I have a younger brother (who sometimes could pass for my twin, even in mom's eyes) and an older sister. He and I would always gang up on here since we're the boys, and 2 always turn against 1. But I'm very protective of my brother as well. My sister is a big gal, but she's also never been in a position where a guy has wronged her. And the one she's with now is a firefighter and in the National Guard. He actually reports to the same base where my brother is stationed atm. So he definitely got points before we even met him. Especially dad. Dad loves him. But anyway, the 3 of us are extremely close. My sister and I got closer when my brother left for S Korea for his first tour from May 2013-May 2014. He's my best friend and him being physically gone for an entire year was by far the hardest thing I have ever gone through. Now he's only 3 hours away and comes home on weekends when he can. Him even being back in the US is huge. And also the same state and time zone. So when all my sis and I had were each other because he was gone, we got closer.

I wish you could know what it's like. I think if I had a younger sister it would be different. But because we're both boys it works out better. He's my co-pilot in life. We go everywhere together, do everything together. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Here's the two of us earlier this summer. It's probably the closest anyone here will ever got to seeing me. So take all in and enjoy it :p

It's a good system.

You get a bunch of points when someone gives you a rep. Depending on their reputation, you'll get more or less points when they give you a rep. Every hundred points, you get another green bar (or 'blimp' if that's what you call them). Then, when you get to 1,000 points, it changes to another green bar every two hundred points (at least, I think those are the amounts - someone correct me if I'm wrong).

But that's the way the system works, anyway.

I'll try condensing it into a plot-hole filled affair. I have two brothers - one biological and younger by three yrs.; the other, a "half-brother" by eleven yrs. younger (though I've never felt anything but love for him and the near generational gap between has been a cornerstone of our bond through the years). I should've prefaced this by saying that my view of "family" has always been a fragmented one: my first brother and I were adopted by an anglophilic Italian family, our biological Welsh parents keeping us together after regretting their choice to have a son a second time, but a divorce forced unpredictable, scattered dynamics on us, preventing a close bond from forming. Jump a few years to when all the wrong was rectified because after finishing middle school by the time I should've been starting it ('accidental' early start and a breeze through early grades) I chose to move back with my father for high-school when second brother was born. Essentially I started being an older brother to both at the same time and because I was pre-maturely exposed to a much more 'serious' world I assumed the big brother mantle with the same gravity that I imagine, in hindsight, Batman would've... literally xD I drew first blood for my biological brother - who though perfectly normal, if not a musical virtuoso, suffered initial developmental problems so one bully too many would linger after school - when I was only eleven. I actually wouldn't want for my childhood to happen in any other way, even if it meant actually having a family I cared for outside of my brothers. I'm my biological brother's best friend and mentor and our relationship is, though dotted by some distance and rough fights, incredibly strong. And I'm a mythological figure to the youngest who always seeks me out for advice with reverence lol he allows me to not only relive moments but be involved in a way that would otherwise only evoke nostalgia.

Yes, of course I've been brainwashing him this whole time and of course I am nudging him toward political studies. My Astro A40's are doing something weird after all these years now. The microphone mute slider (when off) removes all center-panned audio and
makes R&L audio center panned and adds a bunch of reverb O.o. Only turns back to normal when the microphone mute slider is on.

To recap, I took a short clip of the movie.
Then cut it up about several different times, adding effects, thus creating different effect clips.
each clip got different treatments to give smoother results.
I tried my best to smooth out the clear border near the top.
But since I was doing this in Avisynth and not Adobe or anything, I only used what I had.
I didn't spend enough, otherwise I could have made up to 20 cuts of the same frames to try blend over the border.

Here's the primary image, uncropped and original size.

This frame was just a still frame for the main image.

here's the other 3 clips I used, and duplicated with different results.
I added black bars to distinguish difference.
the middle clip runs for 2 frames while the outside clips run for 12 frames.

I also took the bottom half and ran it for 12 frames, too, but with the original middle part.
So about 5 clips used total.
Plus a blank clip to add a 1 frame delay to the same image, so 6 effective clips.

I added a lot of blur to try make it look smoother. so the cuts weren't obvious.

Hold on, hold on... I don't know who your "lowering down to his pathetic level" service provider is but I can guarantee you that if you're not getting three, at the very least two, decent degrees with it, you are getting screwed out of your own money. you might want to check that. Post-grad and cumlaude aren't as pressing right now but let me know what you find out.

