Change the settings to add audio only.
it will use FFMPEG to extract/copy the AAC audio in a new .m4a container.

If it's a playlist, you can add that and it will scan it all.
Then just select all, right-click and add to new 'package'. Assing single folder so they all download to that and they won't create 1K separate folders with just the m4a.
Depending on the source video, you may get options for MP3 or even OGG. Depends on the year, what the uploader did, etc.

I will be playing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough from now until my death. Reading about the Mediterranean and Middle East campaigns of World War II has done so much good to the extent of my Ultimate Doom.

This game features levels set in the said locations and time of point in World War II, it's exactly what I want to do until my last drink of water.

Got some more blood tests done. My god, the nurse would not stay still, I felt the needle moving around in my arm...
Just glad it's over, I'm feeling a little queezy.

I've never been afraid of seeing blood at all.. until last year, when I had a tiny accident, in class, it was weird, the teacher was talking about the nervous system, blood, instentines and mostly heart stuff, and.. I dunno. I was really getting the picture strongly in my mind... and at one point I was like falling asleep.. then I had one weird ass spazz that creeped the fuck out of my teacher, then it turns out I just had gotten low sugar blood, randomly from it. Since it kinda wasn't a good feeling (dizzyness and mid fainting) I, for some weird reason now, can't really see blood in detail ever since. It's not really me being scared of blood, it's more like me associating blood flowing out to the bad experience I had at the low sugar accident, joined with a tiny bit small hypocondriac, well, always leaves me feeling dizzy for a few seconds whenever I see something blood related and think too much on it. :I It's really weird cuz I've never been scared of blood!

However, needles and getting blood out? That I've been horrified with long before this happened. Never done myself a blood test since I was 4 years old.. oh so glad I never had it done to me again. I can't, I really can't, I can't do it, ever, no, no, I can't. I really can't. Not at least awake. No no no, I really can't stand the picture. It feels horrible and it'd just make me as dizzy, fainty and low blood sugar as that accident, maybe worse. I just *shiver* I can't take pills either, I hate them.

Good thing that, I must thank whoever has made that possible, I really have a nice health and rarely ever get sick of anything, I hope it really sticks that way.. because for me every tiny thing of sickness annoys me. A headache, throwing up is something I fear which also with my good luck hasn't happened in years either.

My favorite TV show is Doc Martin and, despite being a doctor, the title character has a crippling fear of blood.

I personally do not mind.. I kinda like talking, and writing, though I never get to it.. the better I can write, the happier I'll be because then I'll be able to write whatever I feel like. What's better to screencap, VLC or MPC-HC? I've tried taking a exact same frame with VLC and MPC-HC and both have noticeable differences.. first, MPC has a smaller filesize while VLC has MB and is in PNG. Picture wise.. both have, weirdly, two different colourings of the picture.. Even the grain of the picture is weird. From afar there seems to be no difference but when they are both opened with Photo Viewer, or when opened in two different tabs on your browser there's a difference.

I just put this artwork together tile by tile. 256x256, adding up to a total resolution of 2500x1473. Phew!

VLC.
With MPC-HC you have internal codecs and options, then you have external dependencies that alter the image.
If you use LAV Filters + MadVR, depending on the hundreds of settings you can set in LAV and then MadVR, your screenshots will vary in size since the video data is altered.
EVR is a cleaner video renderer. Not much options.
MadVR, you can use different 'dither' alogrithms which produce different noise. Also a plethora of image enchancers and the option to double up the scale to 2K then back down to whatever the monitor resolution is.

VLC shouldn't be changing image data with its default options.
If you change to advanced settings and then change the display methods and crap, then the screenshotting is useless.

The bluray for that looks miles better than the HDTV capture. The colors are more accurate and there's far less noise and other crap the HDTV has.
But to keep all the details, they had to keep all the noise.
And it's not film grain either, even though it's cell animation.
It's pure noise, common in Western cell animation for film.
It definitely looks improved the more you downsize. 720p if you want HD. 1080p is useless.
480p for a remastered DVD. With 720p, just convert the dtsma to FLAC. With DVD, create a DVD-9 and see if you can fit AC3 for primary audio and LPCM for secondary.

