Disc 1: Score ripped from ScoreRevolution. I listened to the entire thing while ripping and I have the nagging feeling cues are missing. Perhaps from other composers. That's why I need to dig into the score's production history first.
Disc 2: Fake and/or real cues I have to sort through. Everything else must go.

Chillaxing in the cafeteria of Saranac Lake high school in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York. I think we're on lunch right now. I can't believe how slow it's been today, yesterday we were backed up and double-shooting all the students.

Tonight we're going into Lake Placid and doing mini golf and getting dinner. Probably check out some breweries along the way as well.

Unfortunately the episodes were only mixed in stereo. Aside from the tracks I think I've sent you, nothing has ever surfaced. LLL has expressed interest in JLU in the past though.

I think Netflix has the final mix stems though, or at least M&E tracks. The audio for their copies of the episodes is mixed differently.

Doing services for my school.

Working on my Spyro gamerips. Specially the first 3 games at the moment. Basically. I got the original music files from HCS64, I transfered them to FLAC and now I'm simply tagging and ordering them according to other people's tracklist work. It's no different than their rips, other than this is mine, for my use, and more based on the original music left intact, no crappy remasters. This music really can't be remastered much, really. It just how it sounds, and any kind of "remaster" work might just make it sound worse.

Here's another one. RE: Extinction, combined from a Score Revolution website rip and a "complete"" score I found somewhere. When I put it all together and I get rid of the duplicates, I still only end up with 1h48m, while the supposed complete score was 1h34m. Since the Score Revolution website has a lot of edit cues, I feel I'm still missing stuff somewhere. I'd have to check my DVDs of RE1 and RE3 before I post these so I'm sure I'm not missing out on anything.

Well, I have good news to share for once; I actually passed the English tests I did a few weeks ago. Yes, I got a B2 degree in English now. And I mean as a language, since I live in Spain I've finally passed a fucking test in ages! Yay! I'm not a failure in something!! And since I made a bet to my mom (since she believed I wouldn't pass it because I fail a lot of tests and I haven't studied at all for English) I now get 75 euros. Geez. I better not spend it in a day o.o I have another one coming this Saturday that I've failed three times in a row, that worries me more than this one. Cuz this one has maths, science, problems and I'm horrible for that

But, hey, look, progress! I got a degree in English! I PASSED SOMETHING! I DID SOMETHING! YAY!

Thank you for your words, but like I said, I did not study anything at all for the English tests, so I don't feel like it's something I worked hard for. I rarely ever do that. It comes with my own laziness and horrible procrastination. But I didn't study because.. my level of English is good enough. The tests were more of talking and writing than verbs and grammar which would be what I'd have problems with, since that you have to study stuff in your brain. And what the tests asked me, I'm pretty fine with. I had my doubts I'd not pass since I think I had made some mistakes but I guess they thought my wording with the speeches was enough to give me the degree and stuff!

I like learning languages and all, but I hate studying and I'm just horrible at it, with learning, with studying as the literal sense of it, grabbing something and memorizing, but mostly I'm just HORRIBLE at things that got to do with maths and problems and stuff.. cuz my brain is lazy, as I said, and I never ever was good with it either. My brother had problems, too. It's normal for me. So wish me luck for the saturday one which worries me the most than anything. Still thank you for your words though. While I don't feel extra super excited, I'm partially glad that I passed something and will get a degree that may be of help when I do job searching. What place over here does not hire you if you know English? :)

Coming from a guy that can probably make an essay in his sleep (because I actually have), congratulations over passing your English exams!

I admit, studying can be a pain at points, but it's very helpful. There were times where I wasn't doing particularly in a class, with part of the reason being I didn't ask enough questions about lessons or did much in them. While I have been able to raise grades before, the last two years have shown me that I haven't really cared as much as I used to, as I've barely passed some classes with a D. It made me pretty depressed before I had to get told: the best you can is good enough. So while I may have messed up somewhat, I at least know I put in the effort and try again the next time. By that point, I'll know to be better.

So don't be worried about whether you'll fail your next few exams. Be concerned with studying and making sure you know all the information. It'll really pay off.

Lastly, once you're done with all this, go buy that album you wanted that was on discount. It'll be a well fitting reward.

If you do pass your Master Difficulty Test, I'm pretty sure you can convince them on anything. I've made a deal with my dad that once I graduate, I'll get a quality phone, after dealing with serviceable phones. Just study and do the best you can. Because the best you can is good enough.

I was born speaking Spanish, yet I feel much better speaking English. Heck, I feel like I know a lot of words that the modern mind wouldn't even think exists. This might have to do with me teaching myself to read when I was about 2/3. I really grew accustomed to the language.

