Here is my film edit for The Lion King, as requested by DAKOfTheOTA. I don't usually take on requests, but some of the film versions already comprise my own personal 3CD set so it wasn't a stretch to do this. I still prefer the Legacy Collection versions, though: I love the true representations of the music. The track titles were taken from the DVD version's scene titles.

I'm not uploading mirrors, my connection is somewhat slow and it took me long enough to get this uploaded to MediaFire. Others are welcome to, of course.

The Legacy Collection features the entire score, this time, fully orchestrated, with little to no synthetic gimmicks like in the past releases, or the movie, so it does sound weird. I wonder if the source from the disc is the recording sessions, because there seems to be no film mixes for the score (except the intros to the songs)

The source of the Legacy Collection was the original recording stems. Those 'synthetic gimmicks' all come from the demo versions of the cues and were never intended to be used in that way. The songs are sourced from the film stems, however.

This is a mirror of ggctuk's original upload. I don't like posting open links anymore, but this is not my work.
Mine is slightly different: track names have been changed up and cue #19 is labeled as being on reel 8, not reel 7.
It's also in its original length and not split into an a, b & c.
The original sheets reflect cue #19 as being on reel 7.
But since the original leak of the complete score had cue #19 on reel 8, that's how I kept it.
The sheets also reflect the film having an actual 16th cue. However, that was scrapped and that's why there is no cue #16.
But since "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" happened to match up, I labeled it as such.
Other than that, I think everything is the same.
Don't thank me, thank ggctuk.
This is his work.
Also thank whomever made the cover.
That's not mine, either ;)

In my opinion, the answer to that is no. This presents the music as it is heard in the film, but no more or less. They cut several bits from the film.

In my opinion, YES. In my favorite cue, 8m19 An Arguement / You're Mufasa's Boy / Remember, they removed the excerpt of the main theme played on the duduk. This also happens to be my favorite piece of film score ever. For that alone the film mix trumps the Legacy Collection. And because also, well....I'm The Film Mix King :D
