Remuxing Jet Li's "Hero" (2002).

Got my hands on a German bluray, which has the exact same transfer as the HD-DVD. Which means the GER/HD-DVD versions are uncut.
It's just more dialogue, really.
But, it's grainy and noisy as hell. It looks horrible in HD. It's better suited for DVD or any SD format, really.
The US BD's are cleaned up, but lack the extra dialogue scenes. They look better, cleaned up. But there's still a lot of scenes that look unimpressive in HD.
Given that it's a "Made in China" movie, the film stock is cheap and everything about the production is cheap.
Other Asian-made movies look a lot better with upgraded technology as a source. House of Flying Daggers has actual HD details compared to Zhang Yimou's Hero. It feels like this movie was made for the SD era of technology. DVD and VHS.
Colors are pretty, which is the biggest attraction of the film.
But, really pay attention to it and you'll see a lot of it looks like it's upscaled.

I'm EXTREMELY interested in this game. The game, the environment, the WATER, it looks beautiful. I love the tropical setting.

I get some glitches in the playback.
Don't know if that's related to odd framerate "71",
because I set custom refresh rate for NTSC movie playback.

NTSC movies: 23.976 (converted from 24)
To get smoother playback on my monitor, I hacked my monitor to display at a refresh rate of: 72.928
23.976 * 3 = 71.928
Because it wouldn't let me select: 47.952 (23.976 * 2)
Valid numbers to select for me were: 60,70,75
So I hacked it to check if 71.928 would work. It did, so I use that.

Not sure where the glitches are coming from for the gameplay though.

It's about processing/editing.

Which can mean you are talking about the core from the lossless DTS stream, but no one says it like that.
But, in the case where the studio has limited hardware for recording, spectrograms look "lossy".
Which doesn't make it actually lossy.
It just means the hardware used had its limitations.

But it's not as simple as just saying "DTS" as there are plenty of formats to the DTS specification.
As well as there correct ways to decoding it and the wrong way.

I do know what you're talking about, I've done my fair share of editing audio, at least enough to where I have experience.
It's best to edit with lossless files (probably wav, FLAC) during the process, that way you can go from there with formats.

By the way, a lot of my experience came from when I did The Force Awakens FYC/OST edit. :p

When recording / composing, I usually keep a WAV or FLAC file, to keep it lossless, as you may have noticed, I've sent you WAV files before.

But you're right, FLAC is still lossless, there's no point in keeping very large files, when FLAC is a reasonable size for the purpose.

Make sure you know what you are doing otherwise you will be looked down on by the editors like us stupid people.

I went from an HTC Droid Incredible 2 to an iPhone 6 (my first iPhone). I haven't looked back.

Though I wasn't ready to lose my Droid when I did, I was already planning on getting the 6. Needed a few more weeks' worth of pay. The Droid went airborne from my shorts pocket when I rode the Thunderbolt on Coney Island :laugh:

Having a Rest from Uploads for a While With all The Disney / TV Compilations and Other Posts I am Glad So many Are Enjoying My Collections.

Software updates GALORE! Trailers, music, samples, etc.

Finally found an audio and video codec recognised by Sony Vegas. Took me so long to find one, I recorded upwards of two hours of Team Fortress 2 with my friend, only to realise... It doesn't support MP3 as an audio codec...
Changed it to AAC, and it works. I can record at 60 frames, edit, render and upload now, finally. Open Broadcaster Software is something I've always wanted to use but when I've used it and similar programs in the past, DxTORY for example, I never found them to be as intuitive as I soon found out they were.

I'm looking forward to recording some more multiplayer stuff. I think collabing is what my channel needs right now, I'm probably just going to struggle finding someone with such a passion as I. But I'll find someone.

I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the video being 60FPS.

Windows Media Player could play the video with the MP3 codec but couldn't play sound.
But VLC Media Player played the video and the sound.

FPS has nothing to do with it.

You broke "direct show filters" somehow.
Codecs are tricky to fix.


VLC plays it because it comes with its own MP3 decoder.
WMP relies on an external codec (ACM).
MPC-HC has the option of including internal codecs or use external.

Also, I realised I haven't converted my Mad Max rip to M4A, it's still WAV. I have to organise everything too, and I suck at organising tracks like this, especially for sandboxes. No idea what to do. :/

Go under "DirectShow Filters" for whatever bit Soony Vegas you're using (64bit SV, then check under 64bit DSF).
Make sure some sort of MP3 decoder is enabled for DSF.

CTT is good for diagnostic checks. Create a report log with that and then post in VideoHelp forum and someone will be able to tell you exactly what's wrong.

I'm about to start on a World at War and Black Ops project (respective to their own), and it is a little complicated; Black Ops a little more so than World at War, in some ways.

For Black Ops mainly, it looks like I'll have to edit some of the files together, like this for example:



These can surely be edited together to make one track, considering they it sounds like that it how it's supposed to play anyway, such when I did a short edit.
Other files with the same name like these sound like they're supposed to be, but sometimes I can't get it to sound like it makes sense, so I don't know, it might take a while.

Also, the PC version isn't completely lossless, in spite of them being WAV files, and I wasn't able to get the XMA files converted like most can be, so...
