Had a really lovely day today. My folks and big sis turned up for the day and we had a really great time together. This evening, we even had a video chat with my other sister who couldn't be here, so we were all together for dinner in my room thanks to Facebook. Family is such a special thing.

Yeah, I've been thinking of getting the next big sale at NCIX for a mSD at 64GB.
They seem to have good sales for the UHS I (at 10).

The highest I can get that is legitimate is 200gb SanDisk Ultra. Just came out in July. Don't think there's anything else higher at the moment. Luckily phone supports up to 2TB..but I don't see that happening for a long time.

I'm currently talking to a friend over Facebook, who, I knew about it, but I've never talked about it until now, that also likes movies (he writes a lot of screenplays for himself and wants to work in movie business) and film score music.. so in a post I made that I really really wanted John Powell to score Zootopia, he agreed and said "either him or Michael Giacchino" and there we started talking. I decided to tell him, curious to know, if he only listened to Hollywood music scores. Because it's a really funny thing to me, I listen to film score music and soundtracks but not all of it it's Hollywood or USA soundtracks, I also have a few of videogame soundtracks and japanese movie/anime soundtracks which are really good, so I decided to introduce him to the first two scores I have in my mind and one of my most favourites; the scores for the Lucario and Keldeo movies of the Pok�mon franchise, by Shinji Miyazaki. It was really fun how, I passed him a Youtube link for the soundtrack, and while he was listening I kinda was giving him a crappy essay of what I think of every tune I like. I stopped halfway because I thought I was being annoyed even though I wasn't. I rarely ever get to have a topic to talk about like this, even less if it's something I like about. So after saying sorry like a few times, he told me it was really okay and he really liked how I am passionate about something I like. x3 and then I realized, I wasn't being annoyed but I felt like it because I was kinda giving speechs about the soundtracks talking a lot.

That's one thing that stands out the most between all the films, none have ever given anyone's ass as much screen time as the second film.

I can remux the bluray for that and take some HD screenshots if anyone wants it for their wallpaper.

The bluray is the same transfer no matter what release or boxset you have.
I think only thing different is the first barebones blurays that initially came out before the boxset.
Even all the Scream/Shout!Factory boxsets copied the first Warner Bros boxset.

Their target demographic is kids. Kids love 3D farting ogres, not cartoons based off of biblical adventures.

Got to get up at 7:30, shower, eat, maybe do a little note-bashing for choir, get to the MMC Loan Counter for 9am to return the camera + tripod from yesterday, plus try to persuade the chaps there to let me have the SD card a little longer so I can actually retrieve our footage using my friend's MacBook because mine's slot doesn't work anymore, then start editing the footage into a one-minute film as much as possible before my 12 - 2pm documentary production lecture, then grab some lunch, continue editing film, get into town for my appointment at the bank for 4pm, then get back up to campus to do more editing, then get to choir rehearsal for 6pm, then CU from 7:30 - 8:30pm, then another quick rehearsal till 9pm. Then more editing if necessary. Then upload final cut before Tuesday morning's Camera, Lighting and Sound lecture.

But don't tell anyone. I'm having too much fun listening to my amazing music collection through amazing headphones. Currently testing them with Toy Story 3 - the best, climactic cues at the end - 5m8-14. :D

Additionally my alarms are 17 minutes ahead of real time.

You want that Saturday morning feeling when you wake up at an odd time (8:11am, etc) and knowing there's nothing to be done.

12 years of exactly that. My university classes are kinda the same,
but none of them start at the same time throughout the week. (I mean, they all start on 00 and 30,
but on monday, I start at 8:30, Tuesday, 8:00, Wednesday, 11:00, Thursday, 10:30, and Friday, 9:00).
I think I did that on purpose without knowing it to avoid the stagnant feel of doing the exact same thing over
and over again. Even reading about those constant grade-school times we had to keep up with made me
cringe. It's like we're robots!