Now since everyone goes to college for some reason, and it means they have to lower the levels of some of their classes for the lowest common denominator. I don't use the term LCD in regard to dumb people necessarily, but to people who don't care at all about academics and just want to smoke weed and fuck bitches in college.

Indeed. I don't really think there's really any females that have much appearance on this forum. Granted. I'm still confused about Momonoki, but that's besides the point.

I'm probably gonna keep the Yellow Diamond Pearl schtick, since the Gems technically have no gender, even though they're all pretty much women. I just really like the character, even though she had only one appearance. Plus, my name sounds like something an edgy kid came up to sound cool, so no confusion over gender there.

Why else did I choose the character? It allowed me to be something different. It also allows to improve writing a character, since I want to hone that skill.

Pearl was already a great character, but Season 2 took it further by throwing in Blue and Yellow.

I was gonna consider keeping that one, but I decided that the character would want a better image of herself, so that wouldn't be the right way to go. But it might come back, especially since it perfectly describes the character.

Been on hold on Bose support call for about 30 minutes now. Haven't even talked to an actual person yet.

I am trying to make a complete "RAW" of Saint Seiya TV anime - remastered DVD version. All the rips around the 'net have French and Portuguese dubs and subs attached so after a serious Bing-fu, I finally managed to make a version that has only Japanese audio and no subtitles at all, it was a mix of luck and trial-and-error but I finally made it. Now if someone could time the Japanese subs from Kitsunekko to them...

It's nice to see after 10 years, they can actually learn from the past. My big concern is that this might end up being a tie in to that movie they're planning, like that of Ratchet & Clank. But the game that accompanied the movie ended up being a critical and financial success, whereas the movie crashed and burned. So who knows. This has been in development since Generations, so there's promise there.

Sega most definitely care for the main series. Sonic Lost World, as mixed as it was received, definitely had effort put into it. I really liked the game, since it displayed that they were willing to change it up after having relied on the boost gameplay a lot. It's not perfect, but it deserves better than a lot of people give it credit for.

Sonic Boom was definitely treated more as a product in their eyes, hence why that was rushed. Even with the TV series being moderately successful, the games (Rise of Lyric in particular) really hit the nail in the head for people that Sonic could never escape the bad. So much so that some go out of their way to boldly claim Sonic was never good in the first place (I'm looking at you, Game Grumps).

All in all, whatever game Sonic Team has on their hands, it's going to have to go through a lot of harsh judgement, whether it'll be necessary or not. I just want it to be great so that people can shut up. Some might still be picky about it (the fan base is bad, after all), but I want the general public to know Sonic can be good again.

I have a good feeling about this next one. But I think, by now, I'm more irritated by the complaints of the sub-par games rather than the games themselves.

Here's the thing: it's far more easier to talk about a fundamentally flawed game than a good one. There is simply more details to discuss. Sonic has had enough problematic game that the riffing material unfortunately becomes endless. Even when you talk about the good games, people will always bring up the bad onee, since something more negative sticks in your brain. Every franchise has their bad moments, but Sonic has gathered quite the collection of it.

They're really good games, but... they're not? They have a lot of imperfections (the engine, etc), and they're the Sonic Team sort, but that doesn't keep them from being very enjoyable.

I like to think of Sonic Adventure as being 5/6th playable, since the Big fishing section is the only intolerable one for me. I like every character, but it's clear Sonic is the best of the whole bunch.

Sonic Adventure 2 is a much more difficult beast to tackle. 2/3rds of the game is playable, since the treasure hunting sections have taken a nose dive. The Sonic/Shadow sections are still the best to play (if a bit too linear), but the mechanic is decent too (if only having worse controls).

Basically, I would say that there is one gameplay style in each game that will be worse than others, but will be a fine overall enjoyable experience.

It's all simply musical tastes. It appeals to some, but not others.

Sonic 1 (and Sonic 2) doesn't really do much for me. I simply like the others in the franchise better.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles were supposed to be one game, so I like for the soundtrack to be both combined. It goes more natural I feel.

It just might be the more flashier and bouncier style. It also could be because one would be more focused on the game. I recommend listening to the 20th Anniversary set for the JPN soundtrack and Sonic The Hedgehog Boom for the USA soundtrack. If neither sway you, then either I didn't do a good job or no one can.

Granted, music, a lot of the time, has to grow on me. It wasn't until a couple of repeated listens that I grew to love Daft Punk's discography. If it needs to appeal to you instantly, then I'm not that guy. I could only ever say to keep listening to it.

There's a huge folder I got from here for a lot of edits.
This includes trimmed sessions, as it's no longer the original leaked sessions complete with silence and gaps.

