly mad) scene with cues from a different (very Mad) movie.

At this point, since you're working with AC3 (assuming DVD), then anything will work.

Simpler interface, for begnners.

After that, just import into Audacity.

Don't change the presets. Or else you'll have to spend more time checking for clipping with everything you mix and the undo work and adjust segments to accomodate new audio.

well, theres more.

to get the mono center, you would need to either:

A) rip into multiple waves and use only "audio-c.wav" or "audio-3.wav".
1: Left
2: Right
3: Center
4: SL
5: SR
(they should not read "back" as "back" is for 7.1 setups)

Or you can convert whole stream to 5.1 FLAC, import to Audacity, then select only the center channel and copy to new file as mono then convert to stereo using presets.

If you want to go 3.0 (L, R, C), that will require more work.
You would need to adjust power levels for that too, or else you risk clipping when someone watches it on a stereo system where it gets downmixed to stereo.
And if you find any presets, don't use anything for "Dolby Prologic (I or II)". It will sound wrong on simple stereo devices.
ProLogic won't "enhance" anything or add magic.

It's actually not that hard lol.

Basically, just use a program to extract the DVD into a particular format. HandBrake works great. Then just use another program to extract the audio into its original channels you can then open them up in Audacity and play around with them.

I've extracted the FSBs from a Unity game, and out of the 215 clips, Foobar only recognises 110 of them. The rest are corrupted with "?" on their duration counter...

No, they're all .FSB. The VGMStream plugin allows Foobar to recognise those files, but as said it only recognises half of them.

Then I saw them at Jones Beach (my brother was with me this time) in September 2012 with M�tley Cr�e. "The Tour" as it was called. Great show. No face paint that time. Then I saw them last summer with Def Leppard, same venue I saw them at the first time in 2010. Only there were 4 of us, so it worked out perfectly. So I've seen KIϟϟ 3 times, 2 of which I've gone as The Spaceman.

I know exactly what you feel like. I think the last main iTunes update somewhat improved the colour selection on some albums for me (Finding Nemo was one - from black on blue to light blue on blue).

One of my favourite games of old, used Microsoft DirectMusic soundfiles to play music. I'm going to completely rebuild
the music using the exported midi files that a very old verison of DirectMusic produces (barely works on windows 10)
to give the music a compelte real-world overhaul.

My inspiration comes from Blake Robinson's Banjo Kazooie Symphony.

A Unity game. There's (I think) 215 FSB's when Foobar with VGMStream only recognises 110 of them. I've installed plugins to help it recognise other formats and nothing has worked.