One of the most common things about old people dying of natural causes: They die early in the morning.
Around the same time they would normally get up to get ready for their 9-5 job.
Decades of long term work and same hours like that, when they got no work and are nearing their time, they don't get out of bed.
Well, not physically, at least.

Their next 9-5 is waiting for them, whereever they go (up, down, middleground, etc).

So before you go to sleep, best make sure you prepare for your next shift. ;)

Alarms are always traumatizing when you're in deep, R.E.M. sleep.
It shocks your whole system. It rattles the mind something fearce you can never come back from.
Whether you're driving, sitting in the passenger seat, the bus, or the toilet.
That sound always comes back to haunt you for another brief second of the day.
You can brood on it and dread the next alarm, but that ain't going to stop it from happening.
Whether it's real, or a memory.

If you can figure out an alarm that uses coffee to wake you up, I can think you can set your future to something more pleasant and satisfying than letting fear snatch the good out of you.

Maybe intravenously start pumping coffee into you? :erm:

Sitting in Costa, waiting out the rain before heading back to campus for a choir rehearsal. It's been a crazy day. Went to bed at 7:30am this morning, set the alarm for 8:30am, didn't wake up when it went off, slept in till 10:55am, missed the hire deadline for the camera and tripod by two hours, got charged �4 when I think it should have been �2, only just managed to stay awake in documentary production from 12-2pm, had lunch with a friend and finished cutting down our film from 1.32 minutes to 1.02 minutes, uploaded it for tomorrow's class, got a lift into town and perused a couple of second hand shops, buying five DVD's, before my bank appointment at 4pm, which was over by 4:30pm and now I'm sitting here, with nothing to do till 6pm except wait for the rain to stop. If it hasn't by 5:30pm, I'm just gonna have to get really, really wet walking back to campus.

Ah, life.

Took a long day off yesterday of doing any editing.
Was I ever exhausted from lack of sleep.

Going to play a bit of a game then crunch on editing again.

Got a lot converted to WAV to get ready for Sony SoundForge.

Maybe I just decided not to remember it. That's how much I didn't like the trailer. Only 2 things made me see it: all the ads that said "FROM THE DIRECTOR OF 'TRON: LEGACY'" and the fact that M83 (technically Anthony Gonzalez & Joseph Trapanese) were scoring.

As a single member of M83, he co-scored the film.
As a whole group, M83 only did the one song used for the end credits.

It's nowhere near as saying "Daft Punk co-scored Tron: Legacy" as Daft Punk is really just two people, whom both co-scored with JT.

I don't know who all consists of "Junkie XL", so I don't know how accurate it is to say "Junkie XL" scored a film vs. "Tom Holkenborg".

or use fresh ones.

you could use air-tight sealed containers with baking soda and let a book sit in there until it does't smell.

to mask the smell, you can throw some fresh apples in a bowl. let them go bad. then replace them.

you could also try those deoderizing boxes from Arm & Hammer of baking soda where you peel the sides off.

maximum effect: saran wrap your book shelf to seal in the baking soda boxes.

I love my books. I've got quit the collection. Maybe keeping 2 bookshelves in
my room wasn't the best idea though. Maybe I just need to remove all the

soda though, we use it as work in the mini coolers cause the milk bottles
leave a smell.

feelings, but sometimes it's nice to come into my room and, y'know, not suffocate because
the smell sometimes becomes overwhelming if I leave the fan off for too long. Not so much
even a smell, really. It's more of, I don't know, the air is thick and musty to breathe, I only
assumed it came from the books.

is a BBCode for justified text. Just something I noticed after posting that tidbit up there. Oh,
look I'm doing it again.

:erm: if milk bottles are leaving a smell, then some of them are expiring.

If you have a carpet, you can sprinkle a lot of baking soda on the floor and let it sit for half an hour or something. And then vacuum.
That will help clean odor from carpet.
If you got curtains that match the carpet, you can give those a good wash or dryclean.

Should take the books down and give the shelves a nice scrub/polish. That helps too.

Also check for moisture. that's bad.

