The ONLY positive thing i've heard was from John Campea. He basically said its better than the last 2 Fantastic 4 films (which isnt hard to do :P ).

But I still do want to see it only so I can judge it for myself.... I'll just wait til the Blu-Ray comes out.

Got in from a late, exhausting night at 23:30, and then had to go and walk the neighbour's dog and give her some attention as well, so I'm now sitting on the floor in my bedroom at 00:20 catching up on stuff.

Got to get out earlier than usual for my Saturday childminding job tomorrow morning, which means getting up even earlier to walk the dog. So I will be waking myself at 6am latest. Thankfully, it's scheduled to be nice and sunny tomorrow, so I should see the sun rise a bit. That's always nice.

What am I doing? Sitting here, writing my paper (currently at about 1,550 words so far, and that's just the introduction and beginning of the first section), listening to The Help by Thomas Newman, consistently marking more and more cues as favourites. I'm already listening to the entire score for the second time all the way through. And I haven't even seen the film yet.

Installing the Homebrew Channel was fairly easy. I used the bomb method. Which is.. put your MAC adress of the Wii, download a RAR and put it on SD, and open a bomb mail on your Wii. A very accomplished director, nonetheless booted from Ant-Man; the screenwriting credit he was allowed to retain was worthless being the result of contingency plans negotiated in advance. Tony Gilroy maintained a credit for The Bourne Ultimatum though the shooting script bore virtually no similarity whatsoever to the rudimentary sketch he proffered, which barely fulfilled his obligation to retain credit.

This was Trank's sophomore effort. Not only was he a pawn, but he faced a time-bomb scenario. Trank's original vision was probably slashed and diluted nine or ten times at the studio's behest and hand.

I'm afraid, like emptymetaljacket said, that's not how the movie making business works. As a film student, yes, you can direct your own films and it's entirely your fault if the film is garbage. However, when a mega studio hires you to make/direct a movie, they have all the rights to do what they want, even if that means practically directing it themselves.

1080P is full HD. 720P is HD-Ready a resolution of 1280x720 (usually). The 720P he has found has an AC3 audiostream which is not lossless. DTSHDMA audio streams are found on complete or remuxed bluray rips which are quite large, but they are on the other hand lossless.

You should check out for a full BD in rutracker. I'm sure there's one there. If you don't wanna register I'll gladly send you a torrent!

I'm already a member of several private sites that don't resort to the Frankenstein monstrosities that RUtracker offers.
I can get the actual, legit bluray from somewhere else. With full (viable) details on the source.

RUtracker mixes from different sources but cannot be trusted as they're not 100% tech-savie about their process.
Half the bluray movies there have all sort of issues from doing things the wrong way.
They love over-using tsMuxeR and manage to screw up the folder structure so the bluray becomes unusable with eac3to or MakeMKV.
Not to mention the 20+ separate audio streams for the millions of Russian dubs they have.
The other thing is they don't really specify the source of their blurays.
Sometimes they might use the inferior transfer while there's a better source out there.

The only thing they really have going good for themselves are the 1080i D-Theater remuxes they have for True Lies and Evolution (2001).
They rarely get some good "open matte" blurays.
(open matte is a touchy subject as most scenes are filmed in open matte but special effects scenes are usually just zoomed in; or if it's a cheap Russian/Nordic distributor, it's always zoomed in).

I've got no room on my seedboxes for a full bluray where I only need the lossless audio stream.
I found a FLAC conversion but no one is seeding so I'm just going to wait or forgo if no one seeds it.

I've got over a few dozen actual full blurays on my externals to attend to as it is.

A couple of them are giving me problems as they are newer movies.
(and it doesn't matter if AnyDVD or other software is updated; more updates are needed)
(and, as usual, upscaled 7.1 where it's really 6.1)

If you're just going to playback, it doesn't matter.

If you're going to edit and use other software, there are bound to be issues.
About 1/3 that I grabbed before I joined private sites didn't work with all the software I was using.

And by "edit", I don't mean with a NLE (non-linear editor; Sony Vegas, Adobe products).
eac3to, mkvtoolnix, and MakeMKV couldn't do anything with them.
Not even tsMuxeR couldn't fix some of them.
my guess is that they used all deprecated versions of software and didn't update.

They have a really great internal there.
Found quite a few really great full BD's from their internal group.

Hopefully the whole story will come out and can serve as a cautionary tale to directors and studios alike.

DAK's right. One reason, of many, why GoT succeeds is because of its realistic and often graphic nature. Verisimilitude it's called: the details that make the unreal seem real. If GoT resembled say, Krull with no blood, gore, back stabbing, front stabbing, arrow infused head chopping politics it would not have lasted or become this popular. For many people the fantasy elements are a non starter but having a world which resembles ours and people behaving as people with and without power behave makes the series work and the fantasy palatable.

I also downloaded a Survival Horror game called Quadrant and holy FUCK the music was the best! Unfortunately it's a Unity game with 8 different asset files, OGGExtract and Sparky's program hasn't worked in extracting the cues.

If you really want to know, I believe masturbation is an inappropriate use of God's gift of sexual pleasure. If the animal can consent... yes. If the animal can't consent, then it's rape. But how can you know if
an animal is consenting if we can't communicate with it? Its a grey area. But most would just consider
it rape regardless..

As I've said before, and most of you know me and what my opinion is by now, I believe man was designed and created to have sex with woman, and vice versa. Mankind was created separately from the animal kingdom and therefore is not an animal. So by very definition, a human having sex with an animal is completely unnatural and that is why most people have the gut reaction of "No!" when they think about it. It's a violation of God's natural created order.

There is no way to ever tell for sure if an animal wants/likes it, so for all we know it could be rape every time. And that is evil.

But hey, those are my thoughts. You did ask.
