I used to have cheap paper filters but when I run it, sometimes the paper collapses on itself and coffee grains get into the coffee pot. :sad:

But, now with the new plastic filter from the dollar store, there should be NOTHIGN going in except, sweet sweet coffee. :awsm:

I am getting ready to take an hour long rest I go up around 12pm this afternoon but wanted to go back to bed but a line of thunderstorms went thought from 12pm until almost 2pm this afternoon with a lot of cloud to ground lighting and very heavy rain it will be interesting to see how much rain we got from that slow line of thunderstorms this afternoon I will have to watch the news around 6pm when I wake up from my hour long rest I have to work tomorrow from 11am until 4pm tomorrow and work again this weekend from 130-530 both on Saturday and sunday. I can'nt wait until football session starts the American football the NFL. I don't think that my favorite baseball team is going to the playoffs this year the owner made a bad ass mistake by trading one of the closers on my favorite baseball team my favorite baseball team is not going anywhere this year we have the worst record in leguge that my favorite baseball team is in and those who live in USA you know what baseball team that I am talking about I just hope that my favorite football team does good this year and gets into the playoffs and is the superbawl champion this year if not there is always hockey to watch from October until next June.

I'm about to say something which I usually feel uncomfortable with. I feel accepted here. I'm 14 and a lot of people don't really accept me because they're the "grown ups".

With my diabetes I have to regularly test my blood glucose (~2 hours) and since I've slept until eight o'clock, my control has been everywhere today. It's difficult trying to keep myself calm when I play videogames or when people don't understand, like arrogant children at school who are like: "Hahaha! Look what that kid has stuck on his arm!"; or "He's got diabetes so he's fat and eats junk all day!". It really tests my nerves, because stereotypically, what do you think of when you hear the word "diabetes"?
Fat. Don't deny it. It was fat, cakes and couch potatoes, wasn't it?

Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are completely different. Type 1, which is what I have, is caused by nothing. Well, it's caused by something obviously but nobody knows what. All they say is that you're more likely to get it if a previous member in your family has it, and, funnily enough, I'm the first one in our tree. I've broken it, hooray! I have to put an extremely sticky insulin pod on my arm, controlled by a wireless PDM which I keep on me at all times. Inside this "pod" is a container which holds the insulin I put in there with a syringe, a ringer if it malfunctions, a red light to signify whether its been turned on or not, and a cannula. A cannula which has to be stabbed inside me.

With this Wireless PDM, I have to inject myself with a certain amount of insulin depending on how many carbohydrates I eat. If it's a ratio of 1:18, I have 1 unit of insulin every 18g of Carbohydrates. It's very, very difficult to keep a track of what's what, and my parents think that they're the ones who've got this Diabetes hard. I won't go any more into that because if I do it'll just be eight pages of ranting.
Anyway, this pod can malfunction at any time, and that's the reason I keep this pouch with me. It has spare batteries for the PDM, insulin, a finger-stabber which I use to test my blood glucose, blood test strips, the PDM, a syringe, spare needles, a booklet, etc. and if it does malfunction I have to stop whatever I'm doing wherever I am and no matter what it may be, I have to sit there in public and change it. Sometimes I have to place it on my thigh, and it's rediculously embarrasing to do it infront of everyone. "Why don't you go to the bathroom?" Because it needs to be changed NOW. I can't explain it to the shop owners or anybody, it needs to be changed as soon as I can possibly change it. I constantly need a background dose, you see.
The easiest way I explain it to people with no knowledge is, every human has a pancreas. All of yours (I assume), are working and developing insulin. Mine's stopped working, so I've got to manually inject it instead.
Kids laugh at that. Could you believe?

Type 2 diabetes is what people think of as the stereotypical diabetes. High sugar diets, fatty foods and obesity. These people have to take... OH NO! A TABLET!
The treatment is so much easier for Type 2, but I'm just glad that I don't have it. School would be HELL if I did. It's bad enough now.

Sorry for the ranting. I feel uncomfortable posting this anywhere else as most people usually think I'm attention seeking. I know you're all responsible people.

Just the interesting stuff. Although this is on the second time I've done this. Saving Mr. Banks was the first. 68.7 Gigs total for that one. But that was also a way smaller marketing campaign than Avengers was. So not as many files to download. Still huge though!

