reset winsock, reset netsh ip config. Usually fixes a lot.

I used to do that all the time when my old, old PC had trouble connecting to the Internet. Worked like magic, but I just got so sick of doing it constantly.

It's not a problem with my computer or internet infact, but my Xbox 360 won't connect to the internet.
But everything in my house, including my Xbox One. Work fine.

After exhausting all of my usual routes to fix this bs, I just finished resetting all of my internet settings to factory default.

Skimming through my Aliens Blu-ray with the isolated score. Going back and forth between the final theatrical version and Horner's original as-written score is quite interesting.

The cue names pop up in a little dialogue box as they play. The final theatrical score does not have slates, while Horner's original version does. I guess because Cameron altered the cues so much for the final theatrical version to the point where the cues were so heavily altered they couldn't have slates anymore. They were no longer original. :laugh:

The game does not suck, its generally a decent game (look up some reviews, 8/10 on Steam for example :p). Its pretty fucking hard though.
I read that the creator, Ed Annunziata, made it hard so it wouldn't be so short to beat.

I bought the entire series on iTunes and removed the DRM a few months ago. But now my HD has crashed and I lost all that. Granted i could re-do it. But that would require uninstalling itunes and re-installing an older version. Then I'd have to download remove the DRM from all the episodes which takes a long while.

There's no details in the 1080p versoins because iTunes doesn't use HQ encoding settings.

found a "matrix font" that includes Kanji.
But it's not the custom mix of half-width Kanji, reverse symbols and upside down symbols.
Apparently it's impossible to make a font.

The current matrix font has the Roman alphabet in it so it sucks.

Got a new upload.

Doing my weekly bed bug inspection. Unfortunately they came back with me when I was still in a homeless shelter, then moved to an apartment. I've manage to kept them out a lot. Very rarely do I see them anymore, a I check EVERYTHING.

We lived in an apartment building where there were bedbug infestations. We had to keep spraying the front door area with vinegar and paprika because the whole place was carpeted.
Eventually, we did get them and had to wrap up everything and leave it all on the patio for the sun to bake everything.

Fortunately, we were able to catch them before they laid eggs.

Well I know they've laid eggs because I'll see 2-4 every now and again. I've been using a pesticide (one of the very few that actually works) and diatomaceous earth. Seems to work well for me

It's EXTREMLEY dangerous for small insects like bed bugs. But also 100% safe for humans. In fact, it's used when growing grain, and is completely edible.

For insects though, it fucks them up. It cuts and slices open their exoskeleton and dries them out til they die. Quite horrific for them I'm sure :P

I wonder if UHD-BD will be like BR3D. My BR drive for my laptop isn't BR-3D, but it can read the disc just fine, and PowerDVD will recognize it as a BR3D disc and can play it in 3D if I choose to.

But then again UHD-BR are supposed to be using HVEC which might keep current BR drives from reading them.

2D-BD and 3D-BD use the same disc and same specifications.
the only reason boxes advertize "3D-BD" is because they didn't know what they were really doing, but all BD drives can read the 2D and 3D discs.

The new UHD-BD will be different discs entirely.

I was re-reading the press release on them and they will require brand new players for home viewing and brand new disc drives for PC/MAC.
New lasers/lenses.

The only thing "backwards compatible" about the new system is that the UHD-BD players can still play regular BD (Full HD; 1080p; AVC/VC-1/MPEG-2) and DVD.

The AVC/MVC (3D) and HEVC decoding is only codec-dependant on the PC side.
