If you take a look there are actually a lot of films that do that still... they'll have a 4-channel mono stems mix for one version of a trailer and a 4-channel stereo music/fx mix for another version.

So I got a Huawei Y6 or something close to it.
It's on Android 5.1.1 so that's a vast upgrade over the 4.2.x I had previously.
It only has 2G and "4G" wireless.
No 5G. My modem can spit 5G. But not 4G.

The cannibals are gone. So you just chop wood and build.
Caves are empty but still scary as hell to even look at. :laugh: It's like when you were a kid and would get scared just talking to a friend about doing something scary like a dare.

I think these days, "vegan" mode has cannibals but they're all neutral. Just so it doesn't look deserted and empty.

Current SOX binary doesn't support w64 so I looked this up again and it's gone under a lot of updates so this is giong to be fun.

Redoing some movie "fingerprints" as i never took into account any clipping over 0dbFS when downmixing to mono (esp. from 7.1 sources).

eac3to doesn't allow conversions to mono (except just the center channel).
And ffmpeg doesn't have much in terms of "peak normalization" (just rms normalization?).
And SoX doesn't support WAV over 2GB and doesn't support w64 formats.

So making a custom SoX that includes w64 is a great way to circumvent this.

SoX allows more customization on "dynamic compresion" of sorts.

It would be nice to downmix to mono and apply normalization if required rather than creating the file and needing to apply on a written file (so I don't need multiples of intermediate files). oi.

Largely, I think the main problem with so many software is Windows upgrading too much for devs.
2GB, 4GB wav limits? licence agreements. broader system compatibility? api changes.

I don't think they want to make a dozen builds for certain cases.

On my way back from dinner (well lunch) with my partner's parents.

Bojack Horseman is a weird animated show. Describing it, is almost impossible for some people. It's kind of a comedy.. or, it's suposed to be.. because in some moments, it gets too damn real, like TOO much, deep, and not scary deep, but LIFE deep, in the most weirdest moments ever. It sometimes gets you emotional, and for some people, can get you really into the show. However.. if you're into watching any type of show.. I'd recommend ya to watch it. And the creator himself said Season 3's gonna be even way more frustrating, lol. A good thing about this is that this show can be rewatched many times and discover its depthness more and more every time.

Like, probably the end of Season 2, Episode 11, really hits me and a few more people, very hard. Like, you get saddened by how big of a fuck up it is. How perfect the thing could have been, but luck was never big on Bojack. I dunno if the BoJack Horseman will ever go down in history, but it's really a one of a kind show, something about it, it's unique, and new, and amazing. It's not just a cool show just because "it's deep" there's just a lot of amazing things into it.

If you guys think I talk too much about Zootopia here (which I really don't) you should see my Facebook. :laugh: Tell ya what though, I really really have a feeling Zootopia's gonna be a great movie, without any major bias for being a major fan, trust me in this, all I have seen and heard, I know it's gonna be so good.. but not a masterpiece though. I already know the plot twist villain. Predictable if you start thinking a lot of it and go with the one you think it's gonna be less. But the villain plan, what they want to do it's not really original and barely makes sense, and there's a emotional scene between Judy and Hopps that is nothing new either and has appeared in many other Disney movies but the way they do it might make it really great and emotional nonetheless. But everything else of the movie, the jokes, the animation, the characters, are what's gonna make this movie good.

Also, I don't know why exactly, but I get to see Zootopia first before anyone else, as it premieres here on February 12. Literally Spain is the first country to premiere it :erm:

in bed, waiting for a render to finish. realized i fucked up the lenght of the snake.

Just got back from another lovely adventure at work.

It's turned into more a commitment, it's not even a job now. I spend my life at work. I closed wally at 11 as usual and went down to the other McDonalds I work at (across the street, I work here more than wally) to meet my friend Michealla, she was off at midnight. I got there around 11:05 and saw that they were getting fucked (the usual for that place, understaffed and in the heart of a redneck canadian municipality). Without thinking, despite having finished 8 and a half hours of work, I hopped on the floor, still in my uniform and got them smoked out. I helped them out right up until midnight. I didnt even pucnh in for it, I did it completely voluntarily and somehow that was completely okay.

At what point does your workplace become something like that, where you're completely willing to work without pay, because you want to, work long hours, because you want to, come in on your day off, because you WANT TO. Why do I feel this way, it's McDonald's ffs but I can't seem to get enough of being there and working there. The stuff I do for McDonalds isn't anything ANYONE should do regardless of where they work, and yet I take pride in doing it, like working for 16 hours straight yesteday, because the closing manager called in sick. IT FELT GREAT AND I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY

Tamed a Quetzal in ARK on my own. By golly gosh, that was the most difficult tame I've ever had to endure.

Here's a short rundown for people who don't care! Yay!