Lossy material gets its own entire folder.
I have to run through those sometime and use MP3Trim/MP3Gain/etc to process them.
Both of those programs don't re-encode the audio. They 'losslessly' trim or alter the volume of an MP3.
Safest way to do it for MP3.

AAC is trickier. AACTrim/AACGain is outdated. No longer developed.
But, for trimming, I looked up how to use FFMPEG to do trims. Which doesn't re-encode the lossy audio. It just cuts and copies to a new file.
Gaining, I stick to media players that use ReplayGain and then just use that. Even the phone app has ReplayGain. Just tags, no re-encoding (although you could, start with lossless, encode to lossy with Foobar2000 and apply ReplayGain while encoding).

I've had this idea to make a suite of some of the more calm, peaceful sort of music from the Star Wars films, which could potentially consist of music or cues from Episode I, II, and IV.

I mean, joining music from one film to another from the prequel trilogy would work very well, even from the prequel trilogy to The Force Awakens. But say trying to combine a cue from Episode I and one from Episode IV, there's a big difference in recording quality/production there. Hoping I can maybe pull it off....

I met one of the greatest people ever last night, Howard Shore. The concert they had with my local city's wonderful Orchestra was absolutely breathtaking. There's no quality in 1080p movies, but a lot of people will say "it plays".
1080p movies from itunes is like toast with that last bit of butter spread out too much to try cover the slice but just never enough butter. :smrt:

Also, I'm gonig to overlook the blockyness that comes with digital downloads.
The murky look for dark scenes.

Amazon actually pumps a constant 10Mbps for their 1080p movies.
But those are hard to get now.

Just finished shipping packages/envelopes of things I've sold on eBay and also had to ship another thing to a customer because apparently what I sent them was missing something. Also was shipping something out to a good friend.

Today was kind of hectic though, work felt extremely long, had to take off yesterday because of a dentist appointment and the fact that I am already making that day up another way. Speaking of the dentist, I cracked/chipped my tooth today. I was eating dinner with my family at BJ's Brewhouse, and we ordered the Combo Appetizer that they have, and with it includes a bowl of Spinach & Artichoke dip. I dipped my chip into the dip and upon chewing, it felt really hard, and it hurt to chew. I spit out what I was eating, and a piece of the bowl came out of my mouth; also, I noticed that the bowl was indeed chipped on the side. Later after feeling my teeth with my tongue, I noticed that one of my bottom right molars in my mouth felt rigid. Upon arriving home, I looked in the mirror to see that there was a little chip in my tooth, but I'm sure for a tooth, it's quite a large chip. I am going to return to the dentist and make an appointment as soon as I can.

I also filled out a form so that they (the restaurant) has to pay for the work done. I have never had such a worse day in my life.

Also, this is the first time in about 2 weeks that I have had Internet in the house, it's nice to finally have some access to the web at home again.

Downloading a 6 GB file. It's been an hour already and only 30%. I'll be waiting...

I know logging out does that, but if you close out of every single page/tab, both mobile and desktop/anything else you have FFShrine open on, will it say offline then?

You can turn on "invisible mode" and appear offline all the time, even when you are logged in.

Ripping VGM

All right, just installed another 4 GB stick of ram, going from a total of 4 sticks to 2 sticks.

Before:

2x 1 GB sticks + 1x 2 GB stick + 1x 4 GB stick = a total of 8 GB.

Now:

2x 4 GB sticks = 8 GB.

I later found out you want all of the same exact specs for the ram that's in your computer. There can be no variation, or your computer's performance will not be all that it can be. :)

It all needs to be the same. Not as in ram count, of course. :p

Yes, for ram, it goes with the weakest link.
It's a lot easier to dumb down specs rather than trying OC smaller ones to match bigger ones.

Same sizes for sets help a lot, too.

So Saturday I'm going to the eye doctor so I can get checked to make sure I'm not going blind(er) and then get new glasses the week after.

Currently, my metal frame got corroded away from sweat.
I used masking tape on it and an exacto-blade to trim the tape down so I have visibility.

"TimeFrame" is a walking simulation about the end of a world in slow motion as a meteor slowly descends to destroy the world.

A gravity weapon to destory the planet.
Planetary implosion, ala anything from Star Trek.

Just walk around the game for an hour in slow motion trying to finish unfinished business with anyone and everyone before the world is completely destroyed.

No, yesterday night, the touch screen decided to stop working for whatever reason and it was very upsetting because I did not think that I had to get a new phone in such a short time.

For posting Varese threads. He was once warned by Jessie in a post, and he said if it happens again he'll be banned. It can't be anything else, really.

But don't fret, it's temporary, for sure. Rarely ever a ban here is forever, and his ban is probably just a huge warning to never do it again.