ProRes is far better than DVCpro.
I got one DVCpro, ProRes and one MXF format before and noticed that DVCpro tends to use "anamorphic" aspect ratios.
1440x1080 is like 4:3 bluray (1:1 AR).
But with the 1440 in DVCpro, you can re-encode to get back the 1920x1080 (minus the crop).
From what I see, ProRes is FHD (Full High Definition: 1920x1080, non-amamorphic).
Plus DVC is usually interlaced.

I remember when studios accidentally put the full DVCpro trailer up instead of their own encode, they were anamorphic and interlaced (really just progressive in an interlaced container for some odd reason :confused: )

I would love to work for WB... all their SS/BvS.... everything.

Some good news to anyone that cares.

I posted a while ago on "What Do You Dream??" about my YouTube channel.


Every since I was 8, I've been trying to entertain people by making some funny gaming videos on YouTube. I watched Markiplier, my inspiration, go with the Make a Wish Foundation and helped this poor man get the equipment he needs to start out on YouTube.

What an amazing man Markiplier is. I burst into tears when I seen this man so happy that he got what he wanted, and Markiplier is such a kind person to make his wish come true. Now I just wish it could happen to me.
I upload two videos a day, each video consuming, at the least, two hours of my time to record, edit, render and upload and I get about 3 people viewing them. It makes me so happy to see people like the man in the video start up on YouTube with all the equipment he needs, etc. and I hope one day the same will happen to me.

So, what do I dream? I dream to be a successful YouTuber and would like to entertain people on dark days.

I've been skipping past some dialogue and going through some scenes.
Some very interesting screenshots that may or may not be useful to some or none individual(s).

The video is not altered.
It's indexed with DGdecNV ($15) and processed using my NVidia CUDA-enabled card.
Any media player (including MPC-HC, VLC, etc) will alter data as the screenshots would be post-processed (depending on the codecs used, any filters/settings, and the renderer used ---- even if MadVR was selected as the renderer).

It's back when film was still used. So it's not going to look all shiny like today's digital films.
Plus, I'm going to pop in my Transformers: DOTM bluray and take some screenshots of the scenes recycled for T:DOTM straight out of The Island.
(Because there was some incidents where they hired any Tom, Dick, and Harry for stunt driving for $50... accidents happened... = recycle and CG the scene = no lawsuits)

Once, I'm done with The Island, I'll up them all. People can have a peek at them.

I am going to convert some Disney park videos and go to bed it is after 10pm eastern here and I had a long day at work today slow but tomorrow will be busy again at work but I don't go to work tomorrow until 130-530 tomorrow and the same time on Sunday I work at local movie theater in my area. I am thinking about seeing the Mission Impossible on Sunday after work with my family if my manger lets me get passes to see that movie this weekend but sadly it probably will not happen because it is the opening weekend for that movie and I useily have to wait a week to see a new movie. It should not be busy on Fridays much anymore because the kids in my area go back to school at the end August so it will slow down on Fridays but not the weekends and then it gets busy again for the big holiday movie session for the new hunger games part2 in IMAX 3D and regular 3D and the movie that I have been waiting all year for comes out on December 18th Star wars the force awakens. I hope that the 3rd and final trier comes out soon because tomorrow is August 1st her in the USA and the movie will be 4 months away tomorrow her in the USA. and then September comes and my 32nd birthday comes on September 10th and then Halloween comes and then we get closer to 2016 coming and there is some big movies next year and a new NASCAR game comes out for the PlayStation 4 in the fall of next year and football session starts at the end of August I want to be August now so I can watch Sunday night football on NBC from August until January before the Superbowl in February and the Daytona 500 near the middle of February next year. if this post is to long and am sorry I just have alot on my mine tonight and I am now ready for football session and the NFL session to start my favorite baseball team is not going anywhere this year and now the manger just tried another really good player warring I am going to say something bad we are getting fucking messed up this year in baseball sorry if offended anyone but I had to get that out of my system I just hope my favorite football team wins alot of games this year and goes to the playoffs if that does not happen I have my favorite Ice Hockey team to watch on TV when I don't work and maybe go to a couple of local Ice Hockey games in my area they are a AHL team the Hershey bears but I do not know there schedule yet and most games that are home are on the weekends when I work and start at 5pm or 7pm 5pm games are going to be hard to get to because of my work schedule I work until 530pm now we have a new Gm I used to work until 5pm and now it is until 530pm I not mid because it is more money for me to spend on a new PlayStation 4 next year and the new NASCAR game on the PlayStation 4 next year.

