Nothing much lately. I've felt preoccupied with a topic of thought or two, or three (won't go to specifics at the moment, but it's not politically concerned) in my head and it's definitely taken a toll of my schoolwork. It's an enduring and lingering thought(s) that I tend to fall back on at least 2 - 5 times a day, and one of them has been existent for a months time, fluctuating in importance. but I think it's been most prominent now. I should be able to drop for at least four hours to push through my schoolwork so I can be done for the day, but when you're preoccupied by a thought that's of decent importance to you, it's overall distracting - that's how it is for me. I'm at least in the right to begin at 9 AM, though. But it probably wouldn't hurt to wake and up earlier and start even earlier. :smrt:

CUEtools is the log checker thing, isn't it? He swears by it. Even though I believe I proved to him that it can easily be faked.

It can access the AccuRip database. Which takes into a account a lot of rips and their settings from programs like EAC.
Vital points that make all the difference if a drive has been configured for read offset.

Any program that can detect offset and access AccuRip database is worth looking into for rips.

That's why I trapped it. I didn't want Brunhild to get injured. She's so territorial and she'll attack anything that wanders into her domain. (Like the rat she brought me several weeks ago.) Last week I broke up a fight between them before blood got shed.

Ironically, injury is how she came to trust me. Two years ago our neighbor moved away and abandoned her and it took months for her to trust me. Then she got in a fight with something that left a large puncture in her neck. It got infected but she let me drain the pus and apply antibiotic. Fortunately she healed quickly and became my cat.

It's entirely possible that the rips you found have SFX... but I've been working with DVD audio rips for years now and it's also entirely possible to dumb down or even completely mute the FX.

I've joined in because I've already been doing the Nintendo homebrew shtick since I got my Wii back in 2009/2010. I waited a while for the 3DS and Wii U, since I knew it needed a lot of development when I had first gotten those systems. Needless to say, having followed wiibrew.org (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Main_Page) extensively a few years back, it's nice to see that's gotten in such an advanced state. Real impressed with the stuff they managed to pull off here. It's sad that development on original Wii homebrew has slowed down (with Nintendont being the only notable thing now), but that's technology for you. I'm not certain if I'm going to attempt the Wii U yet, considering I've run into as many problems on my vWii as I have my real one, but it'll certainly be interesting.

What exactly is the free shop app and how does it fuction? I'm curious.

Anyhow, I plan to homebrew the PSP that my brother-in-law will give me. It's sure gonna give me a lot to work with, so it'll certainly be a busy summer alright.

By the way, both of you should join (if you aren't on them yet) UGC, GGn and 3DSISO since you are able to (everyone can join 3DSISO tho) :

GGn is arguably the best private tracker for games/ost/magazine. The ratio is pretty hard to maintain for someone who doesn't have a good connection (atleast 100kbps upload) or a seedbox, why ? Because every new uploaded torrent is freeleech for 6 hours

UGC on the other hand have a bonus point system and some week freeleech iirc (not on it) so thats a better one for low connections.

3DSIso is a nice DDL 3DS site. You can find unofficial translation etc ....

The Wii U can be homebrewed too, and it has some similar app to freeshop, that gets anything from eShop but as far as I know right now it's only through computer and HDD, then to Wii U, there's also Loadline, that's the program that charges up Wii ISOS and programs. However, for that I'll just wait. With the Wii U literally stopping being supported after Breath of the Wild releases, over the year more easy homebrew ways for the Wii U will be done, maybe perhaps even a way to have Wii U games in the same HDD I use for GCN and Wii on the vWii. Who knows? The wait will be worth it, I'm pretty sure sometime this year the Wii U homebrew will be as easy and perfected as the Wii and 3DS ones are right now.

Freeshop is an app that literally downloads anything from the eShop itself. It's neat. You can get all the info here. https://freeshop.pw/ It's just a trouble that the 3DS is limited to 1MB per download, so it can take a while to get a game.

Many. The entire web is going crazy with this news. In my country it's translated "Gli Ultimi Jedi", which is plural and obviously sounds awful (in Italian). It would have sounded better if it was singular, "L'Ultimo Jedi" but we always have to get the worst-sounding translations of the galaxy.

You know, I am considering if I want to avoid all the trailers, spots and clips or not. I did for TFA and I went to the theater with no idea and expectations for it, and I enjoyed it a lot while the rest of the world was split between the haters and lovers of the film. I think that much of the hate is somehow related to high expectations made by the marketing.

It's amusing that the audience, who are probably the most media saturated and most media savvy in modern history, complain the loudest about how deceptive trailers are. The goal of trailers or previews or whatever is to get assess into theater seats. That's it. That's what marketing does. You'd think the audience would understand that and take the trailers with a large grain of salt.

It's better, IMO, to look at the directors and writers to get an idea what the product will ultimately look like.

And BTW it's rumored the first Last Jedi trailer will appear in April.

Buddies dragged my Ass outta the House to watch the Football (Soccer),
Game started at 1:30 Pm, went to a Greek first to grab a Bite to eat,
then we watched the Game and filled our Bellies with Bier and Schnaps.

Grabbed a Cab at around 04:45 PM, fell straight into Bed and slept for
9 Hours until ~2 Am.

Not a Sports Fan at all, or a socializing Fan for that Matter, :laugh:

That's always an unwelcome surprise. My parents have some old DVDs of us kids when we were real young... they asked me to rip the contents to a hard drive a few weeks ago, but everything was seemingly gone!

Was checking out Sparktank's rips of Doctor Strange Blu-ray that he sent to me, and the mix in the film features different instruments at specific times in the movie, the part where Strange is looking outside in the distance at the very end of the film seems to feature sitar, yet, the film mix features strings in that very small segment. I guess the smallest things can make the biggest differences.

I definitely think that the strings version works better in the piece, because the climax of the piece resolves with the strings, so why not? Lol, anyways, it's really cool in my book, how there are slightly different versions of every cue in a film, and sometime those slight changes can make the biggest impacts. The FYC/OST version of Strange Days Ahead right after the Harpsichord part both feature the sitar part, but the film features those lovely strings, and, it's clean!!

I like how the visual end credits is actually mixed for 7.1.
Definitely shows they put efforts into the mixing for the movie.

For as many years it's been around and as many times this happened to their users, I'm still surprised there's no definitive articles that goes into the programming mechanics about iphones and tips on what to do to make sure this happens less frequently.

I say any free or paid solution is a gamble.
Over half the available programs just use the iTunes library (ie, you must have iTunes installed) and merely presents a different GUI for synching.

I never sync, I always update my iPhone manually. I don't trust the sync process at all. Even managing it manually is a hassle. I sometimes drag albums onto my iPhone to sync, you'll see the progress bar complete, yet when I unplug and check my iPhone, they're not there. Plug it back in and they're on the phone, but greyed out (not synced yet). Do you think there'd be a right-click option that says "sync now" ? Nope... remove them and try to do it over again, and simply hope it works this time round.

Apple bought out all the pioneering mp3 players of the late 90s and early 2000s before enough people were aware of the potential, so they could maintain a monopoly without ever having to invest a dime or minute into functional and intelligent software.