Well, I do think it's the same master they used for HDTV, just better optimized and less compressed for Blu-ray. I'm pretty sure a comparison would give it away. Nevertheless, although the master used may be quite old, and sometimes really "misty", there's some moments where there's a lot of definition in the picture, I'd say the faults are from the movie itself. Granted there was no DNR, and I think it's acceptable and the best the movie will look for years. It's a really nice presentation. We could have had it worse!

There were comparisons and it is different. Vastly different.

The only "definition" you're seeing is because of all the noise and chroma noise.
Chroma noise because the colored specs are not just grey specs.

If it's the same for the HDTV, there's no reason for the extra amount of crap that's in the HDTV version that wasn't in the bluray.
And it's not about cleaning it. The HDTV was pure garbage. Overshot brightness/contrast on *some* scenes. It was never consistent.
The colors were horrible, too.
There were a lot of problems in the HDTV. There would be evidence of it in the bluray.
I'm pretty sure I read it was a new scan. No reason not to.

The faults are in the movie because it's an ancient product. Western animated films are lucky to be preserved.
A number of older animated features are best at 720p, since there's no 1080p details and resizing to 720p hides some of the extra noise present in the film.

Well, there's some parts of the movie where it's too blurry because of the background noise, but there's also other parts of the movie where there's a lot of definition and the image is kinda clean for a scene in particular. Whatever, point is, it's not a bad transfer, we expected worse, and it's as good as we'll get

Currently trying to scan Zootopia's soundtrack. It's being a little pain in the ass because.. I really can't figure out how to make it completely STRAIGHT; as in, not positioned in a way that is a bit twisted.

I guess I can't do a high quality scan because when I try that, not only it takes a while, but amplifying it only brings a lot of picture/pixel problems.

Because I kind of broke a tiny part of the tray (thankfully a very tiny unnoticeable and not annoying part) I am determined to fully scan the whole of the soundtrack today or tomorrow, don't want to ever open the case again, don't want it to break, it was a gift from a friend.

Doing progress with the Zootopia scans. I have final versions of the back cover and tray, and CD (the prettiest one). But now I'm on to the hardest park; the booklet. It is a open-folded one so merging and scanning might be a pain in the ass. But I'm gonna try

because it's a scan. If you look at pre-digital sales scans, they all have the dots.
Perfectly normal for the normal market.
If you want high-res without the dots, you need to spend thousands.
or photoshop it. and lose details.

Today with iTunes and other digital sales, they got the best scans for their digital books and covers.

The format wont matter either. It doesn't matter if you save it as png/bmp/tif/tiff.

It's just how scanners are.
If you scan at 1:1, you won't see any of those dots.
If you scan at 10:1, it's scanning at a higher resolution. It'll capture details like letters and small details like eyes and objects.
But for flat areas (clothes, backgrounds, even clouds), any place that has no details and is just a smooth gradient of colors, you'll see dots.

The best you can do when scanning at higher resolutions is set it to the highest possible DPI: Dots Per Inch.
More DPI means those visible dots become smaller because your scanning with more dot pin-point presicion.
But most home scanners are limited.
So scan with the highest DPI and do it a dozen times at different resolutions until you find something that's less noisy to your liking.

It's like scanning film prints. Not really. But the same idea that scanning at higher resolutions produces noise because at some point, it has to make up details so it guesses.

I got cue and a log, and I tested it before ripping it.

How can I check that this rip is "perfection"?

If you used AccurateRip, you'll see "confidence: ##" for each track.
Higher numbers means more people ripped those tracks with the same settings as you (once drive offset fixed).
If you didn't use EAC with correcting offset for your drive, your samples will be different and you should not upload the ripping statistics as it will just bastardize everything else other people have taken the previous time to callibrate.

Low numbers or anything that says "not in database" means no one ripped and uploaded stats for your disc.
This is frequent for brand new CD's as not everyone bought it and ripped it. Especially for soundtracks where the market is significantly lower than the next justin beiber CD (which would have thousands of AccurateRip results submitted to the user database).

There's a couple guides on here for ripping with EAC.
OSTgems has it in his sig.
Follow that, and you're have "perfection".
Ignore that, and you'll never know if it was ripped accurately.