2) don't leave unattended/uneaten food in your room for more than it needs to be
3) create a new room just for masturbation. even if you catch it all in tissue, your body emits sweat and odors that your books can easily trap.
4) keep pets out of the room. they leave behind their fur that would contaminate things.
5) brush yourself off with a sage brush outside every morning. completely nude. you need something abrasive to brush off all the dead skin cells your body loves to carry around even if you shower every day. in fact, do that like 2-6 times a day as your body decays a lot faster than you ever want to know.
6) on that note, when you're on the computer and have an itch, don't scratch your balls in the bedroom. run to the bathroom for a good scratching session. turn the fan on so your dead skin cells go flying up and out and hits some poor bird flying overhead.
7) take your books out, fan them open and use an air steamer on them and let them dry before putting them in. slice some garlic into the water or lemon. depending what you're in the mood for. serves up to 12.
8) try not to sneeze in your room. all the germs and bacteria you project at 5K miles per nanosecond will begin to grow into cultures on your books and create a civilization there and keep growing exponentially every time you sneeze again.
9) coughing is the same as sneezing, except at a less-acceralated rate.

If I think of more tips, I'll let you know. ;)

Thank you for the tips :) I am quite sensitve to smells, so will have to see
if there's some mild ones I can get. I do not mind leaving the fan on 24/7,
but depending on the weather, it makes my room really cold. So I turn it
off to warm up my room but then it's like, wow I can't actually breathe in
here without it >.>

letting the room get warm is just asking for bacteria cultures to cultivate their community faster.
bacteria accelerates at room temperature, or thereof.
To burn them all, you would need stronger temperatures.

Lol. Thank you for these. I have never smoked before, and neither has anyone in my house,
so that really isn't an issue. House was built 11 years ago and the carpet in my room hasn't
once been cleaned. I'll add that to the list of things to do! As for my dog, she doesn't seem
to like coming in my room anyways. But there's definitely a lot of things in here that need to

About to hit the sack. Had a really lovely day visiting the grandparents. The beginning of the day wasn't so good though. I'm sure I'll laugh about it in 20 years or so, but right now I still can't bare to think about it. But for your sakes, I'll tell you.

I had booked a return train ticket up to Oxford from here in Winchester - the outward train leaving Winchester at 9:34am, getting into Oxford at 10:38am. My parents and sister were instead travelling up from London by car, but had agreed to pick me up from Oxford station when I arrived (at 10:38am) and drive us all to the grandparents together.

Well, last night I watched RUSH and didn't get to bed until about 1:30am. At about 6am, after about four and half hours' sleep, I chose to wake up from a nightmare, but then foolishly decided to go back to sleep for the last hour before my alarm was set to go off at about 7am (I had to leave my flat at 9am to walk to the station for 9:30am).

The next thing I know, I'm being woken up by my phone ringing. I fumble about and see that it's my sister calling. My heart literally stops beating. I answer the call:

"Hey Becky..."

"Hey! Where are you?"

"What time is it?"

"Where are you?"

"WHAT TIME IS IT?"

"Ten Twenty."

*silence*

"Sh*t."

"Where are you??"

"Still in bl**dy bed."

I can honestly say I have never been more horrified in my entire life. It was literally the WORST feeling I have ever experienced. Thankfully, I was still able to use the tickets I'd bought, but I missed the next train to Oxford by five minutes and had to wait an hour for the next one, at 11:36am, getting into Oxford about 12:40pm. The bus then took me to my grandparents' home town in about half an hour, where I then walked to their house, arriving at 1:33pm - about 2 1/2 hours later than planned. But I had a lovely day from then on. Really lovely. So it was still completely worth it. Got back to Winchester about 11pm.

Also, I got to watch Iron Man again on my iPod whilst travelling to and from Oxford. So that was cool. A nice way to pass the time and take my mind off my utter stupidity.

So that was my day.

Maybe that was an overstatement - but it sure felt awful. I've felt terrible about other things in the past, but in it's own way this was unbearable. :p