It's 7.1. Downmixing to 5.1 or something may have caused some sonic interference.
Maybe the 7.1 layout for the movie is tinkered with.

It's Dolby Atmos, but ffmpeg and libav filters skip those headers and read regular 7.1 surround sound.

TrueHD doesn't have any pertinent information like "strange setup" like DTS has.

I don't believe I've ever seen M:I1 anywhere, not sure it's leaked, if at all. The only legit M:I2 is the one with slates that scorepranos posted. M:I3 and Ghost Protocol are legit as well.

IIRC, 1 only has the retail album "inspired by" and the score album.
I bought the album used from a pawn shop and got the score for my birthday. I was pretty happy.

I think 1 has very clean opening so I can rip the drum part of the score in surround sound.
I remember loving the upgrade from DVD to BD remux so much.

I didn't just remux TDAT, but I scanned it, cropped the black bars away but I didn't stop there, no sir.

This one, I upscaled to 16 bit video (double than normal 8 bit) and covnerted it to RGB.
I could just convert it simply to RGB from YV12. But I wanted to do it with the least amount of mathematical rounding errors, yep.

Should be much better to work with than the previous batch I did all in YV12.

YV12 is the standard colorspace for movies. DVD, BD, HD-DVD, youtubes.
Higher spaces are YV16, YV24, but not conventional for home video. Mostly for post-production editing uses.

DVD, BD, HD-DVD and most other videos are just 8-bit depth video.
HD cams can do 10-bit or maybe 16-bit.
The maximum available for editing is 16 bits pers sample.
It's not like audio, you'll never see a 64-bit video. Any PC or MAC will break as soon as it looks at it.

16-bit is not convention for home viewing, either.
It's good for editing, though.
Once you're done, just downcovnert to 8bit again.
Or 10bit. Reduce banding errors and compress more to save space and retain quality.

I'm going to tinker with a few more settings. See if I can increase quality.
Not so much "increase" as "fine tune" where needed. If I see some severe banding (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colour_banding), I'll try clean it out.

I'll upload PNG to Imgur, like before.
But I'll also upload separate archvie with BMP's instead of PNG's.

If request, I can also upscale to 4K resolution for top-picked pictures. :)

I should also note, there was a very nifty program from a site (now dead and taken down): Cinema Squid.
They hosted a lot of bluray screenshots.
The tool they used converted to RGB, as well, instead of regular YV12.

No idea about bit depth. Probably still 8bits.
Which is still nice for looks and editing.

I found a file on my external "test.mka" and I started to play it.
It was V For Vendetta I had remuxed from my own disc (only 12.5GB total for movie and TrueHD 5.1).
I converted the TrueHD stream to 5.1 FLAC and just listening to the tail end of the end credits.
I can break it down in 3 messy parts.
The second song more or less just fades/transforms into the score for the last bit.
The score on the end credits is also a weird mis of fades and edits.
Sounds more like a SoundCloud sample. :laugh:
This is one of those movies where I wish it was all score.

Today I've accomplised a few things. I got every Doctor Who (Murray Gold) soundtrack organized and Synced, I put together my own Interstellar complete score (Utilizing Lockdown's Complete edit, the 24bit Deluxe, the Illuminated Star Projection and the 180g Vinyl). Admittedly, all the versions of Interstellar out there always sound better on speakers than on monitors. Perhaps that's the way it was intended. At least for me, I find it way more enjoyable to hear the Interstellar music through my Bose surround system than my headphones.

Well that's about 560 of 4000 songs done.
This is also the first time I've ever had Interstellar
music in my library. I really wanted to wait for
lossless sessions, but, I figured there's enough
material out there to make a 98% lossless
complete score. I am happy with the outcome.

The movie wouldn't be the same without their wacky moments.

:laugh: The English dub is horrid. For the monsters talking back and forth in their own language (growls, shrieks, etc), they had actors voice translate what they're saying. It's so horrible, I hate it.
You don't need anything translated for what they say to each other. Don't even need subtitles for it.

That's also the one where Godzilla and Anguirus are like C-3PO and R2-D2 in that one.

At the very end when it showed father and son reuniting and then with a lot of people on the rooftops waiting to be rescued, I started crying at it.
Even though I wasn't watching it with audio or live video.

Just scanning through frame-by-frame was enough for me to remember what the movie is like with sound and live video.