I'm in tears again watching my inspiration YouTuber unbox some gifts that fans have sent him. I don't know why it makes me act the way I do. I really don't know. I don't know if its because I'm happy to see him happy to receive such wonderful gifts, that he's my inspiration and people are helping him through this, or whether I'm sad its not me.
It's a shame. I upload two videos a day only to get, at the most, 3 views. My commentary is fine, my mic is a bloody good one, my PC is a beast, and I've got trio monitors. I don't know what else I can do.

I sold my Xbox and PS3 as soon as I got a PC. I despise consoles.

I've been trying to collaborate, like getting some friends together to play Prop Hunt, but nobody's free. I'm running solo at the minute. Speedrunning is NOT what I do. I don't like fast-paced games, I prefer games that are slow or are controllable, like ARK: Survival Evolved or, what I've been playing recently, The Long Dark.

Really? Please don't tell me you're not a Tim Story proponent. Until recently, I thought the only thing that looked bad about the film were Reg E. - The studio apparently doesn't feel confident enough to spend the extra money to convert to 3D
- Trank's behavior on set apparently cost him a job directing a new Star Wars
- Matthew Vaughn (who made First Class and wrote Days of Future Past) is rumored to have done some last-minute reshoots because Trank was being a weirdo
- Dr. Doom was at one point rumored to be an angst-ridden computer blogger/hacker

And then let's look at the trailers:

- Bleak, dark tone
- The actor for Reed Richards sort of sucks
- No costumes
- Dialogue is stupid
- And most importantly... the Thing has no pants!!

I'll partially reply within-quote as well. I had already acknowledged that the studio's behavior doesn't bode well as far as speculation goes (though Fox has such a history of caution it's near-idiosyncratic with all major releases) but as far as material released goes, it thought it kinda looked good. What you've mentioned is mostly Perez Hilton-quality "gossip", most of which has already been proved to be nothing more, time and time again. I'm not saying that your suspicion could be wrong. I think it could easily be a disaster; I see it as a very real possibility especially after Miles Teller's idea of how the movie will be reviewed. I was also not excited to hear about the on-set problems with Trank though if they're true, I feel sorry for the guy. He went from a just over $10mil indie movie to a "reportedly" under-budgeted $122mil Fox movie. The pressure could've easily gotten to him, though as far as any credible and reliable sources go he was present throughout the whole film, including reshoots.

- Bleak, dark tone - So obviously automatically bad... because that's how movies work... right?
- No costumes - see above.
- Dialogue is stupid - You've haven't even heard full dialogue. So far marketing campaign has largely been a collection of soundbites.
- And most importantly... the Thing has no pants!! - It's seems to be a different take. Hardly enough to warrant "plain ol' bad".

Then there's this:
- The actor for Reed Richards sort of sucks - I just had to single this one out, if only to not dignify this with an answer. We obviously have two very different ideas about... everything... in general if you think Miles Teller "sort of sucks".

Hardly. As I said, I'd only ever had good exchanges with Gold before this and I was completely caught off guard. The difference from when COTT got a 3D release and nowadays...

If there's enough money, you can make non-3D films look fancy enough that it isn't destroyed.
The software/hardware for converting is getting better every year.
Old movies like COTT shouldn't be a basis for anything today.

I can't imagine all of Jurassic World was shot in 3D.
Most movies aren't shot in 3D all the way through.

Age of Ultron was converted to 3D.
It shows. It had some moments but overall, it lacked a lot of 3D potential.

Personally, for movies that are not filmed for 3D or 3D conversion, should just let the home systems do that.
LG Smart 3D Tv's, software players that can convert to 3D for you.

If there's not enough money thrown at it, it will look cheap.
If you spend a lot of money on it, it will look like you spent too much money on it.

IMAX 3D conversion inhouse is very nice.
They should make their services more affordable for studios to use in post-production.

For 2D movies in theaters, I usually bring either a pair of Pulfrich (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulfrich_effect) glasses or ChromaDepth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChromaDepth).

Although, ChromaDepth takes getting used to since if there isn't a perfect condition of light and psychological focus, you're bound to see the color spectrum flashing all over the place on the glasses.
And, even as it's meant for solid colors, the actual use for ChromaDepth is horrid. Nothing looks good in ChromaDepth.
It probably serves best in those haunted houses. But pictures "created for ChromaDepth" are just silly.
Crayola did something better in the past.

Most movies look better in ChromaDepth than the actual post-production conversion.
It looks way better when you interpolate the framerate to at least double the original FPS.