Step 1: Breed a bird with a high enough stamina to endure such a task.
I have several Argentavis', but none of them have enough stamina to endure it. So I bred two of my seven birds with the highest stamina and hoped for the best.
- Mating: 5 minutes
- Temperature matching: 2 minutes
- Hatching: 2 hours
- Growth: 48 hours

Step 2: Tame and train a pulminoscorpius with a high enough melee damage to inflict enough torpor to the Quetzal to knock it out.
Again, I have plenty of scorpions, one of which with almost 400% melee damage but not quite. They are unable to be bred, so I had to find a high enough level one. I got lucky and found a perfect tame.
- Searching: 3 hours
- Taming: 4 hours
- Training: 24 hours

Step 3: Find a Quetzal
Rarest creature in the game, excluding the Giga and alphas...
- Searching: 1 hour

Step 4: Knock it out.
Found a level 60. 3,400 torpor. 400 torpor with my scorpion. Had to carry my scorpion with my bird, set it to aggressive and make it sting the quetzal in order to inflict torpor damage and knock it out.
- Knocking it out: 1.5 hours
- Resting: 10 minutes

Step 5: Taming
Now to tame it.
- Protective wall building: 20 minutes
- Taming: 4 hours

So yeah. It was a long and tedious task but after all of that, I reigned victorious with a level 94 Quetzal!
- Total time: Approx. 87 hours.

It doesn't look so pretty. Like there's ringing to it. Sharpening.
And it's not an even 1920x800 trasnfer either.
There's like 2 pixels on each side that can be cropped off.
And the top and bottom crop is not even either.

Trying to figure out this 'FLAC Encoding' thing.

I've never done CD to FLAC before so I'm a tad confused on it.

Last time I ripped/burned one of my CDs was back in like 2005, I think.

So easy to go from FLAC to 320, but making sure I have a good and proper DVD drive to do this is...weird.

Going to FLAC is like giong to WAV. Only you end up with FLAC instead. :)

I've never done WAVE either.

Last time I ripped one of my CDs was on an old XP machine with MusicMatch.

Thinking of re-installing Win7 on my laptop.
It's not functioning that great. Some tools I tried to fix some things just crippled admin functionality.

Windows 8 gets a bad name but it's not all that bad. I'd install Win 8.
If you want the old Win 7 layout, install Classic Shell.

It's an OEM laptop from Samsung. Don't know if everything will be peaches and cream if I use Win8 on it.
Laptops have worse compatibility than OEM desktops.

Just finished encoding Suicide Squad trailer in 2K/10bit/YV24.
Plays super nice and looks better downscaled on my monitor (1280x1024) than the 1080p trailer downscaled.
Might keep the lossless intermediate to do a 1080p remaster of the trailer.
The lossless video is 24GB for just a 2:23 trailer.
I bloated it to 16bit since the source is 12bit. Then dithered down to 10bit for the x264 encode.

Once I get the 10bit 1080p trailer done, then I'll toss the lossless file and move on to doing some weird things to the VVitch trailer.
Slow it down, reverse it. :laugh: Vertically flip it.

Yes, I get it; Pok�mon XY anime, originally, has the music of the recent movies, over and over again, yes, but they are actually GOOD, and work perfectly every moment that they're shown; and is MUCH better than the shitty mickey mousey cartoony crappy music that you guys have put to it, that literally sounds every second and never stops. Now, why did you guys do it with the movies, too, also. That's something I don't get, the movies have all original music. No reason to delete it. Other than I guess they were already paying the composers so why not use him up? Seriously that's shitty. Something that 4kids themselves decided to stop doing (replacing music) because they felt it was stupid, now TPCI decides to do it! And it's even worse than the american stock music. Just, why? Did I tell ya guys about how upset I am because the voice of Judy Hopps that was in the trailers, which was literally PERFECT, was Judy all along, first choice and it was the one.. the voice irradiated all that Judy's about, happiness, optimism, cuteness.. they've changed it for the final movie dub, for one worse? The actress who dubbed Merida, did no bad at her but Judy's voice.. just average.. sometimes not even fitting, sounds more mature for Judy. And it's just. It pisses me off the change. Just thinking how perfect the movie could have been with that one voice..

I am talking about the castillian spanish dub, of course. I know you guys will say it's nothing but I'm not the only one who hated the voice change, it's just.. why? Why change a voice that, if the directors heard it they'd fight to keep it because it's literally the whole Judy character..?

Look, after the Spider-Man 2002 Spanish dub had some of Tobey Maguire being heard even though the guy they got to dub him sounds nothing like him, I'm not sure if dubbing on movies can always be professional. Still sucks to hear though.

I have a Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT 512MB. It's okay, but in the past when I didn't have enough RAM
in my computer, while gaming it overheated a couple times and I would have to shut it down. It did not do that anymore after I got more RAM, but afterwards I noticed it didn't run a select few games as well as it did.

Look, after the Spider-Man 2002 Spanish dub had some of Tobey Maguire being heard even though the guy they got to dub him sounds nothing like him, I'm not sure if dubbing on movies can always be professional. Still sucks to hear though.

This is not about "all dubs suck".. you see, I honestly, when I was a kid, I loved dubs a lot, I even wanted to be a voice actor. But now that I'm 18 and have a good understanding of English I tend to watch more stuff in English instead of dubs when I get the chance, but not because of that I completely ignore the dubs. If they're nicely done, I'll watch them. I mean in some cases, even the dub makes a movie better. So yeah. The thing is here, they just fucked up, changing a perfect voice that was chosen, to another, more horrible voice.

You can't control it. It's not a big deal. There are hundreds of torrents of the same film, hundreds of torrents of the same album. I'm sure there is a torrent for lossless Kung Fu Panda 3. It's inevitable.