That's mostly if you're into that though.
It's not for everyone. ;)

Also, I think today's 3D movies are still gimmicky.
Everyone still has this concept that eye-popping 3D is the best.
But anything over an hour, or even half an hour, with eye-popping 3D and your brain will tire quickly.
It's too much data for the brain to process. I don't care who you are and I don't need to know you to tell you that.
It's scientifically impossible to enjoy eye-popping 3D for over 2 hours straight.

When I went to go see Jurassic World in IMAX 3D,
the 3D IMAX logo was insanely eye-popping in had the best 3D I've ever seen.
Since it was all CG created, they can do everything they want without context of a story or dialogue.
It was a perfect demo for maximum 3D capability.

But it also hurt my eyes and made my brain fuzzy.
It's a short 20 second clip. And it hurt.
And I watch mostly everything in some form of 3D all the time. The whole movie.

Actual, scientific 3D?
Dead. No one can last that long and find it enchanting all the way through as they did the first 20 seconds.

The ancient days of 3D film making, they did it in anaglyph and only in small portions.
The whole movie was rarely in 3D.
Which was smart.


I'm really, actually happy that they cancelled post-3D conversion.
Let the TV's at home do it if they want to.
Let the software players do it.
Back when Arcsoft's "Total MediaTheater" was still an active product, it did an okay job converting movies on the fly.
Cyberlink's PowerDVD does a good job.
Hell, even 3dat.tv's Stereoscopic Player can be set to convert monoscopic film (2D) into 3D and it does okay.

3D blurays are far worse.
They shift the entire video over to allow giant black bars on the left side to create a 3D parallax for 3D bluray machines.
Even on CG movies where they can just create the extra data that's not originally there. Why?
Seems like a bum technology still for home users.
Guardians of the Galaxy has it the worst.
If it's not the black bars, it's over-saturation (why? because that's how cheap 3D tv's are, they need the saturation exaggeration).
If it's not black bars or colors, it's brightness (luma) levels.
Dark movies too dark for "most TV's" are calibrated for "calibrated" TV's.
Michael Bay did this for T:DOTM. He said it's not his fault that most TV manufacturer's are too cheap to make an actual TV with proper, calibrated levels.
And, there are a lot of brands out there. A lot of companies that don't put in any effort except to mass produce at lower costs.
I've seen multiple forums where people asking for help on their TV that isn't even a major name brand, but instead some very cheap product name that went out of business out in the middle of nowhere.

Black bars, saturation, and darkness.
Everything wrong with home 3D.

It's a lose/lose situation no matter where you go. :-/

It doesn't grab your attention the way an interesting camera angle or a fun piece of music would. It's more like, "haha, cool, can we get back to the movie please?"

The studios don't care about directors' intents as much as they do those ticket prices. By cancelling the 3D showings they're losing a lot of potential money. Why would they do that? My thought is because Fox is worried that the film won't make enough money to cover the cost of a 3D conversion.

Or maybe Fox is really being nice and actually caring about what the director says. Trank has a "found footage" style, and that probably doesn't look too appealing in 3D I imagine. Either scenario is possible (though I think the former is more plausible).

4D Is The Attractions Like A Theme Parks I Beleive Where They Have Actual Props And People.

4D is where, like, there's fire on the screen and the room becomes hotter for a moment. Or you're underwater and it starts sprinkling from the ceiling.

As you might imagine, the target audience is easily wowed little kids.

I can imagine watching a movie where all four walls of the room are screens. It would be trippy but I have a feeling it would be very cool.
Like, you could look behind you and see what's behind you in the movie, etc.

YouTube have actually added a "YouTube Turn" thing, (I don't know what it's called) but it's a full 360* video, it's awesome.

4D film or 4-D film is a marketing term for an entertainment presentation system combining a 3D film with physical effects that occur in the theatre in synchronization with the film.

I think it's something a director has to really think about in pre-production.
Walk the set with an experienced cinematographer about the 3D process.
Some shots can look really enhanced with the aid of 3D.
But, not just the eye-popping way that most audience members want.

Peter Jackson has a lot of fun with cameras. I find those help the most with my 3D glasses.

Agreed that it sounds like bullshit. And that is exactly why the only other possible explanation is that 20th Century Fox thinks the movie sucks. Maybe (just maybe) it could be because re-rendering isn't an over-night process (or as negligible a cost as you think it is. nb. I can tell you this for a fact because I have happened to work in post-prod. and everything costs way more than you think it does) and given the very limited window had, a half-assed conversion wasn't deemed worth the cost. It's no secret that this was, unfortunately, a rushed production.
